EP 76- Sometimes we need to go back, in order to move forward

Sometimes we need to go back in order to move forward.” — Matthew McConaugheyThis quote, taken from his book Greenlights, really hit home for me lately. I’ve been in a bit of a funk and feeling somewhat lost. I found myself going back to certain podcasts where I knew I was in a good flow state. I listened closely and intentionally to what I was doing during that period.I was eating well, sleeping properly, making music, socialising, expressing myself, and moving with purpose. That “time capsule” allowed me to revisit the habits and mindset. You don’t need podcasts to do this either. The same thing can be achieved by keeping a journal much like McConaughey did. Shout out Matthew one time to, buzzing to chat to soon sir !! Hope you enjoy guys !Marty waves

The cost of being wrong is less than the cost of doing nothing. I’ve applied this mindset to how I’ve pursued my dreams. That’s why I chose to act maybe even starting a podcast rather than stay stuck in hesitation.Hope you enjoy guys, love ye lots, marty waves :)

Then, somewhere along the way, I just decided I might as well go the whole way and complete the half. I finished in 1 hour and 54 minutes, which isn’t quite what I was aiming for, but it still feels like a solid effort, especially with the Latvia marathon coming up in six weeks, which I’m really excited about. Overall, it was such an enjoyable run I made some great memories, my legs felt strong, my breathing was steady, and my energy levels were right where they needed to be.
