#108 - Rethinking The Entire Training Model

I try to tackle a big topic in this episode to explain how my approach to training has changed over the years. I used to follow programs with rigid sets and reps. Now I don't. I value ability and skill more than muscle as a window dressing. The hard part of answering this question is that it's so context specific to your goals. But most of the goals we claim are baked into a reference point of bodybuilding and what's popular on social media. I suggest a few alternatives.-If you like this, join my free challenge: https://skool.com/wrs/about-Also, please preorder my book "Born To Sprint". #105 - Something New

I love doing podcasts but I've realized that I just like to talk as a way to verbally process. So rather than try to make another interview show and play the podcast game, I'm just going to talk to you.It will take about 10 of these before you start to understand the texture of my mind, but that's fine. And even if you don't and this isn't for you, that's fine too.But I enjoyed this and learned something new. So that's enough for me to keep doing it. If you have questions about anything I mentioned, comment and I'll go into more detail about it.Otherwise, if you want to work with me, start with my free sprint challenge here: https://skool.com/wrs/about

#102 - Sugar Fasting, Bacterial Real Estate, and Limiting Protein - Grahamble #1

Welcome to the first Grahamble. Which ironically was how the podcast started. I'll be doing more of these.I've been thinking alot about nutrition recently and making some changes to how I eat. Normally I stay away from the topic because it's so dogmatic. But I wanted to get this out.I've been doing a fruit based diet by day and animal based diet at night. Which is basically one big meal at night with fruit or smaller carb meals throughout the day. More details in the podcast. I'm down about 7-8 pounds over the last few weeks and have felt lighter all around in my training.TO BE CLEAR - This is all my rough interpretation of what I've learned. I'm sure it's not exactly factually correct. And I probably mispronounced Bacteroids the whole time. But feel free to ignore it. If you haven't heard of Brady before, you're in for a treat. This guy is a powerhouse. Mentally, emotionally, and physically. I met him when he came out to do the Power Project Podcast and started following him after. Unfortunately/fortunately he fell and busted his wrist a few weeks later. This was right after I'd separated my shoulder AC joint. I was really impressed with the way he handled his rehab and it matched my thoughts exactly.
