KEY WORDS: attitude, advice, character, skills, career change, true self, independent thinking, confidence, open mind, knowledge, drive, motivation, faith, hope GUEST WELCOME: Today’s guest is a dear friend of mine that I’ve known since high school, Lisa Maxson. Lisa is a highly accomplished and well-respected professional business leader with 10 plus years of comprehensive human resource experience. She’s one of those people who is skilled at navigating complex situations with professionalism, wisdom, and grace. The website is www.womenbehavingboldly.com BOLD POINTS: Know when to strive for better and best, and know when to be okay with “good enough.” Think about who you invite into your inner circle. If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. Some top character traits to develop are being truthful, loyal, professional, and having some common sense. Learn to be confident in yourself. Keep an open mind for knowledge and have the desire to go get it. Be curious. Keep growing and learning. The only constant in life is change. Learn to adapt and pivot. It’s all going to be okay. We can adapt. Figure out what you want. Think about it. Ask yourself, “what’s the opportunity?” Be open and don’t pigeonhole yourself. The perfect job/career exists for you. Find the right fit. It’s out there. Work somewhere where you are respected, valued, and heard. If you want to level up or do something different in your career, don’t take no for an answer. If it’s something you want, keep working at it. Figure out what you need to do to level up and just do it. What have you got to lose? If making a career change, highlight the common needs and be confident that you can do it and figure it out. Have hope that things can get better. Be there for the people you love. Remember you can’t please everybody. Be in alignment with your true self. Think through things differently sometimes. Shake Me Awake—guest, Jen Underwood from Shake Me Awake Podcast

KEY WORDS: awaken, midlife changes, passion, purpose, soul-searching, true self, authenticity, alignment, encouragement, growth GUEST WELCOME: Jen Underwood has spent 20+ years hiding in a basement working in public service. A book-writing project aimed at sharing her words of wisdom with her soon-to be 18 year old son took a surprising turn that caused Jen to awaken. It took her nearly 40 years to finally WAKE UP to living her life with purpose, passion and authenticity, and now says she can’t go back to sleep. She is on a mission to not only live her life the way she was meant to, but to also help others do the same. She recently started the Shake Me Awake podcast with the goal of speaking to others about how to show up authentically and live their lives with purpose and passion. She is determined to live life on HER OWN terms! NEWS: Women Behaving Boldly Retreat in Italy in 2025?! If you’re interested, subscribe to this podcast, and go to the WBB website to get on the email list for updates about this retreat, other workshops, and coaching opportunities. The website is www.womenbehavingboldly.com BOLD POINTS Try to find your happiness in this world. Show up as your true self. Ask yourself a lot of questions. Who am I? What are your life lessons? How would you like to live? Who do you want to be? What are your true gifts? What are you passionate about? What’s your personal purpose? Do some soul-searching and discover what you want out of life. How would you live differently if you knew your days were numbered? Time is short. Start taking steps in that direction and the universe will start lighting your path. If you have lots of ideas and need to find a focus, ask yourself what is most in alignment for you, what do you want, and what do you hope to get out of it. Ask yourself what your goal is. Allow yourself wiggle room and schedule in what you want to do and need to do. Stop caring about what other people expect of you or think about you. Remember that we are our own gatekeepers to our own success and in living the life we want. When doubts creep in, find ways to encourage yourself and pump yourself up. Try writing little messages of encouragement to yourself. Seek out supportive circles. Choose the content you’re consuming. Live the life you’re meant to live and the life you want to live. Try to find your happiness and don’t apologize for what that looks like for you. Show up how you want to show up in life. If it lights you up, if it’s your purpose and passion, show up and do it. Shake yourself awake. Stop sleepwalking through life. When faced with a challenge and you don’t know how to execute it, research and figure it out. Challenge yourself to learn and grow. Learn some different tools and find new resources. So you don’t burn out, take care and adjust what you do. Find inspiration your way. What do you like? What do you enjoy? Do what energizes you. Get outside, take a walk. Don’t follow all the rules and trends. Do what makes you happy and makes you feel good. Go for what your dreams are. Do your passion. Be comfortable in your clothes. Be in your own lane. To stay motivated, it helps to be inspired by your space. Organize so that it makes sense to you. Ask yourself what you want to achieve? Then make a list and check in on it. If you ever feel defeated, keep going. Be resourceful to get what you need. When changes happen, get good at pivoting. A new area might open up for you. Reach out to people doing what you’d like to do. Learn from them. You’ll always be criticized at some point; be prepared for that. But if you’re in your calling, continue doing what you know is true to yourself. Don’t let other people’s opinions deter you from what you want to do. Stay true to yourself. Go after your dream. Go after what you want. Don’t let anything stop you from doing that. No matter what the circumstances are, don’t let the dream die. Keep going forward. What is brewing in your soul? Are you listening? It could be transformative. —Guest Amy Renaud

What is brewing in your soul? Are you listening? It could be transformative. —Guest Amy Renaud KEY WORDS: Entrepreneur, business, growth, learning, potential, challenge yourself, focus, trust your gut, start small, therapy TODAY’S GUEST: Amy Renaud, Entrepreneur, After years of self-reflection, Amy’s pursuit of personal growth finally found fertile ground around the age of 40, a period when she doubted the possibility of real change. This marked the beginning of her journey as a self-proclaimed late bloomer. She has overcome challenges such as ADHD, a lack of confidence, and the burdens of growing up too fast, all which led Amy to embark on a new path. Driven by a desire to serve her clients more authentically and be free from corporate agendas, she left behind a comfortable job and embraced self-employment. For seven years, Amy has dedicated herself to supporting K-12 school clients with their websites through her business, edTechnoggin. She is a life-long learner, continuously seeks growth and blends her creative and technical talents. Amy's journey is not just one of entrepreneurship but also of personal transformation…. BOLD POINTS: Follow what’s deep down and brewing in your soul. If you need freedom and flexibility, consider doing your own business. Challenge yourself and utilize your potential. Go to therapy. Take advantage of various training opportunities and events. You might just get inspired. There is growth in discomfort. You’ll get through it. You don’t just want to survive; you want to thrive. Set aside some dedicated business support time. Listen to and trust your gut. Get a hobby, meet a man. If you want to start a business, do the groundwork and balance the facts, get proof, start small in a safe space, but don’t overthink it. Always move forward. Recognize and Honor a Great Woman in your Life—a Mindset Monday Mini-Episode

TITLE: Recognize and Honor a Great Woman in your Life—a Mindset Monday Mini-Episode KEY WORDS: Women’s History Month, honor, gratitude, progress, Women’s Day Women’s History Month affords a chance for all of us to research prominent and influential women and those whose lives have, perhaps, not been as well-known, and yet still have had an impact. To recognize and honor them, I suggest we do the following project and share our experiences with other women. I encourage all of us to honor a living woman this month, someone to whom you are grateful for, or proud of, someone who you appreciate, someone who has had a positive impact on your life. I invite all of us to do something to help make another woman’s life better in some way. I propose that you research a woman of interest, and learn more about her life, maybe read a biography, or look up the woman whose quote has inspired you, or visit the local library to see what they’re doing for Women’s History month. And thank YOU for your encouragement and feedback with this Women Behaving Boldly project. I am so touched and honored that we are walking this path together to elevate our lives and the lives of others. Find the magic in your life with the wise one within-guest Rhianne NewLahnd

TITLE: Find the magic in your life with the wise one within-guest Rhianne NewLahnd KEY WORDS: Magical Living, Enchanted Life, Divinity, Divine Feminine, Goddess, Nature, Connecting, Creating, Play, Inner Wisdom, Enchanted Heart, Love Life GUEST: Rhianne Newlahnd BOLD POINTS: If you want magic in your life, be committed to getting it. Life can be enchanting. Focus on Joy. Try going to a woman’s circle for sacred sisterhood. Spend time in nature and connect to the natural realms; we are nature too. A practice of spiritual devotion can allow for greater flow and connecting. To create a better life and the world, listen to your inner wisdom and the divine feminine within. Allow yourself to play. You have nothing to prove. You are adored and loved. Find the way that works for you to be in the flow, have a wonderful life, and create all that you need. Try journaling and writing a letter from the heart to the wise woman goddess within. Let the divine feminine respond to you and let the beauty come out. Express what you are designed to be. That’s the greatest joy. There is an endless well of compassion and patience within. The most important thing you can do is love life. Find those things to love life first and build your life on that foundation. Love life. That’s the primary practice. Focus on joy, magic, connection, and inner wisdom, and it can be a lot easier to manifest a beautiful life. The goddess says, “keep going, it will be worth it.” Don’t let the opinions of others stop you from doing what you know you need to do for yourself. Step into Your Power—guest Caroline Nixon. Supportive Beliefs. Mindfulness. Self-responsibility.

Hi, welcome to the Women Behaving Boldly podcast, the podcast that features women who share their stories about personal and professional growth and transformations—to uplift, encourage, and inspire all of us to live our most beautiful, fulfilling, and elevated lives. I’m your host Alana Marie. This is one of the inaugural episodes, and I’m thrilled to have you join us. Today’s guest is Caroline Nixon —Caroline is an absolutely magical healer, psychic and author with an amazing sense of humor to balance out the sacred work she does. She uses her 20+ years of experience in all things holistic to help spiritual women love themselves so much more as they heal their bodies (and release weight) with way more ease, flow and of course joy!! Caroline is also the author of 3 books: A Mom!s Guide to Sanity, An Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny Guide to Life and her latest book, Love Yourself Slimmer. Caroline believes that we are each so very powerful, and we need only step into that power to create anything we choose. Gotta love that, my friends! That was fun! Love all those affirmations! Let’s fill ourselves up with some of that serious positivity today and play those on repeat. Bold Points to Ponder Your beliefs can shape your personal experiences. If they’re not working for you, try mindfulness and change those limiting beliefs to more expansive ones that help to serve your growth. Your well being can be addressed by looking holistically at your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual states. Self-care and self-responsibility are critical to one’s own growth and to serving others. Try positive affirmations! Be bold, ask for what you desire, and fully show up for yourself and your life. A spiritual awakening—guest Rebecca Reed. Shift in perspective and perception. Having a dream.

This is one of the inaugural episodes, and I’m so happy you’re here! Today’s guest is Rebecca Reed. Rebecca is a life-long learner. She is a mother, wife, life coach, energy medicine healer, and hypnotist. She earned an MBA and has worked her way forward in her main profession as an analyst. She loves reading about human behavior and spirituality. She's intuitive and clairvoyant, currently practicing and enhancing her psychic mediumship abilities. Today she’s sharing her story about experiencing a spiritual awakening and what that meant for her. You’ll also hear about how even a subtle shift of perspective can create meaningful changes in your life. Do you have some dreams for your life? If not, will you be taking some time to think about a vision for your future? Bold Points: A spiritual awakening can be a subtle shift in perception where you feel a greater sense of wholeness, peace, and contentment. What else do you think it could be? To be more centered, allow yourself to connect with whatever light-filled / love-filled interest you have. Allow yourself to be curious about that interest and explore it. Curiosity and exploration lead you to your individual path. Let it be easy. Realize that even a subtle shift in perspective, a reframing, can help create more ease in your life. Have a vision and dream for your life in order to thrive. Write down what you want and why you want it. Start taking action, even a small step forward will create progress. Be committed to it. Find Strength and Serenity Within-guest Diane James. Meditation. Peace. Happiness. Coping. Relating.

Today’s guest is Diane James—a Certified Life, Relationship, Communication and Parenting Coach who helps people navigate the challenges of rocky relationships in both their personal and professional lives, so that clients can handle conflict in a healthy way, and directly state what they are feeling and wanting. Through her training and experience, Diane understands that most challenges come from deep-seated self-doubt and the inability to speak up and create boundaries for oneself. Diane’s heart-centered approach, deep listening, and wisdom will support you and your intentions, resulting in a life that is revived and truthful. Diane received her certifications from the International Coach Academy, The Relationship Coaching Institute, and has taught Positive Discipline and Hacking School Discipline. She has worked at the Maharishi School, a consciousness-based educational program, for over 30 years, and she coaches Accelerated participants at Marci Schimoff’s Your Year of Miracles program, a program founded by New York Times #1 Best Selling Author & Renowned Happiness Expert, Marci Shimoff. Diane has also been a Girl Scout Volunteer. Welcome Diane! Bold Points: Parts of your mind and body want to slow down and find deep peace within. Remember that rest and activity are cycles. Meditation can help to settle the mind down, and when you get to the quiet depths within, that sense of calm becomes a part of you and your way of being. If we want a more peaceful world, we must start by finding peace within ourselves. Meditation can also give you strength to deal with issues that you might have been running from. Taking time out of your day to calm yourself calms your physiology. 20 minutes 2x a day is great! If you can’t do that, start smaller. Even a couple of minutes is better than nothing. More tips for personal peace: A. Start with awareness and acknowledge what isn’t working in your life. B. Educate yourself—see a therapist, coach, attend workshops or classes. And C. Take action right away—do something as simple as getting a highly recommended book on the subject. And if up until now you haven’t been bold, be bold. Start with a bold thought. Thought leads to action. You *can* change your life. Playlist to keep the party going: “Lotta Love” by Nicolette Larson; “Beautiful” by Carole King; “Turn Turn Turn” by The Byrds; “Fire and Rain” by James Taylor; “California Dreamin” by The Mamas and the Papas. “Peace Train,” by Cat Stevens. Reinvent your life at any time; creative possibilities exist. 3. Give yourself credit for all that you have done, accomplished, and learned. Appreciate it. 4. You are good enough! The story saying otherwise is a lie. 5. You have choices—and you can decide what you want *and* what you’re open to receiving. Allow yourself to say, “I want this. I deserve this.” 6. You can also choose your attitude and beliefs. 7. Practice gratitude everyday. It will help you focus and actually open you up to seeing new opportunities and possibilities. It’s the foundation for creating what you want. 8. The Law of Attraction brings you what you’re open to receiving. Be open to trusting and allowing goodness into your life while taking action. 9. Don’t be afraid to work for what you want, and give yourself credit for what you’re doing and what you’ve done. You’ve got to take positive action forward to make your dreams happen. 10. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and in possibilities. Ignore the naysayers. 11. Look at yourself in the mirror through eyes of love. It will change the way you actually look at yourself. 2. To thrive, ask yourself, “what would a healthy, beautiful goddess do?” 3. We are all unique expressions of the divine and need to treat ourselves as such. 4. Any step forward is better than no step at all because not taking steps keeps you stuck in what is not working. Just take a step. Seriously, just take a step. 5. Channel your inner Cher to move through life courageously. Honor the spirit of who you really are. We are all sacred beings. To keep the party going, add these songs to your playlist: Mary J and HER’s “Good Morning Gorgeous;” Cher’s “Believe” and “Strong Enough;” and for some sassafras “GODDESS” by the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Thank you thank you for tuning in today, you gorgeous human!
