Let's Talk About AcceptanceAcceptance is one of those words that gets used a great deal in personal development circles, but what does it actually feel like from the inside — and how do we get there when part of us is still pulling in the opposite direction? In this episode, we explore acceptance not as a passive settling, but as something active and hard-won, and we draw a clear distinction between genuine acceptance and apathy, which can so easily be mistaken for one another. At the heart of this conversation is the idea that inner conflict — the kind that keeps us stuck, resistant, or at war with ourselves — can be worked with directly through energy techniques. We use parts integration to explore what happens when different aspects of ourselves want different things, bringing humour and humanity to the process through the metaphor of an inner goblin and elf: two opposing forces that, once understood and brought into dialogue, can become allies rather than adversaries.
