Living in a Body That Doesn't Fit Your Soul

Some of the best things that have ever happened on this show started with a wrong turn. I wasn't looking for Jessica Elaine Blinkhorn. I was trying to find Jessica Marshall from Episode 3.12… when her face stopped me mid-scroll. I didn't know her personally—but I knew her. I had seen her around my neighborhood more times than I could count. Full punk makeup. Music loud. Powerchair in motion. Completely, unmistakably herself. So when her Instagram (@wheelie_an_artist) came up, I knew immediately: i know her. I reached out on July 13th. She replied the same day. We had been living four blocks from each other. That's Divine Synchronicity. Several days later we ended up back at my apartment with Christian Amaro—who just happened to already be there. No plan. Mics on. We just started talking. "I'm still here. I don't really feel like doing this." That's how this episode begins. Because that's real life. And some conversations are too important to wait until you feel ready. What followed was one of the most candid, necessary conversations we've had on this show. We talk about gender, pronouns, and how my own thinking has been shifting—especially after Episode 3.12. But the conversation doesn't stay there. It goes deeper. Into what it actually means to live in a body that the world wasn't built for. "The most disabling part about being disabled isn't my body. It's living within a system that feigns empathy but practices apathy."  Jessica Blinkhorn shares what most people don't see: That 1 in 3 disabled women are sexually assaulted every year That 90% of people with developmental disabilities experience sexual violence That invisibility doesn't protect but instead it makes disabled people targets. She shares how she escaped an assault. How she nearly died alone in her apartment—trapped under a table, unable to breathe—until she found a way to move a laptop inch by inch to send a message for help. "You find a way. You find a way to make it work." We talk about the cost of survival: A $29,000 wheelchair A $60,000 accessible van $13,000/month for treatment $8,000–$10,000/month for care And a system that caps her bank account at around $2,000— while simultaneously making independence nearly impossible. "Having anything means losing everything for us." We also talk about something most people don't know: Disabled people in the U.S. effectively do not have marriage equality. Because getting legally married can mean losing access to healthcare, caregivers, and life-sustaining support. "We are the porcelain dolls of capitalism. Beautiful to look at—then put away." This conversation will challenge you. It challenged me. If you let it, it will change you.  It changed me.  I woke up that morning thinking things were relatively fair. I went to sleep knowing I was wrong. We also reference Saprea, a resource for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. 1 in 8 children are sexually abused before the age of 18. If that's part of your story, you're not alone. Jessica's work—including her project SPANKBOX—pushes people to confront how they think about disability, sexuality, and autonomy. It's uncomfortable. It's confrontational. And it's necessary. You'll hear everything as it happened: The pauses. The background noise. The MARTA. The sound of her powerchair shifting so she can breathe. I left it all in—so you can feel what it was like to be there. And the episode ends the way it ends. In real time. Jessica looks outside. The sky is turning. We leave so I can get her home before the rain hits. No perfect closing. No neat resolution. Just life continuing. "They're going to talk about it… not to your face, but behind your back." Not here. We say it out loud. This episode follows directly from Episode 3.12: Breaking Every Box. Jessica will be back. There's more to her story—especially the protest work she's been doing—and we'll bring you all of it. Check out more by searching "Loving Kindness Everyday" or "Kindness Calloway" online.

METTA MUSIC: Strong + Healthy • Afirmaciones de Bondad |Sana y Fuerza

Constructive Thought Direction Tool How to Use This Tool: When your mind is racing, when circumstances feel overwhelming, when you need to stop the mental chatter - press play. Let these declarations wash over you. Don't try to think or analyze, just listen, dance around, speak the words and absorb. Let the repetition do the work of rewiring your thoughts toward what you want to experience.         You Must Stop Thinking and Start Declaring It's important not to let situations and circumstances dictate your thoughts and feelings. In order to maintain right thinking and keep your mind fixed on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely - things that are worthy of smiling about in life - these are the thoughts we should meditate on and hold onto. But sometimes it's tough, right? That's why I use a method I call Constructive Thought Direction - where I choose a thought that feels good and think it over and over, actively not allowing my brain to go on "autopilot" or "rest," so I can focus on thoughts that are good even in situations that FEEL less than good. This episode IS that tool.  What This Is: 🎵 Pure Affirmation Audio - No talking, no teaching, just transformation 🌍 Bilingual Declarations - English and Spanish affirmations for maximum impact 🎶 Uplifting Background Music - Designed to calm your mental systems and give you a new focus ⚡ Strength & Health Focus - Every word speaks vitality over your life 🧠 Mental Reset Button - Use when you need to redirect your thoughts immediately. This Episode Theme: STRENGTH & HEALTH (Sana y Fuerza) Every affirmation in this episode declares strength and health over: Your physical body and all its systems Your relationships and connections Your finances and business life Your emotional and spiritual well-being Your entire life experience This is Constructive Thought Direction in action - choosing what your mind focuses on instead of letting life choose for you. Perfect for: Morning mindset reset Stressful moment intervention Before sleep reprogramming Workout motivation Meditation background Any time you need to redirect your mental energy Most admittedly, this is far easier said than done - which is why having this audio tool becomes essential. Your own Constructive Thought Direction will become evident in your life as you use it. LKE 3.5 || Street-Side Wisdom (Preseason Short: Weight, Wait & Waste)

This week on Loving Kindness Everyday, Kindness Calloway is back with a preseason short—a little drop of wisdom before we kick things back into full swing in September. What happens when you set everything up for your "summer of success"… only to see it taken away overnight? In this shorter, street-side chat with Ken from Alpharetta, a conversation about shipping costs, packaging, and the wastefulness of consumer culture opened up into something deeper: What is the true weight of our choices, and how do they shape the future for all of us? From there, we reflect on another kind of "wait"—that space of faith and patience when you believe things will work out but haven't seen it yet. This episode is about weight, wait, and waste—but also about how nothing is ever truly wasted when we allow the promise of a hopeful future (Jeremiah 29:11) to carry us forward. 💛 If you've ever worked hard only to have your plans interrupted, this one's for you. Remember: the waiting isn't wasted—it's part of the journey.    ✨ Don't forget to follow the podcast for weekly reflections, follow Kindness on IG: @KindnesstheKid for daily updates and behind the scenes peeks, share this mini episode with a friend, and get ready for our full September return. LKE 2.7 || For When You Feel Like Giving Up – a Talk with TJ Murphy from Decatur

LKE 2.7 || For When You Feel Like Giving Up – Real Talk with TJ Murphy March was supposed to be a month of success mantras and lovingkindness meditations, but life doesn't always go as planned. On March 5th, I lost my friend—who I'll call Bobby—to suicide. Grief hit hard, and with it came reflection, heartbreak, and the urgent need to speak on something deeper. In early 2024, I met TJ Murphy at an e-bike shop here in Atlanta. What started as a casual conversation turned into an open discussion about suicide, loss, and the impact it leaves behind. LKE: 2.6|| Belief, Love, Sex and Andy Stanley (Crockett and Calloway)

In this thought-provoking episode of Loving Kindness Everyday, Kindness Calloway sits down with David Crockett of Street Talk ATL for a raw and unfiltered conversation about faith, sex, and the Bible. Together, they dive into what scripture really says about sexual relationships—both within and outside of marriage—and how religious teachings have shaped cultural norms. The discussion also touches on the influence of figures like Andy Stanley and the evolving interpretations of Christian doctrine.   Plus, listeners get an exclusive sneak peek into an upcoming episode featuring Texas Senator Jasmine Crockett.   This episode also discusses 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture, a documentary that explores how a single translation error altered Christianity's stance on homosexuality and continues to impact the faith today.   Prepare for an eye-opening conversation that challenges tradition, questions long-held beliefs, and encourages deeper exploration of truth and spirituality.

LKE 2.5 || Divine Synchronicity: the Connection Behind Andy Stanley & 1946 the Movie

Some stories unfold in ways we could never plan—this is one of them. This episode begins at the end, where filmmaker Sharon "Rocky" Roggio and I, Kindness Calloway, found ourselves sitting inside Andy Stanley's church in Alpharetta, Georgia, just after the 2023 Unconditional Conference. How did we get there? And what deeper meaning was woven into this moment? Recorded February 2024, this conversation unpacks the divine synchronicity that connected 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture, Andy Stanley, and the broader discussion of LGBTQ+ inclusion in Christianity. You'll also hear from Christian Amaro, who shares their perspective on how Stanley's words impact our community. We dive into the "gray area"—the space where some Christians believe homosexuality is a sin to be condemned, while others believe LGBTQ+ individuals are created and loved by God. Andy Stanley has positioned himself somewhere in between, and we begin the work of unpacking that tension. This is just the start. In future episodes, we'll continue this conversation with others who attended the conference and have strong perspectives on faith, sexuality, and biblical interpretation. This is a conversation about faith, love, and the stories that bring us together. Listen in, and let's keep unraveling the threads of divine synchronicity. Want to go deeper? As authors of Embracing the Journey and founders of the ministry by the same name, they've spent over 20 years guiding parents through the complex emotions of having an LGBTQ+ child while staying rooted in faith.  Support the Mission! Do it again.

Have you ever faced a moment where life felt impossible, and then, somehow—beautifully, perfectly—everything changed in an instant, just when you were about to give up?   That's the kind of moment I'm sharing here with you friend. In this clip, you'll hear me, Kindness Calloway, speaking back in February 2024 with filmmaker Sharron "Rocky" Roggio. I recount a deeply personal time when I felt the Creator and all the forces of the Universe step in and provide me with exactly what I needed—money. For me, it was a precise, undeniable reminder of the Creator's unconditional love and deep desire for me to find joy and fulfillment in life.   As Florence Scovel Shinn so aptly wrote in : "Your big opportunity may be where you are now." In the book the Secret Door of Success she reminds us that faith and gratitude open the way to divine blessings, healing, and financial provisions. It's vitally important to keep a record of past miracles and/or seemingly impossible or random blessings. Helpful, you will find it in the those moments when the Soul feels weak. Looking back on past Divine Moments and Blessings serves as a powerful reminder that there's proof of Life's seemingly impossible provisions in the past and where we also see God's intention promised for the future (Jeremiah 29:11). Because of all of this, we can, if we choose to Rest. We can rest assured that what the God has done before can be done again—and more! We can be sure that what God has done for others can be done for me and more. And we can rest, hopeful, peacefully in gratitude for the past moments of victory and hopeful understanding that trials we currently face are somehow making way for greater blessings yet to come.   This moment is shared for anyone who feels like they're in a low place right now, searching for hope. Whether you're asking for a kidney, a paycheck, or simply a moment of peace in the chaos of all of this... you're not alone. The Creator of the Universe has called you by name, loves you deeply, and hasn't forgotten you—this is your sign.  Let's encourage ourselves together, just as David did in 1 Samuel 30:6, and boldly ask the Creator: "Do it again, Creator. Show me again just how much You love me. I need You. Amen."   If this message has touched your heart, we invite you to support the Loving Kindness Everyday podcast by donating $5 or more via Cashapp ($KindnessCalloway) or Venmo (@KindnessCalloway). Your generous contribution helps keep the show going and allows us to continue spreading love, healing, and kindness. LKe 2.4 | "What Breaks Your Heart, Andy Stanley?" Subtitle: North Point Church and a Conversation with Georgia's Longest-Serving Openly Gay Legislator, Sam Park In this episode of Loving Kindness Everyday, recorded in April 2024, before Sam Park's re-election, we sit down with Georgia's longest-serving out gay legislator, Sam Park. Sam and Kindness have a candid conversation about life, race, politics, and…                     Andy Stanley!? Attorney Samuel Lauderdale Park, a Georgia native and grandson of Korean War refugees, shares how Andy Stanley's teachings and North Point Community Church shaped his journey through faith, grief, and politics. As the conversation unfolds Sam opens up about the personal loss of his mother to cancer and a family member to suicide, sharing how these painful experiences, paired with Andy Stanley's wisdom, influenced his approach to life and, ultimately, political leadership.  The controversial sermon Stanley delivered after the Unconditional Conference in October 2023, comes up and sparks a deeper, raw and at times uneasy discussion about skin color, the intersection of faith, love, and inclusion. What emerges is a candid discussion full of surprises, raw moments, differing views, and unexpected revelations. Also featured is a preview with Sharron "Rocky" Roggio, director of the documentary 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture. Rocky sat down with Kindness following their trip to North Point Church to discuss faith, inclusion, and the power of re-examining scripture through a lens of love and understanding.  Support the Show:  🛍️ Shop everyday and luxury items at KindnessCalloway.com. 🏷️ Use coupon code KindnesstheKid at Bentley Fortune for special discounts. 📺 Subscribe on YouTube and follow us on Instagram to support us by liking and Subscribing!

i'm Coming to Miami🏝️my brother's Arrest/Release (*Mostly a conversation with an ex-girlfriend, *not a conversation with Jessica Bradley - ;) featuring Jocelyn Vaughn and Jon

In this episode of "Loving Kindness Everyday," I discuss my personal experiences.  ⚠️ Trigger Warning: This episode delves into sensitive topics that may be emotion or upsetting for listeners.⚠️ I believe that by honestly sharing our stories and connecting, we illuminate the shadowy corners that shape shame and begin to realize that we are not alone -  don't have to be scared of "them" or our feelings... or anything at all really - especially not the feelings and opinions of people who don't support your Journey. I'm your host, Kindness Calloway, and in this is "Loving Kindness Everyday" the "everyday" is one word not two - like basic, everyday, normal, totally average --- and this is one such episode, it features everyday language and a story that I'm learning more and more is far too "everyday/common" as well...   and that is sexual trauma.  During this episode we will courageously and boldly explore some of the darker moments of my own life—ones I'd honestly prefer to just sweep under the rug and forget about all together.    But that's sort of the point... anyway since we all would rather not talk about it. I'll do it for the lot of us.    As I recount a specific part of my journey—not my defining moments but something that was a significant part of my journey - you'll hear my tale as I told to my ex-partner, Sarah during a recorded phone call. Later, joining the voices will be Jocelyn Vaughn, a survivor of human trafficking and sexual abuse, and an advocate within the community who also called into to the show. Early on, you'll glimpse a discussion with Jon, a trauma specialist whose voice will become familiar in future episodes. We acknowledge Jessica Bradley, a beacon of hope and healing. As a licensed therapist an a Saprea, staff member, Jessica offers expertise in clinical mental health, trauma-sensitive yoga, and EMDR therapy to support survivors of child sexual abuse. An Ambie for Malcolm Gladwell and Me 😏

I tried to fall asleep last night to be sleeping episode I made, but it kind of bothered me. I kept getting woken up by voices so I decided to redo it. Sort of this is just a sleep program in the background you're gonna hear voices and talking, but it shouldn't wake you up and it says things like, " I love how the Universe already knows what I want and has worked everything out for me." " I always get what I want. " " I love how I don't have to wait to get what I want." " Loving Kindness surrounds me." "People are always so nice to me." " how everything always works out so well for me" " I'm so sleepy. I feel so good and calm and relaxed right now." etc.   …basically it's just a bunch of power thoughts that I like to listen to at night time to fill my next day with joy and positivity and divine synchronicity so I am gonna share it with you. Also, I'll encourage you to listen to the intro and contact me about the Emily project as I'm going to be doing a giveaway and asking you beautiful people to choose the person who receives red and blue bag.  also I had to put Malcolm Gladwell in the name again just for fun because I was gonna stop podcasting that day that I met him. It really filled my heart then learning about him and his work. I think it's really great. He's my tipping point. I'm going to speak into existence our Great friendship… and you know I met him just after meeting Matt who won an Ambie …and you know ambien is how many Americans get to sleep, so… you know. Whatever. I'm here for a good time. Let's go.   also I hope this helps you fall asleep,"ambien free" and also Matt and I agreed about me winning that Ambie so (you know. That's Done ✅)  that's all I have to say. have a good day and check out my sponsor page on kindnessthekid.com help us out 😉   ps. A Divine shout out to Kevin Garcia who held the door open for me at the coffee shop and walked right into my Divine Synchronicity. I love it baby. I really do!

Loving Kindness Manifesting Affirmations: Love, Dinero, Amor y Peace

Welcome to the Loving Kindness Everyday podcast, I'm your host Kindness Calloway.   Join me as we embark on a journey of affirmation and manifestation, infused with the powerful energy of Jesus. Throughout this month, we'll delve into affirmations and mind-clearing audio sessions to empower your manifestation efforts.   As Joel Goldsmith wisely said, if the mention of Jesus offends, we can substitute it with a term that resonates, for the essence remains potent. I've personally found immense strength and efficacy in invoking the name of Jesus in my affirmations, so I encourage this, because it works! There is power in the name of Jesus when used in conjunction with our Minds.   Our Minds possess incredible power; they shape our reality and manifest our deepest desires. Through repetition and Belief, we can harness this power to manifest All of Our Righteous desires and see positive outcomes in our lives - even from seemingly impossible situations.   Consider the remarkable phenomenon of the placebo effect, where belief alone can heal and transform. By immersing ourselves in these affirmations, we can rewire our brains to align with our true desires, bringing them into fruition.   I invite you to join me on this transformative journey, where together, we'll cultivate a mindset of abundance, healing, and manifestation. May you find peace, joy, and fulfillment as you embrace the power of affirmations, especially when rooted in the name of Jesus. Wishing you all the best on your journey.

I legally changed my name at McDonalds

Sometimes people ask me about my name and some people assume that I was born with this name and compliment my parents. Then other people ask me if I changed my name,  yes, I did change my name, I changed my name legally and it actually came from a trip to McDonald's.   So here's the story here's how it happened I hope you enjoy and if you haven't listened to the other podcasts I would suggest that you go back and at least listen to introduction # 2 so that you can understand what I'm talking about otherwise it could be a little bit...not so easy to understand.  KiC

Introduction Number 2 - Suffering brings Joy

I changed my name recently after my brother was arrested. The change in consciousness came after his arrest and the process of having to discuss the case over and over and over again. I will never call myself a victim, however, I did suffer and overcame child sexual trauma, my brother was the perpetrator and through the process of healing and understanding that the shame wasn't mine to carry or bear I learned - earned freedom.  In this freedom I felt encouraged to talk to others and while talking one day I ended up in a conversation where I for the first time understood the joy of having suffered this way. It's weird to say and probably weirder to hear but the truth is that he started interfering with me from age 2 (as young as I can remember) until age 11. From age 11 to my mid thirties I suffered from the shame and lack of acceptance and empathy from my family.  As an introduction to who I am and who I've been I want you to understand the person who is speaking to you in this podcast this is an a person who lived in fluffy life this isn't a person who changed her name to Kindness and now thinks that everything is bells and whistles and rainbows I'm somebody who suffered many times over in many different ways and like James said in the scripture I count it all joy. My suffering has proved beneficial and I share that with you in hopes that you can step back from your own suffering and see it as beneficial choose to see your path as valuable and required no matter how difficult it has been we can choose to change the narrative to change our thoughts and change our life.  this podcast started a bit different as I was editing a different version that I was going to post today totally unrelated and… well you'll see what happens.
