51: LIVE Website Audit with Tips to Improve Your Own Site [REPLAY]
Hi friends! Welcome back to Rebrand with RuthAnn. I’ll be honest—I planned to record a fresh episode about growth in my business this year, but life had other plans. My kids and I have been battling sickness for weeks now (mom life, right?), so today, I’m sharing one of our most-loved episodes from the archives instead! This episode is all about giving your website the ultimate glow-up with a live website assessment. The Site Success Audit (previously the Revive Brand + Website Assessment) is a service I started offering in early 2023 and it’s one of my favorite things where I walk through your website and give you practical copy and design tips so you can book more calls on your site and sign more clients. Today I’m taking you along with me as I comb through the website of a past client AND I get to share the improvements we made in her redesigned site. In this episode, I’m unpacking what red flags were on the old website, and how I addressed them by creating a new website that gives her clients a dramatically improved user experience. 28: Q&A with Barb and Debriefing the Branding Journey
Summary: Last week was our capstone episode where Barb and I wrapped up her branding project on the podcast. This week, which was two weeks after I gave her all the branding files, we had a chance to sit down and discuss how implementing the brand has been going, such as in her website and Canva. Barb shares openly with things that she found helpful and things that she had to work through. We discuss the feeling of credibility and authority that comes with a new brand. The episode concludes with answering 3 questions on the rebranding process, including duration of a rebrand, the nervousness in sharing the rebrand journey, and the decision to hire out for branding. And Barb shares her thoughts on when you should outsource this. Topics: Implementing branding into a website and Canva can be done in a few hours or a day, depending on the complexity of the project. Creating a checklist and prioritizing tasks can help streamline the implementation process. Using theme customization and CSS can make it easier to update colors, fonts, and navigation across a website. Templates in Canva can save time and provide a consistent look and feel for graphics. A new brand can give a business more credibility and authority. The duration of a rebranding process can vary depending on the scope of the project. Sharing the rebrand journey openly can provide valuable insights for others considering a rebrand and more! Visit this episode's blog post here. 27: Week 4: Barb's Branding Journey - How to Use Your Brand Files and Marketing Collateral
We are wrapping up Barb’s rebranding journey with our final official episode of this series where Barb and I revise her Marketing Collateral and I also present all her final brand files and share how best to use them. In the first part of the episode we review the Marketing Collateral I sent over which was Instagram graphics and Barb’s opt-in design. In the second part of the episode I walk Barb through all her brand files and how to use her Brand Style guide, files, etc. I really hope you’ve enjoyed this comprehensive, behind the scenes look at how I work with my clients in their visual brand design and stay tuned for next week’s episode where we do a debrief and candid Q&A. Let’s go to the show! Topics: In the first half of the episode, Barb and RuthAnn review the Marketing Collateral Presentation and Barb shares what feedback she wants to see. In the second part of the episode, Barb and RuthAnn have the final call where RuthAnn delivers all branding files. The branding process took 4 weeks, which is typical for RuthAnn's Artisan Branding service. The brand style guide provides a comprehensive overview of the brand's visual elements and guidelines for usage. The color palette should be used moderately, limiting the use of bright colors to two at a time so the brand can look elevated. Using brand photos can help showcase personality and differentiate the brand in (any industry but especially in) the SEO industry. Visit this episode's blog post here. 23: Brand Strategy Straight Talk with Asia Dore
In this episode, I interview my friend and fellow brand strategist Asia Dore about the importance of brand strategy and how to build an effective brand in a no-BS, easy-to-digest way. We go all over discussing the five steps to building a brand, including knowing what you do, how you do it differently, who you do it for, and why it matters. We also explore the mistake of copying corporate branding and the need to embrace your unique brand especially as a solopreneur. We talk about how to make changes and pivots in your brand without committing to a full rebrand and why it’s important to do that regularly. And we also talk about how Instagram is like an ex you can’t quit and how the social media landscape has changed. Including corporate changes to emulate other social media giants but also how it’s done a disservice to the people who helped grow the platform in the first place.
