    95. The Unexpected YES: How Mel's Book Found Her

Sometimes our biggest YES doesn't arrive with a grand plan.Sometimes it arrives as a small nudge.A feeling.A curiosity.A course we can't stop thinking about. In this episode of Grab Your Keys and Go, Mel shares her Big YES, the journey that began when she enrolled in a Yoga Teacher Training that just kept calling her.She made the commitment, showed up, and immersed herself in the experience. During the training, her teacher shared a piece of wisdom that would unexpectedly turn into something Mel couldn't even imagine. She said that Yoga Wisdom can be shared with the world in so many different ways, and she was excited to see how they would each choose to do this.Something landed. An idea appeared.A book began to form. What started as a personal project quickly became something much bigger than Mel had imagined. It wasn't originally intended to be shared with the world, but as the words continued to flow, so did the possibility of what it could become. In this conversation, Mel takes us behind the scenes of the writing process, the moments of inspiration, the unexpected ease, and the lessons she learned along the way. Most importantly, she reminds us that we don't always need to know where the path leads before we begin.Sometimes the magic comes from taking the first step. From trusting the nudge. From being willing to start before you have all the answers. This episode is a beautiful reminder that when we follow what lights us up, opportunities can emerge that we never could have planned for.Who knows what might be waiting for you on the other side of your next YES?You can find Mel and her beautiful book here:https://www.splashoflife.com.au/splashoflifepublishingYou can find Nat and Mel here:https://www.instagram.com/grabyourkeysandgo/https://www.instagram.com/shebreathesnow/https://www.instagram.com/splashoflifephotography/

    93. Maddy’s Big YES: Surrogacy - A Gift of Life, Love, and Trust

Episode 93 — Maddy’s Big YES: A Gift of Life, Love, and TrustThis episode is something truly special. In this conversation, we sit down with our friend Maddy, who shares a Big YES unlike any we’ve had on the podcast before, a YES that came from a deep, undeniable feeling after the birth of their own baby.Maddy knew they wanted to experience pregnancy again… but not to grow their own family. Instead, they felt called to become a surrogate, to carry and gift a baby to their friends, a gay couple, helping them become parents. What unfolds is a story of immense love, trust, and commitment.Maddy takes us through the journey, the emotional layers, the unexpected twists and turns, and the depth of what it means to say YES to something so big, so life-changing, and so deeply connected to others. Through it all, one thing remained steady: Maddy was all in.This episode opens up a beautiful conversation about what family can look like, beyond traditional definitions. It’s about the relationships created, the ongoing connection, and the way this shared experience has shaped all of their lives. We talk about communication, vulnerability, and the importance of leaning in, really listening, being honest, and allowing space for each person in the process. There’s a level of care, respect, and openness in this story that is both grounding and inspiring.More than anything, this conversation is a reminder of what is possible when people come together with intention, trust, and love.Maddy’s Big YES is not just about surrogacy, it’s about connection, generosity, and the incredible ways we can show up for each other in life. This one is a gift.Follow your Passion,Nat and MelYou can find Nat and Mel here:https://www.instagram.com/grabyourkeysandgo/https://www.instagram.com/shebreathesnow/https://www.instagram.com/splashoflifephotography/

92.Hazel Ray's Big YES: Music That Moves You, Changes You, Stays With You

What does it really take to follow a creative path not just when it’s exciting, but when it’s uncertain, unpredictable, and asks everything of you?In this episode of Grab Your Keys and Go, we sit down with Hazel Ray, a musician and facilitator who has chosen, again and again, to follow her path in music and creative expression. But this isn’t a story of overnight success or easy momentum. It’s a story of devotion and of staying when at times it could be easier to walk away.Because the truth about a music pathway, and really any creative path, is that it can be hard to break through. The gigs aren’t always glamorous. The rooms aren’t always full. The growth isn’t always fast.Hazel shares what it has looked like to keep showing up anyway, from playing at the locals, taking opportunities as they come, and steadily building something that feels true to her. Over time, this has evolved into deeply immersive experiences that blend music, neuroscience, and her background as a teacher, creating incredible spaces (which Mel and I have had the privilege to witness) that invite people to feel, reflect, and see themselves and life from a different perspective. At the heart of Hazel’s story is a moment many of us can relate to: the “dark night of the soul.” A time where things felt uncertain, heavy, and unclear and yet, instead of feeling dragged down by life, she chose to share her story. We talk about the reality of pursuing something that matters, the doubt, the persistence, the moments of questioning, and the ongoing decision to keep choosing it, even when results aren’t immediate.Because sometimes the path isn’t about a big breakthrough. It’s about building something, step by step, and trusting that it’s leading somewhere meaningful. If you’ve ever felt the pull toward something creative, meaningful, or just different… this episode will meet you there - in the in-between - and remind you that choosing it again might be the very thing that changes everything. You can find Hazel Ray here: MUSIChttps://open.spotify.com/artist/0ZrOVsU9pWY8dtRPrruh0X?si=dVwmgFSqSh2SzrtuPTu-bQPODCASThttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdsg-0Sk2HPpN6Gau14B-10ELGkQ9m2vmWEBSITEhttps://hazelray.com.au/Follow your PassionNat and MelYou can find Nat and Mel here:https://www.instagram.com/grabyourkeysandgo/https://www.instagram.com/shebreathesnow/@splashoflifephotography

    91. The Big YES Season: What We’ve Learned So Far

Season 5 of Grab Your Keys and Go has been all about the power of a Big YES, those moments where life nudges (or sometimes shoves) us to do something different, and perhaps even something that we are not sure we can do! But we do it anyway. In this episode, Mel and Nat take a moment to reflect on the incredible stories shared so far this season. From families packing up their homes to travel Australia, to women leaving jobs to build lives that align with their values, to bold personal challenges like creating a “Festival of 50,” each conversation has revealed something powerful about what it really takes to say YES to yourself.Along the way we’ve heard about the messy middle, the fear, the logistics, the doubt, the planning, and the courage it takes to step outside your comfort zone. But what’s become clear through every story is that these Big YES moments rarely arrive perfectly packaged. They start as whispers… a quiet sense that something in life needs to shift.Whether it’s saying yes to adventure, health, family connection, rest, work that feels aligned, or simply celebrating life in a new way, this season has shown us that the ripple effects of one brave decision can be profound.Mel and Nat unpack some of the biggest themes that have emerged from these conversations - what holds people back, what helps them move forward, and why sometimes the biggest YES begins with a simple question: what if?If you’ve been listening along and wondering what your own Big YES might be, this episode is the perfect place to pause, reflect, and get curious about what could be waiting on the other side of your comfort zone.Live passionately.Nat and MelYou can find Nat and Mel here:https://www.instagram.com/grabyourkeysandgo/https://www.instagram.com/shebreathesnow/@splashoflifephotography

    88. Could You Leave It All Behind for a Year-Long Family Trip? Heather Did.

Could You Leave It All Behind for a Year-Long Family Trip? Heather Did.This week’s episode of Grab Your Keys and Go takes us on one unforgettable adventure, literally! We sat down with Heather to hear about her Big YES: taking her family on a year-long trip around Australia. What began as a dream turned into a full-blown logistical (and emotional) marathon from renting out the house, packing up, clearing years of “stuff,” to juggling work commitments, and moving life onto the road. But what she didn’t expect was how the trip would change her family especially the deep, beautiful relationships that blossomed between her children and her husband. Days spent together without the usual noise and distraction created space for connection, conversation, and laughter they’ll never forget.Heather reflects with us honestly on what it took to get there, the planning, the letting go, and the courage to trust that they could make it work. She also opens up about what she’d do differently next time and what the road taught her about simplicity, family rhythm, and the kind of life they truly wanted to return to.If you’ve ever dreamed of taking off, maybe not for a year, but just for a reset, Heather’s story might be the permission slip you’ve been waiting for.

    87. Meg’s Big YES: Choosing Freedom, Family, and Work That Feels Right

It’s a familiar scene for so many mums — the laptop open, the emails never-ending, and your child sitting nearby, quietly playing, just wanting you. That’s where Meg found herself one day — her daughter on the floor reading books, patiently waiting, while Meg tried to finish “just one more thing.” It was her day off, but it didn’t feel like one. The weight of responsibility sat heavy, the guilt of not being present pressed harder, and something inside her whispered, “This can’t be it.”That whisper became Meg’s Big YES.After years of building a career and following the rules of success, she realised those rules no longer fit. What she really wanted was time — real, unhurried, everyday time — to walk her daughter to school, have morning chats, say yes to excursions, and be available for the small moments that make childhood magic. So she made a decision that actually became easy in the end: she left her job and said yes to becoming a full-time coach. It wasn’t a leap into ease — it was a leap into alignment. In this conversation, Meg shares what it’s really like to let go of stability for presence, how she worked through the guilt of wanting more family time, and what redefining success looks like when you’re a mum who’s ready to do life differently. This episode is a love letter to every woman sitting in that in-between — craving more of what matters, but not sure how to say yes to it yet.You can find Meg here: www.newchaptercoaching.com.auInsta: @newchapter_coachingTikTok:@newchaptercoachingCurious to keep the conversation going? We’ve got a little email love note that lands in your inbox every fortnight, with our latest podcast episode, a past gem on a similar topic, and a little question or idea to get you thinking (and maybe even saying yes to yourself). If that sounds like your vibe, just email us at [email protected] with “Pop me on the list!” and we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing.

    86. Heidi’s YES Story - The Burnt Out Mumma Who Chose Herself

What happens when you finally realise that just 'doing what needs to be done' in life isn’t working anymore? That was the moment our guest, Heidi, reached her own Big YES, the moment she recognised burnout for what it really was, and chose to do something about it.In this episode, we chat with Heidi about how she learned to spot the signs of burnout, the exhaustion that no amount of sleep could fix, the irritability, the loss of joy, and how that awareness became the spark for a completely new way of being.Heidi shares how her own journey through burnout inspired her to create The Burnt Out Mumma Retreat, a 7-day, one-on-one space designed especially for mums to rest, reset, and rediscover themselves. She opens up about the real conversations that take place before saying yes to something like this, the inner dialogue, the guilt, the logistics, and the deep desire underneath it all for peace and presence. We explore what burnout really sounds like in a mum’s world, the constant doing, the invisible load, the ache for space, and what shifts when you finally make yourself the priority. Heidi also walks us through what her retreat experience looks like, from the calm, nurturing setting to the personalised support that helps women reconnect with who they are beyond the overwhelm. This episode is for every mum who’s ever whispered, “I can’t keep doing this.” It’s a reminder that saying yes to yourself might just start with admitting you’re tired and giving yourself permission to step out for a moment and rest. You can Find Heidi here : https://theburntoutmumma.comUntil next timeNat and MelCurious to keep the conversation going? We’ve got a little email love note that lands in your inbox every fortnight, with our latest podcast episode, a past gem on a similar topic, and a little question or idea to get you thinking (and maybe even saying yes to yourself). If that sounds like your vibe, just email us at [email protected] with “Pop me on the list!” and we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing.

    85. Project Health: Rachael's Journey of Advocacy, Resilience and Reclaiming her Health.

What happens when your body starts whispering, then screaming, for your attention? This is where Rachael's journey began a few years ago.Rachael is a functional nutritionist with a wealth of experience in health, fitness, and hormones. But her Big YES didn’t come from textbooks, it came from her own health journey. After years of “doing it all,” and living in the constant grind, Rachael’s body began to push back. At first it was little niggles, then louder symptoms she couldn’t ignore.Instead of accepting surface-level answers, Rachael chose to advocate fiercely for herself. She asked for more tests, pushed for the right diagnosis, and refused to settle. That determination turned into what she now calls Project Health, a conscious commitment to make her wellbeing non-negotiable.Her story is a reminder that health is never a straight line. There were bumps, frustrations, and plenty of lessons along the way. But out of that came clarity, resilience, and a whole new way of living.Rachael also shares how her father’s sudden passing from a brain aneurysm shaped her perspective. She didn’t want stress, overwork, and burnout to be her story too. So she made the decision to listen, to change, and to say YES to a life that supported her body and her dreams. In this episode, you’ll hear Rachael’s raw journey of health advocacy, her powerful mindset shifts, and the ripple effect her choices continue to have on her life. It’s a call for all of us to stop ignoring the whispers and start saying YES to the care we truly need. You can find Rachael here: Instagram@rach_jobling_nutritionistEmail - [email protected] link https://www.facebook.com/share/1Aeu2n5tTs/?mibextid=wwXIfrUntil next time,Nat and Mel

    84. Tiny Home, Big Adventure: Lisa's BIG YES to Family and Freedom

Sometimes we tick all the boxes of what life should look like, the house, the jobs, the cars, the routine,  only to realise it doesn’t actually feel good. That’s where our friend Lisa found herself. Her Big YES began as a conversation with her husband: What if this isn’t it? Whatif there’s another way we could live? From there, a bold idea took root, to sell their home, let go of their jobs, and buy a bus they could transform into a tiny home on wheels. With two young kids in tow, they gutted the bus, rebuilt it from the inside out, and set off to travel Australia together. This wasn’t just about adventure (though there were plenty of those) but about choosing connection: being together as a family, learning about each other, enjoying each other’s company, and making memories that would last a lifetime. The journey was filled with challenges, unknowns, and plenty of learning curves. But Lisa shares how the most beautiful parts were the people they met along the way, strangers who became friends, helpers who showed up at the right moment, and the joy of community beyond their own little family. Now, years later, the family still reflects on that season with so much gratitude. The photos, the stories, the shared laughter it was more than a trip. It was a YES to living differently, to trusting their instincts, and to prioritising family over the “shoulds” of modern life. This episode will leave you asking: What bold YES could create deeper connection for me and my family? You can find Lisa's adventure documented in her instagram @tinyvoyagers Until next timeNat and MelCurious to keep the conversation going? We’ve got a little email love note that lands in your inbox every fortnight, with our latest podcast episode, a past gem on a similar topic, and a little question or idea to get you thinking (and maybe even saying yes to yourself). If that sounds like your vibe, just email us at [email protected] with “Pop me on the list!” and we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing.

    83. The Power of Asking for Help. Sharon Kempton’s Big YES!

This week’s conversation is one of courage, resilience, and the kind of YES that completely reshapes a life. Our guest, Sharon Kempton, shares her story of leaving her marriage while raising two children, aged 7 and 11. At the very same time, she faced the shock of being let go from her role at her local Opera House (due to new management) the very place she’d poured her passion and dreams into. Suddenly, she found herself navigating motherhood, moving house, and figuring out how to keep her opera dreams alive, all at once.It would have been easy to slip into victimhood, to feel powerless in the face of so much loss and change. But Sharon chose differently. She chose to say YES to herself, YES to wanting more for her children, and YES to creating a new path forward. What made this big YES possible? Community. Sharon speaks beautifully about the power of asking for help, and the angels who appeared in her life when she did. It was her willingness to reach out, to lean on others, and to believe she was worthy of something better that carried her through. Her story is a reminder that the hardest decisions are often the bravest, and that choosing to step out of what’s not working is just as much a YES as stepping into something new. This episode will leave you inspired to ask: what would be possible if I trusted myself enough to ask for help, and brave enough to say YES to the life I really want?Until next time,Nat and MelYou can find Sharon here: www.sharonkempton-coach.com https://sharonkempton-coach.com/5-mindset-shifts-for-auditions https://sharonkempton-coach.com/master-your-audition-mindset-mini-coursehttps://sharonkempton-coach.com/tentipsforyournextaudition-ebookhttps://sharonkempton-coach.com/affirmyourpower-ebookCurious to keep the conversation going? We’ve got a little email love note that lands in your inbox every fortnight, with our latest podcast episode, a past gem on a similar topic, and a little question or idea to get you thinking (and maybe even saying yes to yourself). If that sounds like your vibe, just email us at [email protected] with “Pop me on the list!” and we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing.

    80. What's Perfection Really Costing You - With Miranda Hodge

This week on Grab Your Keys and Go, we’re joined by the brilliant and big-hearted Miranda for a deep-dive chat on perfectionism, and how it sneakily sabotages our ability to say yes to ourselves. We explore the real connection between perfectionism, self-worth, and the invisible expectations we carry as mothers. Miranda shares her lived experience of what perfectionism looks like in her world: bouncing from task to task, feeling constantly behind, and struggling to acknowledge what’s already been done, because there’s always more to do.It’s a conversation that goes beneath the surface of productivity and into the why, why do we push ourselves so hard, and what are we really afraid of if we slow down? We unpack the voice of the inner critic, the stories we’ve inherited about what it means to be a “good mum,” and how perfectionism can show up as overfunctioning, overwhelm, and an inability to receive support. We also chat about what helps. Miranda shares the first small steps that began to shift things for her, especially the power of self-compassion and using gentler words when that critical voice gets loud. Because sometimes the bravest thing we can do is pause, notice the pattern, and choose to speak to ourselves like we would to someone we love. This one’s full of ah-ha moments and real permission to drop the guilt and reclaim your yes. 79: When Saying Yes Doesn’t Go to Plan (and What Happens Next)

You finally carve out a moment that’s just for you—a coffee date, a solo walk, a long-awaited massage. You say the YES, you block the time, maybe even line up the childcare. And then… life happens.Sick kids. A friend’s cancellation. A curveball in the calendar. Suddenly, the one thing you were holding onto for some relief or joy is off the table. In this week’s episode, Mel and I dive into those moments—when our precious “yes” doesn’t go to plan. We’ve both had some hilarious, frustrating, and all-too-familiar stories recently that reminded us: it’s not always the yes itself, but what we do next that really matters. In the past, these cancellations would’ve sent us spiralling—disappointed, angry, maybe even quietly resentful. Especially when it felt like the one shot we had for space or connection was gone. But now? We’ve learned to meet those moments differently. We ask: Why are we waiting weeks between giving ourselves what we need? Why does one missed moment send us under? And how can we still say yes in the moment, even when the plan has changed? This episode is for every mum who’s ever had her plans derailed by life’s chaos—and wants to know how to keep choosing herself, even in the middle of the mess.Live Passionately Nat and Mel xxCurious to keep the conversation going? 78. The 'Suck It Up' Myth & What We Are Choosing Instead

This week’s conversation is a gentle rebellion against that all-too-familiar message so many of us were raised with: “Suck it up. Just get on with it.”We’ve heard it from family, society, workplaces, even from that inner voice that’s been running on autopilot since forever. But what if there’s another way? What if we didn’t have to white-knuckle our way through roles, routines, or responsibilities that are quietly draining the life out of us?In this episode, we explore:💬 The quiet questioning happening in our friendship circles—“Do I have to keep doing this?”💡 The power of conversations that challenge “this is just how it is”💥 How curiosity can crack open new possibilities—in our families, businesses, money stories, and everyday livesWe’re talking about the subtle shifts and bold decisions that come from asking, “Is this really true for me?”Whether it’s the job that’s misaligned, the mental load you didn’t sign up for, or the dream you keep putting off, this episode will help you start reimagining what’s possible.Because you don’t have to stay stuck in a version of life that no longer fits. You’re allowed to question. You’re allowed to want more. You’re allowed to choose again. So grab your keys, your courage, and maybe a coffee, this one’s a conversation we all need to hear.Live Passionately Nat and Mel xxSPLASH OF LIFE with MelARE YOU READY TO BECOME CREATIVELY ALIVE in your business?Mel has just launched her Canva and Design Foundations course. 77. Interrupted. Again. The Chopped-Up Time Dilemma for Mums

If you’re a mum trying to run a business, a household, and maybe even just watch a full episode of something without being interrupted -this one’s for you.In this episode, we’re diving into the frustrating reality of chopped up time. You know the feeling, you’re in flow with your work, and then the school bell rings. You’re just about to rest and watch your show, and someone needs a drink, a story, a cuddle. You find a pocket of time to think, create, or rest... only to be pulled out of it mid-thought.Mel shares a recent personal story that sums it all up - the push-pull of wanting to be present for your kids and your passions, and the frustration that can come with never quite being able to drop all the way in. We talk about the paralysis that sometimes creeps in when you finally do get a moment to yourself, but the layers of interruption have built up so much that you don’t know what to do with it.We revisit some of the strategies from our earlier episodes around ‘time magic’, like using the micro-gaps wisely and giving yourself permission to drop in fast. But more than anything, this episode is a love note to uninterrupted time. To claiming space. To booking the solo date, the creative day, or even the weekend away that removes the distractions altogether and lets you flow.Because mums need more than just five-minute breaks, we need time that feels like it’s truly ours.Until next time,Nat and Mel xxSPLASH OF LIFE with MelJoin Mel in her HOLISTIC approach to personal brand visibility. 76. Celebrating Without Pretending - Owning What You Really Want!

In this episode, Mel and I delve into the complexities of special occasions like Mother's Day and birthdays. These events often come with heightened expectations, and when reality doesn't align, it can lead to disappointment. We share personal stories highlighting how we sometimes downplay our desires -  saying things like, "Oh, don't worry about my birthday," or "I don't need anything special." However, we've come to realize the importance of owning our desires and communicating them clearly. If celebrating your birthday with family and friends brings you joy, it's okay to express that. If you have specific hopes for Mother's Day, articulating them can help your loved ones understand and meet your expectations.Communication is key. By expressing what we truly want, we give our partners and children the opportunity to show up for us in meaningful ways. It's not about grand gestures but about feeling seen and appreciated.Join us as we explore the significance of being honest about our needs and the positive impact it can have on our relationships and personal fulfillment.See you soon,Nat and Mel xxSPLASH OF LIFE with MelJoin Mel in her HOLISTIC approach to personal brand visibility. 75. Wired, Tired & Still Going? Let’s Unpack That with Nat

In this episode of Grab Your Keys and Go, we are flipping the script on hustle and diving deep into something we all say we want but often resist: REST.Why is it so hard to rest? Especially as mothers, business owners, women who care deeply, why does stopping feel so unnatural? We chat about the invisible pressures we carry to be “the good woman” Always thinking ahead, taking care of everyone else, being productive, holding it all together. We talk about how these stories run deep, often leaving us hyper-vigilant, wired, and running on empty. Even when we want to slow down, our nervous system is like, “Um, no thanks, I’m busy making sure everyone’s okay.” Sound familiar? There’s also this little thing called control. We unpack how our desire to keep things smooth (especially when it comes to the wellbeing of our kids or managing all the moving parts of life) makes it even harder to truly let go and rest. But the truth is, when we never pause, we miss the chance to refill our own tank. This episode is a reminder that rest is not a reward. It’s a right. And it’s also one of the boldest ways we can say YES to ourselves. So if you’re someone who says “I’ll rest when everything’s done” (spoiler: it never is), come sit with us. You’re not lazy. You’re human. And if you are having trouble saying YES to that, then come and spend some time in the Breathing Room 'in person' or online with me, I'll show you how its done. xxYou can find out more about me here:https://www.instagram.com/shebreathesnow/In person session here:https://shebreathes.as.me/BreathingRoomShe Breathes exists to help mothers come home to themselves, one breath, one moment, one choice at a time, so that she can know herself, trust herself, and lead herself.

    74. Let the Inner Critic Ride Shotgun (but don't hand over the keys) with Lisa Quinney

This week, we sat down with the wonderful Lisa from Walk with Lisa for a deeply insightful and refreshingly honest chat all about the inner critic. You know the voice - that one that creeps in with doubt, comparison, or harsh judgement.Lisa generously shared her take on this inner voice, and spoiler alert: it’s not just one critic we’re dealing with (sorry, friends) - it’s many! But before you brace yourself, Lisa brings a beautifully compassionate perspective to this truth. Even though the tone of our inner critics can be far from kind, they’ve been doing an important job: trying to protect us.Through her own personal healing journey, Lisa has learned how to build a respectful relationship with these parts of herself. Instead of letting the critic take the wheel, she’s found a way to keep it in the backseat - acknowledging its presence, but not giving it control. It’s a gentle, grounded take on something we all deal with, and her way of explaining it makes so much sense. As always, we brought it back to our core theme - saying yes to yourself. Because the truth is, our inner critic often pipes up when we want to say yes to things that feel joyful, creative, or just for us - like singing, painting, writing, or trying something new. That’s where we stop ourselves, judge ourselves, or abandon the fun altogether. This conversation is a beautiful reminder that we don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it - and that saying yes to what lights us up is reason enough.Thank you Lisa, for this epic conversation! You can find Lisa and her beautiful work here: https://www.walkwithlisa.com.au/coursesUntil next time,Nat and Mel xxooSPLASH OF LIFE with MelJoin Mel in her HOLISTIC approach to personal brand visibility. 73. The Cost of Staying Small: A Conversation on Being Truly Seen with Mel

You are in for an absolute treat today....This week’s episode is a powerful and deeply honest conversation between Nat and Mel, diving into the topic of visibility wounds — the emotional imprints many of us carry from not feeling seen, heard, or valued in key moments of our lives.Nat asks Mel the kinds of questions that get right to the heart of it:How did this show up in your world? Tell us about the time it really landed for you? What does a visibility would feel like? And how do we begin to work through it?Mel shares openly about her own experiences and the deep, internal shifts that occurred when she began to acknowledge and heal this wound. She explores the way visibility wounds can show up quietly — for her especially around staying small — and how, once seen, it creates a ripple effect of transformation. One of the most powerful threads we explore is how visibility wounds can quietly hold us back from saying yes to ourselves. If you’ve ever felt resistance when it’s time to back yourself, speak up, or take up space in your business or life — this conversation will resonate deeply. Sometimes the very thing stopping us from stepping forward isn’t a lack of strategy… it’s an old belief that it’s not safe to be fully seen. Mel also shares how this wound shows up for the heart-led business owners she mentors. Her ability to witness others — to truly see them — has become her superpower and the foundation of her creative work. You can find more about Mel and her beautiful offerings for business owners here...SPLASH OF LIFE with MelJoin Mel in her HOLISTIC approach to personal brand visibility. 71. We Forgot our Keys (And What we Made it Mean)

The Key to It All (And What We Made It Mean)Ever noticed how two people can experience the exact same event but walk away with completely different stories? That’s the magic (and sometimes, the mess) of second-order reality—where the facts are one thing, but the meaning we attach to them is something else entirely. This week, we’re taking you on our trip to Melbourne to see Liz Gilbert—a night filled with excitement, a bit of logistical juggling, and one minor hiccup… forgetting the key to our rental. The first-order reality? The key was left behind. Simple fact. But the second-order reality? That was up to us.In that moment, I had two choices—I could have spiraled into guilt, feeling like a bad friend who let the team down and ruined our carefully planned night. Or I could see the bigger truth: I was surrounded by friends who stayed calm, jumped into solution mode, and reminded me that we were still completely fine. This episode is a real-time reminder of how we shape our own experiences—how we choose the story we tell ourselves. We chat about navigating these moments in life (big and small), how our minds love to fill in the blanks with meaning, and why it’s so important to catch ourselves before we turn a simple mishap into a self-judgment spiral. So, let’s talk about perception, reality, and the power of choosing the meaning that serves us best. Because the real key? It was never just about the key. 😉Until next time,Nat and Mel xoxoJoin us in our spaces ....SPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 70. The Magic of Deep Friendships

There’s something truly special about having that one person you can talk to every single day—someone who just gets you. In this episode, we’re diving into the beauty of deep, nourishing friendships. The ones where conversations never run dry, where you can go from laughing about the small things to diving straight into the deep stuff without hesitation.Friendships like these aren’t just about having fun; they’re about feeling seen, heard, and held. They’re about having someone who checks in, who cares enough to drop into your thoughts daily, and who truly enjoys your company. It’s the kind of relationship that energizes you, where you feel lighter just from a simple chat. But true friendships aren’t just about ease; they’re also about growth. The closest relationships can sometimes bring up discomfort or trigger old wounds. And yet, when there is trust, communication, and the ability to be vulnerable, these friendships deepen in the most beautiful way. It’s about being authentic, speaking your truth, and holding space for each other—even when conversations get uncomfortable. This episode is a love note to those friendships that make life richer. The ones where you feel safe to show up exactly as you are. 69. The Art of Receiving: Undoing Generations of Over-Giving with Jenni Mears

You can find Jenni here :  https://www.thefembodimentinstitute.com/Why is receiving so uncomfortable for so many women? We’re raised to give—to care, to nurture, to show up for everyone else. But when it comes to accepting support, tenderness, or even a simple act of kindness, we hesitate. In this episode, we sit down with Jenni from the Fembodiment Institute to explore how this conditioning runs deep. We begin with a scene many of us know too well—our mothers, grandmothers, and the women before them endlessly giving to their families, their communities, their workplaces. But when did we ever see them receiving with ease?Jenni shares a powerful moment from her women’s circles: a simple ritual of washing each other’s hands. What should have been a moment of care often turned into tears and discomfort. It was a stark reminder—many of us have been taught that our worth is tied to what we give, not what we allow ourselves to receive. But here’s the truth: receiving is not weakness. It’s not indulgent. It’s balance. It’s reclaiming space in a world that has long expected women to hold it all together. It’s radical, and it’s necessary. This is just the start of a much-needed conversation. We’ll be bringing Jenni back to continue exploring how we can rewire this deeply ingrained pattern—not just for ourselves, but for the generations of women to come. It’s time to stop seeing receiving as an afterthought. It’s time to take up space. Tune in and let’s begin.Until next time,Nat and Mel xxooJoin us in our spaces ....SPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 68. Mental Load Overload: Dear Brain, Please Stop Holding Everything

Time—it's something we all wish we had more of, yet it often feels like it slips through our fingers. In this episode, we’re playing with the illusion of time, exploring the balance between looking ahead and staying present in the moment. Some moments call for planning and forward thinking, but if we’re always in the future, we miss out on what’s happening right now. Other moments ask us to be fully present, yet the mental load of everything we need to do can make that feel impossible. So how do we manage it all without feeling overwhelmed? In this episode we chat about the never-ending list of things we hold in our heads like appointments, dinner, work tasks, getting the sports gear washed in time for the game, and all those tiny details that keep life running smoothly. And let’s be real: before kids, our brains could store way more information! That’s why we’re diving into what has worked for us (and what hasn’t) when it comes to managing our mental load. From systems that help clear space in our minds to routines that support a sense of calm, we’re sharing the small but powerful shifts that have made a difference in our homes, businesses, and everyday lives. If you’ve ever felt like your brain is running a never-ending to-do list, this episode is for you. 67. New Year, New Rituals: Creating Intentions That Stick

We’re back with Season 4 of Grab Your Keys and Go! And what better way to start than by diving into new year rituals—the ones that actually stick. In this episode, we chat about choosing a word for the year—a simple yet powerful ritual my family uses to bring intention into everything we do. It’s not just about picking a word and forgetting it by February; we weave it into our decisions and actions throughout the year. So far, our words are Deep Love, Unstoppable, and Nourish (we’re still waiting on hubby’s!). We’ve even brought this practice into our son’s school meet-and-greet, showing how these small rituals can ripple into daily life.Mel shares her family’s yearly summary ritual, a one-page reflection filled with gratitude and all the little moments that made the year special. The key? Keeping it sustainable—so many things drop off if they’re too complicated. That’s why accountability is crucial, whether through visual reminders, voice prompts, or external check-ins.We also talk about the importance of rest and reflection—taking inward time to reset, feel into what we truly need, and create spaciousness for new ideas. Sometimes, a little external kickstart helps too—like a masterclass or short course to spark inspiration and keep us in action.Join us as we explore small, sustainable ways to make this year feel intentional, aligned, and full of momentum.Until next time, live your passionNat and MelSPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. FINAL EPISODE FOR SEASON 3 xxIn this episode, we’re diving into the art of chasing joy and creating moments of celebration in our lives. It’s so easy to get caught up in the next thing on our to-do list, but taking time to recognize what we’ve accomplished and the incredible things that have happened can reignite a sense of joy and wonder.Celebrating wins is something we prioritize—whether it’s smashing a goal in business or personal life, we love marking the moment with a lunch or a special treat. But we also acknowledge how tricky this can be for solopreneurs. If that’s you, remember that sharing your wins with others can multiply the joy. There’s a whole community out there ready to cheer you on!We also explore where joy lives: it’s in the present moment. If we’re too busy or distracted, we can miss it altogether. That’s why infusing your life with the things you love is so important—it opens the door to joy.We finish with ideas for creating space to welcome joy into your life, from simplifying your routines to prioritizing what truly matters. So let’s bring back joy—together! Tune in and start celebrating all the amazing things, big and small, in your life.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelSPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 65. The Myth of Urgency: How to Embrace Slow Productivity

Have you ever felt like you’re falling behind? That overwhelming sense of urgency can creep in, making it seem like everything on your list needs to be done right now. It’s easy to get caught in the trap of urgency shaming, where unrealistic expectations and perceived judgments leave us feeling squeezed and panicked. But what if it doesn’t have to be that way? In this episode, we explore the concept of slow productivity—a refreshing approach to managing your home, business, parenting, and life without the overwhelm. We dive into practical ways to pause, check in, and reassess what’s truly urgent. Ask yourself:Is this a priority?Does it need to be done now?Can it wait for another time?Instead of setting ourselves up with impossible to-do lists, we focus on single-tasking and making sustainable choices. Productivity isn’t about doing it all; it’s about doing what matters most with intention and care.Join us as we talk through the tension between shame and self-compassion, the myths of urgency, and how we can create a sustainable rhythm in both life and business. 64. When Saying NO Feels Oh-So Right!

Did you know that "No" is a full sentence? Just "No, thank you," without the need for a long-winded explanation. Sounds simple, right? Yet so many of us struggle to say it with confidence. In this episode, Mel and I dive into the power of saying no—and why it’s such an essential part of self-care. It all starts with knowing yourself and what’s truly important to you. After all, every time you say yes to someone else, you’re saying no to something for yourself. We share how saying no helps us protect our energy in our families and businesses. Funny enough, we’ve noticed it feels easier to say no when we’re unwell (because we have to) than when we’re capable. But what if we stayed in the moment, listened to our needs, and gave ourselves permission to say no anyway? It’s all about being present, holding your boundaries, and trusting that things will still work out. Because they will.Join us for this conversation and learn how to embrace your no—no explanations required!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelSPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 63.Behind the Scenes of GYKG Podcast and How to Start your Own

So how did we come up with the idea to start a podcast? And is it something that you could do?This flows on nicely from episode 62 last week: Embracing your Zones of Genius as Mel and I naturally loooooove chatting with each other and chatting with other people so it was really a no brainer for us.We fell into podcasting because we love having a good conversation, our hubbies laugh because we would see each other daily and still have so much to talk about! It was then that we decided, perhaps other Mum's might like to talk about these things too.So we hired a coach to help us put out message together and off we went! However before diving into the podcast world it's good to have a think about a few things. The number one thing of course is, Will you love doing it?Podcasting needs consistency, like all business connecting tools, you need to be able to do it over and over again.Podcasting is still our most fav part of our biz week (apart from speaking with our epic clients of course!)Do you love chatting with people?  Do you love sharing information with people?Do you love good conversation?  Check in to see if this medium of connecting is for you xxxSecondly, do you have the time.As we mention in the podcast, its takes around 5 hours an episode to put a whole podcast together, which includes recording time, podcast notes, podcast editing, marketing your podcast etc etc.We have it down to a fine art now, but at the beginning you will need the time to learn the skills to put it all together.  Listen in for some more podcasting tips with us!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelSPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 62. Embracing Your Zone of Genius in Business

This week, we're diving into the power of working within your zone of genius—the unique space where you feel energized, confident, and impactful. Here’s the key: not every task in your business needs to be about learning something new or constantly upgrading. Sometimes, the best move is doubling down on your strengths and creating room for the magic you bring. We explore the importance of finding people who can help with tasks outside your genius zone. Whether it’s social media, admin, or tech setup, there’s immense value in outsourcing what drains you. For example, I recently transitioned much of my business to Instagram. I loved the creative strategy side of it, but the nitty-gritty execution? Not so much. Recognizing this, I brought in help—and what a game-changer!If a task feels like a frustration or time-waster, it’s often a sign it’s time to delegate. Alternatively, if you find yourself procrastinating because something feels “hard,” pause and ask: Can I pair this task with something I love? For example, tackling admin while brainstorming big ideas can make the process more enjoyable and productive. This episode reminds us to lead with our strengths. When you make room for your genius zone, whether it’s dreaming up ideas, connecting with your audience, or creating solutions, you stay in flow—and that feels good! Finally, we discuss the delicate balance of forcing vs. flowing. When you stop forcing yourself into areas that aren’t natural and instead embrace what feels good, you’ll notice not just more ease but also a thriving business.Let’s reimagine work: less struggle, more flow, and more YOU at the heart of your business. Tune in now to make it happen!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelSPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 61. Making Time for What Matters: Mastering the Art of Backwards Maths

Have you seen the funny insta reels out there on this topic!I cracked up the first time I heard about Backwards Maths. For some of us backwards maths is no joke! And it can really hurt your head trying to figure out how to make time for all the things to come together, especially when you have to do it backwards! This week, Mel and I dive into the art of backwards planning and why it’s a game-changer for creating space for yourself amid the chaos. We share our own laugh-out-loud examples and show how a little intentional time management helps us say "yes" to ourselves—without forgetting about dinner or the million other moving parts! Whether it’s cooking meals mid-afternoon or finding the right time to squeeze in self-care, this episode is all about reclaiming your time. While spontaneity is awesome, sometimes a little organisation goes a long way.And a small side note, if you were one of those kids that found maths challenging, I just want to say, ‘look at you go now!’Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelSPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 60. One Man Down: Priorities, Boundaries, and a Little Extra Self-Care

One man down in our house (yes he is improving) and the painting for the reno's is nearly finished (Phew)When you set up your life as a two person household and one goes down, it's time to get serious with your priorities. And you guessed it, boundaries! So the first thing that I did, was set up my week in a way that would not overload me, but I could still get the essentials done, along with the extra renovation stuff.I was working at a 'one step at the time, one day at a time pace'.And the biggest thing that I was taking care of was me.I made sure I was in bed early, that I was eating well, that I still had my down time (even if just for short moments) and I didn't take on anything extra.I actually shed off anything that didn't really need my attention for now.And there were probably a few moments where I used the word 'NO'.One beautiful thing that does pop up when there is one man down in the household is an appreciation for all that they do, to keep your household and the people in it running smoothly. And my hubby is exceptionally great at the sports trips and getting the dishes done!If you are in a space where you have one man down at the moment, take care and remember to look after yourself too.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568YOU CAN FIND NAT AND MEL HERE:SPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 59. The Art of the Solo Mum-Cation: How Mums Can Set Boundaries and Take a Real Break

I took a leap and decided to book my holidays outside of the school holidays. In the past I have worked one week and taken one week off, but it’s never really a holiday and I knew I needed a bit of down time to myself. I hear what you are saying, but what about the kids, what did they do all day???Well I work a few jobs part time, so I had some flexibility already in the holidays, and they are also a bit older so could manage some of the time themselves. And I could ask, ‘What about me?’.For most of us the guilt would set in!  The need to take care of everyone has a strong pull for a mother. It comes back to being able to have conversations with your family around what it is we all need and how we can help each other meet those needs. It also takes some strong will to not let things creep into that time you have set aside for yourself, whether it be a week or a couple of days or an afternoon.Mum’s need to get good at holding their boundaries. It’s crucial so you can take good care of yourself. XxYou will be pleased to know that I held my boundary well, and I followed the flow of the day, each day and had the most wonderful week. And because I had created the space I got really creative in my biz, and set a few things in action!  Again following the flow.  It was so fun and I highly recommend it to every Mum out there!Be intentional.Set the date.Protect the date.Enjoy the time with yourself.Rinse and Repeat regularly.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568SPLASH OF LIFE with MelIf you are a heart led entrepreneur ready to share your gifts with more clarity, passion and purpose, Mel's Holistic approach to personal branding could be a beautiful option to explore. 58. Passion Unleashed: Lou’s Journey from Classroom to Workplace Mental Health Magic!

We are super excited to have Lou as a guest on our podcast. She is highly motivated and passionate about her work in the world and in this episode we get to understand how she stays focused on her dream.Lou had been a teacher for 20 years before she dived head first into her vision.  She had tried to bring her vision to life in the school space, but unfortunately they were not ready for her innovative ideas (sound familiar?)Instead of waiting it out for another 20 years in education, Lou decided to embark on her journey herself, to bring forth into the world her new ideas and ways of working with people that included focusing on the relationships. In her teaching space she recognised that children learn better when they have good, safe relationships with their teacher. So Lou then expanded this idea for adults and out into the workplace, where she now advocates and educates in workplace mental health. She is passionate about how business’ approach mental health, educating them on the integral link between a positive work environment and overall success.Lou’s guiding principle - “When we look after our people, they look after the business”You can see how a passionate WHY can keep you in your business!Lou also shares the craziness of living your passion and how to look after yourself while doing it.Thanks for joining us Lou.You can find Lou here:Email - [email protected] - 0370431010W - www.theteamapproach.com.auLinktree - https://linktr.ee/theteamapproachSocials -Instagram - Lou Lugsdin The Team Approach handle - @theeapcounsellorFacebook - The Team ApproachLinkedIn - http://linkedin.com/in/lou-lugsdin-eap-counselling-provider-and-wellbeing-architect-1b603bb8Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568REVIVEA community supported journey of living passionately. For the passionate creator who is ready to dust off her passions from the top shelf and REVIVE the energy back into herself.WORKSHOPS available

    57. Consistency: The Secret Sauce to Getting Stuff Done (And Loving It!)

Let’s talk about that universal challenge we all face—sticking with something consistently. Whether it's exercise, writing, or keeping your kitchen counters clear, consistency can feel like climbing Everest. So why do we struggle? Because it comes down to the why. Why are you doing the thing you’re doing? If your reason doesn't fire you up, it’s tough to keep going. You need that spark to ignite consistency, and it has to feel valuable to you. Here's where the magic comes in—when you align your actions with your values, consistency becomes a whole lot easier. It’s like finding a rhythm instead of forcing yourself into a rigid routine. Want to know more about aligning your values? Check out my episode on values right here ( ).But let's be real—sometimes even the most aligned activities can feel like a chore. So how do you stay committed? The trick is to add a little fun into the mix. It’s okay to get creative! Maybe grab a buddy for accountability, or crank up your favorite playlist while you tackle that big project. Find the part that’s enjoyable or create joy within the challenge.Consistency doesn't just build good habits—it builds you. Taking action, no matter how small, builds self-trust and confidence. Once you take that first step, momentum kicks in and, before you know it, you’re creating a beautiful rhythm that feels good. Start with something that’s easy to access, and keep showing up for yourself. After all, the challenge at the start makes the reward even sweeter in the end.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568SAY YES TO YOUContact us: @grabyourkeysandgo

    56. Time Magic

Yep we are talking about TIME aaaagain! You know why?Because as a mother it can feel like it’s always against us.Even late last night my daughter tells me that she needs to be at school at 8.15am the next day!And so the time manipulation begins.Has anyone seen that reel on instagram where the Mum is doing backwards math? This is my life.Having the activity time in my head, then counting back how to get us there at that time while fitting in all the other things that need to be done.So it pays to look at time in a different way and that’s what we are doing in this episode.Mel and I share our tips and tricks for working with time, and even going one better and making time magical. Playing to our strengths and being in control rather than constantly letting time be in control of us!The first step is to be aware of how you see time and aware of time itself.Buried heads in the sand usually equates to rushing, lots and lots of being late, and huge anxiety for both you and your kids.Once you are aware of time, you can then bring the time magic. You will have a super power of bending time, manipulating time, using time to your benefit and it’s going to feel bloooody goooooood!Using time this way helps us to keep our passions alive.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568REVIVEA community supported journey of living passionately. For the passionate creator who is ready to dust off her passions from the top shelf and REVIVE the energy back into herself.WORKSHOPS available The REVIVE Journey:Contact us: [email protected]

    55. REDEFINE - Dish It Out: How the Dishes Keep Teaching Us Life Lessons

Episode 55.  How the Dishes Keep Teaching Us Life Lessons Yep, the bloody dishes conversation has reared its head again!!I feel like the dishes conversation is a metaphor for so many things in life! Most noted, is how we deal with things we need to do consistently in life and how to love that we get to do these things daily!I remember doing the dishes at home when I was growing up, and we would just know that it was something we needed to do, we set a routine, and we also had some fun while doing it. (as mentioned in today’s episode)It’s a bit like when dinner is ‘your job’ and again it seems to come around every day (how does that happen?) How do you make it something that still feels good?I know across the time, I have changed things up so that it doesn’t feel like the monotonous job that it is.I’ve ordered Hello Fresh for a few months, I have made games with the kids like the ‘mince meat challenge’, sometimes the kids cook, Hubby has a couple of cooking shifts a week.  And when it gets really dire, I put on my fav tunes and dance and sing and cook.So it’s not really the thing that’s the problem, it’s how we feel about it and that can change day to day depending on what mood we choose to hang out in.It always comes back to choice.  How can we approach our week in a way that feels good? How can we set ourselves up for success?  How can we be grateful that we have food to cook and dishes to wash in houses that are warm and cosy?Listen in and see how Mel and I navigate these questions.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    54. REORGANISE - Uncover hidden moments of JOY in your day, even when life feels too full.

EPISODE 54.  REORGANISE - Uncover hidden moments of JOY in your day, even when life feels too full. How can I fit the things I love into my life? What is it that tends to get in the way of you making time for yourself during the week?Yes it can be the children’s activities, it might be the mundane tasks like washing dishes and doing laundry. But it could also be the way we think about time.Often Mum’s are living 10 steps ahead of everyone else in the future, which can lead to the illusion that there is not enough time for anything else, as you are already all booked up in your head!Or do you sometimes misread how long things can take, that each tasks fills up a huge amount of time, but really it might only take half the amount of time that you first thought?  There are all the gaps that are available to you when you live in the present. When you start to play with time, you can start to see how you can make things work. One of the most practical things you can do to help you with time, is to use your calendar with intention.Reminding yourself that you are in control of your week, and what you put in your calendar and how you use that time.Start by taking a look over your calendar, (do you even have a calendar?) see where you can block some things together or like me, while I’m waiting for my daughter at work I take my book, or download a podcast, so it’s still my time too. If you don’t take control of your time, then I guarantee that someone else will.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    53. From Blah to Beyoncé: How Passion Turns Mundane into Magic

Episode 53.  From Blah to Beyoncé: How Passion Turns Mundane into Magic How can we get excited about our life!!We do the things we love of course. You know those times when you are feeling flat, tired, bored, lethargic and just can’t seem to get yourself through the day, well that is often a tell tale sign that there is not enough good stuff in your world right now.We gain so much energy from doing the activities that we love most.  These creative spaces fuel us.And when we are inviting our passions in regularly, our energy is reignited and this cascades throughout the rest of our life bringing grounding and patience to spaces that would in the past drain us i.e. the dishes, cooking dinner etc. When we have the energy in our body, we don’t seem to mind the chores, or our children’s requests, because we have the capacity to hold it all.Mel and I share some of the spaces that really light us up, so that you can start to get curious about what this might look like for you in your life.We also noticed that this can happen in your business space too.  Again getting stuck in the jobs that feel hard (like for me the numbers and the tech!) and forgetting to put aside time in your biz for the things that you absolutely rock at!!Infuse your life with things you love!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    52. 🥰READY to Speak up for your Needs! Reclaiming Your Voice

Episode 52. Reclaiming your VOICESOOOOOO passionate about this one!Thinking back on my journey to getting more of the things I love back into my life after having children, I remember it starting with some inner work.I first had to make time to get quiet.  To get the body quiet, to get the mind quiet so I could really listen in to what it was I needed. And part of it was remembering what was important to me in my life.  Sometimes we get so easily swept away in our parenting duties, hanging out way too far in the future, and forget about what it is we need now.I think once you get more clear on what it is that you need in your life, you can better start to speak this out to those close to you, friends and family. And boy is it messy to begin with.If you have kept quiet in your space for most of your life, talking about your needs to others can be a bit confronting at first. But as you heard Mel chat about in the episode, her son is hearing what she is doing to make things happen in her life, and as she continues to hold her boundary around it, her family is now very encouraging of her choices for spending time doing the things she loves. The key to understanding who gets to hold the boundary is knowing who this is most important too? When we want to bring something into our life, we have to be the one to take responsibility for it.  And often the first step to this when we live with other people is to let them know just how important it is to you, and why it’s important to you, and to even get brave enough to ask for their help to make it happen. It’s surprising how much support you will receive once you speak out your needs. Then it’s up to you to hold the boundary.  It’s up to you to protect your time. The best advice I can give you right now is to just give it a go.  Get quiet, and get clear on what it is you need, then trust yourself to speak up and make it happen.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    51. REIGNITE - Revive Your Vibe: From Tired to Inspired!

Episode 51. REIGNITINGMel and I with our matching T-Shirts (slightly different colours) are reigniting our passion this week for our bodies and starting to invite in what we need to keep them healthy. It’s been a wild ride over the years, since having my children, keeping consistent in the area of my physical body health.  I’ve done the 5am club, I’ve been running, I’ve engaged PT trainers a few times, I did some strength training last term.I do feel proud of myself for keeping my physical body health front of mind, and I know I need to work on the consistency part!So today we are chatting about how do we keep these important things in our diary and continue to take action!First things first, we need to be connected to ‘why’ we are doing it in the first place.  This links very closely with our values.Take a listen to our recent podcast if you need some more information about this.https://www.buzzsprout.com/2218063/episodes/15602236-50-she-shines-reconnecting-with-your-valuesIf it doesn’t align with what you care about in your world it will feel hard, at first, to create the consistency. So connect in and go a little deeper.  You might feel that pull to exercise, but just that alone might not be enough to get you to be consistent in that space.I know exercise is important for me, because when I move my body it feels flexible and free.  This then ties into my value of self growth, connection to self, and my value around health and keeping my body feeling well. When we know what we are working towards that gives us the momentum to get there. It helps us to say yes, even when it takes some extra effort to do it.Another important tip that might help you stay consistent is to grab a buddy. As I mentioned at the start of these notes, Mel and I often buddy up to get things done!  Exercise being one of them, but we also help each other stay accountable in our daily biz tasks, and self growth adventures.Having a support system is such a great way to bust through those challenges that we can face when we are having a low week, or other things start creeping into our world and we need to keep the focus on our YES space. The last thing is inviting some systems in your life.  Being intentional about where you spend your time, and finding the gaps to make room for the things that light you up.You can listen to the GAPS episode here:https://www.buzzsprout.com/2218063/13250098Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

EPISODE 50.  Reconnecting to Your ValuesHave you ever thought about why you do what you do?  Why you are drawn to some things in life and not others? Why you can always find the time and money for the things that light you up?It’s because you are living your values.  Values are the deeply held beliefs that guide your actions, decisions, and behaviors. They are the principles that you consider important in life, influencing how you interact with others, approach challenges, and determine what is meaningful to you. Values can reflect your sense of right and wrong and shape your priorities and sense of purpose. In this episode Mel and I share how our values can impact our experiences in life.We are always having a laugh about the books we buy, the growth summits we pay to watch, the art supply shopping and somehow we find the money!!!But two seconds later we might be a ‘no’ to the new TV our husband thinks we should buy! It’s all based on what we value.  The cool think about knowing your values, is that it can really help you with your decision making.  It helps with what you say YES to and what you say NO to in our own life.It also helps you to understand when you have a value clash with someone else including your children, or your partner. When you start to recognise others' values, the way you communicate with each other can change. This is why it’s so important to recognise your own first, so you can see how you go about making decisions and have a deep knowing as to why you choose certain things or experiences.Knowing yourself is a game changer, for you and those around you.Enjoy diving in!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    49. REMEMBERING: Sparking Joy - A Trip Down Memory Lane

A community supported journey of living passionately. For the passionate creator ready to dust off her passions from the top shelf and  REVIVE the energy back into herself. The REVIVE Journey:www.soulpresence.com.auEpisode 49. Sparking Joy - A Trip Down Memory LaneOk so your passions may have left the building for now, but how can we start to invite them back in!We believe that one of the first steps is to sit in a space of Remembering.Reminiscing and looking back on all the things across your time that you loved.Mel and I share a few in the podcast to get you thinking, but I really remember things like swinging on the swing at home, listening and singing to songs I love, changing my bedroom around, cooking yummy cakes, being creative with lego and in the sandpit, running and being outside with the animals. Our body has a great way of inviting back in those feelings once we can tap into them, and it can ignite the spark again, as we start to get curious around what it is about those things that we really love. One suggestion to get you moving on this is to write a ‘love list’.  As you are remembering, write down all the things that you love, and you might start to see a pattern forming around the things that light you up.You also might now notice some of those things that are missing from your life and this is where you get to make the decision to bring them back in. xMel and I are always on the learning train, and it’s no different when it comes to knowing ourselves.  Another way to explore and connect with yourself is to have some fun with all of the amazing tools that are out there.I have included a few of the ones that we have used and continue to use and have found value in.What I love most about these tools, is that you already know these cool things about yourself, but sometimes society can put a bit of a dampener on you really truly stepping into yourself from fear of being rejected.https://www.myhumandesign.com/https://www.16personalities.com/https://www.discprofile.com/what-is-dischttps://www.gallup.com/cliftonstrengths/en/home.aspxWe would love for you to share some of your results with us.Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    48. RECOMITTING to What Matters: The Power of Passion

I just loooooove watching people who are committed to their passion. And not just committed, but actually enjoying their passion.Their passion is what gives them energy, whether paid or unpaid. It’s a beautiful thing to witness, and I think it’s what makes the world a better place. As I explain in the podcast, I recently watched the Celine Dion documentary and I could just feel the joy in her body when she spoke about her life with singing in it.So if it feels so good, why when we become a mother, or when we get bogged down in life stress, that the first thing that goes is what makes us happy. And we start to come up with stories to tell ourselves why we can’t have this fun in our life anymore, like ‘I don’t have enough time’, ‘I don’t have enough money’, which underneath is really about how we feel about ourselves and how much we know our worth. And that’s ok, because now we have an opportunity to really get curious and explore what that’s about. This takes intention.  To bring something in that is important to you, it takes a recommitment to yourself, it takes radical self responsibility and you are the one to make it happen.Mel and I are here for the ride.  We know the journey well.  We are right there with you.We have both, this year, just invited back in some of our passions again, music, movement, rest and art.  We are done with just talking about what we want, so now we express what we need and we find a way to bring it back.  We are each other's biggest cheerleaders and we would love to be yours too!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568

    46. Everyone needs a Journey Woman (or two)

A community supported journey of living passionately. For the passionate creator ready to dust off her passions from the top shelf and  REVIVE the energy back into herself. The Soul Presence Journey:www.soulpresence.com.auPodcast Episode 46. Biz Journey WomanHow many times has this happened to you in your life? You get really excited about bringing a passion back into your life, like lets say running, or swimming, or painting and within the first couple of weeks you are already struggling to find time for it.Mel explained it well in this week’s episode when she started talking about missing her beach walks. (you can also hear my story about the Cello)When it was summer and she had less in her work schedule she would squeeze in the best beach walks in the morning with her dog after school drop off.Lately it’s felt a bit like a distant memory.  She can’t take her dog as the dogs coat stays too wet throughout the day and her work schedule, although filled with awesome things, has started to fill in the gaps.I asked her, ‘If you had someone to walk with, do you think you would still be going for walks on the beach?’  She answered, ‘Definitely’.Because for most of us, having someone keep us accountable helps us keep our things in place.A few years back I worked this out about myself, that to keep things consistent in my calendar I had to set up some outside accountability.  Not always and not for everything, but it definitely helped keep the flow for me.I love singing, so I booked in fortnightly singing lessons.  I wanted to get fit, so I booked into a group training session.  I am so keen to catch up with my friends so I started a Women’s circle and Friday Friends Lunch. It works.Mel and I know how powerful it is to have someone by your side to get you moving and to keep you moving towards your dreams. We are so absolutely grateful for each other in our business, because we continue to support each other to make things happen.  Checking in, Cheerleading, Remembering our why, Gentle reminders for tasks, Sounding Board and so much more.We call this role the Journey Woman.  And if you are finding it difficult to invite your passion back into your life or your business has been put to the side for a moment, we would love to help you to REVIVE that space with you.AND I am pleased to report that before this episode went to air, Mel did get herself to the beach for a walk.  Woooohooooooo!Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,Love Nat and MelHead over to our Grab Your Keys and Go community for some juicy conversations around the topics of our podcastshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1921054834941568
