Real + RE/MAX: What the Merger Means for Agents, Clients & the Future of Real Estate
Send us Fan MailThe Real + RE/MAX merger just took another major step forward—and 99% of Real shareholders voted in favor of the deal. In this episode, we break down what happened in the shareholder votes, what still needs to happen before the merger officially closes, and what agents and clients can expect in the meantime. We dig into why the two companies are coming together, including the combination of Real’s cloud-based, technology-driven brokerage model with RE/MAX’s established franchise network and brand. Together, the companies are expected to create a $2.3 billion real estate organization with approximately 180,000 agents across 120 countries. But what does all of this actually mean for the people on the ground? We answer some of the biggest questions agents are asking:Will Real and RE/MAX keep their separate brands? Will current deals or contracts be affected? Will commission or fee structures change? Can Real agents use RE/MAX offices or branding? What happens to Real’s technology, including Leo and ReZEN?What happens to Real stock and the company ticker? How will referrals work between the two networks? What can agents expect when the merger officially closes?Who will lead the new Real + RE/MAX organization? We also zoom out to look at the bigger picture: why consolidation is happening throughout the real estate industry, how technology is changing the way brokerages scale, and what happens when a rapidly growing, technology-focused company combines with a long-established franchise brand. Most importantly, we talk about what this could mean for agents and clients—and why the philosophy of Work Hard. Be Kind. is expected to remain at the heart of Real's culture. The merger is not officially closed yet, so there is still more to come. But with the shareholder votes complete, the next chapter is getting closer.Follow along for Part Two after the closing, when we'll break down what actually changes once Real + RE/MAX officially becomes one company.BOEYE Realtor GroupBuy Sell Build QC - Real Broker, LLCLicensed to sell real estate in Iowa and Illinois Website: https://www.bradboeye.com/Email: [email protected] and Brad: [email protected]: [email protected] Instagram:Andrea and Brad: https://www.instagram.com/theboeyes/PT: www.instagram.com/ptboeye/ Facebook:Andrea and Brad: https://www.facebook.com/boeyebuysellbuildPT: www.facebook.com/ptboeye YouTube:https://m.youtube.com/@quadcitiesrealestate

Real Acquires RE/MAX
Send us Fan MailReal Broker announced its acquisition of RE/MAX (pending finalization around Aug–Sept), creating one of the largest real estate companies globally. This strategic move to combines: RE/MAX’s global brand + experienced agents with Real’s tech-driven platform + modern model and the goal is to provide more options for both agents and clients. 🏢 How It Will Work A holding company structure will sit at the top. Real and RE/MAX remain separate brands (no forced rebranding). Agents will not need to switch brokerages. Collaboration increases, especially in referrals, technology and services (mortgage, title, etc.) RE/MAX agents gain access to Real’s tech stack, AI tools, and lead nurturing systems, while Real agents gain brand credibility and expanded services (commercial, relocation). Potential to compete with platforms like Zillow on lead generation ~1M high-intent leads annually from RE/MAX platform alone This is NOT about recruiting RE/MAX agents into Real. Both models will coexist and serve different agent preferences. Team or Solo: What Actually Sets You Up for Success in Real Estate?
Send us Fan MailIs going solo in real estate true independence—or an unnecessary uphill climb? In this episode, we explore a question many agents face early (and often): Should you build your business alone, or within a team?At first glance, it seems like a personality decision—freedom vs. support. But the deeper question is more practical:What environment helps you grow faster, earn more, and avoid burnout? We unpack: The real differences between solo agents and team environments Why many agents hit a ceiling faster when working alone The hidden cost of “doing everything yourself” How structure, accountability, and shared systems accelerate growth The role of human support in a world leaning heavily on AI When going solo can make sense—and for whom This isn’t about declaring one path better than the other. Busy, But Broke? You Don’t Have a Lead Problem
Send us Fan MailMost agents think they need more leads—but the truth is, they have a conversation problem.Activity ≠ Productivity: Posting, emailing, and CRM work matter—but they don’t replace real conversations. Conversations = Conversions: Every deal starts with a genuine back-and-forth, not just talking at people. Stop Overthinking It: You don’t need a script to connect—just be curious and ask questions. Most Agents Don’t Need More Leads: 80% of your database is likely untouched. The opportunity is already there. Consistency Wins: Small daily actions build long-term success. Practical Action Steps Reach out to 5 people in your sphere daily. Do a quick “social media scan” before connecting to personalize the conversation Use the C.A.I.G. method: Compliment, Ask questions, Invite (to continue the relationship), Gratitude. Instead, success comes from clearly communicating value, building confidence, and leading the client relationship with expertise. Confidence Wins Listings Agents who clearly communicate their expertise and process rarely face commission objections. Not Every Client Is a Fit If a seller only values the lowest price, they may not align with a full-service approach. 🛠️ Practical Tips Start commission conversations with: “That’s a fair question…” Emphasize your process and results, not just services Use data (comps, days on market) to support pricing strategy Role-play objections to build confidence BOEYE Realtor GroupBuy Sell Build QC - Real Broker, LLCLicensed to sell real estate in Iowa and Illinois Website: https://www.bradboeye.com/Email: [email protected] and Brad: [email protected]: [email protected] Instagram:Andrea and Brad: https://www.instagram.com/theboeyes/PT: www.instagram.com/ptboeye/ Facebook:Andrea and Brad: https://www.facebook.com/boeyebuysellbuildPT: www.facebook.com/ptboeye YouTube:https://m.youtube.com/@quadcitiesrealestate
