Get Quiet (But Make It Active): Healing Your Nervous System in Midlife (Bonus Meditation) w/Elaine Glass

Feeling burnt out? Like you are just "should-ing" all over yourself? In this episode, Elaine Glass returns to the podcast to blow up the myth that meditation has to be still and silent. She introduces the Nemus Code, an energy medicine modality born from a dream and a 20-year career in healthcare. Elaine shares how she healed from burnout and Hashimoto's as a single mom by learning to actively get quiet. We discuss why you can't move forward until your nervous system feels safe, how to tell the difference between fear and intuition, and why those "random" obsessions (like pattern-making or art) are actually your soul guiding you home. What You’ll Learn: 00:05 Why "Get Quiet" is actually a walking meditation (not just sitting still). 05:15 The science of why you can't heal until your body feels safe. 12:40 How to stop the "hustle mentality" in your 50s and tune into your body. 18:30 The origin story of the Nemus Code (and the dream that started it all). 25:00 The 8 energy points to unlock your own inner guru (Guided practice inside). 32:00 Why following a short-lived obsession (like Etsy silver sets) is vital for your health. How Grief Became a Widow’s Greatest Creative Collaboration (with Ksenia J. Merck)

What happens when the person you love most leaves, and leaves behind an unfinished story? For Ksenia J. Merck, the answer wasn't to pack away her husband's manuscript. It was to pick up her paintbrush. In this episode, Ksenia opens up about losing her husband Bill in March 2024, and how finishing his science fiction novel Ghost Flower became her lifeline. She painted the cover. She illustrated the interior. She wrote a companion journal. And along the way, she discovered that grief can be a doorway into something unexpected: collaboration that doesn't end when a heartbeat does. If you've ever lost someone and wondered if they're still with you, or if you're sitting on a creative project that feels too painful to touch, this conversation is for you. What You'll Learn 🎨 How Ksenia felt Bill's presence while painting the Ghost Flower cover, and why she knows it wasn't just imagination 📖 What the Ghost Flower Companion Journal is (and how it helps readers go deeper into the novel's themes) ⏳ The book's central question: Would you time travel to save humanity knowing you couldn't come back? 🧠 Why purpose might be the most underrated tool for navigating grief 🌿 How nature, art, and solitude helped Ksenia rebuild after loss ✨ The concept of "soul contracts" and why Ksenia believes this project was always meant for her 🎭 The difference between structured architectural work and free creative expression—and why she needs both Resources & Links 🌐 Ksenia's Website: https://www.merckiipress.com/ 📸 Instagram: @merck2press 💼 LinkedIn: Ksenia Merck 📘 Facebook: Merck2Press 🙏 Thank you for tuning in to the Soul Aligned Self Care Podcast! ✨ If you loved this episode, please: Subscribe to the show so you never miss an episode Share it with a friend who needs this message If you’re listening on Apple Podcasts, leave a quick review to help this show reach more amazing women like you 💜 🔗 Connect with me here:🌐 Website: https://www.tinastinson.com📌 Patreon (support the podcast & receive exclusive practices + monthly resets): https://www.patreon.com/tinastinson🎁 Freebie: The Self Healing Toolkit - stop burnout, stress, and overwhelm in their tracks & start to regulate your nervous system: https://www.tinastinson.com/signup📺 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@SASCTinaStinson

Why Talk Therapy Isn't Enough: Somatic Healing & Moving Emotions Through the Body with Chelsea Horton

You can't think your way out of a feeling your body is holding. In this episode, Tina sits down with Chelsea Horton, board-certified dance and movement therapist, somatic practitioner, and founder of Healing Embodied, to explore why traditional talk therapy often falls short, how the body holds our unprocessed emotions, and what actually works when you're stuck in anxiety, shame, or burnout. Chelsea shares her own journey from growing up with religious trauma and shame to discovering dance therapy, and how that led her to build a business that prioritizes her nervous system over hustle culture. She breaks down the science of why your rational brain goes offline when you're triggered, what "emotional constipation" really means, and how even the most disconnected person can begin to build a relationship with their body. If you've ever felt like you're "too much in your head," this conversation will change how you think about healing. In This Episode, You'll Learn: 🧠 The Hand Model of the Brain – Why your rational brain goes offline when you're triggered (and why you can't logic your way out of anxiety) 💩 What "Emotional Constipation" Actually Means – How we block emotions from moving through us—and how to unblock them 🩰 Why Dance Therapy Works – The difference between functional movement and expressive movement (and why both matter) 🔥 How Chelsea Burned Out in Community Mental Health – And how she built a business rooted in humanity over hustle 🛡️ Why Some Somatic Practices Feel Scary – And how to start with neutral sensation if going inward feels unsafe 🎭 The Connection Between Shame, Religious Trauma, and the Body – And how to begin releasing what was never yours to carry 🌿 Simple Somatic Practices You Can Do Today – Even if you've never felt safe in your body Key Takeaways 🔹 Your rational brain and your emotional body speak different languages. Talk therapy speaks to your prefrontal cortex. But when you're triggered, that part of your brain goes offline. To reach the emotional center, you have to speak through the nervous system, using sensation, movement, and breath. 🔹 Most of us are emotionally constipated. We feel an emotion, then our minds get in the way, analyzing, judging, shaming, avoiding. Our bodies are wired to process emotional energy naturally, just like they digest food. But our thinking gets in the way. 🔹 You don't have to be a dancer to benefit from dance therapy. It's not about looking pretty or having technique. It's about letting your body move the way it wants to move, channeling grief, anger, or fear into authentic expression. 🔹 Somatic work isn't one-size-fits-all. For someone who's highly dissociated, jumping straight into deep body awareness can feel terrifying. Start with neutral sensation, the weight of a water glass, the sound of your hands rubbing together, and build capacity from there. 🔹 Healing changes your brain. Chelsea's brain literally operated differently after two years of applying somatic work to herself. Less shame, less overthinking, less black-and-white thinking. The brain is plastic. It can rewire. 🔹 You can't pour from an empty cup, especially as a healer. Chelsea set her business up around her actual nervous system capacity. She works fewer hours, charges what feels good, and structures her day around seasons and energy. That's not selfish. That's sustainable. Shamanic Soul Retrieval: How to Call Back Lost Parts of Yourself with Lisa Biritz

Have you ever felt like a part of you is missing? Like you're running on autopilot, exhausted even though you're doing all the "right" things? In this episode, I sit down with Lisa Biritz, shamanic practitioner, teacher, and author of Shamanic Soul Retrieval, to explore one of the oldest known healing systems on Earth. Lisa shares how soul loss happens (often through trauma, surgery, heartbreak, or simply overwhelming life events) and how we can call those lost parts of ourselves back home. We dive into: What shamanism actually is, and why the same techniques appear across cultures worldwide The connection between soul loss and modern-day burnout, anxiety, and dissociation How to identify if a part of your soul has left you (and what that feels like in daily life) A step-by-step look at the soul retrieval process, and why some healing is best done with a guide Why nature is essential to shamanic practice (and what happens when we disconnect) Lisa's journey from journalism to shamanism, spanning Hawaii, Africa, and Europe Past lives, parallel dimensions, and why what matters most is how it affects you today If you've ever felt like you're carrying something that isn't yours, or that your light has dimmed without explanation, this episode is an invitation to come back to yourself. In This Episode, You'll Learn: 🧬 What shamanism is and why it's considered the oldest human healing system 🌍 How the same shamanic techniques appear across cultures, from Hawaii to North America to the Celtic tradition 💔 What "soul loss" actually means and how it shows up in modern life 🕯️ The difference between soul loss and dissociation (and why they're connected) 🌀 How to do a simple soul retrieval meditation for yourself 🛡️ Why you need protection when calling soul parts back (and what can go wrong if you don't) 🌿 The connection between soul retrieval and nature—including how to do it for a place or land 👵 Why the students you teach are a reflection of your own healing ✨ What regression training is and how past lives affect your present reality ⏳ A thoughtful exploration of time, parallel dimensions, and why the "how it affects you" matters more than the metaphysics Key Takeaways: 🔹 Soul loss is real, and it happens more than we realize. Any traumatic experience, surgery, divorce, abuse, an accident, or even a painful childhood moment, can cause a part of your soul energy to leave your body. In psychology, this is called dissociation. In shamanism, it's soul loss. 🔹 You can call those parts back. Soul retrieval is the practice of bringing home the parts of yourself that left to survive. It's like psychological hygiene, something we should be doing regularly, like going to the dentist or brushing our teeth. 🔹 Intrusion energies fill the holes. When soul parts leave, it creates openings. Other energies (not necessarily "bad," just not meant for you) can enter. Clearing these is part of the healing process. 🔹 Soul retrieval is best done with a guide for deep trauma. For smaller, everyday losses, you can practice on your own. But for the "root canal" level issues, having someone trained to hold space and protect the process makes all the difference. 🔹 Nature is essential to shamanic practice. We are part of nature. When we disconnect from the earth, we disconnect from ourselves. Lisa shares how even places can experience soul loss and how we can help heal them, too. 🔹 The path is your own. There is no one "right" way to do this work. Trust your instincts. Find a teacher you resonate with. The circle is more important than the master. When the Body Stops Whispering: Healing Endometriosis, Anxiety & Generational Trauma with Dr. Jennifer Schlueter

What if your chronic pain, anxiety, or exhaustion isn't random, but is actually your body finally telling a story that's been waiting to be heard? In this episode, Tina sits down with Dr. Jennifer Schlueter, trauma-informed hypnotherapist, EFT and NLP practitioner, breathwork facilitator, and author of a doctoral thesis on healing endometriosis from the inside out. Jennifer shares her own journey from high-achieving burnout to discovering the healing power of hypnotherapy, and how that led her to develop a three-session process that has helped women release chronic pain, get pregnant, and break free from generational trauma. Together, they explore: Why trauma gets stored in the body, and specifically in the womb How ancestral patterns from our maternal line shape our physical health The difference between hypnotherapy, EFT, and holotropic breathwork Why high-achieving women are particularly vulnerable to chronic illness How to release anger, grief, and suppressed emotion in safe, effective ways The free hypnosis where you can ask three questions to a deceased loved one If you've ever felt like your body is carrying something that belongs to someone else—this episode is for you. In This Episode, You'll Learn: 🧬 How trauma gets passed down through generations – and why it often lives in the womb 🌬️ What holotropic breathwork actually does – and why it releases DMT, connecting you to source 💔 Why endometriosis disproportionately affects high-achieving women – the subconscious patterns behind the symptoms 👵 How to identify if your physical pain is ancestral – and what to do about it ✋ A better way to do EFT – the tapping practice that actually works when nothing else does 🧠 Why hypnotherapy goes where talk therapy can't – accessing the subconscious root of the pattern 🌍 Jennifer's vision for retreats in South Africa and Egypt – and why she chose to settle in Africa Key Takeaways 🔹 Trauma doesn't disappear, it gets stored. If we don't release emotions like anger, grief, and shame, they get stored in our tissues. The womb, specifically, is where women hold sexual trauma, betrayal, and the weight of being silenced across generations. 🔹 Ancestral patterns are real. In Jennifer's work, the root cause of chronic pain and illness is most often found in the maternal line, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, women we may never have met whose unprocessed emotions live on in our bodies. 🔹 The three-session process works. Session 1: Hypnotherapy to find the root cause. Session 2: Holotropic breathwork to release. Session 3: Hypnosis to connect with your future healed self and receive guidance. 🔹 Anger needs a healthy outlet. We were never taught how to express anger safely. Jennifer recommends EFT, rage rooms, or even tapping while speaking every raw feeling aloud, no filtering, no masking. 🔹 High-achieving women over-function for a reason. The drive to do, to prove, to succeed is often a subconscious program running underneath, installed early, passed down, and kept alive until the body finally forces a stop. 🔹 You can talk to a deceased loved one. Jennifer created a free hypnosis where you can ask three questions to someone who has passed, a profound experience she shares on her website. From Chaos to Calm: How to Find Your Center Again (with Dr. Diane Dreher)

Feeling fractured? Like the world is pulling you in a million directions and you're just supposed to keep smiling? You’re not crazy. You’re just out of tune. In this episode, I sit down with positive psychology expert and author Dr. Diane Dreher to talk about why "fighting through it" is actually making things worse, and what to do instead. Diane shares the powerful lesson of the Boston Symphony, that before the music starts, every musician tunes their instrument. We need to do the same. Forget the expensive retreats and the complicated routines. We’re talking about the simple, free, and scientifically proven shifts you can make today to pull yourself back from the edge. In this episode, we dive into: The three-step "brain hack" to move out of fight-or-flight mode (it’s easier than you think). Why "micro-moments of connectivity" (waving at a neighbor, smiling at a barista) can actually lower your inflammation and boost your immune system. How to stop feeling guilty for taking care of yourself when the world is burning (spoiler: you can’t pour from an empty cup). The forgotten practice of awe, and how looking at a flower or a tree can shrink your problems down to size. Now  offering in place of this program that is not running at this time,    The Inner Sanctuary: A Guided Journey of Breath, Meditation & Journaling In This Episode, You'll Learn: ✅ The #1 sign your nervous system is dysregulated (that most women ignore) ✅ Why waking up at 3 a.m. is a cortisol red flag ✅ The difference between "normal stress" and something deeper ✅ How micro-moments of self-care rewire your brain (even 5 minutes a day) ✅ Why putting yourself first isn't selfish, it's survival ✅ The connection between unpaid labor, the patriarchy, and women's burnout ✅ What Tina wishes she'd known before her body gave out Key Takeaways 🔹 Exhaustion is not a badge of honor. The amount you do is not proof of your worthiness. You're worthy simply because you're here. 🔹 Balance is like riding a bicycle. It's not a destination you reach, it's a constant, conscious adjustment. You have to keep paying attention. 🔹 Your nervous system isn't broken. It can be reset with simple, consistent practices. Grounding, breathwork, and small daily rituals add up. 🔹 Women's unpaid labor upholds a system that doesn't serve us. If we're worn out and exhausted, we can't step into our power. It's by design. 🔹 Joy and ambition are not opposites. Rest is the fuel that keeps ambition alive without burning you out. 5 Signs Your Nervous System Needs a Reset Racing thoughts or mental fog – Can't turn your mind off OR can't focus at all. Memory feels like Swiss cheese. Poor sleep – Tossing, turning, or waking up at 3 a.m. with that jolt of anxiety (hello, high cortisol). Chronic fatigue – You wake up tired and feel like you're running a marathon all day, every day. Irritability or numbness – Snapping at loved ones OR feeling completely disconnected from your body and life. Physical symptoms – Tension headaches, tight shoulders, upset stomach, shallow breathing, or numbing out with wine, scrolling, or food. Discover how to form a Circle, set agreements, handle conflict with calm clarity, and create a support system designed to last for decades. It's time to turn your overwhelm and feminine rage into the foundation for a new, sustainable way of living. In This Episode, You'll Learn: The Core Principle: Why withdrawing dependence, not fighting, is the first step to real power. (18:10) Invite for Reliability: Who to invite (and who to avoid) based on consistency, not just personality. (19:45) Set Clear Intentions: How to name the purpose of the Circle from the start. (30:05) Handle Conflict the Matriarchal Way: Calm, direct, and focused on patterns, not apologies. (33:00) Scale by Replication: How to grow by splitting Circles, not letting them get too large. (34:40) Think in Decades: Future-oriented questions that solidify long-term commitment. (35:20) How to Invite Someone: A simple, scripted invitation to start the conversation. (36:00) The "Why Women?" Question: Tina's reasoning on why building matriarchal systems must start with women leading together. The 90-Second Reset: How to Unblock Your Intuition by Calming Your Nervous System

Have you ever wondered why you can’t hear your intuition over the noise of daily life? The answer lies in your nervous system. In this powerful episode, we explore how a state of constant stress, overwhelm, and survival mode, something host intimately understands from her decade as a single mom, completely blocks access to your inner wisdom. She shares her personal story of disconnection that led to a stroke at 39, revealing the critical link between self-neglect and a dysregulated body. This episode is more than a conversation; it’s an experiential guide. You’ll learn a simple, 90-second grounding practice to instantly hit the "brakes" on your fight-or-flight response and create space for your intuition’s quiet voice. We’ll dismantle the patriarchal conditioning that glorifies hustle over well-being and explore how reclaiming your intuitive power is a step toward building new, supportive systems based on collaboration and care. Key Topics Discussed: Why a dysregulated nervous system (the "gas pedal") silences your intuition. The societal conditioning that teaches us to override inner wisdom for logic and external approval. A step-by-step, 90-second nervous system reset practice for instant clarity. How to distinguish true intuitive "knowing" from the noise of anxiety and fear. The journey from survival-mode reactivity to empowered, self-led decision-making. Reclaiming feminine wisdom as a tool for personal and collective healing. Featured Practice: "The 90-Second Grounding Reset" A quick, accessible technique to: Anchor yourself physically. Regulate your breath to activate the "rest and digest" (parasympathetic) state. Listen for the quietest sound and check in with your body’s sensations. Honor the first intuitive hit or need that arises. Resilience Redefined: How to Use Emotions as Data & Stop Feeling Stuck - Dr. Ute Liersch

In this episode, we explore: Dr. Ute’s unconventional journey into psychology and what it taught her about human resilience. Deconstructing the myth of “positive vs. negative” emotions. Why anger, sadness, and fear are essential guides. What to do when you feel deeply stuck, and why “stuckness” itself is neutral data. The concept of “secondary suffering”: how we compound our pain by judging our own emotions. Making the “leap of faith” into big life changes without knowing the outcome. A grounded, practical approach for surviving (and finding meaning in) situations you can’t immediately escape. The real, engineering-based definition of resilience and why you must yield to pressure to become strong. Dr. Ute’s personal self-care practice for days when everything feels “bloody hard.” Key Quotes from Dr. Ute: “Emotions are nothing else than information on how we are evaluating life in this present moment.” “If you are refusing to yield under pressure, you’re going to break. Resilience is an active part you have to engage with.” “Sometimes the choices we have is between shit and a little less shit. And it’s still a choice.” “My self-care is acknowledging that part in me that is scared, that is sad… and saying, ‘Yeah, because it is bloody hard.’” Mentioned in this episode: Dr. Ute’s book: A Minimalist’s Guide to Becoming Resilient Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning The “Calm Authority Framework” Where to Find Dr. Ute Liersch: Dr Ute Written with our mental health in mind   Your Masterclass Instagram LinkedIn 🙏 Thank you for tuning in to the Soul Aligned Self Care Podcast! ✨ If you loved this episode, please: Subscribe to the show so you never miss an episode Share it with a friend who needs this message If you’re listening on Apple Podcasts, leave a quick review to help this show reach more amazing women like you 💜 🔗 Connect with me here:🌐 Website: https://www.tinastinson.com📌 Patreon (support the podcast & receive exclusive practices + monthly resets): https://www.patreon.com/tinastinson🎁 Freebie: The Self Healing Toolkit - stop burnout, stress, and overwhelm in their tracks & start to regulate your nervous system: https://www.tinastinson.com/signup📺 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@SASCTinaStinson🌿 Work with me more deeply: The Self Care Intensive - heal your nervous system, reset boundaries, body, mind, and soul, and step into your next phase of life with power: https://www.tinastinson.com/aligned-worthy-ps

The 3 Steps to Build Your Aligned New Year (From the Inside Out)

Feeling stuck but sensing a new chapter calling? In this final part of our year-end series, we move from reflection into creation. Host [Host Name] breaks down the three foundational pillars for building a life that feels truly aligned in the new year. We're ditching the failed resolution cycle and focusing on internal shifts that lead to external change. Discover why clarity is more about "who you're becoming" than rigid goals, learn why nervous system safety is the non-negotiable bedrock for lasting change, and unlock the power of "daily alignment" through simple, ritualistic check-ins. If you're ready to stop repeating old patterns and start building a new, authentic experience of life, this episode is your guide. Key Takeaways: Real change is an inside job. It doesn't happen because the calendar flips; it happens when you shift the internal stories about who you are and what you deserve. The 3 Pillars for an Aligned New Year: Clarity: Define the direction, not just the destination. Who is the version of you that chooses differently? How do you want to feel? Nervous System Support (Safety): Change cannot stick if your body doesn't feel safe. Prioritize grounding practices (meditation, breathwork, somatic movement) as daily maintenance, not just a fix. Daily Alignment: Implement small, consistent "anchors" or rituals that keep you connected to your truth and ensure your daily actions move you in your desired direction. Presence Over Productivity: Regular self-check-ins ("How am I feeling? What am I spending my time on?") are more powerful than any checklist. Alignment is a feeling, not just a task. Start Now, Start Small: You don't need a massive overhaul. The most profound shifts begin with tiny, sustainable baby steps integrated into your daily rhythm. Feeling Stuck? Why It's Your Secret Signal (And What To Do Next) | Part 1

Feeling stuck isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. It might be the most important signal you'll receive. In this heartfelt and relatable episode, Tina dives into the uncomfortable (but universal) experience of feeling stagnant, out of sync, and deeply ready for change, especially as the year ends. She shares her own raw experience of being in a major life transition (think: new era, new identity, and a big move!) and reveals the surprising reasons we often stay stuck longer than we need to. This isn't about New Year's resolutions; it's about understanding the soul-deep whisper that says, "Something has to shift." If you're tired of looping through the same patterns, tired of pretending, and tired of prioritizing a cramped comfort over your true aliveness, this conversation is for you. Consider it a compassionate guide to reframing your "stuckness" as necessary momentum and taking your first gentle step forward.   Journal Prompts Mentioned: What part of your life has felt “almost right” for too long? Where have you been settling because the alternative feels scary? If you had permission to start over, what’s the first thing you’d drop? Tiny Action Step: Do one thing differently this week. It doesn’t have to be related to any goal. Take a different route to work, try a new coffee shop, or rearrange a room. Small disruptions can create gentle momentum. Mentioned in the Episode: This is Part 1 of a 3-part series leading into a gentle year-end reset. Stay tuned for next week’s episode on taking slow, brave steps without blowing up your life. 🙏 Thank you for tuning in to the Soul Aligned Self Care Podcast!

Rekindling Your Light: Purpose, Service & The High Achiever’s Heart with Dr. Esther Zeledón

Ever feel like you’re thriving on the outside but dimming on the inside? You’re not alone. In this profound and personal episode, I sit down with Dr. Esther Zeledón, author, coach, and guide for “high achievers with a heart.” Together, they unpack why so many of us lose sight of our purpose, how societal noise and misaligned motivations leave us feeling stuck and exhausted, and the transformative power of returning to our true, childlike selves. Esther shares her own journey from people-pleasing and chasing the “American dream” to a life of aligned service and freedom. We explore practical tools like breathwork for community healing, a revolutionary “celebration calendar,” and how to identify your core motivator to move from survival to self-actualization. If you’re the person everyone leans on but are tired of suffering in silence, this conversation is your invitation to reclaim your light. Key Takeaways: Your Light Dims Early: The shift from a clear-visioned 7-year-old to a doubtful 10-year-old shows how early external approval and societal pressure begin to cloud our innate sense of purpose. Purpose is a Daily Practice, Not a Destination: It’s less about a single, massive legacy and more about how you solve problems and bring value to others every single day. Find Your Core Motivator: Lasting energy and alignment come from understanding what truly drives you (e.g., safety, love/belonging, growth, self-actualization). Mistaking your motivator is a primary cause of feeling lost and stagnant. The “High Achiever with a Heart” Archetype: Many changemakers are “over-givers” who suffer in silence, fearing being a burden. Creating confidential, judgment-free spaces (like breathwork circles) is crucial for their release and healing. Self-Care for Sustainers: Beyond bubble baths, resilience for caregivers requires boundary scripts, daily micro-celebrations of living your values, and learning the sacred, challenging art of receiving. In this episode, I’m diving into why fear is a natural companion to big decisions and how to work with it instead of letting it hold you back. We’ll cover: Why fear never really disappears and what it’s trying to tell you. How to take small, intentional steps to move forward even when you feel stuck. Journaling, visualization, and better questions to gain clarity and confidence. Why crowdsourcing advice often adds noise instead of clarity, and how to find the feedback that actually helps. Simple, practical ways to calm your nervous system so fear doesn’t take the wheel. By the end of this episode, you’ll have tools to move forward with fear riding shotgun, not in control, so you can step into your next chapter with more ease, courage, and clarity. Action Step: What’s one small step you can take this week toward the big decision that’s been sitting on your heart? Take it and notice the shift. In this episode, I’m diving into why community-based wellness is more important than ever for women. Stop Trying So Hard: Why Hustle Isn’t Helping and What to Do Instead with Carla Ondrasik

What if the real reason you feel stuck, scattered, or burned out isn’t because you’re not trying hard enough, but because you’re stuck in the cycle of trying? In this powerful and deeply refreshing conversation, I sit down with Carla Ondrasik, creative mentor, former music publishing exec, and author of the soon-to-be-released book Stop Trying - The Life-Transforming Power of Trying Less and Doing More.  On this episode we are talking about why we’ve been lied to about what it takes to succeed, and how to finally step off the hamster wheel of hustle. Carla spent years developing some of the biggest names in music (Barbra Streisand, Mariah Carey, Cher, Christina Aguilera), and now she’s teaching us how to ditch perfectionism, stop performing, and start living from a place of real, grounded power. We explore: Why “trying harder” often makes things worse, not better How to shift into action when your brain is stuck in overwhelm The neuroscience of habit, procrastination, and self-sabotage What it actually means to do less, but achieve more How to reclaim your time, your energy, and your life This one is for every soul who’s exhausted from performing and is ready to get back to truth, trust, and aligned doing. Ready to feel lighter and more aligned? Hit play, and let this be the conversation that gives you permission to stop trying, and start living. Throwback Thursday: Ways to Move Forward During Uncertain Times

This week's Throwback Thursday, Something I've only done once before, is the perfect thing to reflect on. Even though this came from a full Moon Practice I do believe this is the perfect time to do this reflection. I hope you enjoy this week's episode! Throwback Thursday:  Recently, I created some journal prompt for the Soul Aligned Self Care Insiders group on Patreon for the full moon and how empowering it was for me. It was so empowering that I want to share with you. These prompts have been incredibly powerful for me, helping me to delve deep into my feelings and intentions during some disruptive and uncertain times. Journaling has become a vital part of my self-care routine, allowing me to explore and release outdated societal expectations that no longer serve me. It's been a journey of embracing joy and learning to navigate life's disruptive changes with calm and intention. The energy shifts I've experienced have been profound, and having a supportive community has made all the difference. I encourage you to try journaling as a way to connect with yourself on a deeper level. It's a beautiful practice that can lead to greater alignment and self-awareness. Let's continue to support each other on this path of self-discovery and growth. What I talked about today: - Significance of the recent full moon and its impact on personal reflection.- Empowering journal prompts for self-exploration and alignment.- Shifts in global energy and personal experiences during the pandemic.- The importance of self-care and community in navigating life changes.- Challenging outdated societal norms related to work and productivity.- The value of lifelong learning and personal education outside traditional paths.- Strategies for letting go of outdated beliefs and habits.- The necessity of being present and recognizing personal joy.- Trusting and honoring the body's natural rhythms for better health.- The role of community in fostering resilience and joy during isolating times. The Journal Prompts: How can I let go of the energy of always chasing and allow myself into receiving?  How can I move forward in a practical calm way supporting living my life in joy while experiencing disruptive shifts and change around me?  How can I let go of the old ways of doing things in this world that are outdated and don’t serve me and society on a whole that will allow me to shift into things that allow me to enjoy my life?  How can I be more present with myself, so I know when I’m experiencing what brings me joy, peace, and comfort in my life?  How can I trust the rhythms of my body and honor those instead of what is expected of me in society? 🌟 Join the SASC Podcast Insider Ultimate Self-Care Community on Patreon Get exclusive podcast content and behind-the-scenes updates by joining the Soul Aligned Self Care Podcast Insider community on Patreon!
