Luisito Rosario is an experienced salsa singer with a charismatic stage presence and Hollywood looks. Born and raised in New Jersey with Puerto Rican heritage, he has always appreciated his Latin roots. His music blends traditional salsa rhythms with contemporary flair, making it a delightful fusion of old-school flavor and fresh sounds. Luisito’s voice resonates beautifully, capturing the essence of Latin music. If you’re a fan of salsa, you’ll definitely enjoy his energetic performances! Luisito Rosario’s music is a lively journey through the world of salsa music!n 1996, the legendary Larry Harlow from La Fania All-Stars hired Luisito to be lead vocalist for his orchestra. It’s been 23 successful years and they are still going strong. In 2002 Luisito recorded “Tumba y Bongo in Harlow’s 35th anniversary where he and the late Nestor Sanchez also recorded all the background vocals. Also in 1996 Luisito joined the popular Salsa band from New York City “Grupo Hechizo” and recorded lead vocals in their 1998 “Sin Limites” where it charted in the Top Five in the record pools. Luisito toured US, South America, and Europe collecting fans along the way.Luisito was asked to join “Los Hermanos Moreno” and remained with them for five years, also traveling the world and learned more tricks of the trade at incorporating audience’s participation in all of the shows.Luisito teamed up with Mambo City Music LTD and launched his first solo “JURAME”, showcasing all that he had learned from Harlow and Los Hermanos Moreno. With arrangements by Cuto Soto and Lucho Cueto his romantic Salsa CD marked him as a solo artist with an array of flavors.In 2005 he releases his second solo “Rumba Del Barrio” which featured the hardcore version of Salsa. Keeping all the different version of Salsa music, he focus on Charanga, Son , Mambo , Guajira and just straight forward old school style Salsa. This was dedicated to all the Salsa lovers of the world making him a favorite artist to the Salseros of the heart.In 2010 Luisito releases his third CD “Casino Rueda” where he showed his skills as a composer and producer. The CD included three English Salsa version, three romantic tracks and of course, four hard hitting “Salsa Dura” tracks. He also teamed up with “Croma Latina” from Italy recording a hit “Corazon Partido” which became a Europe favorite. And teamed up with the best arranges, Tommy Villariny, Jose Madera, and Julito Alvarado to create a Salsa lover dream production.In 2014 “Vengo A Mi Modo” where the title says it all. He went outside the box and focused on the Big Band sound of yesteryears. Featuring 2 songs (Escuchame and Princesa) with a 16 piece orchestra backing him up, which will be a collectors dream. One duet song (Fuiste Tu) with up and coming (Linda Caldas) from Cali, Colombia so radio friendly tune. Another duo with Croma Latina (Son que Son). The entire cd will focus on the big band sound with catchy lyrics and also very danceable arrangements. This by far will be Luisito’s best recording and will truly reflect the passion, pride and respect that he has for Salsa.In 2017 he released “Si Me Amaras” which includes romantic salsa as well as hot danceable tracks always focusing on his roots to the Classic Salsa sounds of the 70’s.In 2018 he has teamed up with 2 living legends feat. Andy Harlow on the flute on a remake of Tite Curet Alson’s “El Primer Montuno” which was a major hit in the 70’s. His second single will feat. Larry Harlow on the piano bringing back that Salsa Dura with his single track “Salsa Eterna”. Luisito’s mission is to revive that old school Salsa sound and make it popular and fresh again. David Leventhal is the Program Director and Founding Teacher of Dance for PD., a program developed by the Mark Morris Dance Group. David has made significant contributions to the field of dance and its impact on people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Dance for PD program offers dance classes specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Since its inception in 2001, Dance for PD has grown to be used as a model for classes in more than three hundred communities across 30 countries. David has trained more than 2,000 teaching artists in twenty-eight countries. Research and Writing: David has written extensively about the intersection of dance and Parkinson’s. His contributions include chapters in books related to health and wellness, as well as co-authorizing peer-reviewed studies on the impact of the Dance for PD approach. Dr. Xavier Marquez, PhD., is currently the Interim Department Head at University of Illinois Chicago Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition. One of his research projects involves lifespan fitness programs for older adults. He has a background in Psychology, and Public Health, most notably in physical activity and cognition of older Latinos. He is also involved with the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, at Rush University. Maestro Isidro Infante was born in Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, Puerto Rico. He originally wanted to follow his father's footsteps by studying pre-med to become a doctor, like his father. His destiny, however, had a different plan. His father influenced him into studying music. According to Maestro Isidro, his father would say, "Everyone needs music in their lives". By age of 15, he was already director of his own band Carpe Diem (live the moment). He went on to become a prolific and very successful Music Artist and Arranger. His music career expands 6 decades. He is the most famous and sought after arranger in the Genre of Salsa music. He is a Pianist, Arrangers, Composer, Musical Director of La Fania All-Star and Winner of 5 Latin Grammy Awards and a multitude of nominations. While studying music, he become attracted to the psychological aspects of music and its mystical connection to our brain function. Maestro Infante shares his knowledge of how Salsa music influences the public to the point of creating natural euphoria. Maestro Isidro Infante has worked with an array of artists, through his 60 plus career in the music industry. Mike Waters, has a Master of Arts in Applied Exercise Physiology. Mike had the honor of being the original fitness director of Timberhill Athletic Club when it opened in 1980. His training in Adult Exercise Science is in heart and chronic disease prevention. Mike has brought a “Fitness is Medicine” philosophy to his program design. He managed the Corvallis Hewlett Packard Worksite Health Program for 14 years. In this very interesting interview with David Leventhal, Director of Dance for Parkinson's, David shares his valuable expertise on how modern research on dance, has proven, slows down neurodegenerative diseases, such as dementia and other chronic disease that David pioneered a dance-based elective course that is part of the Narrative Medicine Curriculum at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. David is a founding teacher and Program Director for Dance for Parkinson's Disease, a program of Mark Morris Dance Group, a model now used in different part of the world, in 25 countries. David is a dancer himself, who received the Alan Bonander Humanitarian award from the Parkinson's Unity Walk, the Martha Hill Mid-Career Artist Award, the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), Pioneer Dance Educator Award and the 2016 World Parkinson's Coalition (WPC) Award for his distinguished contribution to the Parkinson's Community.
