The demotivation of shame
Deejay: Fuck shame. Shame keeps you from moving. I think it comes from “polite society” and low key people not wanting to see you doing better than them so you get that embedded in your subconscious. Gotta “shrink” yourself to not buck the trend. Fuck that, you’re worth taking up space. Protein was the friends we made along the way
WHY IS EVERYTHING FULL OF PROTEIN??!! Deejay: WHY IS THERE SO LITTLE PROTEIN IN EVERYTHING! Having to find ways to make sure I’m eating enough meats & protein is odd. Need to buy protein powder & start adding it to my oatmeal. I need to invest in Fairlife milk so I can start eating homemade healthy ice cream while paying myself in the process lol. Cypher: This labeling everything with PROTEIN! is getting out of hand though. Calling things high protein or claiming they are x% of your daily protein feels like a marketing ploy versus actual useful amounts of protein you need Protein Pop Tarts, discuss. Accepting that you're now a gym baddie
Gettin back to the gym. Let’s talk about how we’ve dealt with setting foot back in the iron temple after years away. Deejay: Texted to Cypher: “You miss the gym. Noting the Differences: Once you put in the work and see it for yourself. It gets fuckin weird, let’s talk about it.Deejay: The wardrobe change is real. Been popping tags in thrift shops & Ross/TJ Maxx for REAL.Small body changes I keep finding.Seeing what “feel” like sunken cheeks is really just my face without the extra weight.The ‘V’ has returned to my waistline, making me feel like a superhero, but also low key telling me how much I’d forgotten myself & let myself go.Cypher:Also the wardrobe change here.
