The Voice in Your Head isn't Always the Real YOU.

I’m sharing a very real, behind-the-scenes look at what this work actually looks like in everyday life—especially during stressful moments, emotional situations, and unexpected circumstances. I am giving you a peek into my mind, and going into detail with the thoughts that are offered up to me during a very stressful 24 hours.Thoughts that sounded completely reasonable in the moment.“You deserve this.” “It’s been a hard day.” “It doesn’t matter today.” “You should just take the day off.”And what I want to show you in this episode is how often those thoughts are simply your primitive brain trying to pull you toward comfort, pleasure, and immediate relief. Not because something has gone wrong… but because that’s what the brain does. This episode is really about learning how to separate yourself from those thoughts so you can stop reacting automatically and start making choices from the version of you you actually want to become.I walk you through real examples of what this looks like in the moment—from food decisions to movement to emotional stress—and how I navigate those conversations internally without shame, perfectionism, or feeling deprived.Because the goal isn’t to never have urges, cravings, or self-sabotaging thoughts. The goal is to stop believing every thought you think.Enjoy!  CourtneyI currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

The Magic of Waking Up at 3am....A new way to feel better even if your sleep isn't what it used to be

In this episode, I’m talking about something so many women experience....sleep changing as we age.Waking up in the middle of the night.Waking up earlier than you want to.And feeling like it’s a problem that needs to be fixed. What I want to offer is that the way you’re thinking about your sleep might be making the sleeping problem worse, AND your missing out on some possible magic.I share a different way to approach those moments, one that creates more calm, more ease, and less frustration. And I also introduce the idea that those early wake-ups might not be something to fight… but something you can actually use.A quiet, peaceful time that can feel grounding, creative, and even a little magical. This episode is really about learning how to feel better—even when your sleep isn’t what it used to be.CourtneyI currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Emotional Eating- Sometimes it's Not That Deep

In this episode, I’m talking about something that might surprise you when it comes to emotional eating.Sometimes… it’s not that deep.I share a theme I’ve been seeing with several clients lately—where they assume something bigger must be going on, when in reality, it’s often much simpler than that. We tend to associate emotional eating with big emotions like stress, anxiety, or frustration. But what I want to offer is that it can also come from much lighter, more subtle emotions that are easy to overlook.Things like boredom, hesitation, doubt, or even just a slight sense of discomfort. This episode is about learning how to recognize those moments....especially the ones that show up when you’re about to follow through with something you said you would do.Because often, those emotions don’t even surface until you stop distracting yourself.I also walk you through the difference between escaping emotions and avoiding them, and why that matters if you want to feel more in control of your eating and your habits. This is really about simplifying the process. Not making it more complicated than it needs to be… and realizing that sometimes the thing getting in your way isn’t a deep-rooted issue, it’s just a moment of discomfort you haven’t learned how to sit with yet.If you’ve ever felt like emotional eating doesn’t fully apply to you—but you’re still not where you want to be....this episode will help you start to see what might actually be going on.Enjoy!CourtneyI currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Why you Keep Stopping & Starting Over- a Book Review

In this episode, I’m talking about a concept that might completely change the way you see yourself and why you keep stopping and starting over.I’m diving into one of my favorite books, The Big Leap, and why it’s been so powerful for me (even after reading it multiple times). We talk about the idea that you may not be lacking discipline or consistency… you might actually be bumping up against an internal limit for how good you allow your life to feel. I share how this shows up in real life...like doing really well for a stretch and then suddenly falling off track, creating stress where there wasn’t any, or going back to old patterns just when things start to feel easier. This episode is really about understanding your “baseline” - the emotional patterns you’re used to - and how your brain will try to pull you back there, even if it means creating problems.I also walk you through some of the common ways this shows up, from weight loss to relationships to self-worth, and why it has nothing to do with you being weak or doing something wrong.Because when you can recognize what’s happening, you can start to change it.This is about learning how to stay in the good moments a little longer… letting things feel easier… and allowing yourself to actually have what you want without undoing it.If you’ve ever felt like you’re always starting over...or like things go wrong right when they’re going well....this episode will help you understand why, and what you can begin to do differently.Enjoy!  CourtneyGet instant access to my free Playbook (Take Control of Your Evening Eating) HEREI currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

    Getting Great at Prioritizing Yourself

In this episode, I’m talking about something that sounds simple… but is actually one of the most important skills you can build if you want to create what you want in your life.Learning how to truly prioritize yourself.I share some of the most common thoughts I see that keep women stuck, things like feeling selfish, worrying about letting people down, or believing your value comes from what you do for others. And what I want to offer is that it’s not your schedule that’s the problem...it’s the way you’re thinking about yourself and your role in your life. This episode is really about shifting those patterns.Moving from guilt and obligation… to intention and self-respect.I also talk about why this is harder than it sounds. Because prioritizing yourself isn’t just about taking baths and slowing down, it often requires doing hard things, setting boundaries, and being willing to feel discomfort. But when you start doing this work, everything changes. You show up differently in your life, in your relationships, and in the way you take care of yourself. If you’ve been feeling like you’re always last on your own list, this episode will help you start changing that in a way that feels grounded, doable, and empowering.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

The Missing Piece to Getting What You Want

In this episode, I’m talking about what I see as one of the biggest missing pieces when it comes to getting what you want in your life.We spend so much time focusing on doing more, learning more, or finding the right strategy… but what often holds us back isn’t a lack of knowledge, it’s our resistance to discomfort.I share a real-time example from my own life that brought this into focus for me, and how quickly we can want to pull away when something feels uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or a little exposing. This episode is about understanding that if you want to create something new—whether it’s weight loss, confidence, or growth in any area—you’re going to have to be willing to feel things you don’t currently feel. Not because anything has gone wrong, but because you’re stretching into something new.I also talk about how easy it is to misinterpret discomfort as a sign to stop, when in reality, it’s often a sign that you’re exactly where you need to be.This is a powerful shift, because when you stop avoiding discomfort, you open yourself up to so much more possibility. If you’ve been feeling stuck, or like you’re doing all the right things but not getting the results you want, this episode will help you see what might actually be getting in the way—and how to move forward in a completely different way.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Spending More Time in Positive Emotions

In this episode, I’m talking about something we all want—feeling better more often in our everyday lives.I share a simple experience that reminded me how much of what we feel isn’t coming from our circumstances, but from the way we’re thinking about them. We spend so much time dreading things or focusing on what’s not working, and very little time actually noticing when things go well.I introduce the idea of negativity bias, how our brains are wired to focus on the negative, and why, if we don’t manage that on purpose, we’ll naturally spend more time in stress, frustration, or dissatisfaction. What I want to offer is that feeling better isn’t about changing your life, it’s about being more intentional with your thinking.I walk you through how to start noticing your baseline emotions and how to begin shifting them by choosing thoughts that create more supportive or positive feelings. This episode is really about taking your power back and realizing that you can create more contentment, gratitude, and ease in your life....without waiting for everything to be perfect.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Creating More Joy, More Confidence, and More Peace

In this episode, I’m sharing a real, in-the-moment conversation with you. I wasn’t feeling my best physically, but it brought me back to what actually matters—not just weight loss, but how we feel in our lives.I talk about how easy it is to be hard on ourselves and carry quiet shame about where we are. And what I want to offer is a different perspective—what if nothing has gone wrong? What if you could want more for yourself without tearing yourself down in the process? This episode is really about shifting how you approach growth. Moving forward not because you “have to,” but because you want to. Because you’re ready for more joy, more confidence, and more peace.I also talk about self-trust—what it looks like to build it, and how deeply it impacts everything. Because when you trust yourself, everything changes. And throughout it all, I invite you to consider a new way of doing this—one where becoming your next-level self doesn’t feel heavy or restrictive… but actually feels empowering and even fun.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with my former client Brittany to talk about her experience inside my coaching program and the transformation she created. When Brittany first came to me, she described her relationship with food as “noisy.” Her mind was constantly filled with thoughts like “Should I eat this? Shouldn’t I eat that?” and she felt stuck in the familiar all-or-nothing cycle that so many women struggle with. Over the course of our work together, Brittany lost 18 pounds, but more importantly, she changed the way she thinks about food, habits, and what’s possible for her life.In this conversation, we talk about:Why she decided to schedule a consultation after listening to the podcastThe mental chatter around food that kept her stuck for yearsThe moment she realized going “off plan” didn’t mean she had failedHow she broke the all-or-nothing cycle with eating and exerciseThe mindset shifts that helped her create real, sustainable weight lossBrittany also shares how this work has impacted other areas of her life—from running her business to navigating hard moments like grief. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s actually like to work with me or whether this work could work for you too, this episode is for you.Sign up for my Free Live Workshop "Get Control Over Your Eating" here.Find Brittany's Tea Website here: https://www.lagominfusions.com/I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

But those things are often the very things that keep us stuck in the cycle of starting over.In this episode I talk about:The common things women believe they need in order to lose weightWhy those things often keep us stuck in the cycle of starting overThe difference between temporary weight loss and permanent lifestyle changeWhy lasting change has more to do with your mind than your meal planThis is something I struggled with for years, and it’s something I now see in so many of the women I work with. When we start focusing on the real work that creates lasting change, everything about weight loss becomes more sustainable—and honestly, a lot more empowering.CourtneyI currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Who Do You Want To Be? And Are You Spending Time With Her?

In this episode, I’m talking about something I don’t hear enough women thinking about intentionally: their future self. This idea came to me during a quiet moment — and the more I sat with it, the more I realized how much clarity it brings to everything we’re trying to change. Our habits. Our relationship with food. Our health. Our confidence. And the way we show up in our lives. So often, women come to me knowing exactly what they don’t want anymore. They don’t want to feel out of control around food. They don’t want to keep starting over. They don’t want to be uncomfortable in their bodies or disappointed in themselves. But knowing what you don’t want isn’t enough. In this episode, I walk you through why getting clear on who you’re becoming is one of the most important (and overlooked) parts of sustainable change — especially when it comes to weight loss, follow-through, and feeling truly in control.P.S. Be on the Lookout- Ridiculous Excuses to Eat When You Promised You Wouldn't

Have you ever promised yourself you were going to eat differently… and then found yourself doing the exact opposite, almost on autopilot? In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on the quiet, sneaky thoughts that derail our best intentions — the ones that sound reasonable, logical, and even responsible in the moment. The problem? They’re often not true at all.I wanted this conversation to be powerful and fun. Because getting healthier, stronger, and more confident doesn’t have to feel heavy or punishing. In fact, when you can start noticing these thoughts — and even laughing at them — everything changes. We’re talking about the primitive brain, food noise, and why so many women feel like they’re constantly negotiating with themselves around eating. I share real-life examples from my own brain, my clients’ brains, and everyday situations like travel, social events, family gatherings, and evenings at home when willpower feels mysteriously low. What I really want you to hear in this episode is this: You are not broken. You are not weak. And you are definitely not alone. Your brain is simply doing what it was designed to do — and once you see that clearly, you can stop being controlled by it.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

    Redefining Pleasure and Fun

I’m talking about something that can completely change the way you approach weight loss, movement, habits, and even your mindset:Pleasure. Fun. Not the “vacation” kind… the kind you’re choosing on an average Tuesday. Most women don’t associate pleasure with what it takes to reach their goals. They associate change with:hardexhaustingrestrictivefrustratingAnd that disconnect is exactly why so many women feel stuck.✨ Why this topic mattersHere’s the truth:On an average Tuesday, you’re choosing pleasure all day long. And the pleasure you’re choosing might be:helping you build the body + life you want ORquietly keeping you stuckThe goal of this episode is to help you see those choices clearly, and learn how to redefine pleasure so your goals start feeling exciting again.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

How are You Measuring Your Progress? Your Happiness Depends on it. A Book Review!

In this episode, I’m sharing one of my favorite book recommendations: The Gap and the Gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy. The big idea is simple: the way I measure my progress determines how happy I feel. If I measure myself against where I want to be, I create frustration and “not enough” energy (the gap). If I measure myself against how far I’ve already come, I build confidence, momentum, and pride (the gain). I explain how this shows up in real life, with weight loss and health goals, where people can overlook major wins just because the scale didn’t move.  But also in every area of life. When you focus on what's missing, you create misery; when you focus on how far you've come, you gain momentum.Enjoy!I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Why Weight Loss (When Done Sustainably) Matters.

In this episode, I talk about why weight loss does matter—and why we’re allowed to want it. I share my own story of being stuck in an exhausting on-and-off cycle with food, dieting, and shame, and how everything changed when I learned to lose weight sustainably.I explain why weight loss is transformative when you fix the real problem behind overeating, and what life looks like on the other side: feeling confident, peaceful, sexy, and free from obsessing about food and your body. This episode is for women who know they want more—for their body, their mindset, and their life—and are ready to stop quitting on themselves and go all in.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

"White-Knuckling it or Giving Up...There Was NO In between." My client Katie's Story.

In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with one of my clients and friends, Katie, to have an honest, real conversation about food, midlife, menopause, mindset, and what it actually takes to create lasting change.-------------------If you're listening in real time, make sure to sign up for my Free Webinar "Your Year of Change" HERE.-------------------Katie had been listening to this podcast for a long time before we worked together. She understood the concepts intellectually. She wanted things to change. But like so many women, she found herself stuck in the cycle of trying hard, tightening down, losing control, and then blaming herself. In this episode, we talk about what finally shifted.Katie shares what it felt like to go from feeling helpless around food to feeling calm, grounded, and in control—without dieting, restriction, or perfection. We talk openly about menopause, inflammation, exercise no longer “working” the way it used to, and the cultural story that midlife weight gain is inevitable. We also dive into something bigger than weight loss.Katie explains how learning to manage her thoughts—not just her food—changed how she shows up with her kids, her husband, her work, and even her aging parents. One of my favorite moments in this conversation is when she shares how the mindset tools we use helped her respond differently to everyday stress instead of numbing out with food.We also have an honest conversation about using GLP-1 medications as a tool. Katie shares why she chose to use them, the stigma she felt, and why mindset work is still essential if you want the results to last—whether you’re on medication or not.If you’ve ever:Felt like you should be able to do this by nowWondered why what worked in your 30s and 40s no longer worksFelt stuck consuming information but not creating real changeOr worried that focusing on food might negatively impact your kids…this episode is for you.Katie’s story is a reminder that you’re not broken—and that real freedom around food is possible at any age when you stop relying on willpower and start changing how you think.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

People Pleasing, Food Pushers & Saying YES to Yourself

In this episode, I talk about one of the biggest challenges my clients face—people pleasing, especially around food and the holidays. December brings more gatherings, more comments, more food pushers… and more pressure to say yes when what we really want is to stay aligned with our goals.I share why people pleasing feels so tempting in the moment and how it actually connects back to our primitive survival instincts. I walk through common situations—like taking a drink you don’t want, eating something because someone made it “for you,” or choosing food based on how you think others will judge you.I also teach you how to stop people pleasing by:deciding ahead of time what you truly want, understanding your “why,” andchoosing thoughts on purpose when comments or pressure come your way.And if you’ve been calling yourself a “people pleaser,” I show you how to shift into the identity of a recovering people pleaser so you can start honoring your own decisions with more confidence. This episode will help you enter the holidays—and the new year—feeling more grounded, intentional, and committed to saying yes to yourself.I currently work with women privately to achieve their health, mindset, and body goals.  I would love to offer you a consultation HERE to discuss the changes you want to make to create more joy, health, and peace in your body and life.

Want to Get Stronger? Do this one thing......

In this episode, I share the one mindset shift that helped me finally get stronger in my 40s. For years, I held myself back with the thought, “I don’t want to hurt myself.” I break down how this belief keeps so many women stuck, why avoiding challenge actually increases our risk of injury as we age, and what changed for me when I finally let go of that fear.I also share the conversations with my son, my husband, and even insights from big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton that completely transformed how I think about strength, aging, and discomfort. This episode will inspire you to push yourself, lift heavier, and trust your ability to adapt and grow. What I CoverThe surprising research on muscle loss in women as we ageThe real thought that stops most women from getting strongerHow lifting heavier (and allowing discomfort) changed my strength quicklyWhy occasional injury is part of growth—not a sign to stopHow I balance pushing myself with listening to my bodyKey TakeawayIf you want to get stronger, you must shift the thoughts that are keeping you comfortable. Building strength requires mental courage, physical challenge, and a willingness to experience small setbacks along the way.
