The Leadership We Really Need
In this final episode of Season 2, I’m reflecting on everything this season has taught me about leadership, resilience and identity.I talk honestly about recording this season during one of the hardest periods of my life after losing my mum in January, and why I believe the leadership we need in 2026 is no longer about performance, polish or pretending to have it all together. This episode ties together the themes explored throughout the season with guests and sets the scene for Season 3, where we’ll be diving deeper into leadership identity, pressure, fear and self-trust.

Who Are You if You're Not Struggling with Guests Nat & Cat
We talk a lot about working harder, pushing more, doing better. But what if the real question is… why are you making it so hard in the first place? In this episode, I’m joined by Natalie Guyan and Catherine Lynch from Hustle ‘n’ Health, and this conversation goes everywhere in the best way. We dive into self-trust, identity, hormones, burnout, high performance, and the uncomfortable truth that a lot of us don’t actually know who we are without the struggle. We talk about: Why self-trust isn’t just mindset, it’s physiological The difference between hard work and high performance How women have been conditioned to distrust their own bodies Why “failure” is often just feedback (if you let it be) The identity crisis that comes when things actually start working And the question that might change everything: who are you if you’re not struggling? This isn’t a neat, polished, step-by-step episode. It’s a real conversation about what’s actually going on underneath the surface, and what it takes to build a life that feels as good as it looks.Connect with Nat & Cat:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hustle_n_health/ https://www.instagram.com/the_elite_performance_coach/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NatalieGuyanhttps://www.facebook.com/catherinelynch17Watch Natalie's TEDx Talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8cdQlMkVUIWant to be inside the conversation rather than just observing it?The Actual Results Club and one-to-one coaching are linked below.Book a callThe Actual Results Club1-1 Coaching Options

Hiding in Plain Sight
This one is personal. Really personal. It's the end of Q1. In 29 days I'm moving 270 miles from Scotland to Yorkshire. And in just a few days we hit 100 days without mum.I've been taking stock. And what I found when I looked honestly wasn't entirely comfortable.Because on the surface? I've kept going. I relaunched this podcast on video. I've released every episode on schedule. I spoke on stage six weeks after losing mum. The numbers are building. The momentum is real. I'm genuinely proud of what the last three months have looked like from the outside. But I've also been hiding in plain sight.I've been showing up as a thought leader, an educator, an influencer — and quietly not showing up as a business owner. I haven't been selling. I haven't been telling anyone why they should pay to work with me. I've been incredibly productive while avoiding the hardest questions. In this episode I talk about why that happens — and why it makes complete sense that it has. I talk about the idea that sanctuary can be found in structure, how that has genuinely held me together through the worst three months of my life, and how I've also managed to misappropriate it. To use the thing that saves my clients as a very sophisticated hiding place.Because not a single person would blame me for stepping back on sales while carrying this grief. But they're not the ones who suffer the consequences. I am.This episode is a public act of accountability. A moment of honest reflection at the end of a quarter that looked productive on the outside and had a quiet gap running through the middle of it.If you've ever kept going in a way that felt like forward motion but was actually a well-disguised shelter — this one is for you.---In this episode:— Taking stock at the end of Q1 and what honest reflection actually looks like— The difference between genuine momentum and hiding in plain sight— Why sanctuary can be found in structure — and how structure can become the place you hide— The specific way grief depletes the resource that selling runs on— What keeping going really means when life is still very much life-ing— The question I'm asking myself going into Q2 — and the one I'm asking you---Want to be inside the conversation rather than just observing it?The Actual Results Club and one-to-one coaching are linked below.Book a callThe Actual Results Club1-1 Coaching Options#WhatIfIFail #BusinessPodcast #Entrepreneurship #Grief #Resilience #Accountability #PersonalBrand #BusinessOwner #Leadership

Lip Service
After six years of working with business owners and senior leaders, I’ve developed a sixth sense.I can tell who’s going to grow… and who’s going to stall. And it’s not about strategy, intelligence, or experience. It comes down to one thing:Can you keep going when it stops being exciting? In this episode, I break down what “lip service” really looks like in business and leadership, and why so many capable, hard-working people stay stuck without realising it.We’re not talking about laziness. We’re talking about distraction disguised as progress. If you’ve ever found yourself: Jumping between strategies Second-guessing your next move Doing a lot… but not seeing results This episode will show you why. This podcast is a window into the conversations I have every week with the leaders I work with.If you want to be inside those conversations, not just observing them, why not book a call with me to discuss The Actual Results Club or my 1-1 work.Book a callThe Actual Results Club1-1 Coaching Options

Collecting Perspectives with my guest, Washington Ali
What if confidence isn’t about becoming someone new… but about evolving into more of yourself? In this episode, I sit down with transformational confidence coach Washington Ali to talk about identity, reinvention, and the unexpected ways our past shapes who we become.Washington shares the powerful story of running away from home as a teenager, the moment his mother challenged him to choose a different future, and how that decision changed the course of his life.Together we explore:• The difference between a pivot and an evolution • Why so many successful people secretly struggle with confidence • The responsibility of showing up in rooms where you’re different • Why “collecting perspectives” might be one of the most powerful things you can doThis is a conversation about growth, identity, and the courage it takes to keep evolving.Connect with Washington: https://www.instagram.com/becomealive.washington/Check out his Masterclass on 22nd March here: https://pensight.com/x/becomealive/hesitation-to-confidenceThis podcast is a window into the conversations I have every week with the leaders I work with.If you want to be inside those conversations, not just observing them, why not book a call with me to discuss The Actual Results Club or my 1-1 work.Book a callThe Actual Results Club1-1 Coaching Options

Before You Burn It All Down
At some point in business, almost everyone hits the moment where they want to burn it all down and start again.Usually it happens when things feel heavy. Sales feel harder. Small mistakes start piling up. And suddenly it feels like the whole thing is broken. In this episode, Alex talks about the difference between a pivot and an evolution, why the urge to start over is often a reaction to overwhelm, and how to pause, reset, and diagnose what’s really going on before making big decisions.Because most of the time, your business doesn’t need burning down.It needs evolving. This podcast is a window into the conversations I have every week with the leaders I work with.If you want to be inside those conversations, not just observing them, why not book a call with me to discuss The Actual Results Club or my 1-1 work.Book a callThe Actual Results Club1-1 Coaching Options

When Life is Lifing
Season 2 opens with something I hadn’t planned to talk about. At the start of this year, I lost my mum.I debated whether to record this episode at all. I didn’t want to commoditise grief. I didn’t want to perform resilience. But I also didn’t want to pretend everything was fine. This episode isn’t about hustle. It isn’t about turning pain into a lesson. And it isn’t therapy. It’s about what happens when life collides with momentum. What do you do when your business is building, opportunities are growing, and your personal world shifts overnight? How do you keep showing up without abandoning yourself? How do you honour your grief without shutting down your ambition? What does integrity actually look like when it’s tested? This season is about humanity in business.About success without self-abandonment.About thresholds, trust, resilience, and the hidden costs of growth. When life is life-ing, we don’t get to pause being human. And we don’t always get to pause the business either.Let’s talk about it.This podcast is a window into the conversations I have every week with the leaders I work with.If you want to be inside those conversations, not just observing them, why not book a call with me to discuss The Actual Results Club or my 1-1 work.Book a callThe Actual Results Club1-1 Coaching Options
