In this powerful and tender episode, we explore the sobriety journey through the lens of being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I’m joined by Kristy Sarausky, who shares her personal experience with quitting alcohol and how sensitivity shaped — and ultimately supported — her path toward healing, self-compassion, and empowerment. We talk about the emotional roots of drinking for HSPs, especially when there's a lack of connection to self, community, and deeper meaning. 32 - On Self-Love as an Empath, Sensitive and Creative Soul

Switching from Inner Critic to Inner Loving as a default mode changed my life. It is like the roots of a tree, healthily planted into the ground, and nourished by a fertile soil. From this self-love, everything else will grow and flow through you. I know it sounds cliché, but love is truly the biggest creative force in the world. Yes, love has this magical power, and as I write this, I can't help but smile at the irony of me preaching this concept. I used to be a cynical and sarcastic teenager who didn't believe in love. It took me many, many years and a lot of heartache to realize that this cynicism was in fact a way to keep myself small. To build walls around my heart. Also, trying something new with this episode: I thought I'd share a painting + drawing process as backdrop to the recoding! 31 - What’s Wrong With Manifestation Culture

MANIFESTATION! It seems impossible to escape this topic these days. We’re bombarded by “if you want to manifest this, do this, do that…” In this episode, I talk about what I think about putting such a strong emphasis on manifestation, and how it can be damaging to our mental health as Highly Sensitive and Creative souls. 30 - A Full Circle Story and Divine Timing

We all have events from our younger years that deeply marked us - something that sparked joy in us but somehow got marked by sorrow, so we “decided” that it was only linked to childhood and that we’d need to drop it once adult. But what is truly for you will never pass you by: you never know when a full circle moment will come.  You just have to surrender to divine timing (and that doesn’t mean being passive!) If you’ve been feeling caught in a personal time wrap, stuck on your personal version of Groundhog Day, while it looks like everyone else is getting on with their life, light and unencumbered by such heaviness, please know that you’re not alone.  Things can change, you can dream it up all over again.  Ways to work with me this year: The Regenerative retreat in Provence for Empowered and Sensitive Souls Have questions about the retreat? 29 - 15 Questions To Ask Yourself To End The Year With Serenity

The end of year can be quite stressful for creative HSPs, who tend to overthink, suffer from self-doubt and feel overwhelmed, with all the related expectations creeping on us - consciously or subconsciously. Because when you’re in a deep state of confusion, it’s really hard to see how you can change. It kind of feels impossible, too much, even more overwhelming. Maybe you want to work on so many things at once, or maybe you feel like where you wanna go is way too far from where you are now. Perhaps you’re just seeing all the reasons why it can’t happen. So boldly jumping into the New Year resolutions bandwagon is not helpful for Sensitive and Creative souls. Because it’s like trying to plant a garden without learning anything about the soil, the climate, the current season - all important factors you’ve got to work with.  I believe that’s why these resolutions never last. We don’t really know why we’re doing them in the first place. Sure, getting healthy is a great intention; doing something creative too, but what does it really mean, specifically for you? Why do you wanna get healthy in the first place? And do something creative? What will this bring to your life? To your being? Where does it come from? Your mind? What society says you should do? What your friends say you should do?  Or is it coming from your heart, your gut? Because if you really want to grow a garden, it’s going to require work, knowledge, patience, time, energy… otherwise, you’ll be bound to quit as soon as something else comes up - an obstacle, challenge, another diversion, something cooler to do, etc… And that can be so overwhelming for those of us creative HSPs who naturally tend to overthink,  So instead, what would you do if you were to start growing a garden?  What would you focus on to begin with? I believe our quality of life depends on the quality of the questions we ask ourselves, so in this episode, I take you through 15 questions to reflect on, that will help you to tend to your metaphorical garden with serenity.  Join me on The Empowered Sensitive and Creative Retreat in Provence: Regenerative retreat in Provence 6th-11th June 2024 Book your free retreat exploration and get all your questions answered Connect on instagram: @empowered.sensitive.creative and @rim.creativenergy

28- Balancing Feminine And Masculine Energy As An HSP for more Harmony at work and in life - In Conversation With Geoff Hinsley

Today is a special episode for me!  My guest, Geoff Hinsley, was my mentor and first coach ever. He helped me through a very difficult time, navigating a toxic work environment, and general overwhelm and feeling stuck. Thanks to our sessions, I became more self-confident and realised that there was much more to my purpose than working in fashion.  It’s actually because of our sessions that I began nurturing the idea to become a coach too! If Geoff Hinsley had a life-theme, he would say it would be about wonder.  Both in the sense of being in awe of life and surroundings, (the good stuff ,anyway) , and as in the question, ‘I wonder how that works?’  Of course, leading from that, ‘How can I make it work better?’, or  ‘Can I invent something that works well?’  All this involves asking a lot of questions, being open with curiosity and if possible, minimal judgement.   As a leader in his engineering company, Geoff approached that in the same way.  Not autocratic, more ‘Let’s find a way’. Again this involved asking questions, in an empowering way.  He found himself being upset with direct and aggressive challenges or environments,  sometimes that made him feel sick! He prefers a more harmonised way, but still achieving well, perhaps better. (Certainly more healthy). Geoff found out this is a key to creating a good coaching environment! All this lead him to his great preference - working collaboratively - which he found works really well for Highly Sensitive People and others around them.  In this episode, we talk about: HSPs general working style and how it differs from others The power of sensitivity in the workplace Challenges HSPs face in the workplace and how to deal with them Creating harmony at work Discipline, structure and creativity What happens when feminine and masculine energies are atrophied Balancing the feminine and masculine energy for more creativity and harmony Supportive structure in business The challenge of staying in balance The energy of money How to deal with our internal turmoil when feeling triggered ℹ️ Resources: Find out more about Geoff here: IDKN.org www.GeoffHinsley.com His email: [email protected] ▶️ Watch the video version here 🩵🤗 And if you enjoyed this episode, please share it with your community 🌻 Make sure to tag me @empowered.sensitive.creative and/or @rim.creativenergy on instagram, so that I can see it and cheer you too ☀️ Every little bit helps 🌻 ➡️ Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to recover from burnout, and harnessing my creative energy and taking it to new heights. ➡️ Have questions about the retreat? 26- Turning Your Weaknesses Into Strengths

So often our biggest gifts lie into what we think is our biggest curse. When we’re young, we are criticized and shamed for things that come naturally to us but are deemed unreasonable or unimportant by society, our caregivers, our peers. And we begin to push away this aspect of us, until we’ve grown as adults with fully repressed sides of ourselves. But deep down, we know there’s something within us that is longing to be expressed. What if these perceived weaknesses were actually our biggest strengths? *Resources mentioned in this episode: Guided meditations for the empowered sensitive and creative soul Regenerative retreat in Provence 6th-11th June 2024 As a special thank you, I'm offering you a special Black Friday sales on your next order between 24th and 27th November, with a big 70% off on these particular audios. 25 - How To Find Your Purpose

Our purpose is right here, before our eyes, all the time, but often, we only know it subconsciously. I believe that what you do in the first part of your adult life serves a purpose - you have to go through that in order to be the person you are now, in order to move to the next part of your life. Who knows, you might be transitioning again later in life! But being clear on your unique gifts, skills and values and distilling all that into your very own essence will guide you along the way, and help you stay in truth with yourself. In this episode, I share the exact process I took myself through when it was time for me to embark on a new path. You’re welcome to reach me by email at [email protected], and share with me what your purpose is. Born and raised in South Africa, now living in Australia, on the Gold Coast - just south of Brisbane, and have done so for 18 years.  Lauren is a graphic designer and an HSP, with a passion for guiding and supporting entrepreneurs on their journey to branding success, in the most creative way possible. Lauren believes there’s no such thing as a non-creative person, we just need to be more in tune with the creative impulses that present themselves to us every single day.  And for this to happen we need to create space in our day, a time just for us, where we can relax and surrender to the present moment. Where we can listen out for those creative opportunities as they present themselves.  In Part 2 of our conversation, we talk about: Lauren’s daily habit for getting into creative flow Quieting the mind Developing self-trust and intuition Making courageous choices Our connection to nature and how it can support us How creative energy saved her time and time again And much more… To find out more about Lauren: Website: https://greenhousebylauren.com.au IG:https://www.instagram.com/greenhouse_bylauren/ And if you enjoyed this episode, screenshot it and share it on social media 🌻 Make sure to tag me @empowered.sensitive.creative and/or @rim.creativenergy on instagram, as well as @greenhouse_bylauren, so that we can see it and cheer you too ☀️ Every little bit helps 🌻 Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to find joy and faith in life again, and harnessing my creative energy and taking it to new heights: rimcreativenergy.com/retreats Have questions about the retreat? 22 - High Sensitivity And Self-Abandonment

You know these times when your little voice within tells you that something doesn’t add up, somebody’s having a weird vibe, or a situation isn’t right for you, but you still go ahead with it because “now you’re herem you might as well…”? These times when you’re negotiating with yourself and choose to postpone something that’s dear to your heart, because “you don’t have time”, “it’s not reasonable”, “what’s the point anyway?” These times when you wish you had spoken up but remained silent because “who cares anyway?”... We’ve all been there at some point.  Especially as Highly Sensitive People, Empath, and Creatives - so much of society tells us feeling so much isn’t right, putting yourself forward isn’t right, there’s a right way of doing things and a wrong way, logic and rationality before intuition, daydreaming, gut feelings… There are so many ways we learn to give our power away. No wonder we learn to make ourselves small, ignore our needs, and bypass our emotions.  No wonder we cut ourselves from our creative energy. In this episode, I talk about what is self-abandonment more precisely, why we do it, how it looks, and what are the signs we are getting away from ourselves. I also share some of my experience with that and the tools I found that actually work to help us buidling self-trust and stop self-abandonment so that you no longer give your power away, dear Sensitive and Creative soul! 21 - How Silence And Aloneness Helped Me To Find My Voice

“I’m so lonesome I could cry. The silence of a fallen star lights up a purple sky.” Elvis Presley’s song could be about the life of an HSP. Right? I used to look for guidance, for answers everywhere but within. Same for my emotional needs. Going on solo trips or eating out on my own at restaurants would freak me out. You know what I mean? Now I revel in my solo time - it’s so precious! Because the best cure to loneliness as an HSP is time in silence and solitude. Let’s listen to its wisdom and shine! ✨ 🌻 Get my new meditations - Audio recordings to guide you through deep relaxation so that you can gently reconnect to yourself. 20 - Gaining Self-Trust As An HSP - In Conversation With Parul Prashar

Today, I’m joined by Parul Prashar, a technologist with a creative spirit, a coach with a compassionate touch, a writer who is ready to dive into choosing the right words to inspire, and an explorer of both the tangible and intangible. While her professional foundation is rooted in computer science engineering, she has seamlessly woven together a multifaceted identity that transcends the boundaries of her technical origins. Beyond her engineering expertise, she is also a writer and author of '10 days to the ultimate you' workbook and a mindset shift coach. She likes to channel her abilities to inspire and empower others on their personal journeys using inner child healing, self-love and other coaching techniques. Parul always had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and boundless curiosity about being a highly sensitive individual. 15 - How To Stay Regulated When Life’s A Hot Mess

Life is not a long flowy river! It’s messy, it gets topsy turvy, it goes up and down, just like the intense emotions we tend to feel as a Highly Sensitive Person. It’s messy, it’s painful, it’s beautiful, it’s full of surprises ✨ And when it feels like a HOT mess, overwhelm shows up big time for us, HSPs. Remaining regulated so that our nervous system can work its wonders doesn’t have to be as complicated as some influencers lead us to know on social media. When surfing the ebbs and flows of a hot mess, less is more 😉 In this episode, I talk about: How reality doesn’t always align in time with our wishes and fantasies What we cannot control When things get messy, it’s easy to get carried away Filtering and capacity to contain Perfectionism and Struggling with overwhelm Following routines and letting go + releasing control Obstacles and Embracing the mess The energy of allowing Why we need to regulate our nervous system Simple and quick ways to regulate the nervous system Navigating challenges with grace and openness Building self trust Nourishing your creative energy + life force --> Essential Oil helping with stress mentioned in this episode: Palmarosa And if you enjoyed this episode, screenshot it and share it on social media 🌻 Make sure to tag me @rim.creativenergy so that I can see it and cheer you too ☀️ Every little bit helps 🌻 Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to find joy and faith in life again, and harnessing my creative energy and taking it to new heights: rimcreativenergy.com/retreats Have questions about the retreat? 14 - IF YOU’RE BEATING YOURSELF UP FOR FALLING BEHIND YOUR GOALS, LISTEN TO THIS

Irony of things - right after publishing my last podcast episode about stopping to try to appear professional, I was presented with a “test” : got a health emergency + a computer glitch that made me lose my following recording! In the past, I would have beaten myself up for falling behind my goals, but this time I chose to follow my body's energy, and decided to approach my work differently. A break was needed, and a break I took.  As the saying goes, sometimes you really gotta take a few steps backwards in order to move forward! In this episode, I talk about: How stuffed emotions can lead to energetic glitches + health issues What to do do when feeling stuck in repetitive cycles What is creative energy Importance of clearing out Making a clean slate Letting go of the need to control outcomes & time Managing having big goals and tending to our needs Showing compassion and kindness to ourselves - including our shortcomings An example of how I work with my South Node and North Node to guide me in choosing differently How important it is for HSPs to honour our need for retreats  and regenerative practices Tending to our Inner Child The role of play and innocence in our growth & our work Energy & Law Of Attraction How to attract more of what we want in our lives Being present Reconnecting to our senses as High Sensitive People And if you enjoyed this episode, screenshot it and share it on social media 🌻 Make sure to tag me @rim.creativenergy so that I can see it and cheer you too ☀️ Every little bit helps 🌻 - Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to find joy and faith in life again, and harnessing my creative energy and taking it to new heights: rimcreativenergy.com/retreats - Have questions about the retreat? 13 - Why There’s No Point Trying To Be “Professional” When You’re An HSP

“Be professional” is something I heard a lot in my career and is something I see many many Highly Sensitive People are striving for. I, myself did try very hard for years and years to “be professional” until I realised it was utterly counter-productive and in fact, a big hindrance in my development as a human being. In this episode you will learn about: BEING professional means different things to different people How using empty words is a way to put people into boxes and try to fit people into a rigid mould  Change from tribe-centric culture to an age of individualistic realisation “Being professional” is often a statement used to hide dysfunctional and toxic work dynamics Wearing masks and hiding our truth Placing our worth on external factors Talking less, Doing more Appearance vs truth My (expensive) experience with so-called professional business courses and coaches and why it didn’t work Limiting beliefs and fears associated to work and professionalism HSPs and perfectionism Self-censorship Starting creative projects and keeping at it Building trust with yourself What to focus on instead Connecting to your dreams and your desires And if you enjoyed this episode, screenshot it and share it on social media 🌻 Make sure to tag @rim.creativenergy  Every little bit helps 🌻 Also featured in the episode: A free resource for you: Connect to your dreams meditation  A guided deep meditation/hypnosis taking you on a journey in the imaginary land of your subconscious, leading you to listen to your dreams, your deepest desires.  This meditation will help you to get space and time to dream freely and gain clarity on what you really want (no more settling for someone else’s dreams). Astrologer Rob Breszny’s quote when running for council as reported by Mark C. Anderson: “I was honest. I wanted to disabuse potential voters of the notion that I was a straightforward, no-nonsense candidate. I assured them poetry and performance art would be a key part of my repertoire as a city council member—just as they had been during the campaign.I told them I would consult my dreams and use astrology and divination as I pondered what positions I should take.In other words, I would act like myself.”

What about all these complicated feelings and emotions that “get in the way”? Today, I’m joined by Cami Minerbo, the host and creator of The Blossom Experiment, a podcast that discusses authenticity, intuition, and intuitive living.  In this episode you will learn about: What is alignment? When we feel uncomfortable emotions, sometimes it’s because we tuned out of our bodies and are doing things that are not right for us. Perhaps they’re good for society or other people, but since we’re all unique, is it really possible to lead a fulfilled life as one size fits all? Today, I’m joined by Cami Minerbo, the host and creator of The Blossom Experiment, a podcast that discusses authenticity, intuition, and intuitive living.  In this episode you will learn about: Grounding and flowing energy The Earthy energy behind Cami’s podcast The Blossom Experiment Cami’s journey into embodiment and conscious grounding while remaining spiritual Using spiritual tools as support to get to know ourselves better vs becoming slave of them Honing in your uniqueness and specificity Riding the wave of emotions Listening to our body How to achieve balance between the duality of flowy flexibility and structure Trusting the timing of things and alignment Recovering from obsession with structure and organisation Mental health, boundaries, and standing up for yourself Spotting patterns and subconscious beliefs Life is happening WITH you Manifestation and empowerment HSPs tendency to feel responsible for everything and the feeling of guilt Childhood dreams  and the difference between authentic dreams and dreams influenced by our environment Finding out our true values and beliefs Judging ourselves for our differences Facing our problems vs running away Feeling in alignment with where you live vs disconnected Cami’s birthday trip to Corfu and reconnection with her ancestry + connecting to her roots Home is the accumulation of grounding rituals and routines Flowing vs numbing Cami Minerbo’s purpose is to help others flow inwards so they can trust their inner guidance and create a life that feels fulfilling to the soul. 10 - Leap into the unknown: Moving from fear to curiosity

Transitions, transformations always involve taking a leap into the unknown at some point. And that usually feels pretty scary! As I've been through a lot of transformations, I share my process from shifting my initial fear to curiosity, and thus doing, I access more easily all sorts of creative solutions. In this episode you’ll learn: What’s in the surface is seldom what is beneath How our fears can keep us small Getting out of our comfort zone Falling down the rabbit hole Accepting fear as part of life My experience with going through deep transformation and this feeling of everything I knew being shattered The notion of time and time parallels Imagining our life through the eye of a film’s heroe The order of Nature Playfulness and adopting a sense of wonder in order to create order from chaos The Creative ritual that helps me to transcend fear The tools I use to move from fear to curiosity Mini Eagle visualisation Featured in the episode: Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to find joy and faith in life again, and harnessing my creative energy and taking it to new heights: rimcreativenergy.com/retreats Art and drawing: to see my latest artworks: rimcreativenergy.com/art and https://www.rimcreativenergy.com/shop Stay in touch with me on Instagram: @rim.creativenergy If you’d like to receive my newsletter where I share inspirations, tips and tricks about all things living life on your own terms through creativity and sensitivity, subscribe here  Also mentioned: Human Design: https://christieinge.com/

9 - No more breadcrumb friendships

« Just be yourself » « Just do it » « Take action » « Go for it » « Set boundaries » Ask for help, surround yourself with good friends and people you can count on. Yes, these are wonderful suggestions. BUT what does that mean exactly? And HOW to do that? If you’re an empath and a highly sensitive person, being yourself could be very different from moment to moment. Like a chameleon you change depending on who is near you. You can easily take on the identity and emotions of the people around you.  You may be seeking validation from others, yet you may struggle accepting love from others and feeling lovable. You may also find that your empathy and compassion towards others is not reciprocated, and you end up feeling resentful in your relationships and social interactions. But you think it must be you, and you keep making more and more efforts. Until you can’t take it anymore and you end up “disappearing” silently. Result: frustration, overwhelm, feeling stuck in the same patterns over and over again, disappointed. Not trusting your ability to choose the right things/people to invest in yourself.  Leading to a dimming of your creative energy. It may be time to say no to settling for breadcrumbs and aiming for the full bread loaf instead! 8 - What to do when nothing seems to work

There are days like that, sometimes even weeks, when nothing seems to be working. Obstacles after obstacles. I’ve been having such a week, especially today, the day I recorded this episode. Frustration? Definitely! Anger? Yes, quite a bit. Disappointment? Also that. Yet, is that all there is to such moments? In this episode, I take you along with me in that tricky energy and how I reframed the situation, and was able to shift my energy, and move from feeling powerless to feeling in my power. I talk about: When it seems like the mountain to climb is so very high + arduous journey to the top Recognizing what we have control over and what we have not Anxiety and its message Difficult feelings and what to do with them The pressure we give to ourselves Fear of vulnerability Letting go of rigid plans Being clear on your intentions Being clear on priorities and non-negotiables Adaptability and flow  The power of a pause Regulating the nervous system Movement and Creativity Connecting to your dreams How can deep meditation + hypnosis help Listen to my deep meditation/hypnosis “Connect to your dreams” here I’m also mentioning Niraj Naik, from Soma Breath And Colette Baron Reid’s Dream Weaver oracle cards Stay in touch with me on Instagram: @rim.creativenergy Get my FREE serenity creative "playbook" To see & purchase my artworks: rimcreativenergy.com/art  and rimcreativenergy.com/shop If you’d like to receive my weekly newsletter where I share inspirations, tips and tricks about all things living life on your own terms through creativity and sensitivity, subscribe here

7- Transitions - How to handle the in-between (without going crazy!)

Ah the in-between phase… like a thick, heavy cloudy sky, with no sunlight seemingly coming through… I used to see it as an ordeal, a purgatory: why wait? Why “waste time”? I wanna things to happen NOW! And yet such a necessary phase when going through change.  Like a fallow period, where the seeds of your intentions lays dormant, and is getting ready to gather strength and nutrients before blooming and blossoming into the next version of yourself. In this episode, I talk about: How these transition phases remind me of when we move home and get ready to pack and unpack We often think that this big moment that we wait for a long time is gonna be an overnight change The “as soon as… I’ll be…” trap Trying to force things into reality before time is right The process of change and what it involves Stumbling, falling down and getting back up again Transition from a transition Everything in life is change A big jump into the unknown Letting go Grief Getting in the flow Making experimentations Learning to enjoy the discomfort What to focus on instead Finding your voice I’m also mentioning Rob Brezsny’s horoscope To see & get my artworks: rimcreativenergy.com/art Stay in touch with me on Instagram: @rim.creativenergy If you’d like to receive my weekly newsletter where I share inspirations, tips and tricks about all things living life on your own terms through creativity and sensitivity, subscribe here

6- Dear Sun - On gratitude: How to make it simple

Today I’m sharing my process for making my gratitude practice simple, natural and joyful. Listen to this episode if you too, you’re tired of the endless list of “things you’re supposed to do” self-development rhetoric! Surprise bonus: I recorded a short meditation towards the end of the episode 🌻✨ Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to heal from my repetitive burnouts and find joy and faith in life again:  rimcreativenergy.com/retreats To see my artworks: rimcreativenergy.com/art Stay in touch with me on Instagram: @rim.creativenergy If you’d like to receive my weekly newsletter where I share inspirations, tips and tricks about all things living life on your own terms through creativity and sensitivity, subscribe here

5- How to harness your sensitivity to recover from burnout

“Art is restoration, the idea is to repair the damages that are inflicted in life” - Louise Bourgeois In this episode, I talk about how Highly Sensitive People tend to feel overwhelm and often bypass this feeling until they burn out. I share my experience with burnout and how I tapped into my senses to heal and recover from it. Once we bring ourselves back to a sense of safety, creative energy is able to flow abundantly. In this episode, I cover: What are the signs of overwhelm What are the emotional signs and symptoms of burnout Burnout can lead to mental breakdown and depression Strategies most people use to cope with overwhelm that don’t work for HSPs The role of the Subconscious How to get into alignment How to feel safe and why that’s important for HSPs How tapping into your senses is the best gift you can give to yourself Creative warmups Resources mentioned in this episode: The Empowered Sensitive and Creative Retreat The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron The Perfectionism Project by Sam Laura Brown Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to heal from my repetitive burnouts and find joy and faith in life again:  rimcreativenergy.com/retreats To see my artworks: rimcreativenergy.com/art Stay in touch with me on Instagram: @rim.creativenergy If you’d like to receive my weekly newsletter where I share inspirations, tips and tricks about all things living life on your own terms through creativity and sensitivity, subscribe here

4- One simple question to get unstuck right away - how I created the Empowered Sensitive and Creative Retreat

I want to be absolutely transparent by going through my thought process because I think it can help you too. Overthinking and second-guessing oneself is quite common amongst High Sensitive People.  And that can hold you back big time, and give up following on your intuition. In this episode, I talk about how I was hesitant to follow up on a dream and how I felt stuck for a long time, until I answered this simple question. The energy in my body completely shifted and I was able to make progress (i.e. create and launch my project) in two weeks! I hope this episode will inspire you to follow what lights you up and go after your dreams 🌻 I also mention The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron Join me for the Empowering and Regenerative Creative Retreats for Sensitive and Creative people, where I’ll guide you to the same process I used myself to heal from my repetitive burnouts and find joy and faith in life again:  rimcreativenergy.com/retreats To see my artworks: rimcreativenergy.com/art Stay in touch with me on Instagram: @rim.creativenergy If you’d like to receive my weekly newsletter where I share inspirations, tips and tricks about all things living life on your own terms through creativity and sensitivity, subscribe here

My journey Part 1 - From Tunisia to Paris - joy & beauty in the little things, even when shadows are lurking

6 months ago, I heard a voice within me whispering to me that I’ll launch that podcast 6 months later, I just have to pick a symbolic date. Well, I picked my birthday, as a symbol for renewal and rebirth.  And so we are, on my birthday, and here’s my first episode recorded and published! 🌻In a way, it’s my birthday gift to my younger self: like many HSPs and empaths, I unconsciously believed I was permanently doomed because of my high sensitivity and there was no real place for me in the world. I thought my voice didn’t matter. Reclaiming my voice, my expression, and giving that to myself, to show my inner child that we’re safe and that we belong, that it is safe to take space is the best bday gift I could give her. My intention is to show you what’s possible for you when you reclaim your unique voice too. 🌻For this first episode, I thought it would be interesting to share a bit of my background story, what role creativity had in my life, how I found out I was a Highly Sensitive Person and how I found myself living around the world in quest of adventures and meaning. That’s to give you a bit of context into who I am and why I came to create this podcast. 🌻I think that many of us tend to dismiss the seemingly little things in our lives as “not that important” but in fact deep down we know that they marked us quite a lot. By sharing those events with you and how I realized that it actually affected me much more that I wanted to acknowledge, I hope it will help you see your own experiences through a different length, and I hope, feel less lonely. 🌻Because we Highly Sensitive People, we are people who feel deeply, we’re highly emotional, but we’re really scared to come across as  “too” emotional, too much, too sensitive, too intense… We want people around us to be happy, safe, and comfortable. So sometimes we forget about our own comfort and satisfaction, and wellbeing. Here is the first part of my journey, from Tunisia to Paris.
