This show aims to capture that feeling you get when someone just understands you -- truly the greatest gift of the human experience. My hope is that through listening, you can find peace, strength, and empowerment in your life, as it mirrors mine. This show covers topics ranging from mindset shifts, learned life lessons, current struggles, wellness tips, and all the memorable moments in between.

EP 28: taking my own advice
“The funny thing about life is: the advice we give is often what we need to hear most ” - meYou ever feel like you give amazing advice to everyone else, but when it comes to your own struggles, you feel completely overwhelmed? Today I’m gettin down to the psychology of why this is, along with why we lean on avoidance even when we have the solution. As someone who creates inspirational content every single day, that should now let you in on a little secret: I don’t have it all figured out. In fact, by repackaging similar struggles like productivity and consistency, my weaknesses are dished on the daily. Each time I fail or learn something new that I think might be helpful to all of you, I HAVE to share it. Like deadass feel compelled. But sometimes, in the midst of motivating others, I struggle to find the time and mental clarity to do things for myself. I struggle to enjoy new activities, or conversations, or breakthroughs without thinking “fuuuck I should’ve recorded that!” or “ouu I need to make an episode about this!” I have a couple major chapters closing/opening, so it's time to practice what I preach to all of you. Keeping things raw n real, this episode shows a side of me I don’t open up about too often, yet felt I should. I’m here for you & rooting for you always! EP 27: things I'm loving rn
Life is more exciting when you appreciate the little things: a new show, a new nail color, a new hobby, a new song, the list goes on.. In today’s episode, I’m giving y’all a lil insight on some of the things that have been bringing me joy lately in an effort to get you to also reflect on what has been entertaining/interesting/enjoyable for you. Having gratitude is something that I advocate for time and time again, but it’s for good reason. The moment you change your perspective, explore your curiosities, and take note of the mini wins, you will recognize that your energy directly correlates to your experiences in this life. Everything is a mirror. Put the work into your mindset and watch your reality become brighter.I’m here for you & rooting for you always! EP 26: new year, MORE me
“Your goal should never be to become someone else. Instead, your focus should be to keep becoming more yourself ” - meeWith everybody and their mom throwing around the phrase “new year, new me!” it had me thinking.. there has to be a better framework. In today’s episode, I want to encourage you NOT to become a NEW you, but instead to become MORE you. The start of a new year often feels like all or nothing. Everything begins on January 1st. You have to do better, eat better, look better, spend your time better, manage your money better.. the list goes on. It's a clean slate. It’s a chance to get to everything you’ve been putting off. It's a time to set goals and fantasize about how beautiful your life will be when all your dreams come true. So we get out our journals, head to pinterest, daydream about our bright future, and convince ourselves THIS is the year. Why is it then that we often fall flat? That we don't accomplish our goals? That we get stuck in looped patterns? Lack of gratitude, lack of reflection, and lack of connection with ourselves. In this episode, the teacher in me really came out to play. I have created a fully editable document for you to dive into 2025 and plan ahead for 2026. Two options: listen fully & reflect later OR listen & pause the ep to reflect. The choice is yours!Link to document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s9R2c7K1858cHnU_IOsKfBCPnAH6fOCQ9UPOn7SHQ74/copyPDF if you don't have a google acc: https://1drv.ms/w/c/91713d4de60fc694/IQB9fHnTLZR5TrPdt4OK5i5OAUrINzzsRC1jUGG4z5KdfW8?e=qpgij3I’m here for you & rooting for you always! EP 25: it's that damn phone
“Your greatest power in this life lies in what you choose to give your attention to” - meeAsking for a friend, but uhh you check your screen time lately? I think we all have lowkey gotten beyond the point of caring to a certain extent. Like yeahhh that’s scary, buuut I use my phone for everything, so it’s not like that’s just doom scrolling. For me, a flip phone is sounding more and more appealing each day. However, there is a cheat code… let’s just say, stop putting all your eggs in one basket. As someone who uses social media as an outlet for creativity and self-expression, I have found myself in a huge, all-consuming dilemma: how do I exist in the present moment while still creating and sharing my life online? How do I give less attention to my phone in a world where that is an expected behavior? Maybe this isn’t your specific struggle, and for that reason, we’re going through a huge pros n cons list. When provided the whole picture, my hope is for you to pinpoint your positive intentions as well as problem areas. Ultimate goal: get you to use that mf phone less and connect more!I’m here for you & rooting for you always! EP 24: outsmarting overconsumption
“Society conditions us to believe that happiness lies in having things, but in fact, true happiness lies in having awareness & building connections” - meeeeIn today’s episode, we are taking a deep dive into overconsumption. There are plenty of motivations for buying whether it’s for holidays, seasons, pleasure, status, influencing, improving confidence, making life easier, or most commonly, filling a void. Today, I’m offering a chance for you to shop smarter and stay strong when it comes to unnecessary purchases. We gettin to the ROOT. Why do you feel like you actually need something? How do brands convince you of this? It’s not just the trendy packaging and cute illustrations, it’s much deeper. On my trip to Japan, I gained insight as to the psychology behind marketing and how it's not just one of our senses at play, it's all 5 working simultaneously. In particular, we’ll get a closer look at how audio is one of the most powerful techniques for buyer manipulation. It is my goal that through listening to this episode, you will begin to practice awareness when shopping. You will question why more often. You will be more creative with the things you already own. You will value people and places more than bags and shoes. I’m here for you & rooting for you always! EP 23: How 2 boost your creativity
“What if creativity is about experimentation and play, and not about being good at something”In today’s episode, it’s my goal to convince each one of y’all that you ARE an artist. I think a lot of us rely on the left brain vs right brain argument to get out of creative tasks, but I’m not letting that fly here! You might also fall into one (or all) of these categories: you don’t have time for making art, you don’t see the point in it, or you fear trying because the result might “look bad.” The purpose of any creative pursuit is not to have a flawless masterpiece! The goal is, and should always be, joy and self expression. If feeling creative is something you struggle with, tap in. I’m literally giving you the cheat code. Ten original, show stopping, never-seen-before methods for boosting your creativity! Sometimes all we need is a little inspiration or a nudge in the right direction to get those ideas flowin. EP 21: Resisting temptations & upholding your boundaries
“Before you give into that temptation, remember where it took you last time!” AHHH we back baby! Today’s episode is inspired by a conversation I had on a plane with a stranger. It’s funny how easily we can connect with people over shared interests, or in this case, shared DISinterests lol. Whether it’s friends, lovers, jobs, or plans, life is constantly presenting us with options. It can be exhausting to decide on which ones to pick, especially when they feel comfortable. Just because the path feels familiar, doesn’t mean it's the one you should choose. You may just find yourself relearning a painful lesson (maybe for the 10th time). We’re also hitting the power of placing your attention and energy where it's reciprocated and appreciated. Remember, what you’re not changing, you’re choosing. Take accountability for your choices. Recognize the role you might be playing in your suffering. I’m here for you & rooting for you always! “You do the best you can with what you know at the time” - TRWe made it to EP 20 babyyyyy! In the spirit of the number 20, I thought it would be fitting to give y’all twenty things to help you get through your 20’s (or however old you may be lol). When life gives you challenges, know that it’s for a reason. There is always an important lesson hiding in the midst of the chaos, don’t miss out on it! Buuut in case you’re struggling to see the meaning behind a situation right now, maybe one of the things on my list is a lesson you’re meant to learn too.I hope this resonates with you and maybe even saves you from wasting (more of?) your time in a relationship, friendship, career, or environment that is not aligned with your highest self.I’m here for you & rooting for you always! EP 18: How to set yourself up for success
“Success starts when the excuses stop sounding reasonable” -Pinterest Constantly making excuses as to why you’re not in the gym? Why you’re not motivated? Why you’re not creating? Why you’re not taking care of your space? Why you’re not setting boundaries? I can keep going, orrrr you can just listen to the ep lol.In this week’s episode, you’re getting a list of the ways that you can elevate your life and be more successful. Success is merely a side effect of growth. Each time you set out to do something to improve yourself or your situation, it creates a ripple effect. Your habits and daily routines can be the reason you achieve your goals and feel at peace, OR they can be the reason you fail and feel unsatisfied. EP 17: I quit my “9-5” !!!
“I’m either aggressively passionate or completely detached. I have no notion of loving anything or anyone by halves. It’s just not in my nature” -Pinterest In this week’s episode, y’all are getting a lil life update! I quit my teaching job. Although I recorded this on May 30th…….. I FINALLY got around to editing and posting. Sorry 4 the wait Xx. Deciding to let go of a job, a person, a toxic relationship, a friend, a community, etc is not an easy task. Here I’m opening up about navigating the loss of connections, but also finding the beauty in creating new ones. Recording this the day after I quit, had me feeling sappy fs, but don’t trip we alwayssss end on a high note! EP 16: What judging others says about you...
“When you realize that people’s opinions are charged with their own personal history, you will start to understand that every judgement is a confession” -AnonymousIn this week’s episode, we’re talking about how judging others actually reflects more on your own character than the other persons. I’d even argue that these judgements can actually reveal your internal battles, insecurities, and self doubts. If you think negatively of yourself, why wouldn't you think negatively of others (flip that statement and it still works). Judging can also stem from the intense need to categorize people into boxes. Y’all know how i feel about that… gtgtgtgtg. Keep them labels away from me!We are all flawed human beings! We’re constantly f*cking up, but how else can we learn and grow?! Treat life more like an experiment. Instead of judging, let’s all work on having more fun and more empathy . Other people’s opinions are not your problem! That goes for parents, friends, partners, etc. If you’re feeling the weight of perception and judgement rn, listen up and maybe even send it to the person bringing you down … I’m here for you! “Unfortunately, I can't respond to your text because it stressed me out for no reason and now it's been too long so I’m just gonna ignore it” … How life has been lately lol.Ever feel like everything is just too much? There’s too much going on, too many options, too much to do, too many people around, too many noises, and just too much stimulation?!?! Sensory overloaaaaaaad is real. In this week’s episode, I'm opening up about my recent struggles. Specifically, my intense inability to make choices due to feeling overstimulated asfffff. Lately, the smallest tasks have been stressing me out to the point where I’m simply paralyzed from making any movement or progress. If you are finding yourself in a similar boat, this episode will give ya a few pointers, but above all the goal is just to make you feel comforted and validated. Social media is a highlight reel! I make my fair contributions to the game, but I’ll always keep things real with y’all to remind you I’m flawed and human just like you. EP 12: Is the American Dream dead?
Is the American Dream dead? Is hoping for things and building up our expectations doing us more harm than good? If you're ready to hop off, or at least to consider the possibility, you’re gonna want to give this one a listen!Specifically we’re hitting on the major milestones in life: getting a car, going to college, working a job, receiving benefits, getting married, having kids, owning a home, and the inevitable realization that you’re still unfulfilled. Why is that? Where does the magic come from? What makes a house a home? What do you do to avoid this? What is different about other countries? Is the American Dream simply just to leave America? EP 11: I took a solo trip!!! Lessons, thoughts, connections, etc (with video)
I took my first solo trip!!! This episode is entirely dedicated to all of the experiences, thoughts, connections, and growth that happened as a result. From literal snippets of conversations with my Ubers, to pieces of my inner monologue, you’re getting the whole picture! Or should I say video?? P.S. So happy to be showing my face again, it just feels so much more wholesome! In this episode, I’m covering what it means to experience life alone, how to work up the courage to talk to strangers, the magnitude of a compliment, the ripple effect, how to be more creative, the bliss of being present, the beauty of having to wait for things, and so much more! I argue that human connection and quality conversations are what allows us to not only be more empathetic, but also to understand the world through a new lens. Furthermore, we’re diving into the dangers of perfectionism and why you should rebel against the traditional pathways society has set out for us. There is so much beauty and power in knowing that YOU ARE THE WHOLE PIECE. Your mind is SO powerful. You are independent, capable, and confident. When you truly believe this, you will be UNSTOPPABLE. Anyone that comes along for the ride, is merely an enhancement, not a requirement :) Thank you soooooo much for listening! If you resonate with anything I mentioned, it's because we're interlinked.. BREAKING NEWS: Today marks episode one of a new series: Fly on the wall. Last week, I inserted a clip of my sister and I’s phone call and y’all ate it upppp! So it got me thinking… I have conversations on the phone alllll the time… juicy ones. I found myself wishing you could just be a fly on the wall and hear what we’re talking about. Well, now you can!!Fly on the wall episodes will be a very informal take on hosting guests. It also poses an open invite to YOU the audience to join me. If there’s a topic that you think aligns with the wave I’m on, HMU. I’d absolutely love to talk to you. We're interlinked so there's gotta be somethingggg you’re dying to share with me or my listeners. In this episode, I decided to bring back my sister Liz, as she and I have recently strengthened our relationship, so much so that phone calls are almost a daily thing. We stayyy yappin. Today we’re discussing what it means to show up — show up authentically as yourself, show up for friends and family, show up when you don't want to. Specifically, if you're struggling with your sexuality and how that informs your identity or outward presence, we spend a lot of time discussing how to navigate that — especially if you grew up in a society/community with a lack of representation! Further, we touch on how parents may struggle to show up, but they are flawed people too! We can’t expect them to want to know everything about us, or provide for us, or connect emotionally.. no matter how badly we’d hope for that to be the case. But things CAN change. Boundaries can be created. Speak your mind & stay true to you. We also hit on the importance of just starting; Whatever that thing is that you keep pushing off because you don't feel ready, don't feel equipped, don’t feel confident in, etc… You are enough!!!! Don't leave any words unsaid. Don’t leave any dreams unexplored. Don’t live in fear. Thank you soooooo much for listening! If you resonate with anything I mentioned, it's because we're interlinked.. EP 07: Fighting burnout with balance
“Life is a balance between what we can control and what we cannot. I am learning to live in between effort and surrender” — Danielle OrnerToday I’m letting y'all in on some of my current struggles because life is LIFE-ING. Existing in such an individualistic society where hustle culture is the norm, it can feel really overwhelming to simply exist. Trying to balance work, school, relationships, wellness, creativity, and whatever else is on your plate, is a struggggleee. I get it. So if you need some tips on how to manage all of these baskets or simply just someone who knows how you're feeling, this is a must listen for you. Do not neglect the aspects of your life that your mind and body need to thrive! In this episode, I also discuss the negative consequences of ignoring these baskets. To name a few: dissatisfaction, mood swings, fatigue, irritability, hopelessness, etc. The cure you might ask? Balance and gratitude for all the beautiful moments. EP 06: Masculine vs feminine energy
If I were to ask you to describe the difference between masculine and feminine energy, what would you say? Are these energies even real?If your mind instantly went to style or gender roles, you’re on the right track (well, according to society’s standards). In this episode, we’re exploring these binaries at both an individual level and a relationship level, with the understanding that society's expectations are constantly at play. Gender is so deeply ingrained into our environments from careers, to religion, to music, and much more. However, I believe it's much more fluid than we are set up to recognize. If you feel that society has put you in a box when it comes to your identity or sexuality or simply just your existence, this episode is for YOU. I hope to convince you that labels and abiding by rigid standards are detrimental to your self worth, self expression, and overall peace of mind. Stay true to yourself — whatever that looks like for you. Your authenticity is your superpower. Free your mind. Free your spirit. Let go. Find your flow. Thank you soooooo much for listening! EP 05: Letting go & embracing minimalism
Would you consider yourself a collector or someone that is very sentimental? You hold onto letters, scraps, stickers, or anything with a cute label/graphic? SAMEEEE. Here, I’m taking you on a journey from things I collected in my childhood to present day. From Polly pockets to an unhealthy thrifting addiction, I know what you’re going through. In this episode, we're diving deep into the art of letting go and embracing minimalism. We'll explore the emotional and psychological benefits of decluttering, along with step-by-step instructions to help you transform your living space. Understanding WHY we hold onto things can prevent this cycle from spiraling. This pertains to emotional baggage and grudges against people too!Tune in to learn how to create a more intentional, peaceful, and clutter-free environment. Ep 04: How to spend time wisely, be more decisive, and live in the moment
In this episode I’m giving you my two cents on time — calendars, seasons, day vs night, days of the week, autopilot, etc. All that to say… time is a construct! How you exist in your daily life should not be in coordination with the past or the future, rather it should be spent living in the NOW.Don’t let FOMO rule your world. Comparison is the thief of joy! Spend less time worrying about what others are doing with their time and lock in how you want your experiences to be.If you are struggling with perfectionism, indecisiveness, or need to make a big life decision, but are putting it off, it’s time to make a move! You can't learn or grow if you don’t allow yourself to fail first. Indecision can be toxic to the relationship you have with others, but most importantly your own intuition. There will never be a more perfect moment than right now. Free will is free!Lastly, give yourself grace! At the end of this episode, I’m giving you tips and practices you can implement if life is feeling overwhelming. Remember, you too are living life for the first time. The same compassion and kindness you give to others, should first be given to yourself :)Thank you soooooo much for listening! EP 03: Exist to please your inner child
Sooooo I think I have cracked the code to happiness… and turns out the key is within each one of you! We all know that our experiences as children shape us in profound ways and influence how we navigate life as adults. However, society is constantly pushing us to outgrow that version of ourselves.Childhood really only gets brought up when someone is in therapy — You can’t recover from a traumatic event? Must be your childhood. You keep finding yourself in toxic relationships? Definitely your childhood. You struggle with acceptance? Yup, let's go back to childhood. But what about when you wake up one day in your 20’s and realize all the things you thought would bring you joy just don’t? The job you busted your ass to get isn’t fulfilling your whole purpose. The days are blurring together. The hangouts that once lasted entire weekends, now take months to plan and only last a couple hours. You’re unmotivated. Overworked. Tired. Bored. Where’s the laughter? Where’s the sense of freedom we once had? Why is happiness so fleeting? If only we could just reach out and grab onto it and never let go.Well, here's what you can do: BE MORE CHILDISH! In this episode, I hope to convince you that there’s so much more value in who you were as a child, than simply understanding the problems of your current existence.Instead, you need to dig deep and figure out who you were — what did you like? What were you doing? Who were you with? How would others describe you? BE MORE LIKE THIS VERSION. Allow yourself to retain the childlike curiosity, ambition, and imagination that once ruled your existence.Enjoy the little moments. Surround yourself with people that allow you to shine. Live well.Thank you soooooo much for listening! If you resonate with anything I mentioned, it's because we're interlinked.. DUHHH. Follow to stay up to date on new episodes dropping every Thursday! EP 02: Navigating seasons of turbulence
OMGGGG you came back for more?? We loveee to see it. In today’s episode, we’re getting real. Life is lifingggg and maybe yours is too, but I’m here to prove to you how it's more about the reaction to the event, than the event itself. Specifically, you’ll hear about my car accident, losing loved ones, and more (watch with video for visuals). The turbulence in our environments and society as a whole can be very discouraging, but let’s work through it together! Sometimes, pushing through rough times requires you to call on others for help, or in my case, restoring faith in a higher power. I know that some of y'all may consider yourself religious, others may be spiritual, and some may be neither! I am not here to convince you of one “right” way, just felt called to share how I’m handling things and give you some insight/background on my why. Regardless, you have so much power within yourself! Never forget that. In this episode, I also shed light on the power of signs, showing some specific examples that I’ve seen recently and how they have helped me to feel like I am on the right path. We end off the episode with an “Interlinked Moment” as I hope to always do moving forward! Thank you soooooo much for listening!
