TACO Tuesday and The Code of Trust with Robin Dreeke

It’s TACO Tuesday….Take Action Crush Obstacles! Today’s guest was a USMC leader, international spy catcher with the FBI and a Behavioral Analysis Expert. The man, the myth, the legend, Robin Dreeke! The Military Leader: Although Robin always aspired to become a great leader, he realized from his time at the United States Naval Academy and in the United States Marine Corps that leadership was much more than just telling people what to do: a great leader uses interpersonal skills to inspire action, rather than demand the compliance of others.  The Spy Catcher: Upon entering service as an FBI Special Agent in 1997, Robin began his journey as a counterintelligence specialist and behaviorist in the agency's efforts to thwart the efforts of our country's greatest adversaries. Serving in New York City, Norfolk VA, FBI Headquarters, Quantico VA, and Fredericksburg VA, Robin received advanced training and experience in the area of social psychology and the practical application of the science behind relationship development and trust, ultimately leading the FBI's elite Behavioral Analysis Program.  Today, the Behavioral Analysis Expert: Robin has built his highly effective tools for all aspects and stages of interpersonal communication and relationship development and combined them into a one-of-a-kind formula for success with people – called The People Formula.  Robin is a recognized expert, author, and gifted lecturer in the art of interpersonal communication, relationship building and Trust. These skills are used every day in leadership, sales, human resources, and all aspects of life, both business and personal. And, today he is going to give us look behind the curtain and share some great advice. Buckle up as we dive into the Code of Trust and why you can’t be successful without it. When The Heart Calls, Don't Ignore It with Jazzmyn Lauff

Wednesday Wisdom Edition If success is measured by accomplishments, material possessions, and stable relationships then, as a successful business woman, mother and partner, today’s guest should have been happy and fulfilled. But like many a shiny apple, you need to cut it open to see the worms and rot inside.  Despite the outer trappings of success she couldn’t shake the growing angst and depression that accompanied the weight of imposter syndrome. For far too long Ishe had ignored the signs to course correct - lacking the courage to change - until the death of her son, on her birthday and Thanksgiving Day to boot, shook the very foundation of her existence.  But it was too much to fast, so she doubled-down the only way she knew how - focusing on her career and accomplishments. When the call to change came again, a decade later it was unmistakable and undeniable. Answering the call felt like a reckoning with her soul - a do or die moment.  So she left a successful career, ended misaligned relationships, and gave away most of her belongings to prioritize her health and rediscover who she was without noise, performance, or external expectations. Jazzmyn Lauff is now a podcast host, guest, and transformational mentor in service to those who are called to up-level their story and rewrite their identity from the inside out - realigning, reclaiming, and redesigning their most authentic lives. Today we tackle some tough questions and get some authentic answers: How do you change when you don’t know how or where to go? What are the signs Jazzmyn ignored early on? What was that 2nd call that finally got your attention? For someone sensing that quiet inner summons but afraid to act, what would you say about the relationship between courage and consciousness? Go here to learn more and to contact Jazzmyn: https://www.whentheheartcalls.com/    Be sure to share this episode with someone you know who needs to hear it. Grow In The Dark with Sean Hayden

Special Edition of a Wednesday Wisdom! Sean Hayden's life reads like a story that couldn't have been written without God.  He started his career as an engineer at Boeing, working on power systems for rockets, satellites, and lasers — including NASA's Space Launch System. But his path took a hard turn when he felt called to leave engineering behind, move his family across the country, and step into entrepreneurship with nothing but faith and a willingness to follow God's leading.  That leap led him through some of the hardest seasons of his life — near-death experiences including a tangled parachute and motorcycle crashes, the uncertainty of uprooting his family from New Mexico to California and eventually settling in Kentucky, building a digital marketing agency from the ground up, and walking through his son's miraculous healing.  Along the way Sean has worn a lot of hats — aerospace engineer, digital marketer, agency owner, options and futures trader. He'll be the first to tell you he's made serious money in the markets and lost serious money in the markets, and that every one of those experiences taught him something about faith, risk, and trusting God when the outcome isn't guaranteed.  Today Sean lives with his wife Brooke, their five kids, a dog, a cat, and 10 chickens — and is currently building his family's dream home from the ground up on a 150-acre property called Hayden Haven, running an excavator himself to make it happen. Through every twist, God was there. Today we chat about Sean’s journey – the dark times and the bright times. From designing rockets to a spiritual revival – and why Sean doesn’t get worked up when things seem to all be going wrong. Sean’s story of learning how to trust God before a breakthrough comes is both inspiring and doable in our own lives. Enough With The Secrets, Mama! with Lin Green

Today’s guest is Lin Green — an award-winning community advocate, columnist, author, speaker, and business and nonprofit consultant.  Lin didn’t start out with a polished plan — she started out with a strong willed Matriarch of a Mother. And oh boy, did she give Lin a ton of material. Her memoir, Enough with the Secrets, Mama!, is about the messy, hilarious, heartbreaking, and ultimately redemptive journey of trying to survive a complicated mother-daughter relationship while breaking generational patterns most of us would rather ignore. Part immigrant family story, part self-help disguised as a memoir, and part “please tell me I’m not the only one,” the book takes readers from cultural shifts and childhood chaos to the moment when you decide you’re done waiting for permission — and give yourself grace instead.  Lin helps individuals, organizations, and communities turn adversity into growth by breaking generational cycles, strengthening mindset, and leading with faith, intention, and values-driven strategy. Her work bridges personal healing with sustainable impact, encouraging people to live, lead, and build with purpose. Welcome Lin! It's Always Too Soon To Quit! with Jay Setchell

The Strength Within You: It’s Always to Soon to Quit! Multiple deaths & near death experiences. 73 Surgeries. Paralysis. Faith / Hope / Prayer. Everyone carries a strength inside them, often without even knowing it’s there. The key is learning to tap into that strength when life demands it. Sometimes it comes from lessons we’ve picked up along the way. Other times, it shows up in the moment, surprising even us. Jay has often asked himself: "Where does my inner strength come from?" The truth is, it’s not from just one place. He credits his upbringing shaping him: parents, grandparents, neighbors, teachers, faith, and friends all left their mark. The discipline and structure of the Marine Corps drilled into him a commitment to every cause he took on. Years of pain, frustration, and setbacks gave him a relentless determination to get back up and keep going. His successes fueled his drive, and even his failures gave him fire to keep pushing forward. What Jay learned is simple but powerful: "I can’t expect my future to be handed to me by someone else. It’s my responsibility." Listen to Jay's inspiring story of from death and near death experiences to a life of meaning and purpose. Contact Jay here: [email protected]

Free Speech, Retaliation, and the Cost of Integrity: The Story of Fire Chief Erik Holt

Free Speech, Retaliation, and the Cost of Integrity: The Story of Fire Chief Erik Holt  This story began in April 2022, Erik Holt left federal service at Ft. Carson, CO, after 18 years to raise his daughters and accepted the Fire Chief position at a small rural department in Colorado. Within a year, with the support of an outstanding board and dedicated personnel, he and his staff transformed the fire department from 5 to over 60 trained, qualified, and dedicated personnel.  Then came the May 2023 election. For the first time, all five board seats were up for election. Chief Holt received complaints from citizens regarding irregularities at the polls. He personally sat down and reviewed 48 hours of surveillance footage and discovered clear evidence of coordinated election misconduct. I Chief Holt asked himself the four questions we always talk about on the WSL Podcast: what is the right thing to do, when to do it, how to doit and what are the reasons for doing it? He followed his legal and moral obligation and reported the findings to the District Attorney’s office. That decision changed everything. When free speech, retaliation, and corruption tried to take test his integrity, Chief Holt stood his ground and suffered great consequences.  Hear his full story on today’s episode of the WSL Podcast. And the story isn’t even over, yet!

Quit Using "Time" As Your Crutch or Excuse

When "time" becomes your crutch or excuse to why you aren't living the life you want, it's time to have a talk with yourself. Today’s guest is Dr. Amy Loden Tiffany — a physician entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, author, and mom of five who’s redefining what success looks like, especially for women in high stress careers. After eight years in academic and corporate medicine, Dr. Tiffany stepped away from traditional practice to build something new — a concierge medical and wellness company that delivers a true “Four Seasons” experience for women’s health. Along the way, she has delivered a TEDx talk (“Pregnancy Is More Than the Birth of a Child”), written a book (The Postpartum Pivot), and been recognized as a top-five finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2025 BizX Awards.  But the real story is the why behind it all — navigating tough health threats while raising a family and running a business taught her that success isn’t about doing more, it’s about aligning your priorities with purpose. Now, she helps ambitious women — especially fellow founders, professionals, and CEO moms — reclaim their health, energy, and confidence while juggling everything they’re called to lead. And it isn’t just women that can learn from this inspiring story.  The fundamental principle Dr. Tiffany lives by applies to everyone – “Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” When your “time” becomes a crutch or an excuse you know it is time to take a deeper look at your values and your actions. Join us and hear Dr. Tiffany’s inspiring journey to transformation of her time, talent and energy. #timemanagement #actionspseaklouderthanwords #faith #leadershipdevelopment

From Behind the Badge To Behind Bars: The Story of Jack Straw

From the darker side of the law to the ridiculous side, Jack Straw gives us a real look at life -from life behind the badge to life behind the bars of prison, and life on the outside. As a law enforcement officer in the Midwest, Jack Straw rose the ranks rapidly becoming a captain at 26. He was a patrol officer, investigator and later specialized in interrogations and child abuse cases.  He left law enforcement and started a business, and that's where he got sideways with the feds. He stole money and ended up with a 15 year prison sentence and was shipped to La Tuna FCI on the border with Texas and Mexico.  While there, he hung out with gangbangers, cartel members, bank robbers and George Jung, the man Johnny Depp played in the movie "Blow." He was eventually transferred to other facilities that had much lower security protocols and  later became friends with a totally different crowd; politicians, incarcerated cops, NFL players and doctors. Yep, Club Fed.  During this time he wrote three books, became a successful "jailhouse lawyer" and observed a world that works unlike anyone really thinks it does. He is now a partner in Prison Break Brewery and has a new album coming out. Get a sample of all this on their YouTube channel "Fed Joints to Beer Joints". In this episode of The Warrior Servant Leader Podcast, Jack shares these stories and more. Join us, leave your comments and share with someone who needs to hear this message.

There’s a lot to take away here: the importance of standing firm in your values, leading with courage when the stakes are highest, and remembering that trust—whether in a team or with the public—can only be built with consistency and integrity. Peter’s career is proof that leadership is less about the title you hold, and more about the weight of the decisions you’re willing to make. If you found value in today’s episode, share it with a friend, fellow leader, or teammate who needs encouragement. And if you haven’t already, hit subscribe so you don’t miss the next conversation with Pete and another legend of the ATF, Jay Dobyns - the guy who took down the Hells Angels. Standing In The Gap

NEW EPISODE: Standing in the Gap — Faith, Hope, and Love Versus Evil 🎙️ Most people think the root of evil is money. But Scripture says otherwise — it’s the love of money, the disordered desire that corrupts the soul. Dig deeper, and you find the real culprits: ego, greed, and hate. They destroy families, poison communities, and erode nations. The antidote? Not politics. Not policy. But the timeless virtues of faith, hope, and love — lived out daily through Warriors, Servants, and Leaders who stand firm when the world bends. This one goes deep — scripture, philosophy, and hard-earned experience from the front lines of leadership and life. Listen now and ask yourself: When the world needs someone to stand in the gap… will it be you? #WarriorServantLeader #FaithHopeLove #Leadership #Virtue #Podcast #MoralCourage #PurposeDrivenLife #StandInTheGap #ChristianLeadership #ServantLeadership

Leadership Under Fire: Lessons from Black Hawk Down, with Matt Eversmann

In the heart of Mogadishu, Somalia, October 1993, a group of young U.S. Rangers and Delta Force operators found themselves in one of the fiercest battles since Vietnam. That story became Black Hawk Down. But behind the movie and the headlines are the real warriors who lived it. One of them is Matt Eversmann—and I had the privilege of sitting down with him for this week’s Warrior Servant Leader Podcast. Matt’s story is not just about war. It’s about what it means to lead when the odds are against you, to shoulder responsibility for others, and to carry the unseen weight long after the battle ends. We also dive into his journey as a bestselling author with James Patterson, and how he continues to serve by telling the stories of warriors with authenticity and heart. This is an episode you won’t want to miss—because the lessons of Mogadishu aren’t just for the battlefield. They’re for anyone who wants to lead with courage, humility, and faith.

Dropping an F'word -x3! Buckle Up!

Mercy, Courage, and Kindness — Weapons of the Warrior Servant Leader’s Heart The three F’ words: Forgiveness. Forget. Forward. – Actions of the Warrior, Servant, Leader. In a world drowning in hate and violence, how do we rise as true Warriors Servants Leaders? In this episode, Pat Welsh pulls no punches — reminds us of three forgotten virtues that can change the battlefield of everyday life: ·       Mercy — strength under control ·       Courage — doing what’s right when it hurts ·       Kindness — the quiet form of revolution He also drops three F’ bombs. ·      Forgiveness – Genuinely forgiving those who have harmed you, as Christ did on the Cross ·      Forget – Absolutely NOT! We can forgive without forgetting the injury. Even after Christ rose from the dead, He still had and showed his wounds. The Rosary includes remembering and meditating on the Sorrowful Mysteries – including the scourging and Crucifixion of Christ. But we don’t complain, criticize or condemn those who did it. We do remember and move forward. ·      Forward – In the aftermath of the injury and harm, forgiving but not forgetting, we must move forward with the Warrior, Servant, Leader Mindset.  We will not become what we fight. Moving forward in Faith, Hope and Love. This is not soft leadership. This is gritty, fire-tested character — the kind that rewrites culture from the inside out. Real warriors. Real servants. Real leaders —show mercy, serve with courage, and fight onward with kindness. They forgive, do not forget and move forward. If you’re tired of the noise, and ready to lead with purpose — this one’s for you.  #LeadershipDevelopment #FaithLeadership #MissionDriven #ServantLeadership #SpiritualWarfare

Leadership Is Lonely, But It Doesn't Have To Be

Leadership is lonely. If you’ve carried the weight of responsibility—whether as a cop, a soldier, an executive, or even as a parent—you know what I’m talking about. The silence at the top. The feeling that nobody understands. That burden eats away at leaders every single day. Here’s the truth: leaders isolate themselves. We armor up. We don’t want to look weak. We don’t want to burden the people we lead. So we walk alone. And over time, the isolation corrodes our strength. But here’s what I’ve learned as a Warrior Servant Leader: we were never meant to fight alone. Servant leadership breaks that loneliness. Because it’s not about being untouchable—it’s about being connected. It’s not about thrones—it’s about circles. Circles, not thrones. Build a trusted circle of brothers, sisters, and mentors. You can’t fight every battle solo.Vulnerability is strength. When you say, ‘I’m struggling too,’ you don’t lose respect—you build trust.Anchor in faith. No leader was designed to carry it all. Strength comes from a higher source. “So if you’re leading and you feel alone right now—hear me. You’re not weak. You’re human. But you don’t have to carry the fight by yourself. Build your circle. Step into humility. And never forget—you are not alone. This is the Warrior Servant Leader Podcast. I’m Pat Welsh. Lead with courage. Lead with humility. And keep leading strong

Everyone is Born Unique, But Many Die as Photocopies

Everyone is Born Unique, But Many Die as PhotocopiesReflections on Blessed Carlo Acutis and the Call to Holiness This week, Blessed Carlo Acutis will officially be canonized as a saint in the Catholic Church. Known as the “patron saint of the internet,” Carlo was only 15 years old when he died of leukemia in 2006, but his short life continues to inspire millions. He left behind one simple but piercing quote: “Everyone is born unique, but many die as photocopies.” Carlo’s words cut through the noise of our modern culture. Too many of us live in comparison, imitation, and conformity. We trade in the masterpiece God created for a blurred copy of someone else’s life. But Carlo didn’t stop there. He also asked the deeper question: “What are you doing to be a saint?” That’s the challenge we unpack in this week’s episode of the Warrior Servant Leader Podcast. What You’ll Hear in This EpisodeThe inspiring life of Carlo Acutis and why he’s being canonized. What it really means to be “unique” in a culture of conformity. Why sainthood isn’t about perfection—it’s about daily faithfulness.Real-world leadership lessons from law enforcement that mirror Carlo’s message.Practical steps for living as the original God created you to be.The Challenge: Reflection & Discussion Questions Take these into prayer, journaling, or small group discussion after listening: Identity Check: Where am I living authentically as God created me? Where am I drifting into being a “photocopy”?Daily Holiness: What one daily practice could I adopt to grow closer to God?Leadership & Integrity: Where am I tempted to cut corners—and what would it look like to stand firm?Using My Gifts: What unique gifts has God placed in me, and am I using them for His glory?Legacy & Mission: If people summed up my life today, would they say I lived as an “original” or a “photocopy”? What is your Life Sentence? Carlo Acutis shows us that sainthood isn’t about age, status, or position. It’s about living fully as the person God made you to be—and offering that uniqueness back to Him in love. 👉 Listen to the full episode here: https://www.thewarriorservantleaderpodcast.com/ And remember: God made you unique for a reason. The Writing Is On The Wall

"The writing is on the wall." You’ve probably heard the phrase before. It usually means it is the beginning of the end for someone or something. But do you know where it comes from? The Book of Daniel. A king who thought he was untouchable. Until the handwriting of God declared his time was up. The King's ego and arrogance was his downfall - and people saw it coming. So did God. So God gave him notice of what was about to happen. He literally wrote it on the wall. Here’s the truth: the wall always speaks before the collapse. ·       In leadership, the wall warns you of mission drift. ·       In life, the wall warns you of cracks in relationships and faith. ·       In your career, the wall warns you before burnout and failure. The problem? Most people ignore the signs. Leaders don’t. In this upcoming episode, we’ll dig into: ·       The biblical roots of the phrase and why they matter today. ·       Why leaders miss the warnings staring them in the face. ·       How to recognize God’s handwriting before the collapse. ·       What it takes to act on the warning and change course. This isn’t about fear. It’s about clarity, courage, and course correction. I hope you are inspired and encouraged by this episode and are ready to take action. Share this episode with someone who needs to hear its message. Stand up, show up and defend what you believe. Put the wants and needs of others before your own. Be a person of influence and impact. Be a Warrior, Servant, Leader. #WarriorServantLeader #Leadership #Faith #Podcast #police #Leadershipdevelopment

    I Don't Believe In Superheroes!

I don't believe in Superheroes. I don't believe in superpowers, either. In today's world of AI, quick fixes, animosity, news cycles and division we don't need superheroes. Superheroes are for kids and adults who want to have a break from reality. Besides, every superhero has to live a hidden life, fearing someone will find their imaginary weakness - kryptonite or whatever. That is no way to live. No what we need is ordinary people, with ordinary lives, doing ordinary things with extra-ordinary impact. We need people who will stand up, show up and defend what they believe. Warriors. We need people who will put the wants and needs of others before their own. Servants. We need people who influence and impact the lives of others they meet, every day, everywhere. Leaders. You aren't a superhero if you do these things. Quite frankly, you are a Saint. We need more Saints. And I believe in Saints. Learn more about these insights and what you can do in today's episode of The Warrior Servant Leader Podcast.
