Light exposes and expels darkness. The king tested Daniel by giving his people the best meals, while Daniel ate only vegetables. According to worldly expectations, Daniel should have appeared weak, deteriorated, and downcast, but instead, he was found ten times better. Incapacitating these animals is seen as the most effective way to eliminate potential noise or resistance. One of the more common strategies is to lace the dog’s food with poison. The bait looks harmless, but it’s deadly. The enemy uses the same strategy.When the devil seeks entry into your life, he targets your vulnerable areas and entices compromise through things that look appetising but are laced with poisonous repercussions. As a child of God, no weapon formed against you can prosper, but you must fortify every area of your life through the Word. The devil is fighting a losing battle, don’t give him an entry point.PRAYER FOR TODAYFather, help me to recognise and reject every subtle trap of compromise. They were known as the most wanted! Today’s passage shows the sons of Sceva attempting to cast out an evil spirit without possessing spiritual stature. The spirit replied, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?”The Lord Jesus and Paul carried such authority in the Kingdom that they were known even in the enemy’s camp on the devil’s most wanted list. Such spiritual stature is born from deep intimacy with God, consistent fellowship, and devotion to the things of the Spirit. Once the child is born, that cord is no longer needed because the baby’s systems begin functioning independently.Likewise, before salvation, you were sustained by sin’s umbilical cord, completely dependent on a life separated from God. But when you were born again, that cord was cut. Now it’s your duty to put away every resemblance to your former life of sin. You are now sustained by the life of Christ in you, a life that offers divine protection, nourishment, and eternal supply separate from the world. However, many Christians only share the Gospel when it feels convenient, rather than when the Holy Spirit prompts them to do so. Today's verse reminds us it's our duty to be ready to share our faith, in and out of season. God doesn’t operate according to our preferred schedule. When the Holy Spirit prompts you to speak, don’t wait until the time feels right, act! Jesus, our perfect example, boldly spoke the Word, regardless of those who wished Him harm. Refuse to compromise what Scripture makes clear. Don’t ignore the Spirit’s prompting to reach someone with the gospel. If one fails, the safety and stability of the hive are at risk. Likewise, as children of God, we often underestimate the consequences of surrounding ourselves with the wrong people.Imagine your walk with Christ as a spiritual hive made up of individuals positioned to move you toward your calling. Mark 1:13 (NIV)And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.Separation precedes revelation! From Genesis to Revelation, separation is essential for removing every possible distraction, distraction or diversion. Almost every major biblical figure spent time in solitude receiving divine instruction before stepping into the full expression of their calling. Paul spent three years in Arabia, Moses forty years in the desert, and Jesus forty days in the wilderness. This was not a coincidence; it was a necessary tool to attune their ears to God’s Word. To be separated means to silence the noise, even when it’s all around you, and fix your focus on what God wants to deposit in your spirit. During His time of seclusion, Jesus faced distractions, from demonic attacks to wild beasts, yet stayed focused. It was there, in the intensity of both spiritual and physical opposition, that angels ministered to Him. This fuels violent winds, torrential rain, and chaotic pressure systems. Yet at the centre of it all lies the eye of the storm, a deceptive calm surrounded by devastation. Likewise, being hot and cold concerning the things of God creates spiritual chaos and instability. A half-in, half-out lifestyle may seem harmless at the centre, but it brings destruction to your peace, purpose, and relationship with God. This new year of strange oil, set your focus entirely on Him. One of its most remarkable features is its ability to reroute you. No matter how many wrong turns you take, it always sets you back on course toward your final destination. For a Christian, God functions the same way. Regardless of the mistakes or wrong turns you've made, He continually works to bring you back on track toward what Christ has called you to be. Don’t define yourself by your past. God is not focused on your mistakes; He’s committed to restoring and guiding you back to the right path every step of the way. PROPHETIC DECLARATION Success is guaranteed when I follow the path Christ has placed for me. God has given you authority over every ailment. Nahum 1:3 (NIV)The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm,  and clouds are the dust of his feet.The nature of a true Christian is to be quick to forgive, loving even the most undeserving people because of the love that was first expressed to us through Jesus Christ on the cross. While this is the reality for every Christian, many people take this godly conduct and equate it to being passive and defenceless in the face of the enemy’s attacks. But this couldn’t be further from the truth!Today’s verse tells us that God will never let those who fight against you go unpunished. When you place your burdens on the Judge of the universe, trust He'll deliver a verdict befitting the crimes the enemy committed against you. You serve a God who’s great in power. Don’t worry about what man may do to you, He’ll repay every wrongdoing done against you!PROPHETIC DECLARATION Every enemy working against me is guilty as charged!
