What is Heavy Metal Hippie Music? Let me Reintroduce Myself

Send us Fan MailToday, I thought we should spend sometime reconnecting. Catching up and really, I’ve never properly introduced myself on this channel so let’s have a reintroduction shall we?Who is or what is Heayy Metal Hippie Music? It’s about time we set the record straight! Heavy Metal Hippie Music Launched in 2020 with the original intention of being a record label but oh my how things have changed along the way! The Heavy Metal Hippie name came from a nickname that was given to me from my friends back in the day of organising weekend long herb gatherings in the great outdoors in Alberta, Canada. I’ve always had a love for health and wellness as well as music and the connection and love that it brings to unite people and help us be the best versions of ourselves. So it made sense that I’d have to find a way to combine the things I love the most. Now in 2026, we are showing up to support artists and businesses in so many different ways across the creative industries. With a focus on music, we also provide services to other small businesses like music shops, clothing brands, entrepreneurs, visual artists, teachers and more. We thrive on seeing people reach their goals and new levels of success and excitement! We specialise in the following:Artist ManagementPersonal/Creative Coaching, Executive CoachingSocial Media Strategy/Consulting and ManagementPodcast ProductionUK Tour Booking / Booking agentBusiness / Corporate TrainingAt the end of the day, I love showcasing the incredible people in the world and I know you’ll often find that there are so many emerging artists and businesses that deserve the recognition and to be seen and find success. I love being a part of that for the people I work with. So take a look around the Heavy Metal Hippie Music site, give us a follow, drop us a line if you think we can help. Marlowe - Identity and Complete Self Expression

Send us Fan MailLoved having a chat with our friend Marlowe today. Venezuela born Marlowe has been all over the London music scene lately releasing their own brand of dark pop powered by raw and confessional lyrics. We spend a lot of time talking about believing in yourself, expressing your truth and deep self exploration. Marlowe has had a lot of obstacles to overcome - like being the “weird” kid. Fun fact - being the weird kid generally comes out pretty fantastically! Check out everything Marlowe is up to here:Instagram @marlowe.mp3Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comSupport the Show!https://www.buzzsprout.com/2314151/supporters/newSupport the show

The Productivity Hack of Slowing Down

Send us Fan MailThis episode is all about slowing down, in the very best way possible. In a world where we’re supposed to be creating and creating, and productive and releasing our work, on a never ending cycle of churning of content and production where do we draw the line without sacrificing it all? Slowing down is not about stopping productivity and grinding business and life to a halt, but it’s about making space for yourself so that you can create some space to allow your mind explore, to allow your imagination to run wild and show up as the best you. That’s what makes the difference in the long run! I’ve been allowing myself a bit of a digital detox and pulling back on personal posts while maintaining consistency with my business related posts and it’s helped me feel like I have more of a handle on everything, slowing down, reducing the mind clutter, and feeling like there is more room for freedom of thought and exploration giving clarity to situations that arrive and need focus. Let me know what you do to give yourself space to breathe! I’d love to hear!Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comSupport the show

Lasse Kulsrud - The Blues & Heavy Metal. Adapting Your Sound in Every Genre

Send us Fan MailWe sat down with Lasse Kulsrud, bassist of Norwegian band Heigh Chief to talk all things music, going out of your comfort zone and finding your presence on stage and off stage. Lasse’s story is very cool as his first metal show ever, was the one he played in with Isiliel on the 2025 European tour. It took him way out of his comfort zone where he primarily sits in the blues and rock area, it was a new way of approaching music and opened up a whole new perspective on stage performance. Lasse is headed out with Heigh Chief on tour very shortly! It’s Cool to be Kind! Thriving with Kindness

Send us Fan MailInspired by my Hello Kitty notepad, I’ve been thinking about the way that kindness shows up and makes our lives transform and blossom, whether we’re giving or receiving it. And usually, we’re doing both!  The kindness we put into the world can be incredible transformative and that sharing some compassion around can open up our world so beautifully where we support each other and find stable footing for ourselves. We all have time for compassion at the end of the day!At its core, kindness is about building a supportive community. In the face of global challenges, individuals who prioritise kindness contribute to a culture of empathy and resilience. By fostering a community centred around kindness, we not only enhance our own lives but also uplift those around us.I've noticed how kindness shines through the negativity. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the hate and misunderstanding around us, but remember, love and collaboration can change our daily experiences. What are you doing today to have kindness bring out the best in you and others?Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comSupport the show

We're All Influencers - How do you impact change?

Send us Fan MailToday we’re talking about the fact that that we are all influencers. It’s easy to get caught in a vibe of “disliking” influencers. But we all influence in our own way in our every interaction. I have been thinking about it a lot where people seem to be shaming social media influencers for simply existing and forgetting the fact that they can make a big difference in a lot of people’s day to day lives.Fact of the matter is that whether it’s your parents, a coworker or friend, a student, or a stranger, we make such a difference on peoples well being and their lives. To me, being an influencer doesn’t mean that you have to be selling things to people online, it doesn’t mean you need to be selling anything. Our interactions shape the world around us and whether positive or negative, we all influence change, and lives. Have you reflected how you can make an impact on the world around you? Have you ever considered that you truly are an influencer? Peace love & rock!Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comSupport the show

Standing up for doggies - Uniting for all good!

Send us Fan MailToday, we're talking about an unpleasant experience a few weeks back involving a guy and the mistreatment of his sweet dog. But it's bigger than that. It's not only about the dog. It's about standing up for ourselves, for each other and the people around us. We may feel small and insignificant at times, but it's important to remember that we can make change in our lives by speaking up, and especially by uniting together to make the world a better place. I am still thinking about that sweet doggy, I'm hoping he's in a happy place being taken care of with tons of love. How does your style define you? Do we need to live in a box?

Send us Fan MailI was talking with a friend about style the other day and I mentioned that I always identified as a bit of a punk, and she was really surprised when I told her I didn't really see myself on the goth side... because I didn't think I was cool enough to identify there. Ahh the stories we tell ourselves right? Today I'm talking about how we define our style and how our style shapes us in how we show up in the world, how authentic we are and how we grow into who we always were meant to be. How would you define your style? I see myself as a punk sparkly hippie fairy of sorts as you'll hear me describe in this episode. What does your heart desire? Reflection & Connection

Send us Fan MailThe past few weeks have been filled with conversations about self love, taking care of your own needs, regrets, taking risks and simply put, finding yourself in the journey. The common theme I have been hearing is about how people seem to be disconnected with what their heart really wants out of life. Afraid to speak up and grab what they want, to set boundaries in relationships, thinking their ideas are “stupid” or all sorts of these ideas that seem to limit us in our growth. I’ve been making some time for some reflection and heart connection myself lately, and I see the growth over the past few years, but wow, when I get down and listen to what I want out of life, there’s much work to be done! It’s good to check in this way and keep pushing forward and past the fears that usually hold us back. Life gets better and better the more you can step into being yourself and releasing the fear. Getting specific about what you want, what you align with and how you want to show up in the world. Every little thing you can do to tap into that energy and give yourself space for self connection and acceptance will help!Have you spent some time connecting lately? I want to know what your heart desires! New Year: New Opportunities, New Peace

Send us Fan MailIf you’ve been following me for a while, you know I am a sucker for the New Year! This is the time that I believe it’s so important to take time for reflection and reset. This year has honestly been one of a lot of massive changes yet again and it’s been reassuring that everything feels aligned with the greater purpose. I am not the one for resolutions but I am the one for reflection, planning and goal setting. This was the year of the snake that we are now drawing to a close and it’s certainly been a year of shedding our skin and planning for rebirth and growth. I reflect on the y ear and see that there are great changes and this is time that we can always grab that reset. I love that we can focus on what we want with a fresh mindset and outlook. It always comes to me that the new year presents us with another 365 opportunities to move us to achieve our dreams, to step into the light and into the life that we are working for. Sometimes that means leaving things in the past, whether it’s mindsets, long established patterns, relationships, and work, or even as simple as clearing out the wardrobe or even just the junk drawer! We make space and we make time for the things that are important to us and the life we intend to live. This is part of why you’ve seen me talk about space clearing and how we create space physically and emotionally in our lives for this. If we’ve closed every aspect of our lives and filled every corner, there’s very little opportunity to make change and evolve, but the opening, the breath, the space allows us to explore, to grow and step into who we were meant to be!What are you looking forward to this new year? Are you setting goals and what’s your wish for the new year? Holiday Traditions: Stepping Back? Or Leaning in?

Send us Fan MailChristmas and the holidays are all around us! I’m sure you can’t avoid it on every single corner and to be fair, I absolutely love it. I’ve been trying new things this season, like checking out the Silent Pool Gin pop up shop, meeting for creative writing workshops with Rachel Knightley, flipping up my routine, focusing on a strong push before the holidays and taking some proper down time. While my son has been heading to Canada for Christmas the last couple years, I haven’t done anything myself and this time, I’ve loved getting away for a couple days and now being able to settle into some new celebrations. What I’ve noticed is how holiday traditions have changed for me since I had my son and also since moving to the UK. Some have stayed, some have dropped, some are developing. I love hearing about people’s family and cultural traditions and how they come together with the people they love. I truly believe that like with anything, you don’t have to keep doing it just because it’s always been done. If it doesn’t sit right, it’s okay to let it go. It’s okay to adapt what does feel like it’s aligned with you - and that can even change too. What is your favourite tradition? Anything you’ve left behind? Let me know in the comments! Wishing you lots of love and happiness over the holidays! Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

Girl Problems: Advocating for your health

Send us Fan MailTo be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was going to speak publicly about this outside of my groups and close circles. But it occurred to me how often I hear these stories of women’s medical concerns being brushed off for one reason or another which usually, are not very compelling reasons of dismissal. I have been struggling with irregular menstrual bleeding for nearly a decade. All tests have been inconclusive for a reason why, until I’ve finally found a specialist to help me handle it properly. I’ve finally been able to go for a small operation so this doesn’t continue any further. For me, this was the best solution, to get back to feeling like myself, to stop being taken out by excessive bleeding. With no underlying health conditions, for myself, this was the best route to go and a month later, I have absolutely no regrets. Again - this is only my experience, not medical advice of any sort. The big point is, sometimes it takes years (unfortunately) but it’s worth standing up for yourself and your health and making yourself a priority and heard! Despite the system being overworked and overwhelmed, we still need to advocate for ourselves and not just agree to “come back in two years”. Or “just wait until it’s worse”. For me, I was losing so much blood each month I should have had transfusions. And it was odd to lose os much without any pain, light cramping, no cysts, no growths, no other abnormalities. That was reality though. So keep standing up for yourself whether it’s related to menstruation or if it’s anything you’re concerned about with your health, you owe it to yourself and the people you love.See you next week!Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

What if the World Went Silent?

Send us Fan MailToday we are discussing the profound impact of art on our daily lives. I’ve been thinking a lot about this concept of the world without art. In many ways, it is not a world that would exist full stop as every little thing we have requires creativity and design. But let’s be real, the world would absolutely suck without the arts. More and more venues are coming out and reminding people to buy their tickets early to avoid shows being cancelled and to keep these music venues going strong. It makes a massive difference if you shop those tickets early and support artists while they continue to grow. I am also talking about the accessibility of concerts and the importance of supporting local artists, highlighting the disparity in the music scene between the UK and North America. If we’re all here for the love of art and expression and allowing music to change the world, keep going. Keep showing up for the things you love. We’re the only ones that can do this together!Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

This doesn't apply for every situation and I speak from my experiences only. Gimme a Break - Rest, Reset, Relax

Send us Fan MailThough this episode was meant to come at you a week earlier, some scheduling and technical issues got in the way but today is certainly a fitting day to talk about the critical need for rest and resetting in our busy lives. I am talking burnout and the importance of taking breaks to maintain productivity and mental health. We’re giving a quick overview of the difference between restorative rest and mindless activities like scrolling on social media. I advocate for hobbies and nature as healthier alternatives. Let’s redefine what rest looks like. What self care looks like. What relaxation looks like. Today is about restorative energy.II went into the city over the weekend with nothing specific to do, but I took this time to check out some local shops, wander around, people watch… and it felt so good. Today felt the same as I walked through Soho without a set place I needed to be. Sometimes these simple acts can be exactly the rejuvenation we need. What’s your favourite way to relax, reset, and give yourself a fresh perspective on life? The space for a mental reset is where the creativity flows, where new ideas take place and where you begin to see really growth. Making this a priority is a key for long term success. Sending you SO much love today!! Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

Free Your Mind, Free Your Soul: With Decluttering

Send us Fan MailToday we're talking about decluttering. While some of the principles come from our Feng Shui practice, I always find its a great way to get grounded, shift energy and get realigned with our goals and our purpose. I’ve been working on my house the past few weeks to get things flowing, feeling inspired and energised and welcoming fresh opportunities in. Decluttering doesn’t mean you need to get rid of everything you own. But it can mean organising, streamlining, holding the things you love closely and cultivating a space that fosters comfort and happiness for you.Have you tried it before? Is it something you’d consider?Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

What You Waiting For? Pump Up The Confidence

Send us Fan MailSometimes when I do these episodes, I need the pep talk myself and I hope that it helps you get ready to step into a place of full confidence, authenticity and self acceptance. Confidence has been top of mind and discussion for a few weeks and I have been surprised to hear how people view themselves and the people around them. We can give ourselves a gift of stepping into that energy ourselves and making sure we are working with our strengths, finding confidence and sharing our gifts with the world! I wobble up and down with confidence and I sure try my best but I know it can be a really difficult thing for me. These are some of my little tips and things I do to help me through some of the hard times. Be kind to yourself. Be open to listen and experience… accept compliments and positivity that comes your way. And hand it out to everyone you know.  Together, we can make the world better! Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

How Did it End Up Like This? Releasing Shame and Writing Your Story

Send us Fan MailToday we are about confidence, self-acceptance, and the importance of rewriting one's own narrative. I had a moment with a dress that I've owned for a few years and the stories that had been put on me to build up my shame story. Well, I think it's important to reflect and rewrite the script. Because the story somebody wrote for you is not the story that you need to carry with you through life. I love this dress. And I'll keep wearing it, rewriting my stories and pushing forward on that healing path!  We need empowerment, we need to break taboos, and to embrace our own unique stories. What will you start to write today?Follow us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show

Send us Fan MailIn this episode of the Healthy Metal Hippie, Ashley Lexine discusses the concept of feeling 'broken' and challenges the societal narrative that suggests there is an age limit to mental health struggles. That's worrying when people have decided that there is a time limit on mental health.I'm spilling my own tea a little bit today sharing personal experiences with depression and healing, emphasizing the importance of self-discovery and the non-linear nature of recovery. They also touch on the role of Reiki, the natural stress response, and the benefits of integrating TRE into daily life for overall wellness. We really had a great time speaking about trauma and how tension builds in the body that is difficult for us to let go of often for so many years.Follow Sylvia here:www.tremendousTRE.co.ukLinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/sylvia-tillmann/Instagram  https://www.instagram.com/learntre/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WhatIsTheAlternativeX https://x.com/LearnTREFollow Us:Instagram:@aeroash28@heavymetalhippiebox@heavymetalhippiemusic@healthymetalhippiewww.healthymetalhippie.comwww.heavymetalhippiemusic.comwww.heavymetalhippiebox.co.ukSupport the show
