Who is the Antichrist? Many Christians love the King James Version, and rightly so. For more than 400 years it has served the church faithfully, shaped Christian thought, and led countless people to faith in Christ. This message is not an attack on the KJV itself. In fact, I continue to value and appreciate it.However, does the evidence support the claim that the KJV alone is the perfect, error free English Bible?In this message, I present two reasons why I reject the KJV Only position. First, we examine 2 Thessalonians 2 and consider why the wording "Day of Christ" in the KJV appears difficult to reconcile with Paul's argument, and why many scholars believe "Day of the Lord" is the correct reading.But the second reason is the most significant. Near the end of the message, I explore a question that every Christian should consider: If God intended the KJV translation to be the sole authoritative Bible for His people, why didn't He inspire the actual translators to believe the same? We've been studying 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 lately and a few questions have been asked, which are:1. Why believe in a pre-tribulation rapture when the doctrine was invented in 1830?2. Does the pre-millennial view imply that the rapture will occur before the Great Tribulation?3. Will carnal Christians be taken up in the rapture?4. If the Old Testament saints didn't believe in Jesus, how are they saved?A few more were asked after the service but due to them not having a microphone, it's easier to cut that out and not include it in this video. This message will explain why the church needs to be harpooned out of here when it is time. The question is always when and it's plain in Paul's writing that it was imminent; meaning, it could happen any second.Your view of Israel will determine though whether you will agree with this message or not. When I say Christian maturity, you might be more familiar with the word Spiritual maturity. Ultimately, we're talking about our sanctification or holiness as described in Romans 6:19 - a word used sometimes to refer to our walk/lifestyle in Christ becoming transformed more and more into His image each day.As Paul describes in the last verse of our passage, which we expounded on Sunday, the goal of ministry is for as many of us to, "walk in a manner worthy of God." The more of us that do this at Fraser Coast Baptist Church, the more of a witness we will be in the community.How's your walk going? Do you believe you are spiritually mature? I discovered five criteria in the passage of 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12, that Paul testifies himself living up to in his ministry, that we would do well in following ourselves.You may have been overwhelmed, like I was, in seeing this list of characteristics and then realised your level of faith wasn't as mature as you thought. If that is the case, the question I have for you then is:"Do you have the willingness or desire to level up your faith?" As we gained last week from looking at this passage, actions speak louder than words.

It's a question not just for Pastors and Teachers to ask but every Christian, who is doing some kind of ministry in their local context. Here are 7 criteria found in the first 6 verses of Paul's second chapter in his letter to the Thessalonian church, that can be used to assess whether our motives are pure - just like Paul's were.

This a question to ask someone to find out what their eschatology is. If the answer is no, it means they apply passages of Scripture to themselves when they are intended to be addressed to the Jews only. We talk about the doctrine of imminence which says that Jesus can come anytime, even this very second.
