    80. Being Sober Curious Without Realizing You Are Sober Curious

In this episode, hosts Kathryn and Ewa sit down and each share their personal story with being sober curious — before they even knew that’s what it was. They talk about the in-between phase where something feels “off” with drinking, but the word sober doesn’t feel right either. If you’ve ever felt weird about labeling yourself, unsure if you need to quit or just want to feel more in control, this conversation will hit. They also dive into why you don’t need a label to start changing your relationship with alcohol, how everyone’s path looks different (whether that’s cutting back, trying to be a “normal drinker,” or going fully alcohol-free), and why finding a mentor and community that actually honors where you’re at is everything. Instead of forcing a label, they talk about focusing on what you’re missing out on when you do drink, gathering real evidence from your own life, and building your sober curious phase like a court case.  ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn sits down with health and life coach Erin Treloar, host of the Well Within Podcast, to talk about her sobriety journey and how changing her relationship with alcohol transformed the way she approaches her health, mindset, and life. 77. Client Spotlight Series: Maria

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa sit down with SoberFitGirl client Maria, who shares her powerful story of reaching over a year of sobriety and completely transforming her life. Maria didn’t have a dramatic rock bottom. From the outside, everything looked fine. She loved fitness, stayed active, and kept up with life — but behind the scenes, alcohol was quietly taking up more space than she wanted to admit. She found herself hiding bottles from her husband and living with the mental weight that so many women experience when drinking no longer aligns with who they want to be. In this conversation, Maria opens up about the moment she decided something needed to change. Since removing alcohol, Maria has lost 30 pounds, rediscovered her love for fitness, and built a lifestyle rooted in consistency, honesty, and self-respect. This episode is an important reminder that you don’t have to hit rock bottom to choose a better life. Sometimes the biggest turning point is simply deciding you deserve more peace, more clarity, and more alignment with the person you want to become. If you’ve ever felt like alcohol was quietly holding you back — even if everything looked “fine” on the outside — Maria’s story will resonate deeply. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 76. Cost of "Just a Drink. Just a Weekend."

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa break down the real cost of “just a drink” and "just a weekend" why alcohol takes far more than your Friday night. They talk about the mental energy spent planning, negotiating, justifying, and recovering, and how drinking quietly colonizes your entire week — even on the days you’re not drinking. From the party girl losing weekends to blackouts to the wine-o’clock girl living in a nightly fog, they unpack how both patterns steal your time, your focus, and your self-trust. They also dive into the financial math most women never calculate, the hours lost to hangovers and shame spirals, and why you can’t out-train or out-discipline alcohol when it comes to your fitness and goals. This episode isn’t about shame — it’s about honesty. If you’ve ever felt stuck, behind, or like you just need more discipline, this conversation will challenge that narrative and show you what sobriety actually gives back: your time, your energy, and the ability to finally build the life you say you want. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa sit down with Bri — known as @morefunwithoutit .  Bri shares her journey, including a period of long-term sobriety, returning to drinking, and realizing that white-knuckling it alone wasn’t sustainable. She opens up about what it felt like to go back, what she learned from that experience, and how she recognized that real, lasting sobriety requires support and community — not just willpower. This episode is a reminder that sobriety isn’t linear, and it isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness, support, and choosing yourself.  If you’re sober-curious, newly sober, or coming back after trying to moderate, Bri’s story will make you feel less alone and more hopeful about what’s possible when you stop doing it alone and start building a life that truly supports you. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 74. SoberFitGalentine Series: Gifts of Sobriety

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa talk about the true gifts of sobriety — the ones no one really explains when you first start questioning alcohol. They dive into how sobriety isn’t just about giving something up… it’s about getting everything back: your peace, your confidence, your mornings, your health, your relationships, and your ability to trust yourself again. Kathryn and Ewa share how removing alcohol creates clarity, emotional stability, and a quieter mind. How it unlocks consistency in your fitness and nutrition, helps you stop living in cycles of shame and starting over, and allows you to build a life you don’t need to escape from. This episode is a reminder that sobriety isn’t restrictive — it’s expansive. It’s self-love. It’s freedom. And it’s the foundation for becoming the strongest, most grounded version of yourself. Whether you’re sober-curious, newly sober, or years into your journey, this conversation will leave you feeling hopeful about what’s possible when you choose yourself — one day at a time. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 73. SoberFitGalentine Series: Sober Dating vs Drunk Dating

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa dive into the difference between drunk dating and sober dating — and why dating without alcohol brings more clarity, confidence, and self-respect than most women expect. They talk about how alcohol can create false chemistry, lower your standards, blur red flags, and keep you stuck in cycles of performing, people-pleasing, or chasing validation. In contrast, sober dating is about showing up fully present, getting to know someone for who they really are, and building connection without numbing or pretending. Kathryn and Ewa share how sobriety raises your baseline in relationships — helping you choose healthier partners, set stronger boundaries, and stop settling for inconsistency or chaos. They explore what it means to be interested instead of trying to be interesting, how to date from self-trust instead of insecurity, and why real confidence comes from being able to show up as yourself. If you’ve ever felt like you needed a drink to date, flirt, or feel comfortable in your skin, this episode will remind you that sober dating isn’t harder — it’s clearer. And clarity is where real love begins. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 72. SoberFitGalentine Series: Confidence

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa talk about the difference between “drunk confidence” and real confidence — and why doing things scared and sober is what actually builds true confidence. They explore how alcohol can make things feel easier in the moment — talking to people, dating, being social, putting yourself out there — but often leaves you the next day with anxiety, embarrassment, and that familiar “why did I say or do that?” feeling. Kathryn and Ewa break down how showing up sober, even when you’re nervous or uncomfortable, creates a completely different result. You wake up the next day feeling proud of yourself. You build self-esteem. You build the belief of “I can do this.” And that belief is what turns into real confidence — the kind that carries over into your workouts, your work, your relationships, and the way you see yourself. This episode is about choosing courage without numbing, learning to sit in discomfort, and realizing that every sober action you take strengthens your self-respect and your inner “I’ve got this” voice.  ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 71. Client Spotlight Series: Corianne

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, we’re sitting down with one of our very own SoberFitGirl clients, Corianne, to share her powerful and inspiring story. Corianne joined the SoberFitGirl program eight months into her sobriety after facing serious health issues, including close to liver failure, that forced her to take a hard look at her life and her relationship with alcohol. What began as a necessary decision to get healthy quickly became a complete transformation of her mindset, routines, confidence, and the way she shows up for herself and her loved ones Now, as she approaches two years sober this March, Corianne reflects on how structure, community, and daily support through SoberFitGirl helped her not just stay sober, but truly rebuild her life from the inside out. This episode is about resilience, choosing yourself, and what’s possible when you commit to healing - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Corianne’s story is a reminder that sobriety isn’t just about giving something up… it’s about getting your life back. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 70. Structure Over Motivation

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, we’re diving into why staying alcohol-free isn’t about having more motivation — it’s about having more structure. Motivation comes and goes. Some days you feel strong and clear, and other days you’re tired, emotional, or just over it. That’s when routine and rhythm matter most. We talk about how simple structure in your days, nights, and weekends can make not drinking feel calmer and more doable, instead of something you have to constantly think about or fight with. We get into the moments that are usually the hardest — evenings when you’re winding down, weekends when you want to “reward” yourself, and social plans where alcohol used to be the default. And we share how planning ahead, having small rituals, and creating predictability can lower anxiety and take the pressure off relying on willpower. This episode is for anyone who’s realizing that white-knuckling isn’t the goal. The goal is building a life that actually supports you — where you feel steady, grounded, and taken care of, not just “being good” or pushing through. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 69. From Guilt to Grace

On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, we’re talking about the shame so many of us carry around our past drinking, our choices, and the versions of ourselves we’re trying to leave behind. We dive into why healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself, but about slowing down and meeting what comes up with honesty and compassion. We talk about how shame grows in isolation, and how powerful it is to hear “me too” and realize you were never broken — you were coping the best way you knew how at the time. We reflect on looking back at our past selves through a softer lens, recognizing that we were doing the best we could with the tools we had. And we share how shame begins to loosen its grip when you start taking care of yourself in small, consistent ways — rebuilding trust through action, routine, and choosing yourself one day at a time. This episode is for anyone who still feels heavy about their past, who struggles with guilt or self-judgment, or who is learning how to say, “I’m sorry” to themselves with love instead of punishment. Sobriety isn’t about erasing who you were — it’s about making peace with her and finally letting yourself move forward. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? On this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa dive into Dry January—sharing their own experiences from getting sober and the lessons they wish they had known sooner. They break down the often-overlooked risks of doing alcohol challenges without support, including white-knuckling, emotional overwhelm, rebound drinking, and finishing the month without any real clarity or change. Kathryn and Ewa talk honestly about why simply removing alcohol isn’t enough, and how lack of community, reflection, and structure can make these challenges feel harder—and lonelier—than they need to be. This conversation is for anyone who’s tried Dry January before, is currently in it, or is sober-curious and wondering why alcohol challenges can feel so intense. The goal isn’t perfection or willpower—it’s awareness, support, and building a foundation that actually lasts beyond January. In this episode, Ewa is joined by Abby Calabrese of @alcoholfreeabby and host of The Alcohol-Free Rebellion podcast for a deeply honest conversation about what it really looks like to live alcohol free in a world where drinking is often the norm. Abby opens up about how her relationship with alcohol changed over time—from casual and social, to questioning its role in her life—and the pivotal moments that led her to step away from it altogether. We explore the emotional, mental, and lifestyle shifts that came with her decision, including navigating social situations, identity changes, and the internal work of listening to your intuition. Abby shares the challenges she faced along the way, but also the unexpected freedom, clarity, and self-trust she gained by choosing a life without alcohol. 65. Ewa's Story

This week on The SoberFitGirl Podcast, head coach and co-host Ewa sits down to share the story she’s never told in full: how she walked away from the party version of herself, stopped living for everyone else, and finally learned to choose herself. Ewa opens up about the years she spent wrapped in her party identity—the girl who always showed up, always went harder, always said yes. Behind it all was a deep pattern of people-pleasing: keeping the peace, keeping the fun going, keeping up an image that exhausted her and was getting her closer and closer to rock bottom. Sobriety forced her to slow down and face what she’d been avoiding. She talks about the uncomfortable but liberating process of stepping back from old relationships, rewriting her boundaries, and sitting with the silence that used to scare her. She shares what it was like to look at past relationships through sober eyes and finally understand the “why” behind so many of her choices. And then she brings us into her present — a place where she feels grounded, proud, and connected to herself in a way she never imagined.Today, Ewa stands in a version of her life she once couldn’t imagine—one built on self-respect, boundaries, and a calm confidence that comes from sobriety. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 64. Kathryn's Story

In this episode of The SoberFitGirl Podcast, host and SoberFitGirl founder Kathryn gets real about her story. She kicks things off by looking back at the turning points and hidden struggles that shaped her life long before she decided to get sober. Kathryn chats about what those years actually felt like—the constant hustle, the exhaustion she kept brushing off, and the pressure to appear fine even when things felt messy underneath. She opens up about losing her father, a loss that shook the foundation of her life and amplified everything she had been avoiding. Kathryn shares how his passing forced her to confront the grief she’d been numbing, the emotions she didn’t feel equipped to face, and the ways that pain quietly influenced her relationship with alcohol. She talks about the moments that made her realize something needed to change and how finally choosing to step away from alcohol became the start of a completely different chapter. Sobriety, for her, wasn’t just about removing something—it became the doorway to healing, processing her loss, and beginning to rebuild herself with honesty and compassion. Kathryn then shares how sobriety transformed her life from the inside out—helping her rebuild confidence, find clarity, reconnect with her body, and show up more fully in every part of her life. She also opens up about how her journey inspired the creation of the SoberFitGirl community, a space built for support, real conversations, and celebrating every win, big or small. If you’re sober-curious, questioning your relationship with alcohol, or just in need of a little inspiration, this episode is a reminder that change doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful—and that life can get a whole lot better than you imagined. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 63. Sober Curious vs. Fully Sober: What’s the Difference?

In this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa unpack one of the most common conversations in the sober space — the difference between being sober curious and being fully sober, and how to track your progress without falling into the shame spiral of perfectionism. They talk about how comparison can sneak in — whether you’re on day 3 or day 300 — and why sobriety isn’t a competition or a straight line. You’ll hear real talk about the purpose behind day counting, how to use it as motivation (not punishment), and what to do if you drink or “reset” without getting stuck in guilt. This episode is a reminder that every single day of awareness counts. Whether you’re just starting to question your drinking, exploring moderation, or fully alcohol-free, you’re showing up for yourself — and that matters.  In this episode: Sober curious vs. fully sober — what’s the real difference? How to use day counting as a tool, not a weapon The mindset shift that removes guilt from “starting over” Practical ways to track your goals and celebrate progress Sobriety isn’t about perfection — it’s about honesty, growth, and learning to trust yourself again. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 61. Letting Go of Shame: Why You Should Thank Your Drunk Self

In this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa explore one of the hardest parts of sobriety — letting go of the guilt and shame from the past. We all have a version of ourselves we cringe thinking about: the drunk nights, the decisions we regret, the people we chased, the moments we abandoned ourselves. But instead of living in shame, what if we chose gratitude? What if the version of you who drank, numbed, binged, or checked out… was actually the one who kept you alive long enough to become the version you are now? In this episode, we talk about: How shame keeps you stuck in the past Rewriting your story without embarrassment Being grateful for the coping mechanisms that got you here Finally releasing the guilt so you can move forward You don’t heal by hating who you used to be. You heal by thanking her. Because she was doing the best she could with what she had. She survived - so YOU could grow. Tune in to learn how to forgive yourself, let go, and move into your sober era with compassion, softness, and gratitude. ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious? 60. How to Be Unapologetically Happy in Sobriety & Stop People Pleasing

In this episode of the SoberFitGirl Podcast, Kathryn and Ewa break down what it really means to choose yourself in sobriety — even when it feels uncomfortable, selfish, or unfamiliar. For so many of us, drinking was tied to people pleasing: saying yes when we wanted to say no shrinking ourselves to keep the peace drinking to be more “fun,” more “easygoing,” more likable Sobriety forces you to face the truth: You don’t have a drinking problem — you have a self-abandonment problem. Kathryn and Ewa share real stories about: finally saying no without over-explaining creating boundaries without apologizing choosing joy without needing anyone’s permission letting go of friendships that only existed around alcohol This episode is your permission slip to take up space, protect your peace, and build a life that makes you genuinely happy — not just liked. 59. Your Relationship With Food & Alcohol

In this episode, Kathryn and Ewa get real about the connection between food and alcohol — the habits, the emotional triggers, and the way both can show up when we’re stressed, lonely, overwhelmed, or trying to feel something. They talk about how drinking and eating can become coping mechanisms, the “all-or-nothing” mindset, and that moment when alcohol lowers your inhibitions and suddenly you're elbows-deep in Uber Eats, snacks, or binge eating. They share their own stories — from late-night emotional eating after drinking to waking up with anxiety, shame, and cravings that weren’t even about hunger. Together, they break down: How alcohol affects hunger, cravings, and decision-making Why binge drinking and binge eating often show up together Using food for comfort when you’re trying not to drink The difference between nourishing your body vs. punishing your body How sobriety heals your relationship with food naturally You’ll learn how to reconnect to your body, build trust with yourself, and create routines that support feeling good — without restricting or obsessing. 58. Define Your Why

In this episode, Kathryn and Ewa dive into one of the most powerful parts of getting and staying sober — defining your why. It’s easy to say you want to stop drinking, but lasting change happens when you get brutally honest about what’s at stake — and what your life could look like in five years if you don’t make a change. They share their own personal “whys” and how fear, rock-bottom moments, and brutal honesty became the wake-up calls that got them sober. Together, they unpack the difference between surface goals (“I don’t want hangovers”) and the deeper truth underneath (“I want peace, confidence, and self-respect”).  Tune in to hear: How fear can become the fuel for transformation Why your “why” matters more than motivation or willpower What happens if you don’t make a change How Kathryn and Ewa found their own whys — and how you can find yours too ⬇️SOBERFITGIRL LINKS⬇️ 📞 Sober Curious?
