Love the Lord your God | Meg Searle | THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

This week’s message was a call to return to a Bible-shaped life—not just reading Scripture on a phone, but becoming people who know God’s Word and letting it form us. In Deuteronomy 6 (the Shema), we’re reminded that loving God is more than a feeling: it’s active listening, wholehearted devotion, and choosing worship of the Lord alone—even with all the “background noise” of life. Jesus links love and obedience (John 14), and because we can’t live this out in our own strength, God promises us a new heart and His Spirit (Ezekiel 36). The takeaway: we love God because He first loved us—and one small, Spirit-led change can begin to soften and transform our hearts (Romans 12).

10 Principles | Mark Searle | LOVE : THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

This week we take flight into our new series 'Love : The greatest commandment'. We take a look at the following. - We all want freedom, but doing life “our own way” often leaves us disappointed and still searching for meaning.- The Bible’s big story is that God created us for relationship, but sin (going our own way) disconnects us from God, others, and life.- God’s commands (including the Ten Commandments) are given in the context of freedom — a good way to live, not a killjoy rulebook.- Jesus doesn’t cancel God’s law; he fulfils it by calling us back to the point of it all: God’s presence and a heart that loves God and loves neighbour.- Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, forgiveness and real life are available — not through performance, but through coming to him.

You are clean! | Mark Searle | WaterWays Vineyard

This week Mark shares how we are on a journey of knowing how God has made us clean! Then living from that place! We looked at Peter’s story after the resurrection and the surprising words in Mark 16: “Go tell his disciples — and Peter.” Even in shame and failure, Jesus makes a way back.We were reminded that Jesus has paid our debt in full. Forgiveness is not something we earn. It is something we receive and agree with. From that place of security, Jesus’ invitation is simple: “Follow me.”📅 Sundays🕐 10:30am📍 Emmanuel's Yard, TrowbridgeBring a friend and make some new ones!#SundayService #ChurchFamily #GatheredAroundJesus

It's all about Jesus | Mark Searle | 22 March

This week Mark explores anxiety and fear in today’s world, and invites us to ground ourselves in Jesus. Using John’s Gospel, it traces Jesus’ “I am” statements (bread of life, light of the world, gate, good shepherd, resurrection and the life, the way truth and the life, and the true vine) to show who Jesus is and how faith in him brings peace, direction, and spiritual nourishment. We also look at Thomas’ confession, “My Lord and my God,” encouraging us to move beyond vague belief and into a confident, lived trust in Jesus.

Finishing Well (We are all going to die!) | Mark Searle | REFINED

This week Mark wraps up looking at the story of Joseph. Catch up here where we look at the following.Life is not ultimately about building a personal legacy. It is about being caught up in God’s story, with Jesus at the centre.A sobering truth and a better hope: We will all die, but Jesus offers eternal life that starts now for anyone who chooses to follow him.Joseph’s story points beyond Joseph: Genesis frames this as the story of Jacob’s family, reminding us we are not the centre. God is.Adoption and identity: Like Ephraim and Manasseh being adopted and blessed, the New Testament says we are adopted into God’s family and become heirs with Christ. The cultural pressure: Our culture pushes us to be the author of our own story. This creates anxiety and keeps us fighting for control. The invitation: Get out of the centre and let Jesus be King. Die to self so we can live fully in him. What faithful following looks like: Not chasing “extraordinary” moments, but practising ordinary, daily obedience that makes space for Jesus to do the extraordinary.

24 Hours Marinating! | Jez Bennet | REFINED

Join us as Jez takes us further on Joseph's journey where his long-awaited dream finally starts to unfold. Jez reminds us that many callings are lived in the “now, but not yet” season. In that waiting, God grows our character, often through the people we surround ourselves with. We are encouraged to let the Holy Spirit “activate” us like yeast, to spot the difference between doubts and lies, and to build a toolbox of Scripture so we can answer the question, “Did God really say?”. Finally, we were challenged to name the dream God has placed in us, choose the right people, and invest in what God is calling us toward.

Faithful in abundance | Mark Searle | REFINED

When God brings abundance, where do you invest it — in building your kingdom or God’s? In this message Mark Searle explores the idea of “kingdoms investment”: how our storehouse reveals our loyalties, priorities, and trust. Using Joseph’s life as a template, Mark challenges listeners to examine what’s in their storehouse, how they steward resources, and how faithful investment advances God’s purposes. What you’ll hear:- A fresh look at Joseph’s stewardship in seasons of plenty- How abundance tests character and exposes what you truly value- Practical principles for investing time, talent, and treasure in God’s kingdom- Steps to shift from self-preservation to kingdom-minded generosity and legacy-buildingWatch of the the announcement about our new Storehouse PastorTakeaways:- Identify what’s in your storehouse — and what it says about your heart- Simple, actionable ways to reallocate resources toward eternal impact- Encouragement to be faithful with small and large seasons of blessing📅 Sunday's🕐 10:30am📍 Emmanuel's Yard, Trowbridge #FaithfulInAbundance #KingdomInvestment #WhatIsInYourStorehouse #Stewardship #Generosity #KingdomEconomy

Out of the Shadows | Sarah Sedgwick | REFINED

Follow on with us as Sarah explores Joseph's journey from prison to palace. We explored how Joseph spent 13 years between being sold into slavery and stepping into his purpose - but God was working the entire time. Like seeds growing in darkness, God was developing Joseph's character, humility, and the practical skills he'd need to save nations from famine.**Here's the encouragement:** Your waiting season isn't wasted. God's timing is perfect, even when it feels slow. He's building roots deep in you, preparing you for fruitfulness you can't yet see.The key? How we respond matters. Will we grow bitter or allow God to transform us? Joseph chose humility over pride, and when his moment came, he stepped into Pharaoh's court carrying the identity of a man filled with God's Spirit - not a prisoner.Whatever season you're in, remember: God is faithful to His promises. Your character is being formed, your skills are being sharpened!Want to dive deeper? Jeff Rose | Righteous Resistance | REFINED

Righteous ResistanceCatch up from Sunday as we explored the story of Joseph through the lens of "cause and effect". Jeff walks through Genesis 39:6-23, looking at Joseph's temptation by Potiphar's wife and his righteous resistance! We look at:Blessing others through God's presence: Joseph blessed Potiphar's household simply by being there, fulfilling God's promise to Abraham that those who bless God's people will be blessed.- Resisting temptation: When Potiphar's wife repeatedly tried to seduce Joseph, he didn't just refuse - he fled, leaving his robe behind rather than compromising his integrity.-Sin against God, not just people: Joseph recognized that yielding to temptation wouldn't just be a betrayal of Potiphar, but fundamentally a sin against God.- God's presence in consequences: Though Joseph suffered unjust imprisonment due to false accusations, God was with him, extending kindness and favor even in prison. The sermon challenges us to consider: Are we willing to flee temptation completely? Do we recognize that God can be present with us even in unjust circumstances?📅 Sunday's🕐 10:30am📍 Emmanuel's Yard, TrowbridgeBring a friend and experience the difference together.#SundayService #ChurchFamily #GatheredAroundJesus

But these aren't signs of God's absence; they're opportunities for Him to prepare us for the greatness He's called us to.
