    49. 10 things I am LOVING right now *girly edition*

In today’s episode, I’m sharing 10 (okay… 11) things I’m loving right now—from simple beauty products to tips and tricks and a couple parenting things that have blessed our family. This episode is a little more laid-back and fun, but these are truly the kinds of things that are helping me feel more confident and present in this season of motherhood. Some of these are tangible favorites you can try, and others are practices that are quietly shaping the way I show up for my kids.Things Mentioned:* CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen* Saie Dew Blush in Lady* Shiseido Eyelash Curler* Nuuly clothing rental* Maldon sea salt flakes* The Heart Who Wanted to Lasso Thoughts BookSimple Takeaways:* Small things can shift the feel of your whole day* Beauty doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive* Your words carry weight in your home—especially with your kids* Creating little rhythms (music, flowers, meals) makes life feel fullerIf you loved this episode, share it with a friend or send me a message—I always love hearing what’s resonating with you 🤍 This is a public episode. 48. I believe this is the first step to truly discipling your children...

This episode is a little more personal and honestly… a little more convicting.I’ve been asking myself this question lately: How can I disciple my children if I am not a disciple??? Am I actually a disciple of Jesus… or do I just try to do the right things?Because if I’m honest, a disciple isn’t just someone who believes or learns—it’s someone who follows. Someone whose life is actually being transformed. And somewhere along the way, in the middle of motherhood and trying to do everything right, I think I’ve drifted into focusing more on being a “good mom” than being a surrendered follower. In this episode, I share a conversation I had with a friend that reminded me how deeply our kids are shaped by the way we live. Motherhood is discipleship. We are showing them what matters every single day—through our words, our reactions, our habits. And it led me to this hard but honest question:Is my life actually reflecting Jesus? We talk about what it means to be a disciple—not perfectly, but with real transformation. And the one word I keep coming back to is surrender.Letting go of the things we hold tightly.Even the small things.Even the things that feel harmless. This isn’t about being extreme or legalistic—it’s about being open. About getting to a place where we can honestly tell the Lord:“You can have anything.”Because what if the peace we’re craving… the joy we’re longing for… is on the other side of that kind of surrender?I’m not sharing this from a place of having it all figured out. I’m right in the middle of this with you.And my prayer is that this episode simply opens our hearts to ask:“Lord, what are You inviting me to lay down?”xoxo,Sunni This is a public episode. In this episode, I’m sharing a few simple ways to begin creating a home that feels more peaceful, calm, and life-giving—right where you are.The nitty gritty* Decluttering visual clutter (starting with your countertops)* Creating “homebases” with trays to simplify spaces* Using lamps instead of overhead lighting* Finding your personal style (not Instagram’s)* Decorating one room at a time* Romanticizing your everyday life in small waysThings Mentioned* Myquillyn Smith – The Five Stages of Decorating* Homeworthy YouTube ChannelFinal ThoughtYour home doesn’t have to be perfect to be peaceful.Start small, be intentional, and create a space that blesses your family. Thanks for reading Sunni Annelise! 44. how to set & stick to goals as a busy mom

Hey mama,In today’s episode, we’re talking about realistic goals for moms who feel discouraged by comparison and overwhelmed by the pressure to “do it all.” Using the picture of a garden, I share why small, faithful steps matter more than big, flashy routines—and how God uses ordinary, daily obedience to build a life of deep faith over time. If you’ve felt behind, this episode is a reminder that seeds always come before harvest.References* “Running one mile has more in common with running a marathon than sitting at home. Investing $100 has more in common with being a millionaire than being broke. Writing one sentence has more in common with writing a book than never writing one. It always feels small in the beginning and the big goals seem far away. It’s easy to talk yourself out of the early attempts because they feel kind of meaningless. But every race starts with one step. Every fortune starts with a small deposit. Every book begins as one sentence. The real question is not “What is my current position?” but rather, “What is my current trajectory?” Doing nothing builds nothing. Put yourself on the path to something better. Start small, but make sure you start.”*- james clear* Bible Recap (12-minute daily Bible plan)* Daily Devo+* Hymn Playlist* One-line-a-day journal This is a public episode. 43. A Simple Way to Pray That Changed My Prayer Life

In this episode, I’m sharing why prayer is such a vital, everyday part of our lives—and how it keeps us tethered to the Lord in the middle of real life. I often think of prayer the same way I think about communicating with my husband throughout the day: it’s not formal or fancy, it’s constant, relational, and rooted in closeness.I also walk you through a simple prayer model that has truly changed the way I pray and helped my prayers feel more aligned, grounded, and effective. This framework is something you can use daily to prepare your heart and posture yourself before the Lord.A Simple Prayer Model to Prepare Your HeartPraiseWe have to see the Lord rightly. Prayer begins by placing ourselves in the correct posture before Him. Start by praising God for who He is—His character and His names. You might say something as simple as:“I praise You, Lord, for You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.”Looking up the attributes and names of God can be a powerful way to do this.ThanksThank the Lord for what He has already done. This is an active practice of remembrance—recalling His faithfulness in the past, which builds hope and trust for what He will do in the future.Confession / RepentanceAsk the Lord to align your heart with His. Confess what He brings to mind and receive freedom. Sometimes this looks like being quiet and waiting. Other times it may be confessing anxiety—asking the Lord to forgive you for carrying worry instead of turning to Him.AskBring your requests to the Lord. After praising Him, thanking Him, and allowing your heart to be aligned with His, you’ll find that you pray differently. I truly believe your requests will shift when your heart is rooted in who God is and what He desires.Mentioned in This Episode* The Body Teaches the Soul* Find a BSF near youIf this episode encouraged you, I’d love for you to share it with a friend or leave a review—it truly helps other moms find the show. You’re doing better than you think. 42. In + Out for 2026: Less Noise, More Meaning

Okay friends, I’m finally sitting down to share a little life update and what the Lord has been stirring in me over the past few months. In this episode, I’m catching you up on motherhood, work, and the tension of trying to juggle it all — and what I’m learning along the way.We talk about why encouragement matters so much more than criticism (in our homes, friendships, and even in how we talk to ourselves), and what I’m feeling called into as I look ahead to 2026. I’m craving more creativity, more presence, and a life that feels rooted in quality instead of constant excess. We chat about why words matter, why putting the phone down matters, and how something as simple as playing games or creating together can bring so much joy and connection back into our homes. If you’ve been feeling a little scattered, a little tired, or like you’ve lost your creative spark — this one’s for you.Takeaways:* This podcast isn’t just a hobby — it’s a calling, and I keep being reminded of that.* We were created to create because we reflect a creative God.* Encouragement in, criticism out (especially in our homes and inner dialogue).* Presence matters more than perfection — distractions out.* Playing games and doing things together builds connection and joy.* I’m choosing less stuff, but better stuff — quality over quantity.* There is real spiritual warfare around creativity and purpose.* Isolation is sneaky and slowly pulls us away from what we’re called to.* Your words carry more power than you think — speak life.* Shared experiences are one of the easiest ways to build meaningful connection. 40. Please Stop Waiting for the "Right Time" to Serve

So many of us have bought into the idea that we’ll start serving when life slows down—when the kids are older, the house is cleaner, or our schedules feel lighter. But what if that “right time” never actually comes? In today’s episode, we’re talking about what happens when the body of Christ (I am looking at you young mamas) becomes full of consumers instead of contributors—and how God is calling us to pour out what He’s already poured in.We’ll talk about:✨ Why waiting for the perfect season to serve is hurting the body of Christ✨ The example Jesus set when He poured Himself out✨ The difference between wise rest and self-protection✨ What it looks like to contribute right where you are✨ Simple, doable ways to start serving—without adding pressure or guiltFriend, you don’t have to wait for a new season to make an impact. The body needs what God’s put in you, right now. Let’s stop hoarding our energy and start living poured out.Scriptures Mentioned:* Philippians 2:5–8* Mark 10:45* 1 Corinthians 12:12–27* Ephesians 2:10* 2 Timothy 4:6* Acts 20:35Mentioned in this episode:* Upperroom Podcast on Serving HERE* Be Right There Instagram → @sunni_annelise* Subscribe on Apple Podcasts This is a public episode. 39. It Might Be Time For a Spiritual Audit

In this episode, I’m sharing something Jonathan and I recently did that we’re calling a ‘spiritual audit.’ Basically, we hit pause to look at our schedule, pray, and ask the Lord what really needs to stay in this season. I talk about my own journey with BSF, what it looks like to find grace for the season you’re in, and how fasting and prayer gave me so much clarity. I also share about this idea of saying my best yes—being all-in when I commit, instead of halfway in and stretched too thin. And honestly, the Lord used Proverbs 13:4 to show me where I had slipped into laziness instead of diligence. My hope is that this conversation encourages you to take a look at your own commitments and ask, ‘Where is God’s grace covering me right now? This is a public episode. 5. Quick and easy habits for a more peaceful home

hey mama,In today’s episode, we're diving into six simple, meaningful habits that can help bring calm, joy, and a little extra peace into your home. These routines are designed to work seamlessly into your daily rhythm, making it easier to connect with Jesus, create order, and engage with your kids in ways that matter.Show Notes:The Power of the CandleMorning Routine: Start your morning by lighting a candle, making a quick prayer or gratitude list, and setting an intention for the day. Take a moment to open the Word and read one verse to set your heart toward Jesus. This practice was inspired by a mentor from my first job as an SLP, and it stuck with me!Dinner Routine: Inspired by Habits of the Household, light a candle at the table before meals, and say together, “Christ is light.” This routine helps center family time, even if it's not consistent every day. Empty the dishwasher while coffee is brewingPretty self explanatory, but it has been a game changer for my family and a way to keep the kitchen clean throughout the day.  Morning Thank Yous with the KidsHow It Works: When we're driving to BSF or PDO, we kick off the morning by saying, “Jesus, we love You this morning! Thank You for…” I start the sentence, and the kids fill in with things they’re thankful for. This small practice helps set everyone’s heart in the right place, no matter how the morning’s been. The Tidy Cue or 10-Minute ResetCredit: This routine is from Chelsi Jo.How It Works: Right after breakfast, lunch, and before dinner, I set a timer for 5–10 minutes and focus on tidying one area. I get the kids involved too, having them pick up specific items like blocks or books. The quick reset keeps things manageable, and everyone feels calmer with less clutter. Jammie CleaningWhen to Do It: Right after bath time, when the kids are clean and in their pajamas, we have a fun pick-up session. Toys go in baskets, blankets are folded, and shoes go in closets. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it prevents the day from carrying yesterday’s mess into tomorrow. Meal Prep LightInspiration: Inspired by Be Well by Kelley, this routine is all about prepping just a few basics, like washing fruits, chopping veggies, or cooking simple proteins, over the weekend. Throughout the week, it makes meal prep and lunch packing faster and keeps dinnertime smoother with fewer dishes.Links to Resources Mentioned:Habits of the HouseholdChelsi Jo’s WebsiteBe Well by KelleyEach of these routines is designed to work for the busiest of moms, keeping your day simpler, smoother, and focused on what truly matters. I hope you try them out and find a little more joy and calm in your day!xoxo, Sunni This is a public episode.
