Episode 116: Trying hard and getting nowhere
Have you ever felt completely exhausted… not because you were doing too much, but because it felt like all your effort wasn't leading anywhere? In this episode of More Life, Less Drama, I explore a different perspective on burnout and why emotional exhaustion often comes from trying hard without seeing progress, validation or results. This episode dives into: Why burnout is not always about workload The emotional impact of feeling stuck or unseen How lack of progress affects motivation and confidence The difference between physical exhaustion and emotional burnout What this can look like in business, careers, health and everyday life Why small, repeated actions matter more than dramatic change How to stop making slow progress mean failure I also share personal reflections from building businesses, running a sewing club, navigating online business and content creation, and the emotional toll of trying hard in silence. If you've been questioning yourself lately, feeling disconnected from your work, or wondering why things feel heavier than they used to, this episode will help you understand what may really be going on beneath the surface. Episode 114 - Why You Spiral After Conflict (Even When Nothing’s Wrong)
This episode covers why you spiral after emotional moments with others, what drives that response, and how to change it. What's inside this episode: Why you instantly make someone else's emotions about you The real reason people-pleasing feels so urgent What's happening in your nervous system in those moments Why you stay stuck in the spiral long after it's over The hidden cost of this pattern on your time, energy, and focus How to pause instead of reacting Simple ways to support yourself in the moment Why doing the work outside the moment is the real shift Key takeaway:You don't need to stop your emotions. You just need to stop adding extra drama to them. Homework:When you're feeling calm and grounded, take a few minutes to think about this: Who do I want to be when this happens? What do I usually do that I don't want to keep doing? What would I do instead? What's one sentence I can remind myself of at that moment? Write it down so it's there when you need it. Work with me:If you're ready to stop reacting like this and start feeling more calm, steady, and in control of yourself, this is exactly the work I do in one-on-one coaching. You don't need more awareness. Episode 113: Stop Waiting to Feel Ready: Start Your Business Now
So many women are sitting on business ideas they can't seem to move forward. This episode breaks down what's really going on when you keep putting your business idea on the shelf, even when you think about it all the time. It's not a time problemand tt's not a strategy problem. Inside this conversation, wI talk about why waiting to feel ready is keeping you stuck, how fear, doubt and identity play a role, and what actually creates confidence in business (hint: it's not more thinking). This is about becoming someone who follows through — even when it feels uncomfortable. What You'll Take Away Why “not enough time” usually isn't the real issue How self-trust (not strategy) is the foundation of business growth The hidden fear of success and how it shows up Why confidence only comes after you take action The difference between “safe tasks” and real business growth How to identify the one thing that will actually move your business forward Homework Take a minute and answer these honestly: What is one thing you know would actually move your business forward? What would it look like to do that before you feel ready? Where are you keeping yourself busy instead of taking real action? Keep it simple. One step. Then follow through. If you're ready to stop overthinking and start doing, there's a free session available: Finish What Actually Grows Your Business This session will help strip everything back and focus on what actually matters and how to follow through on it. Episode 112: Business Without The Money Pressure
This episode explores why business has become so serious and how focusing only on money might be the exact thing holding people back from starting, continuing, or enjoying what they're building. There's a strong pull online toward fast results, revenue goals, and constant growth, but that pressure often creates tension, overthinking, and disconnection from the actual work. Instead, this conversation brings it back to basics: business as experimentation, curiosity, and movement. Not ignoring money, but not letting it control every decision, especially in the early stages. The key shift is simple…stop asking “Will this make money?” and start asking “Am I willing to do this long enough to find out?” Because the people who build something meaningful aren't the ones who waited to get it right, they're the ones who kept moving, testing, and adjusting along the way. Optional Homework: Take a few minutes with these: If money wasn't part of the equation right now… what would you be doing? What would you try, test, or explore just out of curiosity? Are you building something you actually want to be doing in 5 years? Are you avoiding action because you're trying to “get it right”? Then choose one small action you'd take if the pressure was removed—and do that. If this way of thinking resonates, the next step is simple, get around more of it. Join the free webinar: Finish What Actually Grows Your Business (April 8th 7 PM AEST)https://webinar.pruesulicich.com.au/april2026 This is where you'll take these ideas and actually apply them so you can stop starting and stopping and start building something that works and feels good. Episode 111: Whose Opinion Are You Living By?
This episode explores the subtle way we let other people's opinions shape our decisions… without even realising it. It starts with a real-life moment, noticing how the opinions of others (even our own kids) can make us hesitate, second-guess, and hold back. Not because they're right… but because we've given their opinion more weight than our own. This conversation is a reminder that experience matters. You've lived, learned, and handled more than you give yourself credit for. And at some point, you have to stop looking sideways for approval…and start backing yourself. Because when you shape your life around what others think is “right”…you don't create anything meaningful, you just play it safe. And safe doesn't change your life. Support Follow-up Questions: For the next week, start noticing where you're holding yourself back because of someone else's opinion. Keep it simple: Catch it: “Whose opinion am I thinking about right now?” Check it: “Have they actually lived the kind of life I'm trying to create?” Choose anyway: Say it, post it, share it, try it — even if it feels uncomfortable. Do this with awareness, not judgement. If this episode resonated, share it with someone who needs to hear it. And if you're ready to stop overthinking and start following through on what actually matters, come and join me inside The Finishers Club. This is where you learn how to back yourself, take action, and finish what you start — without the drama. Episode 110 Chapter Check: The next big thing
The Chapters of Your Life (and the One You're About to Write) Looking back through old photo albums can reveal something surprising: life naturally unfolds in chapters. Some chapters are filled with adventure and discovery, others with responsibility, growth, and building a life for the people we love. The challenge is that while we're living inside a chapter, we often assume it will stay the same forever. This episode explores the idea that life is meant to evolve. Through personal reflection sparked by sorting through decades of photos, this conversation looks at how easily people settle into roles, routines, and identities that once made sense but may no longer fit the person they are becoming. The episode introduces a simple reflective tool called a Chapter Check. It's a way to pause and ask whether current decisions are being made for the life that exists today, or for the life that is quietly calling next. Growth does not always require dramatic change. Often it begins with awareness. Recognising the chapter you are in, and giving yourself permission to imagine the next one, can open the door to more freedom, creativity, and enjoyment in life. Life moves. People grow. And sometimes the most important step is simply acknowledging that a new chapter may be ready to begin. Homework: Do a “Chapter Check” Take some time this week to reflect on the different chapters of your life. You may like to write them down as titles, just like a book. Examples might look like: The adventure years The building years The young family years The survival years The reinvention years Once you've mapped out your chapters, ask yourself a few questions: 1. What chapter of life am I currently in?Give it a name that honestly reflects this period. 2. Does this chapter still feel alive and expanding?Or does it feel like it may be coming to a natural close? 3. Is there something quietly calling me into the next chapter?A new experience, a new direction, or something you've been wanting to explore. 4. If I were already living that next chapter, what decisions might I start making differently? This is the essence of a Chapter Check. It's a pause to ensure the decisions you make today support the life you are growing into, not just the life you have been living. Episode 109: Do You Have a Negative Attitude?
Negativity does not come from circumstances. It comes from the brain. This episode explores how subtle, everyday negativity often goes unnoticed because it feels like “being realistic” or “just telling it how it is.” Many people believe their frustration, disappointment, or resentment is caused by external factors; a partner, a job, a body, a season of life. But the quality of life is shaped far more by attitude than by circumstance. Attitude is simply a collection of thoughts. Those thoughts create emotional baselines. When negativity runs unchecked, it can quietly become the default setting, influencing relationships, confidence, health, and results. This episode introduces a simple 24-hour attitude audit: Notice the first thought when something goes wrong. Notice the first thought when someone disagrees. Notice the first thought when looking in the mirror. Notice the first thought when thinking about goals. Is it generous or harsh? Curious or judgmental? Possibility-focused or limiting? The goal is not forced positivity. It is awareness. When thoughts are written down, patterns become visible. And once a thought can be seen, it can be questioned, softened, or replaced. Same circumstances. Different thinking. Completely different experience of life. Episode 106: Not all drama is bad. Here is the right kind.
You don't need a perfect plan. You need the right kind of discomfort. In this week's audio recap of the vlog, I'm sharing a mindset shift I never thought I'd say out loud: not all drama is bad. In fact, a little bit of chaos might be exactly what you need to grow. Launching the vlog pushed me out of my comfort zone, and trust me, it was messy. But it also gave me clarity. There's a difference between the drama that drains you… and the drama that stretches you. This episode is a reminder that some goals come wrapped in discomfort but if it's the right kind, it'll make you proud of how you grow, not just what you achieve. Whether you're starting something new or second-guessing your next step, this 10-minute episode is your sign to keep going. In this episode: Why not all discomfort is bad and how to tell the difference The kind of “drama” that's actually useful What resistance really means (and when to listen to it) A behind-the-scenes moment from launching the vlog How to grow without stomping over yourself or others along the way The post-it note on my wall that's changing everything Links mentioned: Watch the full vlog on YouTube: Click here to watch Ready to change? Episode 105- Guilt is more exhausting than effort
Ever found yourself stuck in the space between “I should do it” and “I don't want to”? That middle ground where you're not working, but not truly resting either is where guilt festers. And it's more exhausting than just doing the damn thing. In this episode, I share a personal story from a recent weekend where I thought I was resting, but really, I was drowning in guilt. I break down what's actually going on when we delay action, why indecision is so draining, and how to use tools like the Dread Sprint and The Gritty Minute to get unstuck and feel more like yourself again. You'll learn: Why rest without peace isn't rest, it's self-abandonment How to spot the energy drain of indecision What a “dread sprint” is (and why it works) The power of starting with just one gritty minute Why your identity, not your schedule is what drives follow-through Simple thought shifts to rebuild your self-trustThis one is mindset gold. If you've ever said, “I don't have time,” but secretly feel more tired not doing the thing… you're going to feel seen. Time for action: Want help turning guilt into action? Episode 104: 90 Seconds of Discomfort v's A Life You Actually Want
You're not lazy. You're not unmotivated. And you definitely don't need another productivity hack that adds to your load. If you're struggling to follow through, the real reason might be simpler and deeper than you think: You're avoiding an emotion. In this episode, I break down the truth most people never realise: it's not the task that's hard, it's the feeling it brings up. And that discomfort? It usually only lasts about 90 seconds. But most people let it stop them for 90 days… or 90 months. What We Cover: - The surprising reason you're avoiding your goals- Why emotions, not laziness are the real blocker- The science behind the 90-second emotional cycle- How to feel a feeling and still take action- Why “avoiding discomfort” costs you way more than feeling it ever will This Is For You If You've Ever Said: “I don't feel like it.” “I'll do it later.” “I just need to get in the right headspace.” It's not about headspace. It's about learning how to sit with a feeling, and keep moving anyway. Powerful Thought to Take With You: “I can feel anything for 90 seconds” Want Support? Episode 103: You Don’t Need to Fix Yourself to Build a Better Life
Have you ever found yourself doing more personal development… only to feel worse? You're journaling, unpacking, “doing the work”, but instead of feeling clearer, you feel stuck in a spiral of self-analysis. Sound familiar? In this episode, I talk about the trap that so many high-achievers fall into: thinking personal growth is about fixing yourself, healing everything, or figuring it all out before you're allowed to move forward. But that's not it. Personal development is about direction, not perfection. This one's real, reflective, and full of clarity if you've been spinning in your own mind. What We Cover: Why personal growth can feel heavier the more you do it How “waiting until you've healed” can actually keep you stuck The difference between healing and progressing Why decisions move you forward faster than insight ever could What to focus on instead when you're caught in a fix-it spiral Key Takeaways: ✅ You are not a project ✅ You don't need to be fully healed to build something new ✅ Personal growth is meant to support your life, not overtake it ✅ Decisions, not breakthroughs, are what create momentum Listen To This If You've Been Thinking: “I've done so much work on myself… why am I still stuck?” “There must be something else wrong with me I haven't uncovered yet.” “I can't move forward until I figure this out.” Want Support? Neutral Isn't Negative: How to Stop Overthinking Other People's Expressions Ever walked past someone who didn't smile, and thought, “Are they mad at me?” Or seen someone with a blank face in a meeting and assumed they hated your idea? You're not alone and you're not broken. Episode 99- Decision Fatigue vs. Decision Authority: How to Follow Through on Your Goals
Did you know that 92% of people don't achieve the goals they set? That stat can feel discouraging, until you understand why it happens. In this episode, I'm diving into a game-changing mindset shift: the difference between decision fatigue (constantly rethinking your goals) and decision authority (committing and following through). If you've ever found yourself starting strong and then slipping into excuses, overthinking, or “maybe this isn't the right time,” this episode is your wake-up call. What We Cover: The biggest reason most goals fail (hint: it's not lack of motivation) What decision fatigue looks like in real life Why your brain tries to talk you out of things you've already committed to How to choose grounded commitment over emotional storytelling What it really takes to follow through on the things that matter Key Takeaways: ✅ “I've already decided. Now it's time to follow through.” ✅ Your goals don't require perfection, they require consistency ✅ Quitting often sounds wise but is usually fear dressed up in logic ✅ Your brain will always offer you a way out… you don't have to take it Actionable Insight: Start catching the moment where you want to quit or “pause” your goal. Episode 98- Why Fixing Other People Creates More Drama (And What to Do Instead)
Ever find yourself thinking, “If they'd just do this, their life would be so much better…” We've all done it, whether it's about our partner, our kids, our friends, or a stranger on Instagram. But here's the truth: trying to fix someone else's life (even with good intentions) creates unnecessary drama, drains your energy, and distracts you from your own growth. In this episode, we're unpacking how to shift from fixing others to focusing on yourself and how this one change can create more calm, more clarity, and a whole lot less drama. What We Cover: Why offering advice without consent rarely lands well The sneaky ways “helping” turns into controlling How trying to change others is often a distraction from your own life Why awareness is always the first step to change How to let go of gossip, judgment, and unsolicited “fixing” energy Key Takeaways: ✅ You're not bad for wanting to help, but unsolicited advice rarely helps ✅ Trying to control others distracts you from your own growth ✅ Peace comes from focusing on what's in your control…you ✅ Self-responsibility > judgment, every time Actionable Insight: The next time you feel the urge to “help” someone who hasn't asked for it, pause. Ask: Am I offering advice, or am I trying to fix? Then turn the mirror around: What can I learn from this moment about myself? Episode 96- From Perfection to Progress: Navigating Real Life Challenges
Have you ever said, “Life just got in the way”? You had great intentions, a solid plan… and then a sick kid, a messy schedule, or your own exhaustion kicked in. Suddenly, you're behind again and feeling like a failure. This week's episode is your reminder that your goals and your life aren't separate. Your life is not the problem, it's the environment in which your goals will be achieved. I'm breaking down why this phrase is secretly stealing your power, how to reframe it, and how to move forward without needing perfect conditions. What We Cover: Why “life got in the way” is a sneaky excuse that disconnects you from your goals How to reframe the phrase to keep your power and momentum My own recent example of how I caught myself saying this, and shifted gears Tangible strategies to adjust, recommit, and follow through (even when life gets messy) Key Takeaways: ✅ You don't need a perfect week to make progress ✅ Your goals must fit within your life, not outside of it ✅ You are allowed to adjust the plan without abandoning it Try These Practices: Catch the phrase when you say, “life got in the way.” Tell yourself the truth about what happened and recommit. Adjust instead of abandon- ask: What's the smallest step I can take today? Decide again - choose your goal with grounded commitment. An Invitation: If you're tired of stopping and starting, and want to learn how to keep going no matter what life throws at you… Grab these two free resources: 1. What happens when you stop spending money on non-essentials for 90 days? In this episode, I share my honest evaluation of my 3-month no spend challenge...what worked, what didn't, and how it changed me (for the better). If you've ever wanted to feel more in control of your money, your emotions, or your home environment, this episode will inspire you to try your own version of a no-spend goal. It's not about deprivation, it's about intentionality, clarity, and self-trust. What We Cover: • Why I set a “no spend” goal and it had nothing to do with scarcity • The surprising benefits (like more mental space and self-trust) • How I handled temptation and desire • What I actually bought and why I don't regret it • Tips to set up your own no spend challenge Key Takeaways: • Simplicity = freedom • The fewer decisions you make about stuff, the more energy you have for what matters • You can feel desire without always acting on it • The real power is in keeping promises to yourself My System: • One goal: No spending on non-essentials for 3 months • Daily tracking using a simple spreadsheet • Clear boundaries around what “essential” meant to me • A powerful evaluation process: What worked, what didn't, and what I'd do differently An Invitation: Ready to build better habits, improve your self-trust, and follow through on your goals with less overwhelm? Episode 94- How to Handle Opinions & Stay Focused on Your Goals
Ever had an unsolicited opinion throw you off track? You're working toward a goal, making progress, and then - boom - someone shares their thoughts, and suddenly, you're questioning everything. This episode is your reminder: your opinion of yourself matters more than anyone else's. I'm diving into how to recognise the difference between constructive feedback and unhelpful noise, plus giving you thoughts to think on purpose when others' opinions start creeping in. What We Cover: 1️⃣ How opinions (solicited or not) can derail you • Why people love to share their thoughts, even when they're not helpful • How projection plays a role in negative feedback 2️⃣ Feedback vs. Noise: What's Worth Listening To? • Signs of constructive feedback that helps you grow • How to filter out unhelpful opinions and stay focused 3️⃣ The Power of Your Own Thoughts • Why your self-perception is the only thing that matters • How to decide ahead of time what to think about yourself 4️⃣ Thoughts to Think on Purpose: I am someone who does not abandon myself for the approval of someone else. My opinion of myself matters more than anyone else's opinion of me. (If my opinion of myself is negative, that's what I need to work on changing.) I can decide ahead of time what to think about myself no matter what outcome happens for this goal I am pursuing. They are allowed to be wrong about me. This feeling is just a set of sensations in my body and I can handle it. My worth is not the stock market. It can't go up and down just based on thoughts in other people's brains. (Credit: Kara Loewentheil) What I think about me is more important than what others think about me. Key Takeaways: ✅ You don't owe anyone an explanation for your goals. ✅ Constructive feedback offers solutions; unhelpful opinions do not. ✅ People's opinions of you say more about them than they do about you. Actionable Insight: Next time you receive an opinion that makes you doubt yourself, pause. Ask: Does this help me move forward? If not, let it go and refocus on your goal. A Warm Invitation: If you struggle with follow-through because of doubt or external noise, my free First Step to Success course is for you. Episode 93- The Power Of Small Steps For A Beautiful Life
What if I told you that the biggest successes in life don't come from massive leaps, but from small, consistent steps? That's the message I took away from a powerful International Women's Day event, and it's what I'm sharing with you in this episode. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by big goals or stuck in the start-stop cycle, this episode will remind you that every small action matters. What We Cover: 1️⃣ Why small steps matter more than big moves •“Small hinges open big doors.” •The secret behind people who follow through on big dreams. 2️⃣ Lessons from a woman who ran 150 marathons •She didn't focus on the full journey—just the next stop. •How breaking your goal into tiny, manageable steps makes all the difference. 3️⃣ How to take your next best step TODAY •You don't need to change everything overnight. •One small thing today can lead to a completely different life tomorrow. Key Takeaways: ✅ You don't have to be 10 steps ahead—just one step ahead of self-doubt. ✅ The life you want is built on small, repeated actions—not one massive move. ✅ Don't get lost in the big picture—focus on the next step in front of you. Actionable Insight: What's one small action you can take today that moves you closer to your dream? Maybe it's a 10-minute walk, making a healthy meal, or tackling that one thing you've been putting off. Start small, and watch how things change. Episode 92- Dealing with Negative Comments: How to Stay Focused and Follow Through
Have you ever started something new, whether a goal, a career shift, or personal growth, only to be met with subtle (or not-so-subtle) comments from people around you? Doubt, guilt, and comparison can creep in, making you second-guess yourself. This episode is here to remind you: you don't need permission to go after what you want. Today, we're talking about the comments that stop you in your tracks and how to move forward anyway. I'll walk you through five common types of comments people make (often unintentionally) that plant seeds of doubt and keep you stuck. What We Cover: 1. The Subtle Dream-Killer Comments: - “Are you sure that's a good idea?” - “That sounds like a lot of work… Do you really have time for that?” - “Most people don't actually follow through with that kind of thing.” - “I mean, if it was that easy, wouldn't everyone be doing it?” - “I just don't want to see you get disappointed.” - “You're always starting something new… what makes this different?” These comments aren't outright mean, but they cast doubt. They make you pause, hesitate, and second-guess yourself. 2. The “I Know You Better Than You Know Yourself” Comments: - “That's just not really you though, is it?” - “You've never been good at sticking with things.” - “I mean, you always get excited about new things, but let's be real…” - “I just don't think this is your thing.” - “You're not really the type of person who does that.” And suddenly, you start wondering… are they right? Do they see something in me that I don't? 3. The “I'm Just Being Realistic” Comments: - “Not trying to be negative, but…” - “You need to be realistic. Life doesn't work like that.” - “You should probably focus on something safer.” - “You don't want to embarrass yourself, do you?” - “Most people who try that fail.” - “I just don't want to see you waste your time.” These sound like “helpful” advice, but really, they're just dressed-up fear. Often, it's their own limiting beliefs they're trying to project onto you. 4. The Subtle Comparison Comments: - “Oh, my friend tried that and it didn't work for her.” - “I know someone who did that, but they had way more experience.” - “That's great, but don't expect too much.” - “It's just really competitive—you'd have to be really good.” Comparison plants the seed that maybe you're not “good enough” or “experienced enough.” But what they don't realise? You don't need permission from someone else's experience to go for what you want! 5. The Guilt-Tripping Comments: - “You've been spending a lot of time on that… don't forget about us.” - “You're so busy these days—remember when you used to have time for [insert guilt here]?” - “Must be nice to be able to do that, some of us don't have the luxury.” - “I wish I had time to do things like that.” - “You're lucky you get to focus on yourself.” This one hits hard because it taps into your guilt. And before you know it, you're putting yourself last again to make sure everyone else is happy. Key Takeaways: - People's comments come from their own fears, not your reality. - You get to decide how you react and whether you stop or keep going. - The more you grow, the more comments you'll receive—so be prepared! Actionable Insight: Write down one or two comments that have made you doubt yourself in the past. How did they impact your actions? How would you like to respond differently next time? An Invitation: I don't want these comments to stop you from **following through on what matters.** That's why I'm hosting a free Masterclass: Follow Through on What Matters—Even When You Feel Unmotivated Three live sessions next week Exclusive bonus for live attendees! Episode 85- REPLAY EPISODE: Validation Detox
This is a valuable replay of Episode 4- Have Your Own Back. Eveything Else Is A Bonus External validation can feel good in the moment, but when we rely on it for our self-worth, it creates frustration, resentment, and emotional suffering. In this episode, I introduce the concept of a Validation Detox—a process to stop seeking external approval and start building the self-love and empowerment you deserve. Why we often give away the responsibility for our worth to others. 2.How External Validation Shows Up in Your Life: Common behaviors like overachieving for praise, difficulty setting boundaries, or constant comparison to others. Everyday examples, from posting on social media to seeking compliments for reassurance. 3.The Validation Detox Process: Step 1: Awareness—identify where you're seeking external validation in your life. Step 2: Interrupt—pause the habitual behaviors that seek validation from others. Step 3: Validate Yourself—practice self-affirmation with thoughts that empower you. 4.The Byproduct of Self-Validation: How validating yourself leads to self-love, empowerment, and unshakable confidence. Why external validation becomes a bonus instead of a necessity. Key Takeaways: Your worth isn't determined by others—it's a decision you make about yourself. Interrupting validation-seeking behaviors is hard, but it's the first step to empowerment. Self-validation is the foundation of a life filled with love and less drama. Episode 79- Feel Your Emotions
Feel Your Emotions Hi, beautiful friends! This week on More Life, Less Drama, we're diving deep into something we all experience but often try to avoid—our emotions. If you've been feeling a lot lately, this episode is for you. In this heartfelt episode, I'm addressing the questions I hear so often: Why do I feel like this? Why can't I move on? Why can't I just reframe my feelings and do something different? Here's the truth: emotions are part of the human experience. Life is about feeling the full spectrum, from joy and bliss to hurt and frustration. It's not about avoiding these feelings but learning how to process them in a way that serves you. Key Takeaways: You can't avoid feeling emotions: Positive emotions fade, and so do negative ones, but only when we allow ourselves to feel them fully. What you do with your emotions is in your control: Instead of suppressing or avoiding emotions, try processing them—sit with them, acknowledge them, and let them pass through you. The power of breaking the cycle of emotional stacking: Negative emotions can pile up, creating a heavy stack that feels overwhelming. By sitting with one emotion at a time, you can break this cycle and avoid spiralling into anger or frustration. The practice of emotional awareness: Notice your physical reactions and give yourself grace. Growth comes when you can hold space for discomfort and work through it. Actionable Exercise: Ask yourself these two questions: How do I feel right now? How do I want to feel? Then, choose an emotion you want to experience and practice shifting your focus to thoughts and actions that align with it. Final Thoughts: This week's episode is like a warm hug for your heart. It's an invitation to embrace where you are, feel your emotions deeply, and move forward with grace and compassion for yourself. Let's normalise processing emotions instead of rushing past them. If this episode resonated with you, I would love it if you left a review on your podcast app. Your feedback helps more people discover the show and join this journey. Episode 71- You Know Enough
In Episode 71 of the *More Life, Less Drama* podcast, Prue dives into the powerful concept that you already know enough to take the first step toward your goals. So often, we hold ourselves back, waiting until we feel fully prepared or confident, but the truth is—no one ever feels 100% ready. Prue challenges listeners to rethink this mindset and gives practical advice for moving forward even when fear and doubt are present. Key Takeaways: - You Already Know Enough: Prue opens the episode by emphasising that the only thing you truly need to know is how to start. Waiting until you're fully prepared will only delay progress. She encourages listeners to take action, despite any uncertainty. - The 10 Common Reasons We Delay: 1. Fear of failure 2. Perfectionism 3. Overwhelm 4. Lack of clarity 5. Comparison to others 6. Fear of success 7. Procrastination habits 8. Comfort with the status quo 9. External opinions 10. Low self-confidence Prue breaks down each of these reasons, explaining how they manifest in our lives and stop us from taking action. - It's Okay Not to Know Everything: Perfectionism and the fear of not knowing enough can keep us stuck. Prue shares the powerful reminder that no one is ever fully prepared for anything—what matters is starting. - The Fear of Embarrassment: One of the biggest barriers is the fear of being embarrassed. Prue discusses how this fear can lead us to over-prepare and avoid taking action altogether. She offers a perspective shift: embarrassment is just a feeling, and feelings won't harm you. Moving through discomfort is essential for growth. Exercise: The Proof Jar Method Prue introduces a simple yet effective exercise to help listeners start taking action immediately: 1. Write down one thing you've been putting off because you don't feel like you know enough. 2. Break it into a small first step that you can take today with the information you already have. 3. Each day, take a small step and record it somewhere visible—this could be in a "Proof Jar," where you accumulate evidence that you're moving forward. 4. At the end of the week, look back at all the steps you've taken and celebrate your progress. This exercise helps build momentum and shows that you don't need to know everything to start—you just need to take that first step. Join The Finishers Club At the end of the episode, Prue invites listeners to join The Finishers Club, where she offers support and structure for those ready to take action on their goals. Inside the club, Prue guides members through small, manageable steps to build confidence and achieve intentional, meaningful results.
