    By the end of Monday, I had not yet recorded a podcast for this week and with full transparency, I will say that I had zero motivation or creative juices flowing to record one and with Wednesday fast approaching, I was considering maybe A Constantly Varied Life should become a bi-weekly gig (which, further full transparency, could still be a possibility) but by the grace of God I was sitting in my bed, journaling about my really good, really jam packed day that was had and BOOM, it came to me!     We've all been there. We come into a new year and have a laundry list of goals and resolutions that we've typed up on our phone. We're feeling good!Enter the new year and add a few months. It is likely we have fallen off track, haven't even looked at that list and are feeling like we are right back where we started (or maybe even worse off) just a few months back.This year I decided to approach it a little different and rather than set audacious goals without much of a plan to get me there, I am going to talk about 24 (technically 25) things that I will or will not be bringing into the new year with me! These are things that I am already doing for the most but could afford to be doing better or moreso habits that I plan too put in place to help me move the needle in the areas of my life that I am hoping to thrive in. Said race for funsies qualified me for the DekaFit World Championships (something I didn’t even know existed).     S1||E6: The One Where She Normalizes, Or At Least Attempts To Normalize Negative Emotions And Feeling Sad

    In this episode we are working to normalize sulky days and not being happy all the time. I will explain why I feel that social media, while it can be a truly incredible outlet and way to keep in touch with friends and loved ones, is probably not the best place to be when you are not in a great headspace. We also chat about learning to identify the negative emotions you are feeling and being intentional with allowing yourself to feel the feelings and sulk in a healthy manner along with giving a few ideas of things you can do to help to pull yourself out of the funk that you have found yourself in.I truly feel that we are experiencing a shift in people feeling comfortable being more vulnerable and sharing when things are not always rainbows and butterflies but this is just the beginning and hopefully this message can help shed some light and acceptance on it being okay to not be okay. If you enjoy this podcast, please be sure to like, share and subscribe to help spread the word! Thank you for listening,Nikki <3
