EP 18 Complex PTSD and Business with Chantal Vanderhaeghen

After being hit by a car and suffering whiplash, Chantal was tossed into a ten year tumble where she lost her spark, her business acumen and her intuition. She was belittled by relatives for the disproportionate reaction she had to what appeared to be a minor accident. The reality was that the accident was the straw that broke the camel's back as Chantal had severe un processed childhood trauma. In this episode, we discuss the impact this had as she moved from running a successful and fulfilling practice as a masseuse and reiki practitioner and stepped up to create a line of skin care. What promised to be an exhilarating experience turned into Chantal being targeted by people who were out to profit from her vulnerability by pushing her to invest more. When she didn't get the results that she wanted, despite being featured on the cover of a magazine, she was made to feel that she hadn't tried hard enough. She now shares the story of how in the online space, there is too much noise with self appointed gurus who compound the issues for entrepreneurs who are suffering from trauma or grief. She is advocating for a different way to do business for these entrepreneurs especially as they usually lose their connection to self and dive into self doubt and confusion. For many years, Chantal suffered from brain fog and found that none of the coaches and mentors understood what was happening to her, and didn't even care. But instead of taking stock and slowing down, Chantal pushed through it and got deeper and deeper into trouble. Her intuition would have helped her to know that this was the wrong thing to do but it seemed nowhere to be found. Not unlike people who suffer from burnout and who think if I do one more thing, everything is going to be ok. And who are sadly encouraged by a part of an industry that focuses on its bottom line rather than in the success of their clients. The issue with complex PTSD is that because it's largely unrecognised, people who suffer from it are more likely to think that there is something wrong with them. That somehow they are at fault. They struggle with sleep, with panic attacks or very high levels of anxiety and with memory loss. It can easily be confused with mental health issues or dementia. To get back to Chantal, this made her more prone to the fear of missing out - the whole scarcity game that some marketers play to get you to sign up for something that might not even be right for you. This conversation is important and I want to command Chantal for having the courage to talk about the dark side of entrepreneurship. If you would like to work with Chantal to get support for your grief, loss or trauma as an entrepreneur and perhaps step away from this downward spiral of self blame for the failures you face, you can find her on Facebook on her page, Soothing Conversations with Chantal and her website www.griefcounsellor.com.au if you are in Perth, Chantal is also available for public speaking.

EP 17 Leadership with Purpose with Robert Hanna

Robert Hanna is a recruiter specialised in legal careers who also happens to host the top legal podcast in the UK, Legally Speaking Podcast. I have invited him on the podcast because purpose can make such a huge difference in resilience but also outlook in leadership and I thought this would be incredibly valuable for my listeners. I was not disappointed. Before I met Robert, I honestly never thought I would find a recruiter, especially in the legal field, fun, relatable and trustworthy. I know it's an awful thing to say but I have been on the candidate's side of things, rather than the recruiter, as a lawyer, and that was the reality. The way Robert approached his business is first and foremost in the context of a legacy he would like to leave. It's not just any legacy though and this is where Robert brings a truly unique energy to this. He was inspired by his grandfather who was a lawyer and who received countless letters from clients thanking him for the help he offered them. I can relate to this because although I never saw the letters, I know that my father, who was an eye surgeon, was dearly loved by his clients. There is something truly magical when you can restore someone's eye sight - though I realise it is not always possible. From there, Robert took a huge risk. He followed a nudge he had to start a podcast where he would interview lawyers, preferably at the start, lawyers who worked for clients he wanted to represent and produce an episode that would make that law firm more attractive for people to come and work for. This was true entrepreneurship in action as he was the new comer in a market where every recruiting firm had a foot in the door. Robert is also a champion of technology, especially AI, in law. His podcast is sponsored by Clio, the world's leading provider of cloud-based legal technology. Robert is the founder of a special event called the GBLO in the North of England, which stands for the Great Big Legal Offsite. It has been running for three years and will be held on the 3rd of July in 2026 with the theme of the laws of the jungle. Robert's events are unconventional and full of fun. His event is for This is a high-energy, immersive day for legal leaders, founders, and innovators who don't just want to survive – they want to thrive and dominate their domain. Ep 16 Journaling for success

Journalling has been identified as one of the four top practices to help leaders be more strategic. Writing your thoughts, beliefs and emotions enables us to explore the depth of our human experience. It helps you understand what drives your reactions. Checking on one's intention and scrutinising them to enable us to act for the highest good. All these are particularly important when we are in leadership roles. These roles require us to be a better kind of human, lest we become a tyrant whose power corrupts. Simple questions like "What did I learn about myself today?" or "How did I reach to challenges?" In this episode, I explore the seven main ways to journal. Journaling for goal setting and planning Reflecting on what went well and what didn't Tracking progress Mindset work Mind dumping Recording progress Gratitude One of the things I have been advocating in my business is to have separate journals for different things, particular for the negative mind dumping - I personally call that journal the "poison journal". It has a black cover and I dispose of it after I complete the journal. Writing things by hand enables us to retain and understand information better. It also enables us to put a distance between us and our thoughts which then enhances our ability to be critical of them. We are not our thoughts. Our thoughts do not define us. We can choose to activate certain thoughts because they serve our bigger purpose and let go of thoughts that don't. If you would like me to support you in mindset work in your leadership or entrepreneurial role, book a discovery session with me. EP 15 Intuitive (Business) Planning

The traditional business plan as is taught in Business Schools is not relevant to small entrepreneurs and solopreneurs because for the most part it is designed for investors and is an overkill. This leaves a gap where entrepreneurs can fall where they have no plan and just either follow the money or allow clients to guide where their businesses go.  It also means that these entrepreneurs are constantly putting out fires and focusing on urgent tasks that are maybe short term and the important but not urgent tasks always fall at the bottom of the to-do list. I have had to become incredibly focused in my business due to the fact that I started home schooling my kids in 2015 and only had one day per week to work in my business. But at the start, I resisted planning mostly due to the fact that the creative in me had found my fifteen year career as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer too restrictive and I wanted to be free.  It took me four years to reach my income goal but sadly in 2019, I had a car accident and in order to get my business back on track, I had to be even more focused than before. It took me a year and not only did I regain the regular income prior to the car accident but I multiplied it by 2.5.  Where does the intuitive piece come in? It comes in checking in your body how the plan feels so that you are aligned with it. Most plans drawn purely with your mind will feel off in your body. And sadly, if they do, you will probably never try to implement them.  To come and learn about the 90-day planning system and how to use your intuition whilst planning, sign up for my upcoming webinar on the 25th of June by signing up for my newsletter with this link.  If you want to purchase my 90-day planner on Amazon in the meantime so you have it for the webinar - or maybe you feel you only need the planner - click here.

    EP 14 CEO Decisions

Most of us can get by in life without facing what I call CEO decisions. At one point, though, some of us will. What is a CEO decision? It's a decision that affects not just us but others that are either in our care or that we love. These decisions feel much more important. They have such consequences that I believe we need a better decision making process that helps us get it right. In this episode, I share the four processes that can be used. See a psychic about it. I recommend listening to EP 35 first where I give you guidance on how to get the best psychic reading. This is not for everyone. Personally, I love this process especially if I have a trusted psychic I can get a reading from. Ultimately, it needs to be our decision. Ask friends and family for advice. I caution against this in the episode. Make a list of pros and cons. Use the seven step process that I have honed over the decades of working with clients. We will be discussing this process in my upcoming webinar on tarot for decision-making on the 24th of June. To sign up, join my newsletter. This seven step process is also described in my decision journal available on Amazon.

EP 13 The Perfectionist Leader with Emma Turton

Emma's leadership journey started in her teens where she was put in positions to lead in various activities she took part such as brownies and later student representative. Then she went to work as a lecturer and had to rewrite the curriculum in the Health Science Department. This was the first time she experienced burnout. She felt she was under constant scrutiny by her peers but also her students and this drove her perfectionism to new heights. Her burnout manifested as anxiety, insomnia and self doubt. As a lot of people do, instead of taking stock and redefining her life, she pushed through, hoping that after each deadline, the hard work would stop. It never did. The thing that helped her the most to recover from that first bout of burnout was listening to her body. Leadership forced Emma to look at her shadow aspects, in particular her demons. Her upper limit also came up a lot as well as her core wound, which is not enoughness. Moving has been her medicine, especially outdoors. To find out more about Emma, visit her website, find her on Instagram or Facebook.

    EP 12 Not Enough Time

As entrepreneurs and leaders, we are often pressed for time. In this episode, I share with you three things you can do to create more time for yourself. My invitation is to be very intentional with the extra time you create so that it is used for your growth and wellbeing rather than just adding more things to do. Before we dive into these three things, it is incredibly important that we challenge the version of success that we are pursuing. Too many of us, especially in our younger years, tend to live other people's versions of success. Interestingly, these versions of success often link to having more money or having more time, as if you had to choose between the two. The good news is that there is an energetic portal open now that allows you to have both. No need to choose anymore. In order to do this, though you need to abandon your attachment to the "working hard" mentality because subconsciously it will sabotage your entering that new paradigm. Here are the three processes that will help you have all the time you need: Retrain your mind when you experience a money or time pinch Learn to harvest time Curate an ideal day In the episode, I mention journaling for success. Sadly when I searched for it, I realised it was published on another podcast that is no longer available so you will have to wait for it to be republished. One more reason to continue to listen to this podcast. It will be released after the interview for this month (Mary 2026). The last way to speed up time is to work in the akashic records. If you don't know what the akashic records are, click here to listen to EP 57 If you would like to learn how to do that, the best way is to work one to one in my VIP container. EP 11 Mindful listening for leaders

The traditional image of leadership is of a person who speaks up, makes decisions and doesn't seek approval. All these traits are important but in my view the most important of all is listening. Better than that even, it's active listening. So in this episode we explore what it looks like, tips on how to be a better listener and the benefits of active listening. I also explore how active listening can be more challenging, though not impossible, for neurodivergent individuals. Active listening requires of us to engage in self enquiry so that we know what our biases are in order to prevent them from polluting our interactions with other people and in order for us to recognise when they are being activated. We can also use spiritual tools such as tarot to find out what is being unsaid. I am offering a free webinar on the 27th of May 2026 where I will show you how to use a deck of tarot to enhance your understanding of a situation. To receive the booking link, subscribe to my newsletter. In addition to the link you will also receive a coupon to book your first session at a discount. Here is the link to subscribe. If you would like to work with me to learn how to be more self aware and a better listener, book a discovery call.

    EP 10 Growing into Leadership

Today we are exploring an internal shift that is essential for all leaders and that is the shift from blame to taking ownership of how we react to situations. This doesn't mean that we repress our feelings around a certain situation or event. What it does mean, however, is that we shift from asking "Why is this happening to me?" to "What can I learn from this?" It is important to acknowledge our feelings in this process and not to rush into seeing the gold in the situation. Feelings, if not truly felt, stay trapped in the body and can actually lead to illnesses. The link between the mind and the body is powerful.  If you need help to see a situation in a different light, I would love to help you. When we look into the bigger picture we are shown information that not only helps us deal with the situation but sometimes even transform our perspective in such a radical way that we now see an opportunity rather than a challenge. EP 9 The Boardroom Approval Trap

As a leader it is easy to find yourself in a position where you are under pressure to cave in to opposing interests. I recently watched the Post with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks which illustrates it beautifully. On the one hand you have Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep who want to do the right thing. On the other hand you have the investors and the banks and even the Justice Department, who want you to do the opposite. How do you make sure you do the right thing? By first aligning yourself internally, and then aligning with the energy of the business or project you are working on, so that the energy you bring to the room is in integrity - we talked about the energy we bring to a room in EP 6. The second thing you want to do is align with the energy of the business itself. And then you can use the Sacred Heart to place the whole situation in it. You can learn more how to do this in the episode. If you want to learn how to use spiritual tools to enhance and bring ease into your leadership, book a discovery call to find out how you can work with me.

EP 8 Startup Burnout and Up Again with Dan Bartlett

Bristol born Dan Bartlett is a two-time founder, TRE practitioner, a coach and a long life practitioner of meditation in many different forms. As a self taught engineer, he embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship with the enthusiasm of youth. He co-founded a social network platform for meditator, which he then sold. His second venture, Almanac, a workflow tool and demanded that he worked around the clock to stay in touch with stakeholders in different times zones. Then the pandemic hit and his marriage fell apart creating the perfect storm. Burnout hit big time with fatigue, pain in the body and numbness. Feelings of incompetence drove him to work harder, which, instead of solving the problem, compounded it. Dan experienced very scary feelings and took four weeks off but as soon as he came back, the burnout symptoms returned. He felt resentful and cynical, which surprised him as this was not in his true nature. When he finally stepped away, he felt like a failure. He worried about having let people down. The thing that helped him the most were long walks in nature, cold plunges and forest bathing. To read Dan's account of his journey, click here. Dan's personal website can be found here. EP 7 How Do You Know Who to Trust

As a leader, knowing who to trust is paramount. My Spirituality for Leaders podcast is here to help you understand spiritual tools that can support you on your leadership journey and today we are going to talk about intuition. Perhaps you already trust your intuition. Maybe you don't. Maybe you would like to be able to trust in all the time - if that's the case, the best way to do this is probably to work with me one on one, so book a discovery call to find out about the different ways to work with me. Intuition is often believed to be pattern recognition in leadership circles, as has been documented by Malcom Gladwell in his book Blink, but it's so much more than that. In this episode, I give you three processes that can help you tap into your intuition. The third one is using a tarot deck. If you don't have one, I am recommending a deck in the episode. I am also inviting you to sign up for my newsletter so that you are informed of when I will be launching my tarot for leaders online course.

EP 6 The Energy You Bring to a Room

The energy you bring to a room is vital to the outcome. The reason for this is your energy matters and it links in to the energy field we have around us that influence other people and situations. You have probably experienced people who light up a room when they walk in.  When your energy is off, you are more likely to experience difficult people, people overlooking you, people not paying attention to what you say.  In this episode I talk about your energy field, how to maintain it and how to set an intention before you enter a room so that you get the results that you aim for. If you want to learn how to curate your energy to create flow in your life, why not book a discovery call with me with this link.  Other episodes to explore: EP 84 How to be High Vibe no Matter What and EP 121 Get Your Energy Back.

EP 5 Are you afraid of your competitiveness?

In this week's episode we explore how the concept of ego can help leaders who are highly competitive. I start with my own fear about how competitive I am and how it has stopped me from taking part in competitions until I reached sixty. Spiritual circles frown upon competitiveness as it is associated with the ego. But you can be both competitive and spiritual and spirituality has tools to help keep that competitiveness in check so that you use it for the highest good of everyone. EP 4 Self-leadership with Wani Manly

Wani is the first guest in the new format of the podcast and before we dig into the content of the episode, I wanted to give the behind the scenes of how she came to be a guest. On Friday the 20th of March, I decided to cancel all my future guests on the podcast. I was booked until November 2026. It was a bold move. Once I had messaged the potential guests, I wondered who I could interview for March as I always have one guest per month on the past Friday of the month. I reached out to a woman in a business Facebook community who specialised in burnout and waited. On Monday at 2 am, which would have been Wani's Sunday, I received an email from Wani asking if I would consider her on the podcast. Her profile was perfectly aligned with the new feel of the podcast. Normally, I pre-interview my guests but I decided to go for it. The next day, we were recording the episode and it is EPIC. Wani is an Intellectual Property Attorney from Miami, who left her career after receiving sign after sign, for a year, to move to Paris. She had already been on a spiritual journey for nine years, which started after September 11, 2001. After a year of those signs, she sold her home, her car and got rid of almost everything she possessed and moved to Paris. She didn't know the language and had only been there as a tourist once. She says this is the moment she stepped into what she calls "Self-leadership" which she defines as self-awareness and the willingness to look within, including at our shadow. It requires us to do the work, which can be really hard at times. For Wani, what it looked like was to stop being so hard on herself and more open to life. Even thought she had made the decision to fully pursue a career in public speaking and change management as a consultant, it was hard for her to let go of her lawyer identity. To hear her share about what helps her stay centred when life gets overwhelming (how much more overwhelming than a move to a country where you don't speak the language?) and so much more wisdom, click here. To find out more about Wani, check her website, her LinkedIn profile and her Instagram account.

EP 3 Funny I Was Just Thinking About You

Have you ever had that moment… where someone pops into your mind out of nowhere—and then, almost instantly, they message you? Or you dream something so specific it feels impossible to ignore… and then it happens? If you're someone who prides yourself on being logical, rational, scientifically minded… you've probably dismissed those moments. Coincidence. Pattern-seeking. Noise. Until they happen again. And again. And again. At some point, you start to wonder—what if this isn't random? In today's episode, we're exploring that uncomfortable, fascinating space where logic meets experience. Where the things you can't explain begin to show up too often to ignore. And what that might mean—not just for how you understand the world—but for how you lead. Because what if the leaders who make the best decisions aren't just analytical… but are also paying attention to something quieter, less measurable… and just as powerful? To book a discovery call to find out how you can learn to trust your intuition as a process that both protects you from burnout but also allows you to reach new and sustainable levels of success, click here.

EP 2 What if businesses had souls?

I specialise in Business akashic records which are the records of the soul of a business. i was shown about ten years ago that every business has a soul independent of its founder and they have a soul contract. The founder or founders agree to bring the business to life, and the business chooses the founders for the characteristics that they bring to the business. It starts as a perfect match, although the founders might think it was their idea. Spirit works in a different way. If you don't know what akashic records are, I invite you to listen to EP 57 The Akashic Records. Businesses, governments, buildings and generally entities have souls. And because they do, they have records. At the start of a business, the relationship between the founder and the business is like any relationship. It's the honey moon phase. Over time, however, the two can become misaligned. I link it back to Simon Sinek's book Start with why. A business has a very strong why at the start. And if it looses its connection with its purpose, then it becomes less purposeful effectively becoming soulless. I find it fascinating that a business consultant like Simon Sinek can come to the same conclusion as I do even though he is not spiritual. Imagine what would happen if he was and he knew the tools that I know to align or realign a business owner to its business. The soul quality of charitable organisation is easier to accept because intrinsically, they are here to do good, but it's not reserved for the non-profit sector. Commercial companies can also be soul driven. Once you connect to the soul of your business, it can show you exactly how you are supposed to do business, what brand colours to use, what offers, what pricing, what funnels. All these things that can confuse us and take months if not years to hone, we can receive the information almost instantly when we open the records of a business. And most business owners and entrepreneurs tell me that they knew this was what they were supposed to do but they lacked the confidence in the vision they had received. If you would like me to read the records of your business, why not book a session with this link.

EP 1 The World Needs More Conscious Leaders Now

With the world going to hell in a hand basket right now, with incredibly rich and powerful people being listed in the Epstein files whilst other leaders are playing battleship in the Middle East, we need conscious leaders more than ever. In this episode I define the three quality that I believe conscious leaders have: They are here to serve They value democracy They want what is for the highest good I also talk about when leadership does none of these three things and use our current Labour government here in the UK, which sadly has fell to alarmingly high levels of corruption - as highlighted by Transparency International, an organisation that publishes the Corruption Perceptions Index. The situation is so bad that we are now at risk of this becoming an embedded culture here in the UK. Paul Holden's book, the Fraud, is an eye opener. Although I have not read the book myself, I have listened to his interview on the Bold Politics Podcast and I encourage you to do the same. Here is a link if you wish to do so. This being said, I invite you to use the law of attraction to focus on the conscious leaders of this world and send them the energy that they need to make this world a better place. For me, at the moment, it is Zack Polanski, the new leader of the England and Wales Green party. I would love to know who it is for you, so feel free to share on my website on the show notes. But if you can't see one where you live, perhaps this is the nudge that you need to step up. I can help. I have recently stepped up myself and have used my EPIC framework to scaffold that experience and prevent myself from burning out. If you are interested in hearing more about conscious leadership, why not sign up for my newsletter with this link.

EP 129 Druidry as a Nature Path to Spirituality with Nyx Vera

My guest his month is Australian based Nyx Vera. She was kind enough to share her personal experience with Druidry. We think of druids as these ancient sages with long beards and personally, I was heavily influenced by my childhood comic Asterix, to the point where I took for granted the idea that druids had always existed in Europe and that they were somehow connected to my ancestors, as a French born person. I found out thanks to Nyx's book recommendation that entire myths had been created by a couple of authors in the 1700s in the UK that were sometimes plucked out of thin air for the author's ulterior motives. The truth is that due to the fact that Druidry used to be a purely oral tradition, like most indigenous traditions, very little is known about them. A lot more is known about Modern Druidry however and Nyx was kind enough to direct us to two books that can give us a lot of information about this practice. One called World Druidry by Larisa A. White and one called Australian Druidry by Julie Brett. What I found fascinating from my chat with Nyx is that Druids come from all sorts of backgrounds and not only from tree hugging individuals, however endearing that might sound. There are scientists, artists, and so many more who are all united by a devotion to nature and the land. There is no formal authority and no requirements to become a druid. Some druids choose to study and if they do so, there are usually three levels of studies that can take at least one year to complete. In our discussion with Nyx we explored the following questions: is there an intersection between paganism, druidry and witchcraft? Is it possible to practice druidry in a city environment? The most common misconception people have about druids? And so much more. What struck me is how inclusive the world of druids seems to be. To connect with Nyx, click here.

EP 128 The Energy of Money

Is money good or bad? In this episode, I explore what we attach to money and what we make it into. I have an interesting background because on my dad's side they came from money whereas on my mum's side they were working class. This has given me a rich tapestry to observe people's beliefs and attitudes towards money. Perhaps this has led to me seeing that money in itself is neutral. How people see and use money, however, isn't. We need to observe every belief we have around money and question it to we can free ourselves from the bond we have with it. Money likes to flow, like water. In and out. When we try to stop it from moving, we are going against its nature. What I have realised when I lost my career as a lawyer is that certain professions have a relationship with money that differs broadly from other professions. When I was a lawyer, I felt secure in my relationship with money and didn't think I had money mindset issues. And yet I did. I deflected money by giving it away as if I didn't deserve it. I invite you to listen to EP 28 that explores the question of whether it is a spiritual thing to help others. The moment I became an artist and a healer, my relationship with money changed entirely. It felt like with the job came a poverty consciousness that I never realised was there, which derives from the myth of the starving artist. That poverty consciousness found a part in me that I didn't even knew existed, that doubted my own self worth. It took me years to shift that part of me. My invitation in this episode is to challenge your beliefs around money and change your relationship to money. When you come across a belief around money, use the four questions of the work, by Byron Katie, to challenge that belief. Go back to EP 97 to see how the process works. And conclude the exercise by writing a letter to money.

EP 127 The Energy of Your Home

The energy of your home can affect you in profound ways. There are two reasons. First your home has an energy of its own. But second, you leave an energetic footprint to your home through your emotions and your thoughts, which, if not cleaned regularly, can build up thought forms and energetic clouds. Once the energy become strong enough, it then becomes harder to get rid of it. In the episode, I share with you a simple practice that can help you break up that energy and start to get rid of it. I would also like to invite you to listen to previous episodes about this topic: EP 30 The Ancient Chinese Art of Feng Shui EP 70 A Fresh Start for You and Your Home I talk about decluttering and give you my best tips on how to get started. I give you my definition of what clutter is and how clutter creates energy drains. If you need help, why not book a house clearing session (if works for flats too).

    EP 126 Energetic Black Holes

Due to the release of the Epstein Files, I have been asked to do an episode on how to protect ourselves from what I would like to refer to as Energetic Black Holes, which represent the darkest side of humanity. Up until now, I have been talking about several different energy vortices: EP 115 The energy of the news and politics EP 122 The energy of flags (UK) EP 123 The energy of war and peace EP 124 The energy of songs But none of these episodes looked into the darkest side of humanity. We are being exposed to this right now, not because it has never existed before, but because it has to be exposed and to come into the light for healing. However, I am urging you not to dive into that energy unless you are a very experienced lightworker - a term I use very seldom. Not every reiki master is an experienced lightworker. I have had reiki masters tell me that if you are "of the light" then that sort of darkness cannot touch you. They are misguided. That sort of naivety is dangerous and could lead you to put yourself in danger. I also want to warn against using words such a sociopath, psychopath and narcissist lightly. This is very harmful to the community of people who suffer from mental illnesses. Nasty people are usually powerful energy vampires but this is another level entirely that has a purposeful device added to the dark energy that is designed to syphon your energy if you come into contact with it. Just like you shouldn't run into a house on fire to save people in it unless you were a fully trained firefighter, the same goes here about these dark energies. I was shown by my spirit team that Epstein was so dark that his soul was terminated. To give perspective, Hitler soul hasn't been terminated, although he is in a very dark place right now. In the episode, I share an intention you can set which I have borrowed from Amanda Ellis, to whom I want to give credit. I have however, attached a caveat to it, which you will find out if you listen to the episode. These energies are like black holes and just like black holes, when you engage with them there is what is called a "boundary of no escape" - which, if you cross it, will require professional help to recover from. And the sad thing is, you can cross that line so easily from just going down a rabbit hole after seeing a post on social media, which you weren't even necessarily looking for.

EP 125 Spiritual Practices for the New Year with Helen Plehn

Our guest this month is Hay house published author, artist and spiritual teacher, Helen Plehn, who has trained in an impressive number of spiritual modalities. Her book called Aura Colour Wheel presents a radical system of looking at the aura and the chakra system in the light of our soul path, lessons and wounds. We started the discussion by talking about Feng Shui as I wanted to honour Helen's Chinese heritage and knowledge of Feng Shui, and the image for these show notes was taken whilst we recorded the episode in zoom when Helen excitedly reached out for the compass that was used by her grand mother and handed down to her dad, then to herself as a third generation Feng Shui master. Helen also shared about her kundalini energy experience and how this suddenly allowed her to see spirit through the opening of her third eye but also how it took her a couple of weeks to integrate the energy with the support of her spiritual teachers, particularly to learn to close her third eye to be able to function in the 3D world. We talked about her mother's recent cancer diagnosis and healing that she calls a miracle as it happened on the back of her mother releasing the anger she held against her own parents, which was stored in her solar plexus, and that had created liver cancer. Helen explained that her mother does not believe in any of the angelic and spiritual teachings of her daughter but that this helped her nevertheless. Even though the Aura Colour Wheel is complex, this does not deprive us of our free will. You can find out more about Helen and take her quiz on her website www.helencreatesbeauty.com. If you purchase her book, which is available on all the platforms where books are sold, you will receive three bonuses that you can claim here. So make sure you keep your receipt so you can enter the details on her website. One is a personal reading that will allow you to start the year with a bang by knowing a very important personal number that will help you find out about your prosperous direction. The second is access to Helen's facebook community. And the third derives from the second as Helen does monthly live Q+As in that community. If you buy Helen's book and you enjoy it, you can vote for it in the Conscious Life Expo Book Award with this link. No purchase required though. Helen has also started a podcast on her YouTube Channel at the start of January 2026 which you can watch live every Monday at 10 am Pacific Time called the Aura Evolution Podcast.

EP 124 The Energy of Songs

Songs can carry a mix of energies and because we listen to them in a state of semi-hypnosis the lyrics and that mixed energy can unduly influence us in our beliefs. In order to demonstrate this, I went through what are considered to be the top 10 most popular songs in the UK and I deconstructed them to prove my point. All of Me - John Legend I Will Always Love You - Whitney Huston The Power of Love - Jennifer Rush Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran I don't want to miss a thing - Aerosmith Just the Way You Are - Bruno Mars Angels - Robbie Williams Everything I do, I do for you - Bryan Adams My heart will go on - Celine Dion The problem that I have with most of those songs, except perhaps Bruno Mars' song (although it's problematic in a different way), is that they have less than ideal messages wrapped up in a pretty box with a bow. That pretty box is a fine tune or a lovely melody and often it comes with a beautiful voice, but the message is still problematic. There are of course wonderful songs and I have a playlist called High Vibe. Some of the songs you can find in there are: Mr Blue SKy - ELO Thank you - Bliss Here comes the sun - the Beatles Intuition - John Lennon Happy - Pharrell Williams W.i.t.c.h. - Devon Cole If you have a favourite high vibe song you would like to share with us, why not share it in the comments on the podcast show notes on my website. www.spirituallawyer.co.uk/podcast-2

EP 123 The Energy of War and Peace

On the 3rd of January, Trump launched military strikes on Venezuela and captured President Maduro and his wife in violation of the UN charter and Venezuela's sovereignty. I believe this vastly increased the chances of WW3. For the first time, I went to bed wondering in what state I would find the world when I woke up the next day? Why? Because up to now, for all its faults, the USA was considered a European ally and a force to fight Putin's nefarious ambitions. And for the first time, the USA has stopped being an ally. It has joined the ranks of Russia and Israel in the belligerent and lawless states. In truth the energy of WW3 has been building steadily since February 2022 since Russia invaded Ukraine. And the energy of war has actually dominated the world for a very long time, over the energy of Peace. There have been 285 armed conflicts since 1946. The energy of war is one of the energy drains that can affect us at the moment and one that we will be clearing during my five day challenge starting on the 26th of January 2026. So sign up for the challenge to be part of the movement for Peace. This episode, however is here to show you that there is something we can do. Not only that, we have reached a tipping point where the energy of Peace is actually stronger than the energy of war and I want to invite you to do what you can to be part of this incredible movement full of hope.  To hear Barbara answer my question of whether we have reached a tipping point that will take us from destruction to salvation, click here.

EP 122 The Energy of Flags

I have decided to dedicate the whole month of January to energy, mostly because, self-centeredly, the Norther Hemisphere is in a season where we all feel our energies at low levels but also due to running my brand new free five-day challenge on the 26th of January. For those of you who don't live in the UK, and specifically in England, a movement called Operation Raise the Colours was created in August 2025 that encouraged its members to attach the England flag to poles across neighbourhoods but also paint red crosses across roundabouts and zebra crossings. This naturally led to anti-immigration protests in particular in front of refugee hotels as well as harassment of communities, businesses and minorities. Sadly, the main political parties of the UK are supporting this movement, including our Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The reason I am talking about this on the podcast, other than to highlight the issues around this movement, is that these flags are actually energy vortices purposefully meant to hit people from minority backgrounds or people of colours in the solar plexus and create fear. It's basically like an injection of fear and hatred energy. I explain how this is possible but also the three steps I have taken to reclaim my power around it in the hope that it can help you reclaim your own power from the flags, if this has affected you, but also to help people reclaim their power from similar situations. I have talked about energy vortices before, in particular about the energy of the news and politics, in EP 115. I think in this episode I go more in depth on these are created through our own thoughts (or as it stands the hateful thoughts of the people who use the flags for project their hatred). I take this opportunity to mention my new weekly energy readings which I post on a Sunday night at 6 pm UK time and that you can find on all my social media platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, but also on YouTube. In my free five-day challenge mentioned above, I will teach you how to remove the hooks or energetic cords in your own energy field, so don't forget to find out more about it and sign up with this link.

EP 121 Get Your Energy Back

In the Northern Hemisphere, Winter can be a trying period in the year where our energy levels are low. They are low due to the lack of sunshine and subsequent drop in vitamin D, but also because there is a tendency to stay indoor. Nature shows us we need to slow down. In that context, Christmas arrives and uses up a ton of our energy, not just from the Planet's point of view, but our personal reserves of energy. It is not surprising that we can finish the year completely drained. However, the biggest drain of all is the energy vampires in our lives that hide in plain sight, often times in our families or bigger circle of relatives. The reason I am so excited to dedicate an episode to helping you getting your energy back is that Energy is the first pillar of my EPIC framework. And I am running a free five day challenge by the same name starting on the 26th of January that I am inviting you to sign up for with this link. I have done episodes about energy vampires previously on the podcast so I am going to list them if you want to go back to them: EP 08: Ghosts, Energy Vampires and Graveyards EP 104: How to deal with Energy Vampires I grew up surrounded by energy vampires, starting with my Mum and my Grandmother. I am a bit of an expert on the topic because of that. I wish I wasn't, but I am. In this episode I explain why people turn into energy vampires and describe the main four types of vampires you can come across so you can spot them. And during my five day challenge I will teach you how to spot them but also how to remove what they use to drain you. Please share this episode with anyone you know who might benefit from listening to it.

EP 120 Predictions for 2026 with Barbara With

Barbara With has been with us in a previous episode where she talked about world peace. Click here to check it out. She comes back this December 2025 to give us predictions for 2026 from the collective of spirit guides that she calls the Party. First of all, I asked Barbara is her collective would give us a word for the year, and they said "Authenticity". I also asked what would be the biggest change that happens in 2026. I don't want to spoil it so you will have to listen to the episode. We then explored month by month what to expect. I asked her how it all started and she said it was when a British tabloid newspaper wanted her to channel Princess Diana in the 90s. She shares how the twelve guides that are in the Party came one by one, although they worked with her under the guise of angels for many years. She also shares how Hitler is one of the 12. I found that particularly interesting because something similar happened to me. For years, my guides were anonymous angels. And one day, one came to the forefront. Maybe I needed to be ready to hear their name. Barbara feels the same. Hearing the names of our guides can take our egos for a ride. Barbara shares a message from Jesus after I asked what is the one thing he wished everybody knew about his message. Last, I asked Barbara how we can best prepare for 2026. She is offering her 1-hour reading at 40% off. Go to https://barbarawith.com/readings/ pick a 1-hour reading and use the coupon code READING40. To buy Barbara''s books, click here.

EP 119 Coping with Grief Around Christmas with Chantal Vanderhagen

We have a returning guest: Chantal Vanhagen, who came to the podcast in EP 24 to talk about toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing. Chantal's Mum died earlier this year as did a very dear friend of hers and I thought having a discussion with her around how grief can be exacerbated around Christmas would be a good idea. The first Christmas (if you celebrate Christmas obviously - feel free to use any other family gatherings in your own tradition) after a loved one has died can be the hardest time because you cannot help remembering that last Christmas that person was with you. Christmas can magnify feelings like no other celebration. If you are happy, then you are probably likely to feel happier as you are surrounded by loved ones, but if you are not, particularly if you are dealing with the messy process of grief, then it's going to be a challenge. But it's not just for people who have lost loved ones, you could be grieving not having had children and insensitive relatives might rub it in your face. Or, like Bridget Jones, you could be single in your thirties and feel like the odd one. Grief hit me unexpectedly this Christmas as I witnessed the staff of a restaurant decorating a Christmas tree and unprocessed grief around the fact that my ex-husband never allowed me to decorate our Christmas tree in the twenty years we were together, depriving me of the joy of doing that with our two children when they were little. The grief was real and I sat and journaled on it. Whatever your reason for grieving, Chantal and I offer lived experience, share stories and tips on how to cope with it. We also give tips for people who know people who are grieving and who might not know how to best support them. To find out more about Chantal, find her on Facebook at Soothing conversations with Chantal.

EP 118 The Greenest Christmas Ever

In today's episode, I want to share six ways you can be kinder to the planet this Christmas. As with everything, what matters is progress not perfection. This was emphasised to me as I felt like an imposter joining the Green party in October as I am not vegan, not even vegetarian and I drive my son to college every day. Sometimes we don't do anything because we are not doing it perfectly and we think it's not going to make any difference. That is not true. Every small thing we do can make a huge difference, especially if everyone did. There are six areas where you can make changes that will be kinder to the planet over Christmas: Christmas tree Presents Wrapping Lights (electricity) Cards Food I encourage you to listen to the podcast for inspiration over what can be easily done to massively reduce your carbon footprint over Christmas, which is, for the average UK person, twenty two times bigger. We are talking a footprint of 500 Kg of CO2e per person whereas it is only 22 Kg on a regular day. Christmas sadly increases our waste massively through packaging, unwanted gifts and food waste. A staggering 5 million meals are wasted over Christmas. The title of this episode is also a nudge to the fact I joined the UK Green party in October so it will definitely be the Greenest Christmas Ever for me. It is not the first time I talk about politics on the podcast. I have done so already in EP 43 Should you be involved in politics as a spiritual seeker. The reason it's important for me to mention this on a spiritual podcast is that I feel angelic energy around the leader of the Green party, Jack Polanski. So if you live in the UK and have not had a chance to hear this man talk, I encourage you to watch this YouTube video to get stared. He has restored my faith in politicians which says a lot given I had been disengaged from politics for nearly 45 years. I have done an episode before on Spirituality and Politics that I encourage you to watch. At the end of the episode I shared my three newsletters: My business newsletter is for anyone who is an entrepreneur or works in a managerial position in corporate or for experts. If you sign up for it, you will receive a link to join my free one card readings in zoom. The next one is on the 18th of December at 1:30 pm UK time. I also do a weekly energy reading that you can find on Youtube where I pull a card from my Healing Burnout with the Angels brand new oracle deck. You can sign up with this link. My author newsletter is for anyone who wants to know when my next book is out, learn about the behind the scenes of an author but also get notified when podcast episodes are released. When you sign up, you receive a free ebook called the Simple way to ask the Universe for help. You can sign up with this link. My brand new energy newsletter will see you receiving energy tips every week as well as the link to join my free five-day challenge in January called Get Your Energy Back. EP 117 Are Angels Around Us More Around Christmas?

I was in London the weekend of the 22nd of November and I went to see the Christmas lights on Regent Street. This made me wonder if people believe that angels only come to visit around Christmas time. This episode is the result of that thought. Is it a yes or a no? In the episode I answer that question in depth. The short answer is yes and no. Yes the angels definitely visit us around Christmas because that is when we think of them the most. It is our thoughts that call angels in. As we talk about angels, sing about them and feature them on cards, wrapping paper, etc, they are going to draw closer. The same is true of dark entities, so there is your warning. In the episode, I list the top five Christmas films that feature angels but also talk about the series called Supernatural because coincidently, a few days before I decided to do this episode, an angel appeared for the first time in the series. I also mention how hard Christmas can be when we don't feel jolly and especially when we have lost a loved one the year leading up to Christmas. Sometimes it can be hard for many years. Grief doesn't have a set deadline. I also answered no to the question because they are not around us only around Christmas and I invite you to think about them often. Previous episodes that talk about angels: EP 18: Can lawyers be angels in disguise? EP 47: How to work with angels? EP 78: Five obstacles between you and your angels EP 93: Angel numbers If you would like to work with me and the angels, why not book a discovery call to see what we can do for you.

EP 116 Spirituality and Sports with Stephanie Kakris

In today's episode, my guest and I explore the connection between high performance sports and spirituality. I have to admit that I didn't quite see the link when we discussed having her on the podcast but now that the episode is done, there was so much gold in it. Stephanie Kakris is a High Performance Coach with a background in sports psychology, coaching but she brings a unique angle to her practice by integrating spiritual practices to help athletes be in the present moment and detach their self worth from the win. Her work with clients has highlighted that the most successful athletes are able to detach from the outcome and focus purely on the joy and the pursuit of perfection in their game or event. She also points out that the spiritual world does not focus enough on the body and the physical aspect of our experience, which is a mistake. Over coming our physical limitations by thriving to be the best athlete we can is a path of self mastery just as much as other spiritual pursuits. It is not healthy to have so much emphasis on the mind only and to live in our heads and everyone can benefit from moving more. But we also had a conversation about achievement, goals and the meaning of life. Some athletes make the mistake of thinking that they life will end if they don't win a race or an event. And this can actually trip them up on their pursuit of success. Stephanie teaches these individuals how to get in the flow state. The only sustainable state that can help us break through the limits of our minds and often bodies too. Join us in a conversation that turned out to be fascinating where even spirit guides were discussed. To find out more about Stephanie, check her website. You can also reach her through Facebook.

EP 115 The Energy of the News and of Politics

Announcement: Sign up for my brand new challenge that starts on the 26th of January 2026 called Get Your Energy Back and received weekly tips on how to increase your energy levels in small and doable ways. I have just been interviewed by a journalist of Metro, who told me that it felt very refreshing writing an article about me because it was so positive and a great change from the doom and gloom. She interviewed me about my journey of going from being a lawyer to a modern mystic who talks to the angels every day - a journey that I have retraced in my second memoir called Spiritual Lawyer, which is available on Amazon. This got me thinking about how the media, the news and politics have a very heavy and often dark energy and what we should be doing about it. A study by a Scottish University (sorry I don't know which one) has revealed that in the 70s, the British media had a radio of 3 positive stories to 1. By the year 2000, the ratio as of 1 to 18. I am sure this has got worse since plus we have the echo chambers of social media. On top of that, these bad news generate thousands of negative comments on social media posts with a level of nastiness that has frankly reached levels that I find unimaginable. Where is all the nastiness coming from? Because of this, I wanted to do an episode today about the energy of the news and politics and show you the effect it is bound to have on your mental health but also your energy field, that bubble of energy that surrounds our bodies to protect us. The most effective cleanser for all that negativity is nature, in particular the sun. But even the sun has been portrayed now as toxic, and I want you to know, friends, that it is not. Yes, precautions have to be taken during heat waves during the middle of the day, but for the most part, the sun is a wonderful to clear your energy. So are the wind, the rain, forests, ocean air and more. My invitation is to go on a news detox but also to vote with your clicks and stop feeding the negative news monster so that you can balance out the input of negativity in your life. Your nervous system was never designed to cope with so much negativity in the first place.

EP 114 Should I Forgive My Mother?

Last week I received a birthday card from my mother after six years of silence. My first reaction was fear and anxiety. In this episode I discuss the concept of forgiveness and spirituality as applied to my personal situation with my mother. I use my example to explore several topics that link in to forgiveness after giving some context of why I didn't realise I had been abused as a child. Mostly it was because I believed that abuse was hitting a child, malnourishing them or sexually abusing them. I did not know about the concept of gaslighting. This came way later in life. Should I forgive my mother? She is going to be 90 years old next year and has been going to all my relatives telling them how heart broken she is about the wall I built between us. Am I being the cruel person by not allowing her back in my life? This is actually a different topic altogether than the topic of forgiveness. In order to record today's episode without fear of repercussion, I have had to change my name, record it in a different language (although my mother speaks well enough English that she could listen to it - If she decides to though she will have been forewarned) and moved to another country. BeforeI did these three things I had constant ear throat and mouth infections from not being able to speak my truth that led to a sort of piece de resistance, so to speak, which was a cyst that grew on my thyroid and that led to emergency surgery as it was suffocating me. The truth I wasn't speaking was literally killing me. Should I forgive my mother? Let's look at the word "should" and say that no one should be pressured into forgiving, whether it's the right to do or not. Forgiveness is an internal process that has to happen organically. Sometimes, time is a great healer but more often than not, it is not and we need an intervention such as therapy to help with the process. In the words of Nelson Mandela "Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies." There is a benefit in forgiving someone or at the very least letting go of resentment (they can be two different things) but only if this does not involve gaslighting yourself. I also wanted to add that there are things that I believe cannot be forgiven which involve intentionally causing harm to another. One thing is for sure no one should tell you what to do when it comes to forgiveness because no one walks in your shoes. At the end of the episode I offer a process that can help you let go of the negative feelings you may feel around what someone has done to you. If you need further help, though, particularly if this is contributing to your burnout, do book a discovery call with me by clicking this link. As a sustainable success coach, I would love to support you in letting go of relationships that cause you to be exhausted or at least to create some healthy boundaries around them.

EP 113 Does the Veil Really Thin Around Halloween?

In this week's episode, I explore the idea of the veil that separates the spirit world from us, where the idea comes from, why some people think it thins around Halloween and where I think the veil actually resides. For as long as I have explored the New Age, I have heard people say that the veil thins around Halloween. At first, I was flattered. For once, the time of my birthday felt special rather than a time of the year where the weather was horrible and the clocks went backwards. This year, I finally decided to stand by what I believe, which is that this whole veil is thinning around Halloween is superstition and I am tired of people rehashing it without questioning where it comes from and whether it is true. So I did a bit of research and found that the idea of a veil between the spirit world and our world comes from Celtic folk lure. It seems that druids and pagans use incantations to pierce that veil in order to communicate with the spirit world. This still does not explain why it would happen particularly around Halloween. A bit more digging revealed that symbolically, the Autumn is a time where death enters everyone's mind (provided they live in the Northern Hemisphere though - so let's be aware of culture centricity here) due to the fact that the leaves are falling off trees and nature seems to be dying. Unsurprisingly, that would lead to people thinking of the dead more often at that time of year. That's all. This does not prove that the veil is thinning. In the second part of the episode, I talk about where I believe the veil truly resides, how to lift the veil and discuss whether lifting the veil should be pursued and how. If you would like to book an aura and energy field balancing and repair session, click here to buy. The investment at the time of this episode is £98 for a session. EP 112 Dance and Spirituality with Dean James

Dean James is the host of the Used To Be Do Count (U2BDC) podcast, which explores what his guests used to be because who we used to be an important contribution to who we are today and we should not abandon a part of ourselves. Dean grew up in a religious environment, not because of his parents but because of school as most primary school in England are denomination schools under the umbrella of the Church of England. However, Dean has an interesting background as his father is a Turkish Cypriot, so he grew up influenced by Muslim values. His mother is Irish Catholic. And Dean feels that, having been exposed to both religions, they share common values. At one point in his youth, Dean went to Church and identified as Christian but one day, he heard the Priest that he admired and who was a mentor to him, do a homophobic sermon. And at that moment, even though Dean didn't know he was gay, his body froze. And that put him off church. It felt like milk turned sour. Since then Dean has dabbed into meditation and Buddhism. Dean used to be a professional dancer and he definitely feels that dancing is part of his spirituality. Sadly however, he stopped his career as a dancer when his brother died. And has recently taken up dancing again, though not professionally. He believes that dance can unlock our sixth sense because it unlocks energy in our bodies. He stopped dancing at the time of the death of his brother because something got blocked by grief in his body and he felt "Who am I to feel joy through dance when my brother is dead?" So Dean founded a charity for the following seven years. To hear the full interview, click here. To listen to Dean's podcast click here. To follow the podcast on IG, click here. EP 111 The Five Steps to Finding Out Your Life's Purpose

There are five steps to finding your life's purpose. Step 1: Strengthen your intuition Everyone is intuitive but we haven't been taught how to use that intuition and what it looks like so we don't trust it. We also don't know how to access is on demand. If you want to learn how, please head over to my online course How To Learn to Trust Your Intuition. As children, we have been actively encouraged to ignore our intuition so that we could fit in and become compliant citizens. We are socially trained to believe what people say rather than observe their behaviour or how we feel about it. In the episode, I teach you one example that will enable you to know the difference between anxiety and fear on the one hand and intuition on the other hand. The clue is on how it makes you feel. You can also listen to previous episodes about intuition: EP 5 - How does intuition work. And EP 91 - Ignore your intuition at your peril. Step 2: Follow signs What are signs? In order to dive into the range of signs that are available to you I encourage you to listen to EP 23 Signs from the Universe. If you are in a hurry, they can be anything significant to you especially after you ask the Universe to show you the way. How do you ask? Listen to EP 47 How to Work with Angels to have more information about it. In a nutshell, you write down the help you want and then wait and pay attention. You start with paying attention to how you word your request. Every word matters. I help clients with this step because it's quite subtle and more complex than it appears at first. However for the purpose of this podcast episode you can keep it simple: What is my life's purpose? Date and sign it. In the episode, I list several ways in which you can receive the answer to your request. Step 3: Learn to say no This is a very important step. If you are a people pleaser and cannot say no, you are not likely to find your purpose because you will believe that your purpose is to make other people happy. No one's purpose is to make other people happy. Not even your own children if you are a parent. That's just a people pleasing point of view. Step 4: Trust the detours Even though we would like our lives to be this linear path to success, it rarely happens like this. Life is messy. I had to lose my entire career in 2005 in order to find my true purpose. And most of it was due to the fact that I was living someone else's version of success because I was a people pleaser, as I explained in EP 110 Success and Spirituality. Step 5: Open your own akashic records Your life's purpose is stored in your akashic records. They are what you could call your soul's diary. They contain everything about you as a soul. It is possible for you to access your own records and get information from them. I recommend Linda Howe's book to get started: How to read the akashic records. I also invite you to book a session with me as this is my speciality. I have two separate tariffs depending on whether you consult me for your private life or your business.

    EP 110 Success and Spirituality

The Universe has a radically different way to look at success than we do in the Western world. In this episode, I explore those differences, how I have lived experience of it and the five regrets of the dying. From 1988 to 2005, I had a stellar career as a lawyer (I count my studies in this period as I did really well at University). Then in 2005, two things happened, I lost my job and I became pregnant with my third child. This was a massive crisis for me as I wasn't just losing my job, I was losing my career. I talk about this second burnout period in my life in my brand new book, Healing Burnout with the Angels, so If you want to know when the book is coming out, sign up for my newsletter with this link. According to the Oxford dictionary, he definition of success is the accomplishment or an aim. In the West, that usually means wealth, fame or respect. For me, in 2005, two versions of success collided. The success I wanted to feel in my career and the success I wanted to feel as a mum. I wanted to be both the best lawyer in the world and the best mum in the world and sadly, the way the Western world is structured, both cannot be attained simultaneously. The second part of the episode is about whether this Western world definition of success is really going to matter when you are on your death bed and the short answer is no. In 2011, Bronnie Ware wrote a book called the five regrets of the dying. This was inspired by her work in palliative care. In the episode we explore these five regrets and then move to the most important question I believe we should ask ourselves: How do we make sure we live a life well lived? And what does that mean on a spiritual level? I share my answer at the end of the episode. I would love to know yours. And if you need to redefine your version of success and you need some help, book a discovery call with me.

EP 109 The Fourth Pillar of Success Without Burnout

The last letter of my EPIC framework to manifest success without burnout is what I call the Triple C: Clarity, Courage and Confidence. They all come under the banner of mindset, which is at least 50% of success. Without the right mindset we often believe that what we want is not for us. We are too young, too old, to rich, too poor. Whatever it is that our limiting beliefs tell us. Suppose you had the energy pillar nailed as well as the prosperity mentality and the intuition, why do you need clarity? Clarity is probably one of the biggest obstacle to manifesting our dreams. I don't know about you but I used to change my mind about what I want so often that I confused myself. That was particularly true when I finished school and had to choose what to study. I had so many ideas. Perhaps for you, it's too many book ideas. And the truth is, you need to choose one and focus on that one long enough to get traction. Even that you need to be clear on. The fact you need to focus on one thing. I use to scatter myself. It is really bad in terms of results. But even getting clarity is not enough. When I do akashic records session, I give clarity to my clients. Unless they have the courage to take action, nothing is going to happen. And then the confidence comes last. Yes, it comes after action. If you wait to have the confidence to do something you are missing what it takes to go after your dreams. What if the action you took is not right? I think of intuition as a satellite navigation system, so it will show you how to redirect. But it won't be able to show you the right way unless you start your car and your journey. Does that make sense? I explore all three aspects of this pillar in this episode. If you believe you need support specifically with your mindset, why not check out my Stop Sabotaging your Success online course. Click here to find out more.

EP 108 The Third Pillar of Success Without Burnout

Intuition is the third pillar of success without burnout. How so? Well intuition enables you to be in the right place at the right time, saving all the effort to get to that place. I experienced that recently in my career as an author. You can buy the Writer's and Artist's yearbook and pitch 100 agents or publishers, or... you can set your intention, write it down and opportunities COME TO YOU when the time is right. You can see how this allows you to have plenty of spare time to rest, reflect or work on your fitness. It's awesome. What is intuition? My definition of intuition is that it is a form of intelligence that does not require thinking. As this is an episode that was released on my Intuitive Revolution in Business podcast in 2021, I talk about my book launch of the book called Intuitive Revolution in Business which I am still incredibly proud of. The book, the decision journal and the intuition tracker are all available on my amazon shop. My Facebook page has been renamed Spiritual Lawyer. My podcast #HighVibeMonday has been discontinued by my podcast The Intuitive Revolution in Business is still available. I encourage you to listen to it as there are many accounts of entrepreneurs' stories around intuition. The more you listen to other people's stories of intuition, the more you will remember yours. And that is the start of the journey of trusting your intuition. In order to make room for intuition we need to both understand the mind and aim at quieting the mind. Intuition whispers. The more noise we have in our heads, the less we can hear it. And then hearing it is not enough. We need to act on it. It is also important to address the fears that will come when you decide to pursue your intuitive gifts. There is always the fear of ridicule. The number of time I have been called irrational by people who did not understand how intuition works is shocking. At the end of the day, though, I was right and that is all that matters. I acted on it and never had to live through regrets.

EP 107 Anxiety, OCD and Spirituality with Chris Mason

Our guest this month is an Anxiety and OCD therapist who shares his journey of curing his OCD. Chris started developing high levels of anxiety from when he started going to school which was fed by some of the stories he was told around religion. He reacted against this by becoming an atheist but the damage was done. He battled intrusive thoughts about death, about hell for years. Even in cartoons that he watched on TV, like the Simpsons these messages about hell were reinforced. There came a point in his life where the fear was so intense that he wasn't functioning. He was obsessing over death. It was during COVID too so he hadn't seen friends in a month. He cried for five hours and then starting wondering if the problem was not death but OCD, so he went on YouTube and found a video by John Glanvill, who was to become his mentor. Slowly, Chris was able to look at his thoughts and question them. He now considers himself an entirely different man. But it took dedication and persistence and he says he is still working on himself. He knew when he watched the first video that the man who had recorded it was going to help him. Some of the things that this man talked about felt too far fetched but because Chris was getting results, he kept with the programme. Part of the work is to face your fears head on and do the things that you have up to now tried to avoid. I met Christ at Toastmasters which he joined long before I did to conquer his fear of public speaking. The idea is to sit with the anxiety rather than try to avoid it by doing some ritual that the ego promises will resolve the issue. As his mentor shared with him how he went to Peru and did ayahuasca, Chris felt the desire to experience something similar, so he found a Magic Mushroom retreat near him. He shared his insights into that experience with us on the podcast. It is now his end goal in life to experience something similar to what he experienced on that retreat without the mushroom. It's still work in progress but his life has been truly changed by the experience, although not as much as he thought it would because he had started doing the work long before turning up at the retreat. Click here to sign up. Prosperity is defined by the Marrian Webster dictionary as "the condition of being successful or thriving, especially by making a lot of money". Abundance, which is a term also widely used in spiritual circles in the context of the law of attraction is defined as "a very large quantity of something". It is interesting that there is no concept of success linked to it, nor of money. And in reality, you could have an abundance of bills or debt. And abundance can have connotations of clutter to me. And lastly, wealth is defined as "a plentiful supply of a particularly desirable thing". This is where the episode about what I call True Prosperity starts. Definitions. And you can see how abundance and wealth don't really fit in my EPIC framework because as such they are not profound enough to lead to success. Prosperity does not necessarily link to materialism, and I like that. Or at least there need not be. The notion of money is added towards the end of the definition more as an example. i also talk about perfectionism because perfectionists could be prosperous and successful and yet not feel the success and prosperity attached to it. They simply move the goalpost as soon as they reach it. And that of course, can lead to burnout. We need to talk about success when we talk about prosperity because it is an entirely personal notion. I invite you to reflect on what success means to you. In the third part of the podcast, I talk about manifesting. This is a topic I already touched upon in Episode 32 titled the Gentle Art of Manifesting. Forgiveness and gratitude are two pillars of prosperity. If we hold grudges about people, we hold our prosperity back. If we are not grateful for what we already have, same.

EP 105 The First Pillar of Success Without Burnout

Before we start, can I remind you of my upcoming webinar on the 14th of October at 7 pm UK time, that you can sign up for by joining my newsletter with this link. Energy is like gravity. You don't need to believe it in order for it to affect your every day life. Are we taught about energy in school though? No. This episode will make up for that grave deficiency. It all stems from the energy field that is around us that the new age world calls the aura. We have seen in a previous episode about the Freemasons, that they also refer to that energy. It is here to protect us. it is also here to help us keep safe by allowing us to feel what is around us and hence sense danger. Our aura is directly linked to that gut feeling that tells us that someone is watching us behind us. In this episode, I share how our auras work, how it can become unbalanced, and how we connect energetically to other people, including people when we first meet them. And that energetic connection is what is behind our instant likes or dislikes of people. The English language reflects that reality through expressions like "being on the same wave length". I find it fascinating. I also explains what cords are and how these cords can affect our energy. This ties into what I discussed in last week's episode about energy vampires but even people who are not energy vampires can cord you, especially if they want to manipulate you. These cords can also come from our own habitual thoughts. So it's important to get an energy cleanse to be able to think in different ways, especially if our thinking and our beliefs do not support our goals. This is pillar number one of the EPIC framework that I use to support my clients reach new levels of success without burning out. Next week we will explore pillar number 2.

EP 104 How to Deal with Energy Vampires?

You may have heard the expression "Energy Vampires". It refers to people who suck you dry and leave you feeling exhausted and sometimes even depressed after you spend any amount of time with them. In this episode, I am going to give you my best tips on how to deal with them. Energy vampires don't only affect our lives, they also affect our businesses and careers. They can also affect you without you even speaking to them. Not that I want you to panic, but it happened to me once. Just someone driving down the road who became aggravated because I wasn't driving through a traffic light. She poured insults at me and when she drove off, I felt myself again. There is more to the story, so please listen to the episode. I also explain why energy vampires do what they do. I give four steps on how to manage energy vampires and give a lot of examples regarding how they might affect your success. Step 1 is to refrain from engaging in their negativity and I illustrate how to do this in the episode. Step 2 is to limit how much time you spend with them. Step 3 is to let them know the things you will not tolerate. Step 4 is to suggest ways they can help themselves. If you want to be able to ask me questions and learn about three more unusual ways to avoid burn out, why not sign up for my business newsletter so that you can receive the link to sign up for my signature webinar called 4 unusual ways to prevent burnout on your path to success.

EP 103 The True Face of Freemasonry with Darren Burke

After the last two episodes that explored the Templars and Freemasonry, I thought it would be beneficial to interview a real life Freemason. Darren and I met about six months ago when I posted in a local Facebook group asking who could fix my crystal bracelets and the rest is history. Darren joined Freemasonry due to a good friend of his, which is actually quite typical of this organisation, even though I don't think it is in their ethos to push it in other people's faces. He trusted that friend and joined his local lodge about eight years ago and has now reached Master level. I found my discussion with Darren to be incredibly refreshing as he shared openly about his experience, what it's been like and why he has stayed so long. We also talked about a spiritual experience that he calls his awakening and how this led him to various paths, amongst others reiki and massage, whilst holding a job in corporate at the same time. To Darren, but it also surfaced from the book I read for last week's episode, Freemasonry is about finding your true self. You can find Darren on Instagram and Facebook. If you are local to Bristol, you can also find his bracelets and necklaces in some shops. Feel free to reach out to him to ask him where.

EP 102 Freemasonry Myths and Truths

In this episode I explore Freemasonry, as a logical follow up topic from my episode on the Knights Templar last week. My research has centered around a book published in 1922 by an author called W. L. Wilmshurst and a book published by an author called Michel Maffesoli who is a former French freemason and professor of sociology. It was an interesting exploration of this organisation that made me realise that there are actually two schools of freemasonry that are quite different, called Anglo-American and Continental. I discuss the differences between these organisations in the episode. Before diving into this secret world, which I need to say I am not a part of, I had no idea how spiritual the core of Anglo-American masonry was but also the influence it has had on theosophy and the new age movement. It incorporates many notions from astrology and numerology. Their understanding of numbers even tie in to Angel Numbers, which is an episode i invite you to listen to if you have not already. The creator of the Rider-Waite deck, which is a classic tarot deck used by teachers around the world, was himself a freemason which explains the symbology of the High Priestess card, in particular. You may not know that I used to be a tarot teacher and have a self study course about the tarot. If you are interested, please free to use the contact form on this website to enquire about it. I also want to invite you to explore the three episodes I did about the tarot (Episodes 34, 35 and 36).

EP 101 Knight Templars Truths and Myths

The main reason I wanted to do an episode about the Knights Templar is that I have been fascinated by them since childhood. However, in addition to that, when I did the Psychic Business Academy in 2017, I discovered that my protector guide was a Knight Templar called Antoine. I was also told by my Reiki Master that I had been a Templar in a past life. It all started making a lot more sense. I have researched the Templars for this episode and wanted to give credit to Michael Haag's book on the topic. The basics is that the Order of the Knight Templars was founded in 1119 in Jerusalem and that the Templars who were both Knights and Monks, had the mission of protecting pilgrims from Europe who went to Jerusalem. However, they also became an incredibly powerful financial organisation that spanned from Britain to Egypt. Their bravery was legendary. On the 13th of October 1307, which happened to be a Friday, Templars were arrested throughout France and charged with heresy, obscenity, homosexuality and idol worship. The Grand Master, Jacques de Molay was burnt at the stake on a small island near the Ile de la Cite in Paris. In 2007, the Vatican published a document called the Chinon Parchment that cleared the Templars of all charges. In the episode I explore eight conspiracy theories about the Templars and use the tarot to find out what was true and what was not. One of the things that transpired from these tarot readings was that the Freemasons are indeed historically linked to the Templars, which really excites me as I have planned to have a Freemason on the podcast as our guest for this month of August. If you would like me to connect you to your protector guide, why not book a session with me. Click this link to pay.

EP 100 Highlights from the Podcast

We did something a bit different for episode 100. I invited my business bestie, Stephanie Kakris, to discuss the top four episodes on the podcast and have a general conversation about why I created it and what my plans are moving forward. Only 6.17% podcasts make it to episode 100 so I am incredibly proud of this achievement.  The four most popular episodes to date are the following:  #1 EP 45: Five Things  You Need to Know About Energy #2 EP 49: The Spirit World #3 EP 48: Dancing in the Light #4 EP 50: Why I no longer refer to the divine feminine As it happens, the episode is released on the Lion's Gate, i.e. the 8th of August (8/8) which is considered a powerful portal by the spiritual community, so Stephanie and I also had a chat about that and the great opportunity that it presents. We could not talk about the Lion's Gate without mentioning my power animal, a Lion who likes to be called King Lion as opposed to the Lion King. He appeared to me in a meditation over ten years ago but the story about him keeps unfolding in interesting and mysterious ways. A couple of years ago, as I went through my first regression session with a hypnotherapist and was walking down some steps that lead me to a past life, I saw King Lion walking down the steps by my side. As we arrived at the bottom of the staircase, I was shown a roman arena and realised I was to be sacrificed in the Lion's Den. That's when King Lion turned to me and told me "This is where we first met. You were my breakfast that day. You tasted rather nice so I decided to become your guide." If you would like me to connect you to your spirit guide or power animal, book your session with this link.

EP 99 The Secret Life of Trees

This episode was inspired by a fellow Toastmasters who did a speech on how beneficial walking in forests had been for his mental health. But it's also been inspired by my childhood love of forests – particularly the Asterix and Obelix comics. And if it wasn't enough, I had an experience with my son as we visited Bowood when he was 6 or 7. To my astonishment, he reported to me how distressed the trees were in that park and how most of them were very sad. Only one "baby" tree seemed to be ok. My son, in his powerful autism, was genuinely connecting to the feelings of trees. Since them forest science has made leaps and bounds and it has been recognised that trees have feelings and so much more. This episode summarises what forest scientist have come to understand about tree and ends with a tree meditation to help you connect to this beautiful communities. If you would like to purchase any of my guided meditations, contact me through this form or book a discovery call.
