This Is For Us
by Noel Roberts Coley
Welcome to "This is for Us," the podcast where we connect over life's defining and everyday moments. I'm Noël, your host, and from my own experiences and working closely with countless women and girls, I've come to a profound realization - we're all more alike than we may think. We share the same trials, the same joys, and the same emotions, and we're not meant to face them alone. Tune in as I talk about the experiences we share as we grow on our own separate journeys together.

105. What matters most is who YOU think you are
Hey y'all, welcome back to This Is For Us! Today's pep talk is a reminder that the story we tell ourselves shapes everything—from how we show up, to what we attract, to what we believe we deserve. We're not here to chase a dream version of ourselves. We're here to become her. In this episode, we'll talk about: ✔️ Why your self-image shapes your entire future ✔️ How to stop acting from fear and start showing up with purpose ✔️ Why "you attract who you are" changes the game ✔️ Tiny steps that align with the life you really want ✔️ How to shift your energy from stuck to unstoppable 💬 Quote to remember: "You don't attract what you want—you attract who you are." 104. Move Toward the Next Thing, Not Away From the Last Thing
Hey y'all, welcome back to This Is For Us! Today's episode is a pep talk from the heart—one that came straight out of a quote Noël wrote herself: "Move toward the next thing, not away from the last thing." It's a simple shift, but one that changes everything. Because sometimes, the way we frame a transition—whether it's a breakup, a job change, or just a new season—determines how we experience it. This episode is your reminder that the energy of forward momentum is far more powerful than the energy of escape.🎧 In this episode, we'll talk about: ✔️ The energetic difference between running away vs. stepping forward ✔️ How to reframe loss and change in a more empowering way ✔️ Why what we're moving toward is just as important as what we leave behind ✔️ How to shift your mindset from reaction to intention ✔️ The heart posture that makes space for miracles 💬 Quote to remember: "Don't just walk away from the past—step boldly toward your future." 103. You can't hate yourself into a version you will love
Hey y'all, and welcome back to another episode of This is for Us. As always, I am so freaking excited and thankful that you're here with me today. In this episode, we are diving deep into a topic that hit me hard recently—a quote that says, "You can't hate yourself into a version that you love." This quote stopped me in my tracks because it's a truth so many of us need to hear. Today, I'm talking all about self-love, the way we speak to ourselves, and why beating yourself up will never get you the life or the body you dream of. We all have those moments where we're standing in front of the mirror, tearing ourselves apart, but I'm here to remind you that negativity will never create beauty. Only love, gratitude, and light can do that. We're also celebrating the little things, like Halloween decorating and choosing gratitude for the small joys in life. So, grab your favorite fall drink and let's chat! 🎧 In this episode, we'll talk about: ✔️ Love, not hate, creates change. ✔️ Gratitude is a game-changer. ✔️ Romanticize your life. ✔️ We all have the power to choose light. 102. Remove the obstacles. Make it easy to do the things that light you up.
Hey y'all, welcome back to This Is For Us! Today's episode is a little different—more like girl talk from my heart to yours. I've been doing some small things lately that have lit me up in such a big way. They're not complicated, but they've made me feel lighter, happier, and more like myself. So I thought… if these little shifts are helping me, maybe sharing them will spark something for you too. 🎧 In this episode, we'll talk about: ✔️ Why it's worth doing things just for you (yes, light the expensive candle!) ✔️ Removing obstacles that make life feel harder than it has to be ✔️ How walking + a weighted vest has become a game-changer ✔️ A new way I've actually fallen back in love with reading ✔️ Why creating space for joy makes you show up better everywhere else 💬 Quote to remember: "Remove the obstacles between you and your joy—the smallest shift can change everything." 101. Guilt isn't your purse. You don't have to carry it.
Hey y'all, welcome back to This Is For Us! Today we're talking about something I know we all carry around: guilt. And honestly? Most of us are lugging it around like an overstuffed purse we refuse to put down. Mom guilt, friend guilt, work guilt, body guilt, daughter guilt—the list goes on. This week I found myself right in the middle of it as I cared for my mom after her surgery. Even while I was showing up fully, I felt guilty for needing a break, guilty for missing other responsibilities, guilty for just being human. And it hit me: guilt doesn't make us better women, moms, friends, or daughters. It just makes us tired, resentful, and less able to show up as our true selves. 🎧 In this episode, we'll talk about: ✔️ Why guilt is the heaviest "purse" we carry ✔️ How much of our guilt comes from made-up expectations ✔️ Why rest and breaks actually make us better for others ✔️ How to set the purse down and reclaim your peace ✔️ A reminder that you're already doing more than enough This is your permission slip to stop apologizing for being human, to breathe, and to remind yourself: you are incredible, and the people in your life are lucky to have you. 100. Life Lessons I Know 100% to Be True
Hey y'all, welcome to the 100th episode of This Is For Us! 🎉 One hundred episodes. One hundred conversations together. I honestly can't believe it! When I started this podcast, I wasn't sure I'd even make it to 10, but here we are—almost two years in and celebrating this incredible milestone together. Instead of a pep talk or a long story today, I'm sharing the truths I know 100% for sure. These are the lessons life keeps showing me again and again, the ones that have carried me through heartbreaks, messy seasons, big pivots, and everything in between. ✨ In this milestone episode, I share: ✔️ The truth about comparison and why it always steals your joy ✔️ Why time really does help heal heartbreak ✔️ The lessons hiding in every hard season ✔️ What I know about worthiness, confidence, and starting over ✔️ How the people you choose matter more than the size of your circle ✔️ Why consistency will always beat perfection ✔️ The beauty and magic that live in the in-between 💬 Quote to remember: "You will regret not trying far more than you will ever regret failing." 99. When your plate feels too full
Hey y'all, welcome back to This Is For Us! Do you ever feel like your plate is so full that one more text, one more email, or one more request will completely undo you? Same. This week, I'm being really honest about that breaking-point feeling we all carry, and what it means to step back, set boundaries, and give yourself permission to pause. ✨ In this episode, I share: ✔️ Why even "small" requests can feel overwhelming when your plate is already full ✔️ The myth that our worth is tied to doing more ✔️ How to let go of something without guilt ✔️ Why practicing the pause is an act of strength ✔️ A permission slip for you to breathe, say no, and rest If your plate feels too heavy, this episode is for you. 💬 Quote to remember: "We don't earn worthiness by doing more—we protect our peace by allowing ourselves to pause." 98. Stop Overcomplicating It
Hey y'all, and welcome back to This Is For Us! If you've been stuck in planning mode, waiting for the "perfect" time, outfit, plan, or set of matching hangers before you start… this episode is your sign to quit overcomplicating and just take a step. In this pep talk (for you and for me), I'm calling out the overwhelm we create when we try to control every detail before we begin. From closets to relationships to business dreams, waiting for perfection only keeps us stuck. Done is better than perfect—and imperfect action is the only thing that actually moves you forward. 🎧In this episode you'll hear: ✔️ How "getting ready" often turns into procrastination ✔️ Why too many choices can be just as paralyzing as none ✔️ How less can sometimes bring more joy and better results ✔️ The messy, imperfect first step that's waiting for you ✔️ A challenge we're taking on together this week 📌 Challenge: Choose ONE thing you've been overcomplicating, and do it this week—messy, imperfect, and without overthinking. DM me what you did so I can cheer you on (and you can motivate me, too). 💬 Quote of the week: "Imperfect action still counts, because it's the only thing that actually moves you forward." Hey y'all, welcome back to This Is For Us! This episode is late—and I'm just being honest about it. 68. Overstimulated, Anxious, and Annoyed. Nothing is ever perfect.
Hey y'all! Welcome back to another episode of This Is For Us. Today's episode is unscripted, unfiltered, and brought to you by an afternoon snow day, a cute champagne glass, and a hefty dose of real-life chaos. I'm diving into the realities of my day—a snowstorm in Knoxville, chili that didn't go as planned, dogs in snow boots, and the unexpected overstimulation that comes with trying to make "perfect" memories. If you've ever felt like your day is a comedy of errors, this one's for you. Let's talk about the beauty of imperfection, the lessons in letting go, and why it's okay to lose your cool sometimes. Spoiler alert: the chili turned out okay, the chandelier got installed (mostly), and we're all fine in the end. Grab your coffee, tea, or a glass of champagne, and join me as we navigate the chaos together. Highlights Snow Day in Knoxville: A rare snowy day turns into a comedy of errors, from missing gloves to dogs in snow boots. Chandelier Chronicles: After years of waiting, I finally got a chandelier installed in my closet—but not without its hiccups. Chili Fiasco: When the grocery store shelves are empty, you make do... even if the chili doesn't taste quite right. Overstimulation and Overreactions: The honest truth about how a perfect day in your mind can spiral into frustration—and why that's okay. Finding Gratitude in the Chaos: A gentle reminder that even on the wildest days, there's something to be grateful for. Quote from the Episode "Sometimes the perfect day in our minds doesn't turn out as planned, and that's okay—because life's beauty is in the messiness, not the perfection." I hope you had the happiest New Year and that your holidays were filled with peace, joy, and a little bit of rest. Today, I'm diving into the lessons I've learned from 2024, the goals I'm setting for 2025, and some new promises I'm making to myself. HIGHLIGHTS Taking Inventory: Reflecting on what went well in 2024, what didn't, and how to embrace growth as we move forward. Decluttering with Intention: Why clearing your physical space can lead to mental clarity and peace—and how I ended up with two completely empty shelves in my pantry! Creating a New Year Mantra: How choosing a word, quote, or mantra can help guide your energy, focus, and mindset in 2025. Stop Saving Things for "Someday": Use the fancy champagne flutes, wear the sequined dress, and create moments worth celebrating—because life is too short to wait for the "perfect" occasion. Building Deeper Connections: My plans for creating more in-person events, strengthening our community, and celebrating us together. 65. Keeping your intentions pure and saying yes to what matters (and no to the rest)
🎄In this heartfelt Christmas episode, I reflect on the chaos of the holiday season and offer a much-needed pep talk for navigating this busy, emotional time. The importance of keeping your intentions pure in all you do 🌟 Why saying no can open doors for meaningful yeses 💕 How to prioritize your joy, traditions, and presence over perfection 🎁 If you're feeling overwhelmed, guilty, or just plain exhausted, this episode is your reminder to honor your heart, simplify where you can, and create a holiday season filled with love—for yourself and others. 💖 💬 Talking Points Your Intentions Matter Nobody truly knows your heart or your reasoning like you do. As long as your intentions are pure, they are enough. Stop Saying Yes Out of Guilt Every yes to someone else is a no to something that could bring you joy. Reevaluate your obligations—say yes only when it lights you up. Traditions and Self-Care Protect the things that make your heart happy, even if they seem small or silly. Let go of guilt and create space for moments that matter most to you. Reframe the Overwhelm Flip "I have to" into "I get to" to reclaim the joy of the season. Remember: This time is fleeting. Make it meaningful for YOU. 🎙️ Quotes from the Episode "You cannot give someone else permission to make you feel inferior. Trust your heart and stand by yourself." 💪✨ "Every 'yes' you say is a 'no' to something else. Choose your yeses wisely—they should bring you joy, not resentment." 🌟 "Your Christmas magic doesn't come from slaving away. It comes from the love and presence you bring to the moments that matter." 🎄💖 "The holidays are fleeting. Let's make time for what lights up our hearts and creates the memories we'll cherish." ✨ "Even when life gets overwhelming, remember: You're incredible, you're doing your best, and that is enough." 🌟💕 🎄 Resources & Links Follow me on Instagram for more holiday pep talks and inspiration! Today's episode is a quick pep talk—a reminder to stop letting our blessings feel like burdens. We're diving into: The overwhelm of the holiday season How to reframe our mindset when the joy feels like too much Remembering the magic of this fleeting season and the life we once prayed for HIGHLIGHTS Blessings vs. Burdens Life can feel overwhelming when everything piles up, but today's problems might just be yesterday's prayers. Reframe Your Perspective: Flip your mindset from "I have to do this" to "I GET to do this." Time Is Fleeting: The moments we're living in are finite—appreciate them before they're gone. Find Joy in the Mess: Even in the chaos, there are countless reasons to be grateful. Celebrate the Smallest Wins: Recognize the smallest joys to shift your focus from stress to gratitude. 63. Can you rebrand yourself? Changing your mind and changing your life.
Welcome Back! Hey y'all! Welcome back to This Is For Us. Can you believe how fast December is flying by? It feels like the holidays are speeding past, and the overwhelm of the season is real. But amid the chaos, we're diving into something big: rebranding yourself. Today's episode stems from a listener's heartfelt question: Can you rebrand yourself? Along with that came a deeper query—how do you navigate the journey of change when people close to you don't understand or even criticize your growth? If you've ever felt stuck, stagnant, or judged for wanting more out of life, this episode is for you. Let's break down why it's not only okay to evolve but essential for your happiness, peace, and growth. HIGHLIGHTS Who Are You Today? Reflect on the version of yourself you are now vs. the version you dream of becoming. Permission to Change: Rebranding isn't about becoming someone else—it's about leaning into your growth and finding peace in who you're becoming. Overcoming Resistance: What to do when loved ones don't support your evolution and how to stay rooted in your truth. The Fruit You Grow Isn't for You: A powerful metaphor: Just like a tree doesn't grow fruit for itself, your gifts are meant to be shared with the world. The Choice is Yours: We either evolve or remain the same. Growth starts with the decision to move forward. QUOTE FROM THE EPISODE "We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are." I'm grateful to have created a space that brings people together to laugh, share, and celebrate life's wins. 2. We're All in This Together As women, we all share that feeling of self-doubt, insecurity, or worry about not fitting in. Watching everyone enjoy themselves made me realize how similar we are and reminded me that we're never alone in how we feel. 3. Showing Up Alone Is a Bold Move I was in awe of those who walked in alone. It takes so much courage to step into a room where you don't know anyone. This night was all about feeling welcomed, loved, and truly celebrated, no matter how we arrived. 4. Celebrating All Ages, Stages, and Styles From sequins to jeans, I was thrilled to see everyone embracing their unique style and rocking what made them feel amazing. This party was a celebration of authenticity and showing up exactly as you are. 5. Small Choices, Big Impact For those who took a little extra step—putting on a pair of lashes or going bold with an outfit choice—you could see the confidence glow! Sometimes, it's the little things that help us step into our power. 6. Breaking the Age Barrier Women of all ages gathered, and it made me realize age is just a number. Let's keep lifting each other up, regardless of where we are in life, and see each other as allies and inspirations. 7. There's Always a Way When there's a vision and a dream, there's always a way to make it happen—even if it means pivoting, finding new solutions, or leaning on others. 58. Behind the Scenes: What Really Happened Before the This is for Us Birthday Party
In today's episode, I'm giving you all the behind-the-scenes details from our This Is For Us birthday celebration! Although the party looked beautiful and went off as a dream, there was a whole journey (with a few tears, laughs, and last-minute saves!) to make it all happen. From my mom's unexpected health scare to the near-catastrophes with decorations and a missing cake, it's a reminder that the most beautiful things often have chaotic beginnings. So, whether you were able to attend or are just joining me today, I wanted to let you in on what really went down and why it was all worth it. Thank you all for being part of this journey—you mean the world to me! HIGHLIGHTS: The Venue Hunt Planning the party didn't come without obstacles, and finding the right venue was one of the first challenges. Just when it felt impossible, we found Lindsay at Sharp Social, who went above and beyond to make it perfect. Sometimes, rejection really is just a redirection! Unexpected Challenges & Emotional Moments The week of the party was an emotional rollercoaster. My mom, who I always rely on for her incredible support, became very sick. Balancing her needs and party prep was difficult and grounding, but it reminded me of the power of showing up for the ones we love. A Last-Minute Dress Dilemma What's a party without an outfit crisis? My original dress didn't work, so the night before, I found myself frantically cutting and sewing with the help of my amazing friends. Sometimes, the imperfect solutions make for the best memories! The Sweatshirts & Knowing Your Worth I poured my heart into designing the This Is For Us sweatshirts, wanting them to be meaningful and high-quality. It was a leap of faith, but you all showed up and proved that we're worth investing in ourselves and each other. Thank you! The Party Team A big thank you to my friends, family, and everyone who showed up early to help me make the party a reality. From DIY decorations to solving last-minute issues, I couldn't have done it without you! 57. The best of "This is for Us:" One year, my 20 favorite lessons that every woman needs to hear. PART 4
Welcome to the grand finale of The Best of This Is For Us series! In this final episode of our anniversary celebration, I reflect on the most powerful topics that shaped this podcast over the past year. It's been a transformative journey, and I'm wrapping up with lessons on trusting yourself, embracing rejection as protection, romanticizing life, and stepping into your bad bitch energy (BBE). If you've missed parts one, two, or three, be sure to check them out. And as always, thank you for spending your time with me—your support means the world. Let's dive in! HIGHLIGHTS: Trust Yourself: If you have a dream, you have the ability to see it through. Don't let self-doubt or outside opinions hold you back. Your intuition knows the way—lean into it and trust yourself fully. Rejection Equals Protection: Every closed door leads to something better. Shift your mindset: rejection is not a setback but a redirection toward the things meant for you. Romanticize Your Life: Embrace the "I get to" mindset. Find the magic in everyday moments and cherish even the small, mundane tasks—they won't always be there. Life is more beautiful when we see it as a gift. You Can't Hate Yourself into a Version You Love: Self-criticism won't bring happiness or change. Learn to love yourself at every stage—growth comes from kindness, not self-punishment. BBE (Bad Bitch Energy): No one else can be you. Step into your power, own your uniqueness, and live with main character energy every day. You are the only one who can live your life the way you do—embrace it unapologetically. RESOURCES: Need advice or have a topic you want me to cover? DM me!
