    Season Finale: That's A Wrap

In this season finale episode, Tanya and Melanie look back on some of their favorite conversations, the episodes that impacted them most, and the moments that made them laugh, think deeper, and grow along the way.   From spirituality and healing to relationships, identity, intuition, and the beautifully messy parts of being human, they reflect on what they’ve loved most about creating the podcast together and the unique dynamic they bring as a duo.   This episode is part reflection, part celebration, and part behind-the-scenes glimpse into the friendship, honesty, and conversations that shape the show.   Thank you for listening, sharing, and growing with us this season, we can’t wait for what’s next.

  2. 99

    Women Who Remember

In this episode, Tanya and Melanie explore the power of women’s stories, oral tradition, and the wisdom that has been passed down through generations outside of history books. The conversation begins with the idea that women’s voices, experiences, and contributions may have been erased, overlooked, or softened throughout history — and how storytelling became a way of preserving truth, intuition, survival, and connection.   Inspired by themes from Women Who Run With the Wolves, they reflect on the importance of remembering the wild, instinctive parts of ourselves and the role stories play in helping women reconnect to who they are beneath conditioning and expectation.   Tanya also shares pieces of her own personal evolution and relationship to her history, creating a conversation that is both deeply reflective and universally relatable.   This episode is about memory, identity, feminine wisdom, and the stories that continue to live through us.

  3. 98

The Demons That Shape Your Reality

In this solo episode, Melanie explores the shadow side of the chakra system through the teachings of Anodea Judith, diving into how the “demons” of the chakras influence the energetic field we live from every day.   From fear, control, people pleasing, perfectionism, and emotional attachment, Melanie shares how our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and nervous system patterns create a magnetic field that shapes the reality we experience.   This episode explores how we unconsciously recreate familiar emotional states, why change can feel threatening even when we deeply want it, and how attachment to comfort, identity, and old patterns can quietly keep us stuck.   Melanie also shares reflections on why we often grow right to the edge of transformation… only to stop ourselves there — and what it actually takes to shift the field and create change from a more conscious place.   This conversation blends spirituality, energetic awareness, nervous system insight, and grounded self-inquiry for anyone feeling stuck between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming.

  4. 97

    Imagination & Intuition

Over the course of many years and many readings I have noticed an incredibly important link between developing your imagination in tandem with your intuition. They are collaborative skills that interact and interrelate. Join me as we discuss how to strengthen your intuition by way of tapping into imagination.

  5. 96

    Hex, Sex & Toxic Traits

We had some laughs while exploring our toxic traits - and natural digressed (as we do) into various other topics including the moral debate of whether it's okay to hex/curse people and send out bad juju, the power of sex magick - and some other fun twists and turns along the way. A little bit of spring spice!

  6. 95

Maybe Later - Powered by Procrastination

In this episode, Melanie opens up about her relationship with procrastination - something she once wore as a badge of honor. But underneath it, she discovered something deeper: a quiet collection of unbirthed ideas, held back by limiting beliefs and subtle patterns of self-protection.   This conversation explores what’s really driving procrastination, the beliefs that keep it in place, and what happens when you begin to see it not as a flaw, but as a signal.

Voicenote for my Spiritual Boss Besties

This is more-or-less a stream of consciousness and a candid and vulnerable share of where I'm (Tanya) at with life specifically around career pursuits and motherhood. I guess it's just my podcast equivalent to Reba McIntyre's "Is There Life Out There" and unpacking some feelings of grief around life stages that have passed. I wish it was a bit more enlightening or insightful, but if you're down to just hang out and listen in camaraderie please feel welcome.

  8. 93

    The Fall of the Guru

This is a conversation about discernment. About taking your power back and how to avoid giving it away in the first place. As soon as we position someone on a pedestal or hand our power over to them, we set ourselves (and them) up for ultimate failure.

  9. 92

Trying Everything: What Menopause Taught Me About My Body with Julie Boake

In this episode of The Spiritual Boss Podcast, I sit down with Julie Boake, a corporate marketing professional who is in the thick of navigating body and hormone changes from menopause. Trying what felt like everything to balance her hormones and bring her body back to the home she once knew, she found incredible insight in an unconventional path.  Our conversation isn't filled with quick fixes, it's sharing what we have done that is working and what we've done that hasn't worked.  Whether you're in peri, menopause or simply curious about what your later life looks like as a female, Julie's openness offers validation, insight and a reminder that there isn't one thing that works for every body through this change.

  10. 91

If this New Year isn't giving "New You"

Usually January comes with an onslaught of goals, ambitions, and new year's resolutions. All the things we want to create and be in the coming year. There are, however, a handful of us that just aren't feeling that same fire and push to get in gear. Perhaps there's another pathway for those that are lagging a little on their New Year's vibe.

  11. 90

Less Is More: What We're Getting Rid Of

In this episode of The Spiritual Boss, Tanya and Melanie explore what they're consciously letting go of, making space around and completing to bring more clarity and presence this year.  Mel shares how completing unfinished projects has become a powerful practice in closing energetic loops and freeing up mental and emotional space. Tanya reflects on her intention to step away from phone distractions and reclaim her time and mental peace.  This conversation is a reminder that change doesn't always equal doing more - sometimes it comes from taking things away and making space for more to come in.

  12. 89

2026 Predictions with Psychic Medium Tammy Toch

Psychic Medium Tammy Toch is back with more predictions for 2026 as well as a wrap for 2025! In this episode, Tammy talks about what she got right from last year's predictions and what we're going to see from 2026. This is an episode you don't want to miss - there is hope coming with a very different energy than we've been experiencing about to happen.

  13. 88

    Why Am I Yelling?

What are the realistic expectations of being a parent of young children? Of me, as their parent... as them as my kids that are slowly developing their sense of independence.  "I'm not a yeller" ... and yet. Here we are. I'm yelling.  What do our proclamations really reveal about ourselves. Are those announcements true - or are they trying to inform us of where we are trying to convince ourselves of something?

  14. 87

Reiki to Awaken Your Intuitive Eye

A Reiki self treatment for inner visualization.  Guided visualization, but make it stressful? The number one complaint I hear from people is that they can't visualize and it becomes frustrating to try. Most of us struggle to "see" anything but the back of our eyelids. You are not a lost cause. You can strengthen your inner eye and watch your visualizations come to life in surprising ways.  In this episode, Melanie takes the listeners on a guided visualization meant to balance the chakra centres and open the third eye. Learning to see without seeing is a unique skill that can open up your intuition and awaken the relationship you have with your body's energy system.

  15. 86

    Manifesting is a Luxury

Have you ever felt frustrated by people who could manifest easily? These people seem like magnets for their desires, while you seem more like a repellent. Manifesting is a luxury that happens from a balanced nervous system and safe lower chakras. If you are in a place where your focus is on survival, you need to start the manifestation from there.  If you've felt blocked at manifestation, you might find some clues inside this episode to move beyond what's been happening and onto what is coming.

  16. 85

    Battle of the Brain Demons

We are all running around with those shitty narratives and voices in our heads that try to make us feel like we're... what? Worthless, inadequate, unloved... Any number of things, but definitely leave us feeling less than.  This episode is a personal share/storytime about the impact of those brain demons. How they are showing up at this phase of life and through current circumstances.  There's no lecture, no advice on conquering, just a vulnerable share to open a space for community and similar experiences.

  17. 84

Brands Built on Radical Honesty - Feat: Stephanie Rose

Stephanie Rose of Westrose media joins the podcast for an episode that dives into how the radical acceptance of self can create the ultimate brand and business.  Steph leaves no room for BS - not with your clients, and especially not with yourself.  How can you dig into to your honest desires and radical truths to build a business you're proud of? Stephanie has some insight, tune in to learn more.

  18. 83

Yoga Nidra: The Art of Unlearning

In this episode, Melanie explores how yoga nidra helps you to relax the cage of the mind - your thoughts, stories and survival patterns that keep you living from the past. Sharing how deep rest opens the door to new information and new ways of being.  If you've ever felt trapped by your own thoughts and repeat patterns, this episode will offer the medicine that exists within being still, relaxed and aware.

  19. 82

    Spooky Stories

We've made this a little tradition here at the Spiritual Boss. A little spooky story telling to get us in the mood before Halloween begins. Drop us a DM and tell us your spooky stories! We want to add to our archives.

  20. 81

Energetics of Earning - How your money story affects your income

Money isn’t just numbers, it’s energy. During this episode of The Spiritual Boss Podcast, Tanya and Mel dive into the energetics of earning and explore how your money story and personal beliefs shape your ability to receive, earn, and charge for your work in the world. We share openly about our own journeys with undercharging, shifting limiting beliefs and learning to align pricing with the value of the healing and holistic work we offer. This is an honest conversation about worth, energy exchange and the courage it takes to step into a new money frequency.

  21. 80

    Intuition vs. Intellect

Is it intuition…or just anxiety talking? During this episode of The Spiritual Boss Podcast, Tanya and Mel unpack the age-old question of how to tell the difference between your inner knowing and your mental programming. We dive into the subtle ways intuition speaks, how loud logic can get both in your head and in your body and what you can do to discern what's what.  If you’ve ever second-guessed yourself or wished you could better recognize when your intuition is leading the way, this conversation is for you!

  22. 79

Anchored In Sobriety with Anthony Zorzetto

This week on The Spiritual Boss Podcast, I sit down with Anthony Zorzetto of The Possible Principle to discuss the slippery slope to addiction, his experiences and how his program gets results. Anthony works exclusively with men on their sobriety but don’t let that stop you from tuning in. He shares not only how daily anchors and accountability can transform recovery but also what we, as partners, can do for those we love. Anthony has personally impacted my life and I am grateful for his incredible program. This conversation is real, raw and needed.

  23. 78

    Let Go into the Fall

The trees are transforming their colours and shedding themselves as we get closer to the winter ahead. What are you being called to let go and transform? The October vibe is immaculate - the pumpkin spice, the scarves and boots, the spooky season. Yes, yes, and more yes.   Let's lean into the fall, as it were, and dig in to what we are being called to release.

  24. 77

    Alchemizing Anger

Anger is so foreign. There's no way to do it 'right' - you blow a gasket? That's not an option. We are told to be the bigger person, that cool heads prevail... but anger is functional, no? It serves a purpose, it means something... so why are we congratulated for repressing or controlling it? Is there a way to be mad that's allowed? What does that look like?

  25. 76

    Season Premiere

We're back for season SEVEN of The Spiritual Boss Podcast. We are so excited for what we can endeavour to get into this season.  In this episode we talk a little bit about how our summer and 2025 has gone, what we're learning, and what we feel the symbolic significance of these things may be.  We talk a bit about our plans for the coming season with the podcast, as well as our plans personally and professionally.

  26. 75

The Final Episode: Mystics + Broomsticks Says Goodbye

✨ In this final episode under the Mystics & Broomsticks name, we’re reflecting on our favorite moments, the surprising lessons, and the growth we’ve experienced through this season. Melanie shares what it’s been like learning to trust her inner guidance (especially when outside feedback doesn’t resonate), while Tanya opens up about navigating patience—and the discomfort of letting people be mad. 😅   We’re also sharing what’s next: the return of The Spiritual Boss Podcast! A fresh chapter that brings us back to our roots of spirituality in business, life, and love. We’re so excited for what’s coming, and we’re so grateful you’ve been on this ride with us. 💫

  27. 74

    Tom Barker: Man, Myth, Queen

If you're local to the foothills, chances are you've heard the name Tom Barker. No? How about Birthday Girl?  Tom is a local performer, drag queen, former radio personality and generally just a killer vibe that makes impressions and friends where ever he goes.  We had the chance to talk about what 30 is feeling like for him, how we are growing and changing, and the ups and downs that come with being such a vivacious personality.

  28. 73

The Power of Duality: When Two Truths Exist at Once

Life is rarely black and white—and sometimes, two seemingly opposite things can be true at the same time. In this episode, Tanya and I explore the concept of duality: how it shows up in our inner worlds, how it often clashes with societal expectations, and why learning to live in the “both/and” is one of the most powerful things we can do. This conversation is an invitation to honor the complexity of being human and to give yourself permission to hold contradictions with grace.

  29. 72

Finding Your Way: Balancing Purpose and Prosperity

In this episode, I open up about my early days as a Reiki practitioner and the lessons that helped me create a sustainable, heart-centered business. Tanya and I dive into the importance of finding real support, learning how to balance your schedule with your financial needs and desires, and navigating the growing pains of building something that truly feels aligned. Whether you’re just starting out or are feeling stuck, this conversation offers grounded insights for creating success on your timeline.

  30. 71

Monster Brain: How Tech Hijacks Your Mornings

In this episode, I get real about something I think a lot of us are dealing with—what I call Monster Brain. You know, that foggy, frazzled, scattered energy that creeps in when you reach for your phone before you've even had a glass of water. I talk about how tech—especially social media—can hijack our mornings, mess with our mood, and steal our time before we even know what hit us. I share some personal experiences, some hard truths, and some gentle reminders about why how we start our day matters. If you’ve ever felt off, grumpy, or overwhelmed before 10am, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about reclaiming our mornings and kicking the Monster Brain to the curb—one intentional day at a time. #spiritualpodcast

Beyond The Zen: Realities of Owning a Yoga Studio

Owning a yoga studio sounds like a dream—but is it really? In this episode, I sit down with Jerusha, my first mentor and a former yoga studio owner, to talk about the highs, lows, and unexpected lessons of running a studio. From awkward student encounters to the surprising challenges no one warns you about, Jerusha shares the raw reality of turning a passion into a business—and how that dream can take a toll on your life. Whether you’re a yoga teacher, studio owner, or just curious about what happens behind the scenes, this episode is full of insights, honesty, and a few surprises.

  32. 69

Courage To Heal: Roxane's Journey to Heart of Healing

Healing isn’t a straight path—it’s messy, raw, and deeply personal. In this episode, I sit down with Roxane from Heart of Healing, a wellness center offering LSV beds, cold and hot therapy, and a space for transformation. Roxane shares her courageous journey through sobriety, how she built a business rooted in healing, and what it means to hold space for others while still navigating her own growth. This conversation between Roxane and Mel is a testament to resilience, the power of healing work, and the beauty of finding purpose through pain. Heart of Healing website: https://heartofhealing.ca/

  33. 68

    "Victim" or Persecutor?

Have you ever noticed there’s a particular kind of person who always seems to be stuck in some downward spiral of problems?  And then we roll in with our rescuer hat and saviour complex to finally be that person that proves to them the world is a lovely and wonderful place… Only to have it play out but somehow we wind up accused of being the bad guy despite all efforts to the contrary. Mel and Tanya use this episode to discuss those who are so committed to the victim role, they will turn the world upside down to keep proving to themselves they’re a victim. Ironically, become a perpetrator in the process.

  34. 67

    Merging the Selves

Most of us will go through periods or 'eras' of ourselves (anyone else got some sweet pics from that emo era??)  As we expand and shift and grow - sometimes it's a matter of walking away from the past self... but oftentimes, I think we're meant to find a way to integrate the aspects of that version of ourselves - and fold it into the new era.

  35. 66

    A Mother's Loss

Content warning: pregnancy loss. Early and late term. Slowly, there is more dialogue being shared around pregnancy loss and the grief that follows. It's important to me to be a part of that movement, and normalize not only that loss occurs, but that there is a whole grief process to unwind around it.

  36. 65

Too Much? Never - The Intense Personality

Ever met someone who makes everything their whole personality? Maybe, you are that person. Inside we dive into the world of the personalities that go ALL the way in - whether it's a new hobby they turn into a career or book series they're consumed by, they're fully in it.  We talk about the ups and downs of being the intense friend and how to get over a book hangover. If you wonder what makes you or this kind of person tick, take a listen and let us know what you think - are you the intense friend?

  37. 64

Good Intentions, Bad Advice + The Power of Words

We've all received advice that made us stop and think - sometimes for the wrong reasons. In this episode, Tanya shares the worst advice she's ever received, and we unpack what makes certain words stick, even when they shouldn't. We close with some of the best advice we've learned along the way and explore how impact and intention shape conversations. Ever walked away from a talk feeling completely misunderstood? We break down the importance of subtext and getting clear on what's actually being said. Tune in for laughs, lessons and a few cringeworthy moments.

  38. 63

Wild Skies Ahead - What the Planets Say About 2025

2024 was a ride, but 2025? The stars have some big plans. In this episode, we sit down with the Wildsky Sisters to break down what astrology is predicting for the year ahead. Expect cosmic shake-ups, powerful shifts, and maybe even a little planetary drama. Whether you’re deep into astrology or just astrology-curious, we’re diving into what this year could mean for all of us. Buckle up—it’s going to be a wild one! 39. 62

    Shadow Work... Again.

Ah yes, once again, we touch on the endless journey of shadow work. Being that it is an endless space of exploration, it makes sense that we have dedicated many podcasts to it. This episode is full of personal successes and failures of journeying into the self in a wildly unpleasant way. Please join in, misery loves company as it were.

  40. 61

The Cost of Bad Advice (Even When You Pay For It)

Mel unpacks the worst advice she’s ever received—and it came from a paid professional. In this honest episode, she shares how a well-meaning counselor’s guidance led her down a harder path, why she didn’t question it at the time, and what it taught her about discernment, power, and self-trust. If you’ve ever followed advice that didn’t sit right (especially when you were vulnerable), this one’s for you. Not all support is supportive—and sometimes the detours teach us the most. What’s the worst advice you’ve ever been given?

  41. 60

    Thoughts On Menopause

Tanya and Mel discuss their thoughts on menopause. Not just menopause, but all the highs and lows of being a woman on a 28 day rollercoaster ride of hormones. We talk about frustration with medical care, the k*ll phase of your cycle and how chatgtp helped to clear up some stagnant patterns that Melanie had going on in her life that were affecting her hormones.

  42. 59

    Imagination = Intuition

Developing your imagination is the easiest and best hack for getting a better hold on your intuition. It allows you to expand your mind into great concepts and explore outside the box you default to. Listen in to get some tips on how to flex and channel your imagination - so you can turn it into intuition.

  43. 58

    How to Intuitivley Read YOU

One of the most challenging people you will ever intuit for is YOU. We'll get into some ways you can help iron out the blocks and biases in order to get a better and more accurate reading for yourself.

  44. 57

    Bookcast feat Kaicee Redpath

A year of books in review! Featuring special guest: Kaicee Redpath, Tanya's ultimate book-buddy. If nothing else, get yourself a book buddy for this year. Someone with the same or similar taste in books is not only helpful if you want to get some motivation to read - but also so joyous. You can chat all about your opinions, thoughts, and just enjoy the ride.  If you're a book reader, or you want to be - here are a few of our favorites from the previous year!

  45. 56

    Transmutation

Sh*t happens.  Two guarantees in life: you will die - and you will go through some sh*t. Transmutation is a tool that can help the sh*tty times feel like they're doing something for you - as opposed TO you. It can help us feel more empowered and autonomous.

  46. 55

Year in Preview with Tammy Toch

At the beginning of this episode Tammy reviews 2024, what she saw and what she got right. Her accuracy is impeccable and delivery captivating. In this episode she talks about what 2025 will be bringing for us as we hold tight for a brighter future. What she missed telling us during the episode that was very important to share was that a big theme for 2025 will be bringing telepathy and remote viewing to the forefront of our attention. So, if you're somewhat of an intuitive, watch your gifts expand in 2025! You can find Tammy hanging out on her Facebook page Tammy Toch Intuitive.

  47. 54

    Merry Meditation

From us to you this holiday season, please accept this gift of meditation as inspiration to take a moment for yourself during a hectic time of year.    Love and blessings,    Mel & Tanya

  48. 53

Finding Value In Yourself - Opinions Do Not Define You

This episode comes from a place of finally accepting that other peoples opinions of me don't have to matter. I used to be pushed and pulled by the opinions of others, wanting to protect myself from negative things being said or thought about me. From over a decade of real life experience with negative perceptions and opinions, in 2024 I think I've really let it go. You don't have to see me the way I see myself. You can be stuck on whatever view you have of the world, me, yourself and none of it has to be true to me and influence the reality that I live in. External validation does not define your worth is really landing for me and I hope if you're stuck in a people pleaser cycle, you find a way to still believe in you, for you.  Mel

  49. 52

    Hygge > Seasonal Depression

This time of year it's common for the winter blues to creep up. Usually we're pretty good at fending it off until after the Christmas magic has died down - but it can sort of loom over our heads a little. I am sharing the concept of "Hygge" in this episode - and some ways (outside of physical and mental care) that we can insulate ourselves from the weight of winter. We deserve to find the magic and beauty through all seasons.

  50. 51

    The Mother feat. Jen Anderson

Jen Anderson is back! Well, at least for one episode she is. Tanya and Jen get into a chat about what the role of the mother entails. There's still a noticeable inequity between the role of dad, and the role of mom. There seems to be a lot of assumption about what jobs fall onto mother - whether or not she works outside of the home.
