Sip: Breadcrumbing, Boundaries and Bravery with Amanda Keefe

In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with a former photography client turned friend, Amanda Morgan Keefe. What began as a conversation focused on “breadcrumbing” and “boundaries” quickly unfolded into something much deeper.Amanda is a survivor of Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a woman currently navigating divorce, and a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in CBT, EMDR, and sex therapy. Together, we dive into her cancer journey, the realities of starting over, what breadcrumbing actually looks like, how to set and honor boundaries, and what it truly means to cultivate a healthy relationship—not just with others, but first, with yourself. This episode is a grounding, heartfelt reminder that even through life’s highest highs and lowest lows, you can always find your way back to your true self and rise stronger than before.Follow Amanda on Instagram @amandamorgankeefe, and me @justangmarie.And as always, sip along on your favorite beverage, or... with my (half) decent autumn marg: tequila, triple sec, apple cider (or juice), maple syrup, lime juice, and a brown sugar cinnamon rim.Cheers, and happy holidays!

Spill: Kicking the Fall & Winter Blues (Throwback)

Today’s spill is a throwback to an episode that I recorded around this time last year for my old podcast, Say Yes To You. In this episode, you’ll hear the tips, tricks, and self-care habits that I was leaning on to help me fight the fall and winter blues. From refreshing my space, to getting out of my routine, leaning on my therapist and friends, and creating little moments of comfort - all around the time when the days got darker and colder. Pour yourself a warm cup or a cozy cocktail and listen in for the simple things that can help to keep you going when the temps drop and your mood drops with them. Welcome to Sips & Spills

Welcome to the very first episode of Sips & Spills! I’m so excited to finally share what this new chapter is all about, and how it all started with a literal (and emotional) spill. In this short but sweet intro episode, I’m opening up about why I stepped away from my old podcast Say Yes to You, what pulled me back to the mic, and how a night of espresso martinis and a little wake-up call sparked this rebrand. It’s honest, a little messy... but a great fresh start nonetheless.Going forward, my solo episodes will be a “spill” — just me, my mic, and some real talk about the messy, beautiful, in-between moments of life.My guest episodes will be a “sip” — conversations over coffee or cocktails with friends, creatives, and people with stories worth sharing. We’ll also be playing a little truth or drink game — where my guests can either spill the tea when I ask a tough question, or take a sip of whatever they’re drinking.New episodes will drop every Friday! So pour yourself something good, press play, and start your weekend off right.Follow me on Instagram @justangmarie to stay in the loop for new episodes and all the behind-the-scenes moments. And if you want to dive deeper into one of the books that inspired this new chapter, check out Zen and the Art of Happiness by Chris Prentiss.

Sip: Fitness Language and Body Confidence with Syd Rabin & Marina Gearhart

This week on Sips & Spills, we’re revisiting a conversation I recorded back in 2020 with Syd Rabin (formerly Sydni Arnett), now a Barry’s Philly Principal Instructor, and Marina Gearhart, now an Eating Disorder and Trauma Therapist (LMHC, R-DMT) with @flourishtherapycenter.Back when we recorded, Syd was a Philadelphia fitness trainer and Marina was a mental health counseling grad student. Both were passionate about moving for wellness, strength, mindfulness, and body confidence — and that passion has clearly carried into their incredible work today! We dive deep into the power of language in fitness spaces, how certain phrases can unintentionally reinforce body shame, and how trainers can shift their words to encourage confidence, self-acceptance, and strength. We also talk about:What the fitness scene looked like during quarantine (hello, 2020 energy)How social media impacts body image and mental healthHow clients can advocate for themselves when fitness spaces don’t feel body-positiveIt’s one of those conversations that reminds you how much words matter — especially when it comes to movement, self-image, and healing.Follow Syd @sydniarnett and Marina @marinagearharttherapy to keep up with the incredible work they’re doing now. Spill: Food Freedom & Holiday Chaos

Flashback to the 2024 holiday season. With the holidays always comes all of the excitement, traditions, and… let’s be real, a little food anxiety. Or anxiety in general, on all fronts. In this week’s Sips & Spills, I’m getting honest about my own relationship with food, movement, and guilt — especially around this time of year. From asking for a “healthy” Easter basket (yep, that happened) to unlearning old food rules, I’m sharing how I’ve been shifting toward more intuitive eating and finding the joy in unforced movement. We’ll chat about how to take the pressure off your plate, and why exercise should be about feeling good, and not punishing yourself for what you ate. Pour yourself something cozy (no guilt required), and let’s sip, spill, and find a little more peace around food this holiday season.Follow me on Instagram @justangmarie for more Sips & Spills updates and behind-the-scenes moments!
