Signs, Coincidences & What Your Heart Already Knows

Signs, Coincidences & What the Heart Already KnowsHave you ever thought of someone and they rang you five minutes later? Seen the same thing appear again and again at exactly the moment you needed a nudge? Felt something shift in a room before a single word was spoken? This episode is about all of that and the science, the folklore, and the lived experience that explains why it's anything but random. We go into the world of signs and synchronicity through a systemic lens.. what the field is, how it speaks, and why most of us have stopped hearing it. We bring in the Irish folklore of the Bóín Dé ( Ladybirds) and the magpie, the neuroscience of the Reticular Activating System, HeartMath research on heart coherence, and what quantum physics has to say about fields, attention, and connection. And at the centre of it all ...Your Heart ❤️. Not as metaphor. As intelligence. When we live from the heart, when we slow down enough to get coherent, our outer world starts to reflect what our inner world is broadcasting. Signs become visible. Synchronicities multiply. Intuition sharpens. The field gets a word in.This episode also holds space for those who have lost someone and for the sceptic who suspects there's more going on but hasn't had language for it yet. Both are welcome here.Includes a live coherent breathing practice and spoke about the Two Bells track shared below. Please only do this in a safe, quiet space where you can fully relax seated or lying down. Do not listen while driving, cycling, swimming, or operating machinery. If you feel light-headed at any point, simply return to your normal breathing rhythm.KEYWORDS: Signs, Coincidences, Heart Intelligence, Systemic Constellations, Signs from Loved Ones, Nature Symbols, Electromagnetic Field, Coherent Breathing, Intuition, Serendipitykey topicsSigns and symbols from nature and the universeThe science of heart intelligence and electromagnetic fieldsPractices for tuning into signs and intuitionThe role of systemic constellations in understanding unseen patternsPersonal stories of serendipity and signs from loved onesMentioned in this episode:🎙️ Interview with Dr Tara Stewart on Signshttps://open.spotify.com/episode/4XNQDPEs7SZpzP6jdLhfbP🎵 Two Bells — coherent breathing trackhttps://open.spotify.com/track/1vuf0jxcfB7Ry8qeSr7pBp?si=afba89a7a11a4e3aConnect with Norma:🌐 Website — visit for coaching, retreats, and everything Beyond the Normwww.normaokelly.com📸 Instagram — daily reflections, systemic insights, and behind the sceneshttps://www.instagram.com/normaokellysystemiccoach💼 LinkedIn — connect professionally and follow Norma's leadership and speaking workhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/normaokelly/⭐ Google Reviews — if Norma's work has meant something to you, a review means the worldhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/4j6dwkyV9UJxio3n7📩 Newsletter — sign up to hear about events, offerings, and what's coming nexthttps://beyond-the-norm-coaching.kit.com/newsletterIf this episode landed with you, please take a moment to rate, review, and subscribe it helps more people find their way here, and it genuinely matters.Thank you so much for listening. 8 Minute Pause for a Busy Mind | Breathwork to Calm the Nervous System

This short guided breathwork practice is designed to help you slow down and return to yourself. In eight minutes you will move through a gentle coherent breathing rhythm, a vagus nerve activating breath, and a grounding moment that brings your awareness back into your body and your heart. This is the kind of practice I often guide clients through between meetings, before a difficult conversation, or at the end of a demanding day when the mind is busy and the body is carrying more than it should. You don’t need any experience with meditation or breathwork. Just find a quiet place, sit comfortably, and follow the rhythm of the breath.Sometimes the most supportive thing we can do is pause, breathe, and allow the nervous system to settle. You can return to this practice anytime you need a moment to reconnect with yourself. Please listen to this practice in a safe and comfortable environment.Do not listen while driving, cycling, swimming, or operating machinery. If you feel light-headed at any point simply return to your normal breathing rhythm.⚠️ Important Safety NotePlease do not listen while driving or operating machinery. This meditation is intended to be done lying down or seated in a safe, quiet space where you can fully relax.💜 SAVE this meditation and come back to it whenever your mind is racing, your body feels tense, or sleep feels difficult.Website:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/normaokellysystemiccoachLinkedIn:Google Reviews:Sign up for my Newsletter and hear about my latest events and offerings: ✨ If this meditation helps you sleep or relax, please like, save, share, rate and review — it really helps this work reach more people.Big love and Go Gently now Norma 💜

How to Rebuild Your Purpose and Identity After Loss

In this episode of Beyond The Norm, I’m diving into something we all face , the kind of loss that doesn’t just break your heart, but breaks your identity wide open. I talk about how loss doesn’t just take something from us… it takes a version of who we were. And in that space, we’re left wondering: Who am I now? What’s my purpose? What happens next?I explore how grief can create a full-blown identity crisis, especially in midlife, when the roles we’ve played start slipping from our fingers. I share what I’ve learned personally and professionally about navigating these endings, honouring them, and letting them reshape us rather than destroy us.I also talk about how purpose often emerges in the rubble not in spite of loss, but because of it. And I bring in one of my favourite tools, breathwork, as a way to regulate the nervous system, clear emotional debris, and reconnect to the parts of ourselves we thought were gone.If you’ve felt lost, disconnected, foggy, or unsure who you are after a loss , whether it’s a relationship, a job, a dream, a home, or even an identity — this episode will help you understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and how to move forward with intention and compassion.Take AWAYS: Loss isn’t a moment; it’s a continuum we learn to live with.Grief often triggers a crisis of identity.Purpose tends to reveal itself through loss, not before it.Breathwork can anchor and heal when everything feels chaotic. It’s essential to honour the endings in your life. It’s okay to feel lost — it’s part of the rebirthing process.Finding your tribe makes the journey lighter.Your purpose evolves as you evolve. You can rebuild yourself after loss — gently, slowly, truthfully.Life’s hardest chapters often spark the deepest transformation.loss, identity, purpose, grief, self-discovery, breathwork, healing, transformation, resilience, personal growth, identity after loss, how to find purpose after loss, rebuilding identity, grief and identity crisis, breathwork for healing, purpose after grief, midlife identity shift, spiritual awakening after lossI mention Elizabeth Gilbert’s newest book about loss, All the Way to the River: Love, Loss, and Liberation. Here’s a link to more about it:https://www.hippocampusmagazine.com/2025/09/review-all-the-way-to-the-river-love-loss-and-liberation-by-elizabeth-gilbert/Chapters: 00:00 — Navigating Loss and Change02:24 — Understanding Identity in Grief03:51 — The Fog of Grief08:30 — Finding Purpose Through Loss12:45 — The Journey of Self-Discovery17:59 — Rebuilding Identity After Loss24:21 — Breathwork as a Tool for Healing38:34 — Finding Your Tribe and New DesiresKey Quotes: “Who am I now?”“Your purpose is evolving.”“Finding your tribe is key.”“Loss asks us to rebuild who we are.”“Purpose emerges when everything false falls away.”Please rate, review and share with anyone else you know going through loss: Follow me below: 🌿 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/normaokellysystemiccoach💼 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/normaokelly/🎥 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@normaokellytransitioncoach🌊 Website: https://www.normaokelly.com

What Nobody Tells You About Change - Beyond the Norm Podcast

What Nobody tells you about Change:In this episode of Beyond the Norm, I dive into the truth about change, not as a single moment, but as a living, breathing process. We’ll talk about the grief that comes with letting go of old identities, the awkward middle ground where everything feels uncertain, and the quiet resilience it takes to grow through transition.I explore how change ripples through our families, teams, and communities and how our loyalty to old patterns can sometimes keep us stuck. This is a conversation about resourcing yourself, honouring your emotions, and learning to feel safe in the unfamiliar.Because change isn’t a failure; it’s the system reorganising itself for your next evolution.TakeawaysChange isn’t a one-off event : it’s a continuous cycle of becoming. ( Quelle Surprise Norma ;) Your identity evolves with every shift.Grieving your old self is part of healthy growth. The messy middle is normal — and necessary.Fear is not the enemy; it’s information.Resourcing yourself is the ultimate act of self-care.Your change impacts — and liberates — the system around you.Announcing 🌙 The Wintering Project launches this weekend on Norma's instagram stay tuned a soulful space to rest, reset, and re-imagine what’s next this Winter. Through personal anecdotes and coaching insights, I emphasise the need for confidence and the role of supportive relationships in overcoming these barriers. The conversation highlights practical strategies for building a strong voice and the significance of authenticity in communication. In this conversation, I explore the themes of authenticity, purpose, and the power of voice in communication. Beyond the Norm - My Journey with Purpose: Embracing Transformation, Loss, and Growth

In this episode of Beyond the Norm, I reflect on my evolving understanding of purpose as a journey rather than a destination. Beyond the Norm: Bridging Belonging with Authenticity

In this episode, I explore the concepts of belonging and authenticity. I talk about how both are intangible yet essential parts of our lives. Drawing from my own experiences, I reflect on how belonging has shaped my sense of self and the impact it has on my identity. I also dive into the importance of bridging the gap between belonging and authenticity, and how vital it is to find tribes or communities where we can truly be ourselves. I highlight why prioritising authenticity is so important, and offer support for those of us on this journey towards self-discovery and belonging. Keywords: belonging, authenticity, sense of self, tribes, communities, bridging, support Takeaways: Belonging and authenticity are crucial, though intangible, aspects of our lives. Reflecting on our sense of belonging within systems like family, school, and work helps us understand how it has shaped who we are. Authenticity is about staying true to ourselves rather than conforming to societal expectations. Finding tribes or communities where we can be our authentic selves is essential for our well-being. Bridging belonging and authenticity requires self-reflection, support, and creating spaces where we can show up as our true selves. When Bravery Isn't Enough for Your Creative Change!

In this episode, I discuss the misconception that bravery alone drives creative change. I emphasise that discomfort, not bravery, is actually the primary trigger for these shifts. I delve into how fear can push us forward and stress the importance of rewriting our own rules and embracing networking. Additionally, I highlight the role of coaching, the significance of attending to our endings, and the power of resourcing and manifesting our desires. Throughout this podcast, I stress the importance of embracing vulnerability and not feeling pressured to meet all coaching expectations. I share insights into the ups and downs of transitions and the necessity of self-compassion. My personal experiences with attending to endings underscore how crucial this process is for progress. Finally, I discuss the empowering act of manifesting and creating the life we envision. Keywords: bravery, creative change, discomfort, fear, rewriting rules, networking, coach, endings, resourcing, manifesting, vulnerability, transitions, self-compassion Takeaways: Creative change requires embracing discomfort, not just bravery. Fear can be a powerful motivator in the creative process. Rewriting our own rules of belonging and defining priorities are essential. Networking and community support are key to success. Coaching provides guidance, while attending to your endings are vital. Resourcing and manifesting help create the desired life. Embrace vulnerability and imperfection in the journey. Practice self-compassion during transitions. Attend to endings for closure and progress. Manifest your goals to shape your life. Lessons in Love ♥️ & Gratitude 🙏🏻

In Jan 2024, for the 31 days I shared a daily video on YouTube. 31 days of gratitude. I started with great enthusiasm and naivety. I wanted to ensure I was starting my year strong and share that goodness with a small group. Like most Januarys I knew it would be grey and I would have to dig deep. What I did not forsee on the 1st was a breakup and heartache and go on to share that with everyone. Lots of shame and vulnerabilities to the fore but so many learnings throughout the month. This episode shares the many things I was grateful for and lessons from love ( self-love). I hope this episodes is useful to someone. This week's guest are Anne Tannam & Liz Barron of Murmurate.  Liz and Anne first met during coach training in 2008 and instantly 'clicked'. The trained with the Irish Life Coach institute.
