    05.01.26 - Morning Meditation - Begin (Again)

Hello and good morning, friends. First, let me recognize my absence. There has been a lot of upheaval in my life. I appreciate the daily meditation subscribers for their patience as I’ve wandered away and back. 💗As we arrive to this meditation today, I am thinking of the full moon in Scorpio today. I’m thinking about all the things in my own life that I would like to begin again. I am thinking of this brand new month and day that’s full of possibility. If you’ve wandered from meditation, I invite you to return. If you’ve wandered from other things that have felt important to you, maybe it’s time to begin again. You can always begin again. 04.17.26 - Meditation - Connection with the Heart

Hello and good morning, friends. We’ve come to perhaps one of the tenderest points in revisiting this series on connection: the heart. The ways we relate to our hearts are really going to inform the next couple of meditations also, so I encourage you to be gentle and take some time.I’d like to share a little from the original post:We’ve explored the breath and body as well as the mind. How do we feel the connection of these two and now to also feel their connection with the heart? In this trio, I think the heart can often feel the most guarded, even from its closest allies. It can also be the most tender, especially in times such as these where every news story is a different heartbreak. Even when something is anger-inducing, sometimes what lives beneath the anger is our tender little hearts, maybe wishing for something to be other than it is or recognizing the suffering of a situation.Today is an invitation to be the with the heart and its many connections, to feel into the tenderness that lives in us always.I would like to leave you with one of my very favorite quotes from my late teacher:“It’s so important that we’re paying attention to the condition of our heart... It’s the beginning of your life in every single moment.”— Michael StoneThank you for being here today, friends, and for exploring these connections. 💗 Take care.✨ Times are available this weekend and beyond to explore more connection in just the way you need. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 04.03.26 - Friday Meditation - Being Still

Hello, friends. How are you? We’ve been talking a lot about quiet in the daily meditations, so tonight I thought we could spend a little time with stillness. Here’s a little something from the original sharing of this meditation:Sometimes when things are shifting either in small or big ways, getting still is the last thing that I want to do. Maybe you too? But when I don’t want to find that stillness is when I know that I need it.That’s not to say we shouldn’t move things through our bodies with actual movement, but that there is a balance we can find between stillness and wanting to run from things.Stillness can help us see what’s truly going on, to act from a place of choice instead of reactivity. It can be informative. It can soothe some frayed edge feelings.Of course, if none of this feels like it resonates, today’s meditation is still a lovely exercise in just being right here.Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 05.30.25.)✨ I love to be with you in these meditations. If you’re looking for other ways we can be together and perhaps find some stillness as well, I invite you to find a session that calls to you, either online or in person. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 03.30.36 - Monday Breath Break

Hello friends. Welcome back to Monday. As we’re kind of hitting sort of midday here, I am thinking about something we touched on in the daily meditations yesterday, which is this idea of pausing. These five minutes of breath can be a great pause in your day. Perhaps it can help you find the pause you need in whatever has had your attention, whatever the feelings might be in this moment. Just breathing and being with today and the moment is what we’re doing together.Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 04.28.25)✨ I’m happy to offer some new availability for online only reiki, mindfulness, and support sessions. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 03.27.26 - Friday Exhale

Hello and good morning, friends. I am thinking today about the breath, the exhale, how it feels to hold our breath in times that feel difficult or in anticipation. In what ways can we be with the breath, to lean into the exhale today to make a little space for letting things flow instead of that sense of holding, if you do feel that.Thank you for being her today. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. 03.23.26 - Monday Morning Check In

Hello and good morning. As we’re starting out the week, I thought we could take some time to check in. Before your day gets too wild, before whatever the week brings, what’s here in this moment? I often find myself full steam ahead, regardless of what day it is or what’s going on. Maybe this sounds familiar? For me, taking even a few minutes to pause and check in makes a huge difference in the day. Maybe you’ll find this too? Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archives. It was originally shared on 11.18.24.) This is a public episode. 03.09.26 - Meditation Foundations - Consistency

Hi friends. How are you?Something that I hear often from folks is that consistency with meditation is hard. I hear about things that I really relate to like perfectionism or day to day things that can make it difficult. It’s hard to schedule. It’s hard to get back to. Sometimes the things that are most beneficial to us are the hardest to keep up with. I know. I’ve been facing a lot of migraines with the seasons changing, so my own consistency here and with my practice has been spotty this week. But the remedy is simple: just keep coming back. It’s what we practice when we do sit. We inevitably get distracted, but we return. So I hope you’ll return to meditation today if you find yourself somewhere else.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.✨ Don’t forget to schedule a session this week if you need a little care. 03.06.26 - Friday Exhale

Hello and good morning, friends. We’re taking a little Friday break from the foundations we’ve been exploring to be with the exhale today. We often do this on a Friday, finding the breath and practicing letting go. Maybe today there’s something else you need and I encourage you to bring whatever intention that’s alive for you into practice today. It’s a wild time to be alive, friends. I’m glad you’re here. I think being in practice is so important for ourselves and the world. Thank you for being here.💗 Take care.✨ Reiki, support, and mindfulness sessions are available this weekend. 03.01.26 - Meditation Foundations - Being with the Breath

Hello hello. Good morning, friends. We’re starting a new month together and, as promised, we’re turning our attention back to the foundations of our meditation practice. This is a great time to begin a regular practice or get back to one. If you have an established practice, I think returning to these foundations can help us let go of what we think our practice should look like. I love to go back to meditation instruction. It allows me to drop the ideas that I know anything and have that beginner’s mind once again. It’s a sweet experience.Today, we have a short and simple practice to just be with the breath. We spend so much of our time not thinking about it, what’s it like to really sit and be with the flow of the inhale and exhale? There’s no judgment here for distractions. The only thing to do is to be with the breath and return to it as you need.Thank you for spending time today, friends. 💗 Take care.P.S. If you want to be with us for the entirety of these foundation practices, I hope you’ll consider becoming a daily subscriber if you aren’t one already.✨ For further support in meditation (or perhaps another type of care is calling to you), I hope you’ll consider scheduling some time. https://makespacemeditation.substack.com/subscribe This is a public episode. 02.27.26 - Morning Meditation - Sitting in the Fire

Hello, friends and good morning.Today, I’m thinking a lot about all the things that life holds: the good, the bad, the fires, the droughts, the calm and quiet places. In my own life, there have been a lot of fires lately. Sometimes when this happens, meditation is hard. I admit that my mind is quite full and rarely quiet in my practice. But there is something about sitting that has felt like a respite. Even when the mind is busy, there’s something to sitting in the middle of it and breathing.Maybe your life doesn’t feel like this today. Maybe you’re feeling pretty chill. However you are arriving today, I hope you find something in the meditation that makes your day a bit better.A reminder for you that in March (just two days away!) we’re focusing on going back to the meditation foundations and later lovingkindness. New classes will be up soon too.Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.✨ Sessions are available this weekend to start the new month off maybe more calm, more relaxed, more centered, more [fill in the blank]. I hope you’ll find a time. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 02.23.26 - Monday Morning Quiet

Hello and good morning. How are you? We’re starting this week off with a bit of quiet, an invitation to be present. In the rush of a Monday, I hope this meditation offers you some space to settle. As for some news… I mentioned yesterday to the daily subscribers, we’re going to make some shifts for March. We’ll be starting out the month really returning to the basics of meditation. This is an invitation for you to come back to the practice, begin meditation, or to really dig in to the practice you already have. I love going back to meditation instruction and settling into the foundations. I hope you will too. After spending time there, we’ll move into lovingkindness practice. If you haven’t done this practice before or you have only done it a couple of times, I hope that you’ll really take the time to be with it this coming month. Of course, if you aren’t already a daily subscriber, I hope you’ll consider becoming one. I’m really looking forward to finding some steadiness with you in March. It’s only a few days away now. Can you believe it?Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care.✨ Interested in personal meditation instructions? Want to explore healing and relaxation? Maybe life needs a little support? I hope you’ll consider finding a session this week. This is a public episode. 02.16.26 - Monday Morning Meditation - Ease

Hello and good morning, friends. Welcome back to Monday.Whether your day has started out just as you expected or things have already gone off the rails, we’re sitting with ease today.I often think about how our expectations really influence both our experiences and the outcomes. If I’m expecting a Monday to be a real “case of the Mondays,” that’s probably what I’m going to find. But if I find myself already in this day that feels wild, what difference can it make to sit quietly and find some ease in it all? Let’s see. Thanks for being here. 💗 Take care. This meditation is from the archive. It was first offered on 03.17.25.✨ Of course, times are available this week to help you find a little more ease or perhaps there’s something else that you’re seeking like support. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 02.09.26 - Monday Morning Meditation

Hello and good morning! As I write to you this morning, it is still dark outside, but have you noticed that the light is returning? I looked outside last night at 6:16pm and the sun was still in the process of setting. I think it’s the first time that I really felt the shift in daylight this season. To start the day and the week, we have a quiet little breath meditation this morning. We’re finding some flow, keeping things simple. We’re also keeping this sense of invitation: inviting the mind to settle, not forcing anything to happen.I hope it’s a good start to the week, friends.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.✨ If you’d like to find a little more flow to your week, perhaps a little more connection to the breath, there are reiki and mindfulness sessions available. There are also spiritual care/support sessions if you’re in need. 💗 I hope to see you online or in person. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 02.06.26 - Friday Morning Meditation - Letting Go

Hello, hello, friends. How are you? How’s your week been?We often spend time with the exhale on Fridays and sometimes we talk about letting go. I wonder if there’s something that’s come up over the week that you’d like to shift, something that could better serve you in the letting go than the holding on. Or maybe there’s some built up tension in your body from all that life is in this moment and the exhale can be that pressure release. However you are today, whatever you may be carrying or holding onto, I hope that this practice with the exhale and invitation to let go helps you feel a little lighter.Thank you for being here today, friends. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 09.26.25.)✨ There are a limited number of times available this weekend for reiki, mindfulness, and support sessions. 02.02.26 - Invitation to Begin Again

Hello and good morning, friends. How are you?To settle into this new month, we’re talking about something that I think is a really special feature of meditation practice: beginning again. We do it every time we wander away from the breath and come back. We do it every time we even sit down to meditate.I hear often about people being “bad” at meditation and something happens where trying again feels impossible. I know I’ve said it so many times here, but just showing up is what matters: showing up to meditate, showing back up when you wander off in distractions. There is no good or bad. There’s no need for judgment. You can rest in knowing that beginning again is possible any time.So if you’ve been away from meditation or maybe there’s something else in your life that you’d like to begin again, I hope our time together today inspires you to be open to what it can feel like to start and restart however many times you need.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 05.02.25.)✨ Classes and sessions are actually resuming a little later this week. I hope to see you! https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 01.26.26 - Monday Morning Check In

Hello and good morning, friends.Perhaps you (like me) are in a place that has closed the roads due to just having had a major snow storm and you’re like “What else is this week going to bring?” Or maybe you’re free to roam as you choose and there’s a little feeling of “Ugh. What is this week going to bring?” Or even still, maybe “What is this week going to bring?” has a curious or excited vibe to it.However this week’s arrival has found you, we are checking in on it today. What’s here? What’s present? How can we practice returning to ourselves and the moment throughout the day and week ahead? It seems like a lot of questions today. I wonder what answers you might find. Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Stay warm.❄️ Classes and in person appointments are still on hold for a few days. 01.24.26 - Sitting with Difficult Things

Hi, friends. As so much of the United States is dealing with a monstrous storm at their doorstep, as the news breaks of another death in Minneapolis, as we hold any number of other personal or collective heartbreak, I thought of this meditation. I’ve been a bit quiet over the last couple of days. I think sometimes I need an extra minute to sort ourselves out when the world and life is as it is. Maybe you too? But today, I am here to offer you a space to help hold that which is hard. This meditation was first shared on the day of two memorials for two different people in my life who had passed, but I remember thinking about other heart breaks that day too. There’s a way that grief compounds, one on top of another, some seemingly unrelated. Bearing witness to the grief, the heartache, the anger, the loss, the disbelief… whatever it might be is a powerful practice. It can be transformative to sit in the middle of what is painful and what we’d prefer to run from. I am in way telling you just to sit (though meditation is its own act), but I am offering this practice as something to help build the ground from which you can act with wisdom.I hope it’s helpful in whatever way you may need today.Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 I’m with you.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 11.11.23.)❄️ Classes and in person appointments are on hold until we see what the coming storm brings. 01.19.26 - Monday Morning Meditation - Checking In

Good morning, friends. How are you?The daily meditation subscribers might be sensing a theme forming, which is the question of “what’s here?” Because what is here? What is going on? Sometimes it takes being still for a minute and looking deeply to find the answer. So today, we sit with the breath, ourselves, all that’s here.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 06.23.25.)--✨ A small reminder that reiki, mindfulness, and support sessions are here for you this week. 01.16.26 - Meditation to Relax

Hello and good evening, friends.I’ve had a hard time finding words today. There’s so much going on in the world, in our collective and separate lives. It’s hard to know where to begin.I know there’s a lot to do in our day to day lives and also with the wider issues at hand. It can be exhausting to simply keep up with the news. So what do we do when that’s the case? I think we have to find ourselves where we are and find ways to resource ourselves.I had someone ask me recently if the people I’m seeing in sessions and classes are talking about [insert thing here] and what I have found is that mostly people want to recognize the horrors and move into what will help face them. So finding rest, finding healing, finding the breath. Taking action without caring for ourselves can leave us drained. So tonight’s meditation is for you to find the rest you need. You don’t need permission to rest, but maybe you need some encouragement. It’s okay to take these moments for yourself, to relax, to breathe. It means that in the very next moment, you can be more present.Thank you for being here today, friends. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 02.02.25.)--✨ Sessions for reiki, mindfulness, and support are open this weekend. Our Sunday classes (Sunday Sit and Lovingkindness) are also ready for you. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/🐕 If you haven’t already heard about The Pet Loss Support Text Line, I hope you’ll take a peek, share with those who might need support, and donate to keep it growing. https://www.petlosstextline.org This is a public episode. 01.12.26 - Monday Morning Possibility

Hello and good morning. How are you?We are spending time this morning with possibility. In the rush of Monday (or any day), sometimes it feels hard to not just be with what we expect.Maybe we’re expecting it to be a Monday sort of day. Maybe we’re expecting work to be this or an appointment to be like that. What if we let go of the expectation and let what’s possible unfold? To me, that feels more spacious than the “knowing” of expectation. It feels more open and a place to breathe. How does it feel to you?Thank you for being here today, friends. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 9.22.25).✨As always, sessions are available this week to help support whatever possibilities might be happening in your life. Hi, friends. To say it’s been a week is perhaps the understatement of the year thus far. If you’re feeling the stress of the news, work, life, whatever it might be, I hope this meditation helps you to find a way to breathe a little freer. There’s no way to attend to any of the things that are going on in this world if we can’t find ourselves where we are.So let’s take some breaths, find our exhale, and give ourselves a few moments just to be.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 06.20.25.)✨ To further explore that exhale or to find other support you may need, I hope you’ll consider a session this weekend. 01.01.26 - New Year's Intentions

Hello friends. We’ve made it. 2026. How wild. I never would have expected this year. I have a hard time imagining what the future holds, so it never fails to amaze me where I land. How about you? How do you feel today, at this start of something new?Our meditation to start the year is one from the archive, as my voice is not yet ready to create. While I’m not grateful to have been sick this past week, I am grateful for the chance to slow down and be still and think about what it is I’d like to bring into this new year.I’m not saying anything about resolutions today, but intentions. Just as we start many of our months together: what do we want to bring into this moment? Any moment is a chance to shift and begin again, but there’s an energy to a collective moment like this one.In light of that energy and also in respect to my own abilities, we won’t be taking on The 30 Day Sit this month. Instead, I’d like to offer you something that’s not a resolution or a program or another thing to check off your to do list.Maybe it’s a shift, an intentional move toward something that you might want: calm, quiet, mindfulness, clarity, focus… insert your word here. So over this next month, maybe we will be quiet and slow, honoring the winter, honoring ourselves without adding one more thing, but inviting it.If you aren’t already part of the daily meditations subscription, I hope you’ll join me.May this little meditation be a good start to the year. 💗Thank you for being here.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 01.01.23.)✨ I’ll begin to have sessions again in the next few days. I hope you’ll find some time for what you need: reiki, support, or more mindfulness. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. Hello and good morning, friends. We are in that liminal space at the end of the year where I feel as if no one quite knows what day it is and if it is the day you think it is, it’s still not your usual day. Perhaps this is not your usual Monday.I have found myself in both that weird end of year feeling and also the time dictated by an end of the year cold. I don’t know what time it is. I’m waking up at odd hours. It’s a weird time. But I think that these times, the ones where we find ourselves sort of floating above what the “norm” is for us, are a great reminder that we can come back to something. We can bring ourselves back to center, back to a foundation. We can explore what all of this oddity feels like and yet still return to the breath and the moment. What a gift to be able to do it.Today, we’re finding some focus. We’re remembering it’s Monday perhaps.Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 09.15.25.)✨ Spots in the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day classes are still available. If you’d like to join online instead of in person, just let me know and we can arrange it. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/meditation🥳 We’re about to start The 30 Day Sit on January 2nd. 12.22.25 - Morning Meditation - Turning to the Light

Hello and good morning, friends. We’ve made it. Today starts the return of the sun, each day a little brighter. I’m thinking today about what we’re bringing with us into the light, what we’re planting. How can we hold those things gently and with the space they need to grow? We’re practicing a little bit of that with the breath today, not getting too caught up in our distractions, but letting them go with ease, staying open and gentle as the breath itself can be.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.✨ If you haven’t taken a peek at the latest news about offerings, you can find it here.✨ On Wednesday, daily meditation subscribers will have the opportunity for a live meditation at 7am ET.✨ Availability has expanded over the next couple of weeks to support you through the end of the year and the beginning of the new. 12.08.25 - Morning Meditation - Quiet + Calm

Hello hello. Good morning!Today, we find ourselves together on a most auspicious day. In the Zen tradition, this is Bodhi Day, or the day we recognize as when the Buddha became enlightened.Meditation existed before the Buddha, but his enlightenment was something new. It is said that he sat all through the night, as many practitioners do on this day and then… “At dawn, looking at the morning star, he exclaimed: ‘How wonderful! I and all beings have simultaneously realized the Way.’”There is, of course, much that came before this day in Buddha’s journey to enlightenment and much came after, but what I hope for you to take away from this (whatever your faith tradition may be or may not be) is that a simple human found a simple practice that helped him and others in a deep way.So today, in honor of all of this, we sit in the same quiet that the Buddha did, under the same stars.Thank you for being here today, friends. 💗 Take care.✨ In honor of Bodhi Day, perhaps it’s a good time to sign up for a mindfulness session or a meditation class? Other sessions are available, of course, for whatever care you might need. https://makespacemeditation.as.me/ This is a public episode. 12.05.25 - Meditation - Quiet + Stillness

Hello and good morning, friends. As I was trying to record for you today, I realized something that was happening: the sitting was getting to me. 😜 I’ve been talking a bit this week about Rohatsu, the time leading up to the Buddha’s enlightenment in the Zen tradition. Normally, I would be on retreat, but this year finds me at home and sitting with community online. It’s been quite a bit more meditation each day than is my usual and I fear that this morning I am struck by so many things at once: the vastness of practice, the way that it ripples out from us through so many parts of our lives, the way it can become a full body practice as opposed to just up in our minds. So today, I put aside trying to say all of that to you in a meditation and opted to find the one I’m sharing today. It offers us quiet and a practice of stillness to help ease the mind. I wonder what you’ll find in it. Maybe it will inspire you to sit a little more too? (If so, we’re sitting on Sunday.)Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.(This meditation is from the archive. It was originally shared on 08.07.25.)✨ Maybe taking a little more time to be quiet and still sounds like just the thing. If so, I hope you’ll consider a reiki session this weekend. Maybe there’s some other care that is calling to you. Times are available for what you need. This is a public episode. 12.01.25 - Morning Meditation - Quiet + Intention

Hello and good morning! How are you, friends? It is hard to believe that we are here at the beginning of December. What a wild year it’s been. I have been thinking a lot obver the last day or so about what I’d like the end of the year to hold, in feeling, in activity, etc.I started to put together the class schedule for this month and just really thought about what my heart wanted to do. I tried to listen. In the next couple of days, you’ll receive a more proper update on December offerings, but until then, you can find all the classes up for scheduling here.I hope some of your intention this month and beyond is to find connection. I hope maybe it’s a little bit of spending more time in meditation. I hope that this month is full of heart for you.Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 I hope to see more of you. Take care.✨ Some hours for individual meditation, reiki, and support sessions are expanded for the end of the year. 11.28.25 - Morning Meditation - Steady Center

Hello and good morning, friends. How have you been? For many of us, yesterday may have held what felt like a lot. Even if we didn’t take part in the holiday or if it wasn’t hectic, there can be a lot of lead up. The collective energy has a way of impacting us whether we’re engaging in certain activities or not.Whatever your day might have held yesterday or what today might hold as well, we’re here together for a little breath and to find some sense of centeredness. We’re connecting into the deep part of ourselves that can hold us steady even in the wildest of times. Maybe there’s some calm here, some quiet too.Thank you for being here and exploring together today. 💗 Take care.--✨ Times are available this weekend and beyond for sessions that can help you find a little more center and connection in that end of the year push. 11.24.25 - Quiet Morning Meditation

Hello and good morning, friends. How are you?I thought that it might be nice to start this holiday week off with a little time to just find some quiet. Even if it feels like your mind is going going going, maybe there’s a little space there between the breaths or the thoughts. There’s no judgment here for how busy (or not) your mind or body might feel. I hope you’ll allow these moments together to be easy and gentle, a flow that you can take with you into the day and rest of the week.As I know holiday times can really start to ramp up around now (if not before), I hope you’ll return to your breath when you need. Maybe take a moment to stop outside and get some quiet if you’re able. Quiet will indeed be a big focus for us this week, so I hope you’ll join me.Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.✨ As the holiday season begins, I hope you’ll take some time for care. 11.22.25 - Morning Meditation

Hello and good morning to you. How are you? We’re starting our day and our meditation off a little differently this morning. The invitation today is to find a little happiness before we settle in and to let that feeling be with us in this meditation. It’s easy to get sort of sucked up into the things that bring us down, especially in the world today.I know that my struggles with chronic migraine lately have brought a lot of unhappy times. Maybe you’ve got something in your life that has left you feeling similarly. And that’s okay. I remind myself that this is a season and that someday things will shift for me as they will for you too. This morning is a rare breath of being pain free and feeling light. So I hope a little of that comes through this meditation for you too, whatever you might need.Thank you for being here, friends. 💗 Take care.----Today is the last day to take advantage of some birthday week offers. 11.17.25 - Monday Morning + a Quiet Lake

Hello and good morning, friends. When I received jukai in March of 2022 from Roshi Joan Halifax, she gave me the dharma name Joko. So much was happening in that moment that things feel fuzzy, but I remember so clearly the mental image as she described its meaning as a quiet lake. This morning, that image of the quiet lake is here with me. The calm waters, barely believable in their stillness. We’re not so different from that lake, which inevitably will start to have waves and unexpected visitors. Meditation can help us return to the calm waters if and when they get too choppy. That’s our invitation today: finding the stillness, returning to it, and being with whatever the waters might be otherwise.Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care.🎉 It’s my birthday week this week. My birthday wish this week is to see you! Really and truly. So whatever type of session might feel most supportive to you, you can use the code BDAY25 on anything with fixed pricing. 11.10.25 - Monday Meditation - Quiet + Ease

Hello and good morning!I’m thinking this morning about what it is to find this idea of quiet or ease in our wild world. To me right now, it feels like letting my shoulders relax, taking a few minutes to breath. It’s breathing deeply and being with the breath. It’s taking a moment to notice the sky. Maybe these sound right to you too or maybe there’s something else that comes to mind that might help your Monday be a little more calm and easy. Whatever you might need this Monday or this week, I hope our few minutes together can help you find it.Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care. This meditation is from the archive. 11.08.25 - Morning Meditation - Moments

Hello hello. How are you, friends? In thinking about what to share with you this morning, I was reminded of this moment that I had while making coffee earlier. The little moments are always the one that get me the most, the ordinary and every day things. It’s the care with the water, the coffee, the filter. I felt like I was noticing the texture of the mug differently today. There was a bit of slowing down to notice. It wasn’t about my actions slowing, but my mind. This seems to me what we practice in meditation. We catch the quiet moments with the breath. Maybe we find a quality to the breath we didn’t notice before. Maybe we are able to find a little space in our minds between the thoughts. All kinds of experiences are possible, even in these ten minutes. As we spend more time in this space, there’s a little more that comes out of our practice and into other areas of life too. Maybe it’s the coffee or maybe it’s a conversation with a friend where you feel more present. A gift, either way.Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care.✨ Last call for the fall survey. I’d so appreciate hearing from you on how to improve these meditations to better support you. https://makespacemeditation.substack.com/survey/4897242✨ There are still some times available this weekend (and beyond, of course) for care. 11.01.25 - Morning Meditation - Beginning Again

Hello and good morning, friends. How are you? Here we are at the start of November. It’s so hard to believe how the year has gone by.As we often do at the start of a new month, we’re talking about beginning again. Whether you’ve been away from meditation or you’re brand new, what a time to start fresh!Maybe you’ve felt too distracted or there’s something else that keeps you from sitting down to practice. Each time you find yourself here is a chance to begin again. No reason to feel any negative way about inconsistencies or wanderings off. The fact that you’re here, the act of returning to meditation and to the breath… That’s the magic.Thank you for being here today. 💗 Take care.P.S. I hope you’ll take a moment to fill out this little survey. I’d love to find ways to make these meditations the most beneficial.✨ New month, new opportunities for care. 10.27.25 - Monday Morning Meditation - Checking In

Hello and good morning, friends.Whenever I pull something from the archive for you, I like to write something new, bringing the meditation forward into what’s happening now. Today, as I was deciding what to share with you, I thought that what was already here feels applicable and worth sharing again.I hope you find what you need for your Monday…I know that to say it has been an eventful year so far would be an understatement. Maybe even just for the last few days alone. To start off this week, we’re spending time checking in with ourselves. We’re with the breath and also all the rest of what’s here in this moment.Bearing witness (as we do in checking in) is a profound and important act. The Zen Peacemakers know this. It’s the second of their three tenets. The first is Not Knowing. So as we enter into these check-ins, I invite you to be curious. What’s really here? See it as it is, no additions. The third of the tenets is Taking Action. Sometimes we say Compassionate Action. While it can often feel like a right action is hard to identify, being with what is is already something. Quantum physics teaches us that the observed is changed by the observer without any “action.” What shifts happen simply by being present?Thank you for being here. 💗 Take care.(This meditation was originally shared on 06.23.25.)✨ Availability this week is a bit limited, so don’t forget to schedule your session ahead of time. 10.20.25 - Monday Morning Meditation - Tension + Letting Go

Hello and good morning, friends. Ah, Monday. Here we are again. Last night, this morning, and other times recently, I’ve been thinking about the feeling of tension and how we can find a space to let some of that go. I even recognized that I was tensing my shoulders while laying in bed last night, asking myself what is that even about? I have my suspicions. Maybe you feel something similar. Maybe just Mondays bring out a sense of something like getting tense. Maybe your week is holding a lot. Even when we’re looking forward to things, there can be an anticipation there that feels a bit tense. I think a good question to ask is, “do we need to be holding this?” Today, we’re sensing the tension, finding the way it can flow into something else, something more calm and clear. 10.10.25 - Morning Meditation - Friday Exhale

Hello and good morning, friends. Welcome to Friday. As we often do on Fridays, we’re spending a little time with the exhale. I know that I often find myself holding my breath or maybe not breathing fully. Whatever it is, there’s some sort of feedback happening with the breath. Maybe you have found this happens to you too? Today, we’re just allowing ourselves to spend some time with the exhale, sensing in to how it feels to let things go, to reset. Or maybe there’s something else here for you in the quiet today.Whatever you might find in today’s meditation, I hope it’s just what you need.Thank you for being here. ✨ Take care.--🍃 For folks local to Columbus, don’t forget to sign up for walking meditation at Highbanks on Sunday.💫 As always, appointments are available this weekend and beyond to support you in whatever way you might need. 10.06.25 - Monday Morning Meditation - Quiet + Still

Hello and good morning, friends. We’ve arrived back together on this Monday. I thought it might be nice to take a little time before the week gets going to find a little quiet, maybe a feeling of stillness.Perhaps you’re wondering why we talk about quiet so much or practice being in it. There are a lot of reasons for this, but the one I’m thinking about today is that the world and our days can be so, so busy. To be able to sit in the quiet, collect ourselves, find a little space, etc can really make a difference in how your day feels. I think it also makes an impact on how we are with others. If we don’t have a little space, how can we make room to genuinely interact with the people around us?I could go on, but there are other days for that. For now, I hope you can find that little bit of (or a lot of!) quiet today and that it helps set your day off on the right footing.Thank you so much for being here. 💗 Take care.--✨This week! On 10/12, if you’re local to Columbus, I hope you’ll join me for walking meditation at Highbanks.✨Coming up! If you’re looking for a little more meditation guidance, there’s an in person introduction to meditation workshop on 10/19. An online version will be on 10/26.✨ Of course, as always, there is time on my calendar just for you if you need it.
