136. Building The Hivery Through Grief, Community & Starting Over with Grace Kraaijvanger
In this deeply honest and moving conversation, I sit down with Grace, founder of The Hivery , to talk about entrepreneurship, grief, reinvention, community, and what it really looks like to build something meaningful through life’s hardest seasons. You’ve heard me mention The Hivery so many times on the podcast because becoming part of this community has genuinely changed my experience of entrepreneurship and womanhood. In this episode, Grace shares the incredible story behind building The Hivery: from her early career as a professional dancer, to navigating burnout and searching for deeper meaning, to creating one of the first women-centered coworking and community spaces in the Bay Area. But this conversation goes far beyond business. Grace vulnerably opens up about losing her mother, supporting her younger sister through terminal cancer while simultaneously expanding her business, and later losing everything she had built during the pandemic when The Hivery was forced to close its doors. We talk about what it means to hold grief while continuing to show up for your dreams, the courage it takes to start over, and why women so deeply need spaces where they can be fully seen, supported, and human. This episode is for anyone navigating a transition, rebuilding after loss, questioning what success really means, or craving deeper community in a world that often asks us to do it all alone. 📲 Connect with MagaliJoin the Unlock Your Vitality COMMUNITYInstagramMagali's Substack 📲 Connect with GraceFree Day Pass @ The HiveryJoin The HiveryInstagram

135. SOLO: Anxiety, Accountability & Returning to Myself
In this solo episode, I’m sharing a little life update of my day today! It's a mix of anxiety, intuition, self-trust, accountability and the growing tension between being and doing. After waking up anxious from a nightmare and struggling to regulate my nervous system, I found myself thinking deeply about the tools, habits, and technologies we rely on and whether they actually bring us closer to ourselves or further away. I open up about my relationship with data tracking, fitness watches, health metrics, and the pressure to constantly optimize ourselves, especially in the wellness and entrepreneurial spaces. Inspired by a friend’s decision to stop wearing her Apple Watch, I reflect on what happened when I unintentionally stopped using my Garmin and how it actually helped me reconnect to my body, intuition, and self-trust. I also share the new monthly accountability practice inside the Unlock Your Vitality Community, including the three focus areas I’m currently working on: writing my book, building deeper relationships in my business, and exploring Ayurvedic living. This episode is a reminder that sometimes healing isn’t about more information, it’s about learning to trust yourself again. In this episode, we talk about: Navigating anxiety and nervous system regulation The difference between being vs. doing Why wearable data can sometimes disconnect us from intuition Reconnecting to movement, running, and body wisdom Accountability practices that actually feel supportive Jennifer's article I mentioned 📲 Connect with MagaliJoin the Unlock Your Vitality COMMUNITYInstagramMagali's Substack

134. SOLO: What Season Is Your Business In? Exploring vs. Deepening
In this episode, I’m inviting you into a powerful reframe that might completely shift the way you see your business (and your life). What season are you in? I’m breaking down the difference between the exploration phase and the deepening phase, and why understanding where you are can change everything. I share my own journey of trying different paths, from health coaching to Reiki to business coaching and how each season gave me clarity on what truly felt aligned. This episode will help you understand what season your business is in, whether you’re meant to be exploring or deepening, so you can stop second-guessing yourself, align your energy with where you actually are, and move forward with more clarity, confidence, and ease. Inside this episode: What it actually means to be in an exploration season When it’s time to shift into deepening The 80/20 balance that creates sustainable growth How to use feedback and energy as your compass Why your business will evolve as you do 📲 Connect with MagaliJoin the Unlock Your Vitality COMMUNITYInstagramMagali's Substack

133. The 3 Identities That Shape Who You Are (and How You Move Through the World) With Amber Allen-Peirson
In this episode, I’m joined by Amber Allen-Peirson (aka Clarity), a creative, educator, and storyteller whose work deeply moved me when I experienced her workshop in our coworking community. We dive into a powerful framework she teaches around the three identities we all carry—and how understanding them can completely shift the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. This conversation is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with who you are beneath everything you’ve been told to be. We explore: The difference between your 3 identities: self-identified, assigned, and projected identities Why feeling misunderstood might actually be a doorway to deeper self-trust How to navigate other people’s perceptions of you without losing yourself The role of projection in judgment, triggers, and emotional reactions Why burnout, anxiety, and breakdowns can be powerful catalysts for coming back to yourself How to strengthen your inner voice in a world constantly telling you who to be This episode isn’t about fixing anything, it’s an invitation to get curious and maybe… seeing yourself a little more clearly. 132. The Hidden Comfort of Staying Busy (on being)
In this solo episode, I’m bringing you into a very real, very present moment in my life. One where I definitely don’t have it all figured out. After coming back from a beautiful trip to France (filled with slow mornings, long hikes, and meaningful time with family), I noticed something surprising I felt excited to come home. Not overwhelmed. Not anxious but grounded and feeling so at ease in my work. But alongside that ease, something else has been unfolding a deeper lesson around doing vs. being (yes AGAIN). And honestly? I’m kinda struggling with it. In this episode, I share: How I created a work rhythm that actually supports my life (not the other way around) Why coming home to community reminded me how important it is to nourish all parts of myself The difference between “doing” for control vs. allowing space for “being” What my therapy + fertility journey are revealing about my patterns Why “being” can feel so uncomfortable, even when we know we need it This isn’t a polished lesson or a “here’s how to fix it” episode. It’s an invitation to gently look at your own life and ask: Where am I trying to control things through constant doing? Where might life be asking me to soften and simply be? 📲 Connect with MagaliJoin the Unlock Your Vitality COMMUNITYInstagramMagali's Substack

129. When Business Flows: Trusting Your Intuition While Still Taking Action
This episode came from a real, honest conversation inside my community that I couldn’t stop thinking about. It brought up something I know so many of us navigate while building a business: the tension between doing more and trusting more. If you’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed, questioning your path, or wondering if you’re doing enough… this is your reminder that you don’t have to force it all to make it work. In this episode, we talk about: The balance between masculine (doing) and feminine (being & trusting) in business Letting go of control and allowing space for unexpected opportunities Why taking a break can sometimes be the most aligned next step How things start to flow when you stop forcing them 📲 Connect with MagaliJoin the Unlock Your Vitality COMMUNITYInstagramMagali's Substack

128. The Flow Habit: How to Reconnect with Joy, Creativity & Inner Peace with Laurie Smith
What if the path back to yourself wasn’t about doing more…but about remembering what already brings you joy? In this episode, I’m joined by Laurie Smith, author of The Flow Habit, for a beautiful conversation on flow state, creativity, intuition, and the healing power of doing something simply because you love it. We talk about how flow isn’t just reserved for artists, athletes, or peak performance moments. It can live in the small everyday moments too, in cooking, writing, dancing, creating, laughing with a friend, or doing something that helps you lose track of time and come home to yourself. Laurie shares how returning to writing for just 5–10 minutes a day during the pandemic changed everything for her, and how that simple practice grew into a global movement, a book, and a deeper understanding of what it really means to live in flow. We also explore the connection between flow, intuition, healing, childhood joy, and how this state can support us not only in the beautiful moments of life, but also in the hardest ones. In this episode, we talk about: ✨ What the flow state actually is ✨ Why flow is more accessible than we think ✨ How to begin, even if you feel distracted, overwhelmed, or disconnected ✨ The role of intrinsic joy and childlike curiosity ✨ Technology, overstimulation, and what pulls us out of flow ✨ Flow as a pathway to intuition, healing, and inner peace ✨ Laurie’s journey of writing The Flow Habit ✨ Beautiful reminders for anyone who feels called to write, create, or share their voice This conversation is such a gentle invitation to slow down, follow your sparkles, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have always known how to flow. 📲 Connect with MagaliJoin the Unlock Your Vitality COMMUNITYInstagramMagali's Substack 📲 Connect with LaurieGet Laurie's bookInstagramLaurie's Substack

127. Permission to Choose Yourself: SOLO travel & Saying Yes to Your Dreams
In this solo episode, Magali shares the story behind her recent spontaneous solo trip to Baja California (a dream she had been putting off for years). Originally, the adventure was meant to be swimming with whales. But when the tour was canceled due to strong winds, something unexpected happened: the trip became about something much deeper. Magali reflects on what it means to give yourself permission to follow a dream, even when it doesn’t unfold exactly as planned. She shares how this trip intersected with her fertility journey, the emotional weight she had been carrying, and the powerful reminder that sometimes the magic isn’t in the outcome, it’s in choosing yourself. From an unforgettable moment witnessing a mama whale and her calf at exactly 11:11, to reflections on solo travel, intuition, and the power of our choices as travelers, this episode is an invitation to move toward the things calling you, even if you don’t know exactly how they will unfold. 126. Q&A: How I Reduce the Risk of Burnout as an Entrepreneur
In this solo episode, I’m answering a beautiful question from one of you: How do you reduce the risk of burnout after having experienced it so deeply before? After co-founding and scaling a tech startup (and staying two years longer than I should have), I learned that burnout doesn’t just come from working too much. It comes from misalignment. From tying your worth to your output. From beating your drum at someone else’s rhythm. In this conversation, I share: The real root of my burnout in the startup world Why having an identity outside of work is non-negotiable How I regularly check if something still feels aligned (and what to do when it doesn’t) The difference between needing a break and needing to let something go Why connecting to the feminine (being vs. constant doing) is one of my greatest burnout antidotes If you’ve ever felt the early whispers of burnout, or you’re afraid of repeating old patterns, this one is for you. 🌿 📲 Connect with MagaliDiscover Call LinkInstagramMagali's SubstackReclaim Your Worth Ebook

125. Doing Health Softer: Healing Without the All-or-Nothing Rules with Whitney Shook
What if healing didn’t have to feel so hard? In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with Whitney, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who works with women living with autoimmune conditions (including Hashimoto’s), and who shares a message I deeply believe in: health doesn’t have to be rigid to be effective. This conversation felt like a deep exhale. We talk about what it means to do health softer, stepping away from all-or-nothing rules, fear-based protocols, and the constant pressure to “optimize,” and instead coming back to real food, nervous system support, intuition, and self-trust. Whitney shares her own journey with Hashimoto’s, alopecia, grief, and perfectionism and how those experiences shaped the way she now supports women in healing. We also weave in my own story with burnout, thyroid health, trying to conceive and learning (the hard way) that you can’t force your body into wellness. In this episode, we explore: - What doing health softer actually looks like in real life - Entrepreneurship as a mom of three- Why rigid rules can create more stress (and slow healing)- Letting go of health identities that no longer serve you- Why learning to trust your body again changes everything- How nervous system regulation plays a role in autoimmune health- Actual thyroid labs to ask your doctor about 📲 Connect with WhitneyWhitney's SubstackHow To Read Your Thyroid Labs Happy Thyroid Starter KitInstagram 📲 Connect with MagaliInstagramMagali's SubstackJoin Magali's Community for $5

124. Letting Go of Productivity, Body Shame, and Old Conditioning
In this solo episode, I’m inviting you into two powerful reframes that have been deeply reshaping my life, my healing, and the way I relate to myself. For so many of us, our sense of worth has been conditioned by productivity, by how much we do, produce, achieve, or check off a list. And our understanding of “health” has been shaped by narrow, often harmful standards about what a body should look like. Today, I’m sharing how I’m actively deconditioning both. We explore: Why productivity has been so tightly linked to worth (and how that pattern fueled my burnout) What it looks like to rest without guilt and trust your body, mind, and intuition How EFT tapping has helped me rewire thoughts around worth, productivity, and self-acceptance Redefining health through energy, strength, digestion, joy, and vitality (not size) The tenderness of trusting my body while on a fertility journey This episode is a reminder that you are worthy, regardless of how productive you are. And that a healthy body is not a look, but a lived experience. 📲 Connect with MagaliDiscover Call LinkInstagramMagali's Substack

123. The Hidden Work of Entrepreneurship No One Prepares You For
Entrepreneurship isn’t just about strategy, funnels, or getting things done. It’s about who you become in the process. In this solo episode, Magali pulls back the curtain on the hidden work of entrepreneurship, the inner work no one really prepares you for. The self-doubt, the comparison spiral, the nervous system dysregulation, the tension between doing and being… and the deep personal growth that comes with building something of your own. Drawing from a recent in-person founder intensive, her own startup journey, and years of coaching entrepreneurs around the world, Magali explores why entrepreneurship so often becomes a catalyst for spiritual awakening, identity shifts, and profound self-inquiry. In this episode, we explore: - Why entrepreneurship often brings up self-doubt, limiting beliefs, and emotional resistance- The balance between masculine (doing, structure) and feminine (intuition, flow) energy in business- Exploration vs. deepening phases—and how staying stuck in either can stall your growth- How lack of clarity and focus fuels burnout and comparison- How self-worth, rest, and productivity are deeply intertwined- Why so many great businesses fail not because of bad ideas, but because the founder burns out This episode is an invitation to remember that you are a whole human being, not just a business owner and that caring for yourself is not a distraction from success, but the very thing that makes it possible. If you’re building something meaningful (or dreaming of it), this conversation will meet you exactly where you are and remind you that taking care of yourself is part of the work. 📲 Connect with Magali Join the community hereInstagramMagali's SubstackPodcast IG

122. Holding Faith in Your Healing and Body's Wisdom with Julie Morin
In this deeply reflective conversation, Julie Morin and I explore something deceptively simple but profoundly transformative: the internal state you’re in matters just as much as the challenge you’re facing. Whether it’s chronic pain, frustration, or physical suffering, how we meet our experience shapes not just our mindset it shapes our healing. Julie shares from the heart about her own journey from chronic illness and paralysis to resilience, self-trust, and deep embodiment and how choosing a state of curiosity and trust changed everything for her. We talk about the subtle but powerful shift from resisting your body to listening to it. From “Why is this happening to me?” to “My body is communicating with me.” If you’ve ever struggled with holding faith in your own healing this episode will remind you of your internal strength and your body’s inherent wisdom. You’ll hear: Why your state of being not just your actions influences healing How jealousy or frustration about someone else’s progress can become a doorway to trust What it feels like to catch frustration in the moment and consciously shift your nervous system Why having faith in the system and in yourself makes it work better for you A real-life moment of shifting from annoyance to gratitude in the middle of discomfort 📲 Connect with MagaliLearn more about VITALIZEInstagram 📲 Connect with Julie InstagramEnvol App

109. SOLO: Travel and Strengthening Marriage Through Independence
After 6 weeks off the pod, I’m back re-energized and ready for a September of solo episodes💥Today, I share what taking a longer break taught me about creativity, independence within marriage, and the kind of “home” we build wherever we are. We talk family time in France, slow days in Spain, cold dips in Copenhagen, and the tender re-entry when two partners come back changed but fuller. I also reflect on the difference between being an expat vs. an immigrant, and what it stirred in me watching so many friends return to their roots. In this episode: - Why I took 4 weeks off the podcast and what recalibration gave me - Independence in marriage: choosing time apart and loving it - Family immersion with 18 under one roof (and choosing rest over FOMO) - Europe snapshots: France, Spain, Copenhagen (and winter bathing!) - Expat vs. immigrant: identity, privilege, and perspective - Belonging & roots: can we belong anywhere & what role does family play? - Re-entry after travel: remembering who we are and what we bring back 📝 Mentioned: Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender by David R. Hawkins Unlock Your Vitality Community (monthly calls + soulful support) VITALIZE note: Doors officially closed on September 9.
