Tonight, we are going to be reviewing everything that is known about this incident and call it what it is.

Episode 319 Mental Health Monday No Regrets
There are entirely too many people who are living their lives with regrets and nothing more. The weight of regret has many stuck in analysis paralysis because they lived a life that was “safe” as if that makes sense since we are all going to die. The question is, WHY? We fear criticism, rejection, failure, and never step out of ourselves and live with intention. In this episode, we are going to discuss what it means to live a life that is full so we can die free of regret.

Episode 318 Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) introduced a House Bill criminalizing “conspiracy to commit white supremacy,” which includes criticism of non-white people which influences an individual to commit a hate crime. The legislation, H.R.61 “Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023,” introduced last Monday by Democratic congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, seeks to “prevent and prosecute white supremacy inspired hate crime and conspiracy to commit white supremacy inspired hate crime.” Tonight, we are going to discuss Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee’s house bill and its implications on the First Amendment.

Episode 316 Media Mashup; Classified Hypocrisy
There is almost no way to keep up with all of the news that is presented on the television and social media, that is designed to create political, racial, religious, and any other ideology when you are doing 3 shows a week. It’s because of that, instead of doing the normal media mashup show where I cover all of the big stories in the news, I’m dedicating this one to the biggest story that has dominated the news cycle this week and has, once again, voters comparing which party is less corrupt. The media and voters, on both sides of the isle, are displaying “Classified Hypocrisy” as they are comparing the Biden classified document dump to that of Trump. Tonight, we will do the same with the hopes, by the end, everyone can agree that both sides are wrong and it’s ridiculous to compare who did “more wrong.”

Episode 315 Politics Are Exhausting…and That’s the Point
This week, as with every week, politicians are showing us exactly how out of touch they are with the American people. Joe Biden visited the Southern Border for the first time in his presidency after over two years in office. Sadly, his sanitized visit will not bear any fruit for the United States but looks promising if you are an illegal immigrant. In the latest panic, Democrats are taking on gas stoves as the next big threat to this country; not illegal immigration, fentanyl overdoses, inflation, or transportation issues (like this morning); but the gas stove. Lastly, I’m going to wrap up the show pointing out how covering politics is an exhausting profession; I’m tired of both sides.

Episode 314 Mental Health Monday Professional Victims
It appears self-identifying as a “victim” has gotten more and more popular in the United States. I’m astonished with the amount of whining, blaming, accusing, and bellyaching that I’m seeing on a daily basis on social media and the news; it seems playing the victim is the latest fashion trend that people are lining up to try on. More and more professional victims are demanding your attention, and the attention of everyone around them, because they are more important than you. Tonight, we are going to be discussing professional victims and how we can avoid stepping into that darkness on this Mental Health Monday.

Ep 313 Media Mash-up: Southern Border, Omnibus Spending Bill, & Sexualizing Children
The southern border is, once again, in the news with the revelation the POTUS is going to visit after 2 years into his administration. For 2 years we have been hearing the border is not a crisis but now there is a change in tune. But not when you look at the funding we are dedicating to the border security of every other country but ours. In our last segment, we will be discussing how the sexualization of our children is gradually getting worse.

Episode 312 A Lie is a Lie
Everyone believes politicians lie. They believe that all of them lie. Republicans lie, Democrats lie-it is a bipartisan problem. Politics is a profession and it should be of grave concern that there is no real means by which politicians are disciplined for telling fibs in the public domain as other professionals might be. Their voters relentlessly defend their candidate’s lies by comparing the amount of lies told versus their opponents. We seem to have forgotten that a lie is a lie regardless of the intent behind it. Tonight, we are going to discuss the lying in politics and present the question “When is enough, enough?”

Episode 311 2023 Can Be Better than 2022
Happy New Year! Congratulations on making it through an “interesting” 2022 and I’d like to wish you health, wealth, and happiness in your upcoming 2023. Now is the time of the year people make new year’s resolutions with the intent to create a “new year, new me”; statistically, most will not stick with their resolutions beyond Valentine’s Day. Tonight, we are going to reflect on 2022 and prepare our minds for 2023 as we begin the year off with our very first Mental Health Monday of the year.

Episode 310 Griner’s Release and Reaction; Trump and the Constitution
There has been a TON of reaction to the news WNBA star Brittney Griner was released from Russian prison in a prisoner exchange with Viktor Bout. People are asking why a WNBA player and not a former Marine? Tonight, we are going to answer that question and present my perspective on the story that some are overlooking. Also, Trump sent out a social media post on Truth Social that has some questioning if Trump is now calling for the suspension of the Constitution to put him back in power. We will also be trying to present the case on this story. Lastly, if time permits, I want to discuss the arrogance of the United States government thinking they should have influence in other country’s laws.

Episode 309 Is Free Speech Dead?
The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech. There are many State Constitutions that also protects the freedom of speech as well. Is there an argument to be made the concept of free speech has become lost in the very psyche of the American people? Recent events in our news shows that free speech may not be necessarily dead, but it certainly appears to be mortally wounded. Tonight, we are going to be examine the concept of the Constitutional protection granted in the 1st Amendment and make the case that free speech is selective depending on your political affiliation.

Episode 308 Liabetes-22
Since mid-2020 we have been hearing about existential threats to the world, society, this country, and even democracy. We’ve heard non-stop about the pandemic of COVID and the pandemic of the unvaccinated. Guns are a public health threat, and the sky is expected to fall any moment. Could it be we have another pandemic, or epidemic (depending on how you feel about global leaders) on the horizon? Some will argue that we do, and it’s called Liabetes-22 which is, according to the Urban Dictionary, as “a transferrable disease relating to compulsive lying about any and all subjects. Tonight, we are going to be discussing the unbelievable lies that politicians and the media have all been given a pass from the American People.

Episode 307 The 2nd Amendment Debate
Sadly, last week, we saw 2 more mass shootings take the lives of innocent people in senseless acts of violence. Instead of blaming the suspects for their crimes and disregard for human decency, politicians and the drive-by media are ONCE AGAIN blaming the weapon. Former Vice-President Joe Biden is back for another sound byte as he is apparently eyeing the desire to ban all semi-automatic weapons; not just the scary looking “assault weapons.” Tonight, we are going to be discussing the continued debate on the U.S. Constitution’s 2nd Amendment and the reactions from both sides of the isle.

Episode 306 The Holidays Can Be Difficult
As we step into this holiday season of joy, family, friends, and fellowship; there are many people who find this time of the year the hardest and no one knows but them. Either they are mourning the loss of a loved one; being a family member, friend, or both, or they are struggling with their health, finances, or are already survivors of depression. On tonight’s show I’m going to be talking to all of you who are having a hard time wrapping your minds, hearts, and arms around the holidays. You are going through something right now and maybe it’s too much to expect the “expected” response during the holidays. It’s okay, I understand. Tonight, we are going to discuss some of the reasons that hinder our holidays and what we can do to overcome them.

Episode 305 Politics and Crime; MAGA Morons Are Governing America
Once again, we are seeing politics as usual with a new political party running the House of Representatives. The troubling aspect of all of this is the focus of these politicians does not align with the problems we are facing as a nation. On tonight’s show, we will be discussing the increase in crime in the U.S. that have been spurred by progressive liberal policies like bail reform and defunding police; I’ll present examples. 25 cadets were mowed down by a driver in L.A. County while out for a group run, Republicans have announced a series of investigations into the Biden family.

Episode 304 Texas Invasion and Title 42; He’s Back - MAGAGA?
Tonight, we have a packed show. Just when you thought the news couldn’t get any worse for border states, more notably Texas, a federal judge has ordered an end to Title 42 Asylum Restrictions that have been in place since the 2020. Texas Governor Gregg Abbot has declared an invasion at Texas’ southern border to try to squelch the record numbers of illegal contacts. Later in the show, we will be discussing Teflon Don’s announcement for his bid for the 2024 election. Last, we will cover the latest information released surrounding the Jan 6 riots in D.C.

Episode 303 Self-Accountability and Self-Responsibility; The H-Trainwreck UPDATE
FOLLOW-UP SHOW FROM Episode 275 The H-Trainwreck Show, Stolen Valor? In the land where there seems to be a shortage of self-responsibility and self-accountability, tonight I’m going to share with you a brick that fits perfectly into the wall of BS that Joel Hunt has created for himself. The only purpose of this show tonight is to discuss the mental health aspects of self-responsibility as well as self-accountability since there has been an UPDATE to the H-Stain’s story since we last reported in August. In effort to be transparent and honest, I will once again present the NEW known facts and after tonight, I’ll be done…unless Joel or his minions want to push some more. Let’s see what new developments have been presented and learn at the same time.

Episode 302 Veteran’s Day and News
Today is the day where veterans across the United States, in unison, change their social media profiles to either their own military picture or that of a family member in a subtle way of letting you know you are welcome for their service. Today we are going to honor those veterans with a Veteran’s Day segment; then, we will jump into the news of the week discussing how the political landscape changes after the midterms. Last, we will cover some of the local news in the nation that SHOULD be national news.

Episode 301 Midterm Election Takeaways
The highly predicted, and expected, “RED WAVE” by political commentators has revealed itself to be very underwhelming for many, unless you live in Florida. The current, known, results in the midterms has revealed a lot about this nation. Instead of a rebuke on Biden/Democratic policies, the current election results show the voters in this nation are as divided as ever. Tonight, we are going to be discussing some of the current results and identifying the problem with both parties’ campaigns. In my final segment, I’m going to go on the record about the anticipated announcement coming from DJT and his potential bid for POTUS in 2024.

Episode 300 Defining Success
I can’t believe I’m here at EPISODE 300! Tonight we are going to begin the show with a little history for those who haven’t been with me from Episode #1. I want to take a journey down memory lane to help you, and I, remember and understand why I continue to do The Phillip D. Blackmon Show. HOWEVER, I also thought this would be a great show to kick off this next season with a deliberate conversation about success, how we define it, how others define it for us, and how our success measures up with society’s definition.

Episode 299 Politicizing Violence
Almost everyone can agree that senseless acts of violence are unacceptable, and our nation of law and order, there is no room for political violence. However, there is equally less room for politicizing violence and alienating a segment of American voters based off the actions of one individual; one does not represent many. Since the HORRIBLE attack on Paul Pelosi, there have been large amounts of finger-pointing and conspiracy theories offered to advance a political talking point. This needs to stop! Tonight, we are going to be discussing the politicization of violence and the known details on the brutal attack on Paul Pelosi.

Episode 298 Mental Health Monday; Holiday Blues
With tonight being Halloween, I’m recognizing October 31 as the beginning of the holiday season although many wait until November 1 before making such a proclamation. Whenever you “officially” recognize the start of the holiday season, it is important to keep in mind that not everyone is as excited for this time of year because it brings a lot of unwanted stress, anxiety, and depression. Although not a diagnosable condition, the holiday blues affects roughly 64% of people according to a 2015 study conducted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Tonight, we are going to discuss this phenomenon in hopes we can keep you on the side of joy you desire this season.

Episode 297 Media Mashup; Overreaction Nation
This week has presented us with some very strange stories that are almost too ironic to pay attention to. This week, Rep Jayapal released, then retracted, then blamed her staff for a letter she wrote and had endorsed by MANY members of her party. Due to the outrage and overreaction, she has tried to distance herself from her own words; but why? Also, later in the show, we are going to be discussing the latest developments in the discussion of allowing transgender athletes to compete in sports divisions that differ from their biological birth.

Episode 296 Planting the Seeds of Doubt for 2022 and 2024
Last Friday, former first-lady, Secretary of State, and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton asserted Republicans are plotting to “steal the next presidential election.” She has not been de-platformed nor has any democratic leader spoken out against this toxic narrative she is painting. We have been told it is un-American to question the integrity of our elections or to make baseless claims without proof spreading lies and misinformation. Tonight, if social media doesn’t block my show due to the content, I’m going to cover the one-sided hypocrisy among our political elite when expressing concerns about our democracy.

All proceeds from this event will go to the Indian Springs Special Needs Campground; a 501 (c) 3 organization who also hosts severely disabled veterans, and their families, by bringing them out to enjoy nature, hunting, camping, fishing, brotherhood, and espirit de corps all in the environment of love and understanding. In our final show before the festival we will be speaking with musical artists Jack Barksdale and Ryan Culwell as we are all getting ready for the event.

Episode 293 Mental Health Monday; Unsolicited Advice
As a student of life, I’ve learned that free advice is worth exactly what it costs and YET there are more than enough people willing to hand it out. Are you guilty of giving unsolicited advice like you posses the keys to the mint? Usually, advice freely given is intended to be helpful. On this show, I offer guidance and suggestions and present myself as an idea fairy, an outsider with a limited perspective on other’s personal situations. We all are guilty of giving that free, unsolicited, advice from time to time without ever thinking about the mental toll on the unwanted receiver. Tonight, we are going to be discussing the practice of giving unsolicited advice and how to protect ourselves from becoming a habitual offender.

Episode 292 Reshaping America; Manufactured Outrage
Once again, the Democrats have pulled out their distraction playbook. This time they are putting a full court press on Americans who pay attention to dysfunction in Washington D.C. The main-stream media and the political left are constantly putting on a show of political outrage. 2016 left them stunned. They don’t know how to react to Trump’s victory, so this is what we get. Their behavior is an acting job for cameras and reporters. It’s as if they think Americans have nothing better to do than sit idly by and wait on the next thing to be as outraged as they are about. When they don’t get the reaction they are seeking, they turn up the rhetoric by manufacturing lies and propaganda in hopes it will serve as a convenient distraction for what is really going on. Tonight, I’m going to cover the manufactured outrage that we are witnessing from the political left and their media machine. It’s starting to unravel in their face because Americans are waking up.

Episode 291 Mental Health Monday; The News is Harmful
It can feel important to stay informed on current events when negative incidents are happening, particularly when there are important updates or restrictions announced. The way we consume news has also changed significantly over the past decade or two. Thanks to social media, we now have news at our fingertips all day, every day. While this makes current news events accessible in a multitude of formats - whether that be articles, videos, podcasts or infographics - it can make it feel inescapable yielding to higher rates of depression and anxiety. Tonight, we are going to discuss our need to take control of our mental health by controlling what we expose ourselves to; it may be time to take a break from being so well informed

Episode 290 Biden’s Crisis at the Border
Since Biden took office the media, and the administration, have worked overtime to avoid talking about the problems at the southern border. Since January 20, 2020, the mainstream media has provided minimal coverage on the border crisis raging at the U.S. southern border. HOWEVER, major left-leaning media networks ran wall-to-wall coverage of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ move to send migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, far exceeding media minutes spent on immigration in the past year; I guess money can buy attention. This administration has seemingly worked overtime to avoid discussing the “turd in the punchbowl” and doing their absolute best to convince America there is no border crisis although thousands of migrants, thousands of pounds of fentanyl, and hundreds of migrants are literally dying to get to this country. Tonight, we are going to cover the crisis at our southern border, the hypocrisy of these “sanctuary cities”, and the administration lack attention of the fentanyl coming into this country.

Episode 289 Reshaping America: Rebranding Pedophilia
Do you know about MAPs? No, I am not talking about geographical identities. A MAP (Minor Attracted Persons) is, in fact, a rebranding pedophiles are trying to give themselves. Yes, these are people who are attracted to children below the age of consent. MAP as a community, openly admits to having sexual feelings towards underage children and wish to normalize this so-called attraction. MAPs argue that they should not be villainized as long as their attraction is not acted upon, or in some cases where they have consent from the child. Tonight, we are going to be discussing this rebranding in our continued series Reshaping America; Normalizing Pedophilia.

Episode 288 Mental Health Monday; Life and What Matters Most
What really matters in your life? When you were a child, did anyone tell you? If that did not happen, it should have. Knowing what really matters in life helps you create a blueprint for your future. Life is generally important. But what makes life important are those positive incidences contained in life. There are so many of them. And while they glitter, people tend to get carried away from the most important things. What is considered important in life may be subject to an instant peculiar circumstance. Tonight, we are going to explore this idea and offer insight to help you find your footing by asking the right questions first.

Episode 287 The Political Military; We Are in Trouble
The primary political problem to be addressed in a liberal democracy is how to ensure that a standing military does not become dangerous to the liberties of those they are to protect, especially guarding against the threat of military coups. The question is of ancient pedigree and caused much debate during the framing of the American Constitution. Tonight, we are going to be discussing the politicization of our military resulting in anemic recruiting numbers and a mass exodus of senior leaders from the military. This woke military cannot fight and win our nation’s wars; we are in trouble.

Episode 285 Mental Health Monday; Positively Productive w/ Lisa Zawrotny
Our mental health affects all aspects of our lives; there is no greater impact than on our own productivity as employers, employees, spouses, parents, friends etc. When the conversation of mental health comes up, we typically talk about signs, symptoms, addictions, causes, and how to live with it; but we rarely discuss how our mental health affects our productivity levels. Tonight, we are joined by Lisa Zawrotny, the founder of Positively Productive Systems, host of the Positively Living™ Podcast, and a Productivity + Accountability Coach certified in positive psychology and stress management to discuss how our mental health and productivity are synergistic in our daily lives.

Episode 252 The Gun Control Farce
Over the past several years, the political left, led by Joe Biden, have been calling for more gun control measures in an effort to stop mass shootings. Joe Biden even went so far as to say “gun violence is a public health epidemic” perhaps setting the stage for government overreach, once again, like we saw from 2020 in response to another public health emergency that cannot be named on many streaming platforms. With the tragedies in Buffalo, NY and Uvalde, Tx and the strings of shootings over Memorial Day weekend, we are seeing more and more politicians, the media, and reactionary citizens calling for more gun control in a knee-jerk reaction falsely claiming more gun control will stop criminals and mass shootings. Tonight, I’m going to destroy the narrative

Episode 284 Reshaping America: Redefining Language
Words matter, whether you are saying them in front of a camera, to a room full of attendees, to an online audience, to members of a board, to your co-workers, to your clients, to your stakeholders, or to an entire nation. Words are not inherently offensive. Words mean nothing without context around them. The context is what really determines what that word means. Continuing our Reshaping America Series, tonight, we are going to discuss how we are seeing a continued reshaping of this once-great nation by deliberately redefining words for the sole intent to normalize lunacy in our society.
-
37
Episode 283 The Soul of a Nation
Last night, America sat and listened to one of the most dangerous political speeches given by a sitting President in recent history; perhaps our entire history. Joe Biden deliberately, and irresponsibility, branded anyone who disagrees with his party as a threat to this nation, a threat to democracy. It was so bad that even the drive-by media had to stop and take notice of the rhetoric that was presented to the American people with one of the ominous political backdrops imaginable, members of the US military. Tonight, we are going to discuss Biden’s speech he named “The Soul of a Nation” and explore why his speech is so dangerous for roughly HALF of America.

Episode 282 Reshaping America; Government vs We the People
Continuing my “Reshaping America” series, tonight, I am going to shift my focus on the behavior of the US Government and the obvious truth that so many refuse to see; the government does not care about you, only their growing power. We are watching, in real time, the government grow their power and weaponize their agencies against the very citizenry they took an oath to protect; the citizenry who is not in lockstep with their narrative and agenda are called terrorists. They are growing, and arming, their agencies like the FBI, DOJ, IRS, and DHS to swiftly move in silence and label any dissenter as an agent of Russia or a domestic terrorist. Tonight, I’m going to be a dissenter and show you what the government is doing to this once-great nation.

Episode 281 Mental Health Monday Resilience
Life is full of peaks and valleys with so much thrown at us that is beyond our control. Although we don’t have complete control over our lives, with time, we can develop the resilience to overcome life’s greatest challenges. In order to see the next day, we must maintain strong resilience in our lives to ensure not only our survival and happiness, but our most important attribute, our mental health. Tonight, we are going to examine our own resilience and provide ways for you to build that important muscle in your mind.

Episode 280 Media Mash-up; Government to the Rescue
At a press conference on August 12th, 1986, US President Ronald Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’” This week’s news has been dominated by Joe Biden announced a federal student loan relief plan that, once again, has voters divided by political lines. We are going to be examining what we know and what we don’t about his plan. Also, in the ongoing saga of Texas vs the Federal Government surrounding abortion rights in Texas, there have been some interesting developments this week that is sure to keep the fight ongoing. Lastly, in our final segment, we are going to be looking at the origins of a saying that some may call “foul”.

Episode 279 Reshaping America; Gender Identity and the Classroom
Classroom instruction and discussion by school personnel, or third party, on sexual orientation or gender identity is taking place across the nation and it’s doing more harm that good to our children. Children are learning there are more than 70 terms that describe gender identity and expression before they learn to count to 70. There is a deliberate effort to champion, or create, gender dysphoria in our children, often too early, and to provide experimental puberty blockers and procedures that are irreversible thereby causing permanent damage to a child before they see adulthood. Contrary to the lack of evidence that supports this campaign, parents, teachers, and politicians are giving consent for life-altering procedures on someone who still believes in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Tonight, we are going to be discussing gender dysphoria, and the effects it is having on our children.

The PDB Show: Ep 278 Brain Health Monday: From Socially Distanced to Socially Awkward
As a modern human species, January 2020 was a moment in most of our lives where we saw a pandemic take over the world and new behaviors emerged as a result. Over two years of mixed pandemic messaging, conversation, censorship, and threats have wreaked havoc with the nation’s mental health. The psychological challenges of a years-long pandemic are huge, but many practitioners feel they aren’t being addressed at all. The issue that I haven’t read a lot about, in relation to reintegrating after the lockdowns, is the psychological distress brought on by making major readjustments in life called re-entry syndrome. Tonight, we are going to address this phenomenon and how it relates to people who are struggling to reintegrate back into a post-pandemic society.

The PDB Show: Ep 277 Political Accountability and the DOJ; Unequal Application?
Since Monday, after the FBI’s raid on Former President Trump home, there have been countless commentators flooding the airwaves celebrating, or condemning, the concept of justice and how it has been applies to political figures. Some argue the Department of Justice is another arm of the Democratic party utilized to silence political opponents. Based off their recent history, it is a PLAUSABLE argument that we are going to explore tonight.
