From the Cockpit to the Capitol
Today, I talk with Senate District 18 candidate Dusty Blue, a man whose journey is rooted in faith, resilience, and a deep conviction that obedience to God must come before comfort or political convenience.Dusty’s story doesn’t begin in the halls of power—it begins in humble circumstances. Raised in what many would consider poverty, he quickly developed a determination to build something different for his life. That determination led him to fulfill not one, but two childhood dreams: serving in the military and becoming a helicopter pilot.But as life often goes, those dreams shifted. Changing economic conditions and advancing drone technology brought an end to his aviation career—but not to his drive.Returning to his hometown, Dusty and his wife built a successful construction business and planted deeper roots in their community. Yet even in the midst of that success, he felt a stronger call—one that went beyond business or personal ambition.A call to responsibility.Having closely watched the patterns coming out of the Missouri Capitol—elected officials making promises, swearing oaths to the Missouri Constitution, and then abandoning both—Dusty knew something had to change. Missouri’s Freest Senator

After the Storm
John Grady’s story is one of service, survival, and a relentless fight to rebuild—not just communities, but his own life.Grady answered the call to serve his country in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the Navy Seabees, deploying for two combat tours in Iraq in 2004 and 2005. He witnessed the realities of war firsthand—experiences that would follow him long after he returned home.But home offered no reprieve.Just days after his return, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Grady describes the aftermath as “Iraq without the shooting”—total destruction, entire communities reduced to rubble. Once again, he stepped into the chaos, this time not as a soldier, but as a restorer—spending years helping rebuild what had been lost.Eventually, an opportunity brought him back to his home state of Missouri. But like many veterans, Grady carried invisible wounds. PTSD, compounded by a serious head injury on a job site and cumulative trauma, led him down a difficult path that included a failed suicide attempt.At a critical moment, changes tied to the Affordable Care Act left him without access to the medication that had helped stabilize his condition. Forced to search for alternatives, Grady discovered cannabinoid therapies—and for the first time in years, things began to shift.That turning point didn’t just change his life—it gave him a mission.Alongside his wife Kara, also a Navy veteran, Grady co-founded Slaphappy Beverage Company, Slaphappy Hemp*, and the Slaphappy Hemporium. Together, they built more than businesses—they built a pathway to healing for themselves and for others. Through their nonprofit, A Thousand Ripples, they’ve helped fellow veterans find relief, stability, and hope.*While researching, I found that I was unable to open ANY website that contained the word hemp or marijuana in the name! If this is an issue you are having as well you can email John at [email protected] the fight wasn’t over.In November 2022, Missouri exited its hemp program, transferring oversight to the USDA. Grady and his family worked diligently to comply with evolving regulations. Then, in November 2025, a last-minute federal provision backed by Mitch McConnell dramatically changed the landscape—imposing restrictions that threaten the viability of natural hemp cultivation.For Grady, the consequences are deeply personal. The same therapies that helped save his life—and the lives of others—are now at risk of being taken away.He believes powerful marijuana lobbying interests are influencing policy, particularly within Missouri’s capital, leaving small operators and veterans behind. In response, Grady and others have called on President Trump to intervene and protect access to these alternatives.They are still waiting.With the future of their family business—and their life’s work—hanging in the balance, Grady is stepping into a new arena. This Shouldn’t Be Complicated
This week’s episode is a little different.No guest. No interview. Just me—sharing what I believe the Lord has been pressing on my heart.I recently read this statement in an article by the Christian Post that argued against Equal Protection bills, claiming they are harmful to the pro-life movement:“Moreover, unlike the victim of all other forms of homicide, the victim of abortion cannot be seen, has no name — the unborn child is a total stranger to the mother.”But as I read through it, I found myself stopping more than once with the same unsettling thought…This sounds like something I would expect from the pro-abortion side!And that shook me.How does someone who has spent 20 years in the pro-life movement arrive at arguments that echo the very position we claim to oppose? And maybe even more concerning… why are other pro-life voices applauding it?Somewhere along the way, clarity has been replaced with confusion.Because if we all agree on something as foundational as this—that the child in the womb is fully human, fully valuable, and fully deserving of life—then the question becomes unavoidable:Why wouldn’t the taking of that life be treated with the same seriousness as the taking of life outside the womb?That’s not a complicated question.It’s not a grey area.And yet, many within the movement are working hard to make it one.I keep coming back to this truth: God’s law is not flawed. It is perfect. It was never meant to be easy or comfortable—it was meant to reveal what is right, expose what is wrong, and ultimately point us to our need for a Savior.So why are we trying to reshape it into something more palatable?If the standard becomes easier… if obedience becomes attainable in our own strength… then what is the purpose of the Gospel?Sin always carries consequence. It may not always come as immediate punishment, but it is never without cost. And when we drift from the foundation God has already set—His standard of justice, His definition of truth—we shouldn’t be surprised when our efforts fall short.So I have to ask myself—and I’ll ask you the same:Have we elevated the mission above the One who gave it to us?Because if that’s the case, we’re not just off track—we’ve missed it entirely.Thanks for reading Nadine@9’s Substack! Utilitarian or Biblical?
In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Wes Scroggins, Executive Director of Abolish Abortion Missouri (AAMO), to talk about the growing abolition movement and the biblical worldview behind it.Wes shares how AAMO was founded after recognizing a major gap in the pro-life movement. For decades, many mainstream pro-life organizations have focused on regulating abortion—placing limits or restrictions on the practice. But the abolition movement approaches the issue from a different perspective: if abortion is the unjust taking of innocent human life, then it must be treated in law the same way we treat any other murder.Scripture speaks clearly about justice being applied equally:* Proverbs 20:10 — “Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord.”* Proverbs 17:15 — “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.”* Deuteronomy 16:20 — “Justice, and only justice, you shall follow.”These principles form the foundation of the abolitionist argument for equal justice and equal protection under the law for preborn children.Over the past year, many Missourians (as well as across the country) have begun to see evidence of a surprising reality: some of the strongest opposition to personhood and equal protection legislation is coming not from the pro-choice movement, but from establishment pro-life organizations.We discuss legislation like SJR72, a Personhood proposal that would recognize the preborn as persons under the law, making abortion illegal and holding those responsible for the murdering of an unborn child accountable in the same way the law treats other acts of homicide.Wes also addresses many of the common arguments used to oppose personhood legislation and explains why abolitionists believe these objections fail both biblically and logically.Another major topic we cover is the ongoing controversy surrounding Missouri HJR 73, often referred to as “Amendment 3.” Many proponents of the amendment have refused calls for a public debate with abolition advocates such as Wes—a refusal that raises serious questions about transparency and accountability in the movement.One thing is clear: continuing to approach this issue the same way we have for the past 50+ years will not bring justice for the preborn.The law itself serves a God-given purpose—to expose sin and restrain evil.As Scripture reminds us:* Romans 3:20 — “Through the law comes knowledge of sin.”* Romans 7:7 — “If it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin.”This episode is packed with powerful insights, challenging truths, and a call for Christians to reconsider how we pursue justice for the unborn.Call to ActionSupport SJR72 (Personhood) by contacting members of the Missouri Senate Emerging Issues Committee and urging them to vote “Do Pass.”You can easily find and contact the members using Act4MO’s dashboard tools!Quick ActionAnd most importantly—pray.Pray for wisdom, courage, and humility as we have these difficult conversations. A Sentimental Journey with Lola Pearl
Recently, I had the incredible honor of sitting down with Miss Lola Pearl at the remarkable age of 104. During our time together, Lola graciously shared memories from a life that spanned some of the most defining and difficult moments in American history.Born in 1921, Lola lived through The Great Depression and World War II—years that tested families, communities, and faith across the nation. Yet what stood out most in our conversation wasn’t hardship. It was community.Lola reflected on a time when neighbors cared for one another deeply—when communities rallied around those who were struggling and shared what little they had. Her stories remind us that even in the darkest seasons, people can choose compassion, generosity, and faith.More than anything, Lola was a beacon of light who understood how dependent she was on God. Her life was marked by gratitude, humility, and a quiet wisdom that comes from walking faithfully for many years.Just about two weeks after our interview, Lola went home to be with the Lord. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet her, listen to her stories, and share them with you. It truly felt like receiving a precious gift.My hope is that Lola’s words will encourage you to keep your eyes on what truly matters in this world:“I pray I’m living the life others can see Jesus in me.”A special thank you to Lola’s family for trusting me with such a meaningful moment in their story. That’s why practical output is much lower than ideal rated capacity.🧾 Federal Policy & the Acceleration of ProjectsThere has been a widespread belief that recent federal legislation would slow or rein in green energy expansion. However, Susan explains how an 11th-hour change instead:* Gave companies until July 4, 2026 to begin projects* Allowed four additional years to complete construction* Ensured they still receive full federal subsidiesRather than stopping projects, this change has lit a fire under developers to move faster.“Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1; Public Law 119-21), the federal tax incentives for solar and wind projects now require that a project begin construction by July 4, 2026 and be placed in service by December 31, 2027 in order to qualify for the Clean Energy Investment Credit (Section 48E) and the Clean Electricity Production Credit (Section 45Y) — provisions which were part of the final enacted text. That belief makes issues like planning and zoning complicated for me.Susan believes — and I agree — that if regulation exists, it is better handled at the local level rather than the state. However, I continue to wrestle with important questions:* Does the Missouri Constitution allow the legislature to delegate this authority without a constitutional amendment?* Should government be involved in planning and zoning at all?* Where is the line between personal property rights and harm to others, and who has the authority to define it?Susan shared that she once opposed planning and zoning, but after witnessing the consequences of having none in place, she now supports it in situations like this. While I understand that shift, I’m still carefully weighing the broader implications. Because implementing panning and zoning never affects just one situation.🐄 Slippery Slope or Legitimate Boundary?I raise hypothetical concerns that go beyond solar:* If zoning can restrict solar projects due to perceived harm, could it also be used against a hobby farmer selling raw milk?* If officials believe something is harmful to the community, does that justify intervention?Is that a stretch? Maybe. But in today’s America, I’m not convinced anything is off the table.🙏 Final ThoughtsI learned a tremendous amount from Susan. She is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and motivated by a genuine desire to protect landowners, communities, and future generations. Chosen, But Not Excused
In this episode, we take a careful, Scripture-centered look at Israel and the Christian responsibility toward it—seeking clarity beyond political talking points or popular theological assumptions.We address the foundational question: what does it actually mean to support Israel as a Christian? Rather than treating Israel as an exception among the nations, we argue that biblical support should look the same as it does for any nation—measured by truth, righteousness, justice, and submission to God.We examine what “Israel” means in Scripture and ask difficult but necessary questions, including whether support is tied to a name, a modern nation-state, or covenant faithfulness to God. We also discuss whether Christians are obligated to support a nation simply because it bears the name Israel, even if it were to abandon God’s commands or fall under ungodly leadership.The conversation briefly engages dispensationalism, explaining why we do not believe it offers the most faithful framework for understanding God’s promises. Instead, we turn to the biblical witness—particularly Romans 3–5 and 9–11—to show that righteousness has always been grounded in faith, not ethnicity, lineage, or national identity.We explore Genesis 12:2–3, emphasizing that God’s promise to Abraham is not only about blessing but also about purpose: “and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” This promise ultimately finds its fulfillment in Christ, through whom blessing is extended to Jew and Gentile alike.Drawing from Romans 4, we highlight that Abraham was declared righteous by faith, and that those who walk in the footsteps of his faith are counted righteous as well. This leads naturally to 1 Peter 2:9–10, where God’s people are defined not by ethnicity, but by their calling in Christ.Scripture consistently teaches that God’s covenant promises are tied to faith and obedience. Inside My First AmericaFest
Walking into AmericaFest for the first time felt like stepping into controlled chaos. Thousands of people. Loud music. Bright lights. Constant movement. Lines for everything. Entry. Food. Coffee. Bathrooms. But that’s part of the energy of AmFest — it’s meant to feel big, bold, and unforgettable.Thankfully, I had a press pass, which occasionally meant quicker entry and access — but this was also my first time doing any kind of remote press work. Learning how to move through a massive venue, trying to get the best picture without proper equipment (big shout out to my “cameraman” husband for showcasing his photography skills with his iPhone 16, lol!), track people down for interviews, and still try to capture thoughtful conversations was a challenge in itself. Add in the volume of the main hall — which was almost always loud — and getting usable interviews became harder than I expected.The vibe this year was tense. And a big reason for that wasn’t just the size of the crowd — it was the content of what was being said.The weekend kicked off with Ben Shapiro delivering a pointed address (one that I think confirmed to people the kind of guy he really seems to be) that set the tone for internal debates throughout the event. Shapiro didn’t hold back, sharply criticizing certain commentators and warning about “charlatans” and conspiracy-driven voices within the broader conservative movement. redstate.comHis comments sparked reactions across the lineup — including pushback from others like Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson (if you haven’t ever actually listened to Tucker and have made your opinions of him based off sound bytes, I strongly encourage you to actually listen to his show!) — creating an atmosphere where unity felt challenging. But, as Tulsi Gabbard (who I truly wonder if she can take a bad picture!) wisely said, “sometimes we can unite around the wrong thing”.Which causes me to wonder, maybe unity isn’t right for this moment, maybe all of this is necessary to separate the “wheat and the chaff”. One of the most striking moments came from Glenn Beck, who challenged the crowd directly:“You look for a leader. May I propose one? You. You ask those questions, but then you find the truth. Don’t wait for someone to bring it to you.”That message landed differently in an environment where so many people were searching for direction — and maybe even permission — to think for themselves.Russell Brand ended up being my favorite speaker of the weekend, which genuinely surprised me. His speech stood out — not just in tone, but in authenticity. As someone who is often very skeptical of celebrities becoming “christians”, I had no doubt in my mind that this conversion is real for Brand! And praise God for the amazing transformation that can only come through the perfect blood of the Lamb-Jesus Christ.In a lineup dominated by high-profile political media figures and elected officials, Brand offered something that felt different and genuinely thought-provoking. YouTubeSteve Deace made an observation that stuck with me:that certain phrases and terms are now used almost like code — a way to instantly identify whether someone is “on your team.” My thoughts-While that can create solidarity, it also deepens division and makes real debate harder. If we assume disagreement automatically means disloyalty, we lose the ability to have honest conversations.J.D. Vance echoed that concern in his own way, saying:“The best way to honor Charlie is that none of us here should be doing after his death what he himself refused to do in life.”It was a reminder that canceling, silencing, or shutting down debate runs directly against the legacy so many claim to be protecting.Rep. That idea felt especially relevant in a weekend marked by disagreement and discomfort.One of my biggest disappointments was the lack of meaningful discussion around Israel. It’s an issue that clearly matters deeply — especially to younger generations — and you could sense that people were hungry for answers, clarity, and leadership on it. The absence of that conversation was noticeable.All in all, AmericaFest was a good experience — one I’m genuinely glad I had. It stretched me professionally, pushed me into my first real remote press environment, and gave me a front-row seat to a major moment inside the conservative movement.But it also taught me something about myself. Days surrounded by massive crowds, constant noise, blaring music, and bright lights isn’t where I thrive. Fighting for your rights whether you like it or not!
Ike Skelton takes his role as Presiding Commissioner very seriously.So seriously, in fact, he faced 2 felony counts and 1 misdemeanor because he chose to enforce the ordinance Camden County had passed n December of 2024.What was so serious that it would cause Commissioner Skelton to risk so much?Flock Cameras. (This is the website that a caller mentioned you can go to and report the location of the cameras)I’m sure you’ve heard of them. Or at least seen them. They’re those little black boxes (oftentimes with a small solar panel attached) that have been popping up all over the country for the past few years. But don’t worry; they’re there to protect us and they would NEVER be misused *heavy sarcasm*.Ike is one of the few political servants who takes his role in serving the people of his country so seriously that he was willing to face these erroneous charges because as he says, “I’m going to fight to protect your rights whether you like it or not!”What are you willing to fight against? What mountain will you die on? I hope more of us will have courage like Ike did and does. And that we will always remember; God put us in this country for a reason and we are to be good stewards of all He’s given us. Tom Martz and his band of hard-nosed thugs have the nerve to grade our legislators and the laws they passed based off the Missouri Constitution! What right do they have to hold our elected officials accountable?! It’s not like the laws they pass govern us!Hopefully you can hear the sarcasm spewing out…It’s always still shocking to me when I realize just how many legislators couldn’t care less about legislating according to the constitution. Prayer is Tangible
I don’t often do monologues on my show. Which might seem ironic for a radio show host but I’m not naturally a talker! I’m not one of those women who talks to talk. Don’t get me wrong, I can carry on a conversation but I really dislike small-talk and I don’t like “boring people with the details” (shout out to those who caught the Dumb&Dumber quote!). But on occasion I really believe the Lord is pressing on me to speak; not my words, but His. This platform is, after all, for Him! So this morning I turned the mic up and trusted Him to speak through me. It is my sincere hope that is who you hear in the first 30mins. 00:31:00 Jeremy Jacobs insight is so helpful in understanding when incrementalism is troublesome and how we can examine if something is moving in the right direction.I have gotten to know Jeremy over the past year and half and am always encouraged by his commitment to prayer and his desire to save the unborn by reaching the born. I am grateful for his reminder that prayer is tangible and it is the key to changing hearts. No legislation will do what only God can do! No matter what state you live in, I know this topic applies to you. I hope it is helpful in understanding the problem with pro-lifers giving in to certain types of incrementalism. I hope you will also become a person of prayer; petitioning the Lord to change the hearts of those who seek to devalue life based on how they feel or what’s convenient.Let’s remember how mighty our God is and not settle for less than His perfect will!HJR73 will be on the ballot in 2026 as Amendment 3. The Truth About Fat
Is a low-fat diet responsible for creating the chronic disease/obesity epidemic in our country?What is actually causing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, NAFLD, and hypertension?Did salt get blamed for what sugar did?For years dietitians have operated under the same teaching: eat a low-fat diet and everything will be fine!Why are so many hesitant to change their thinking and their treatment protocols?Thankfully Donna was not! Charlie Kirk: A Legacy We Witnessed
There are moments in life when it seems like you have no words and yet there are so many things you want to say. Words to help process whatever you’re feeling.That’s how grief is to me. When the pain is so deep all you have are tears. And while it seems like words would help process the grief, they just keep getting stuck.A little over a year ago I experienced a depth of grief I had not felt for many years. And I’ve noticed that as I’ve gotten older, my empathy continues to heighten almost to the point of being unbearable at times.Last year, around this time, our community experienced the tragic loss of OBPD Phylicia Carson. I will never forget where I was when my husband told me the horrible news. And the waves of grief began to wash over me. For the next several days I found myself unable to control the tears. The pain inside from the grief needed to come out and the tears were that outlet. Though I wasn’t close to Phylicia, she was a friend and so is her family. Knowing how painful it must’ve been for the beautiful family she left behind just continued to pierce my heart. The only thing that brought comfort is knowing she is home with the Savior!I found myself feeling that same level of grief this Wednesday, September 10th, 2025. The day Charlie Kirk was assassinated.But why did I feel such pain for someone I had never even met?I think that says a lot about the type of person Charlie must’ve been. To have such an impact on people that they would grieve as though they’ve lost a dear friend when they’ve never even met you. A man who loved the Lord fiercely, who knew who he was created to be and stepped into it with great conviction and passion. He became such an influential part of so many of our lives. His passion, honesty and transparency drew us to him. I have often thought about Charlie’s legacy. Especially last year during election season when I would listen to his show and hear how much he and the team at TPUSA were doing to try and save our country! It was amazing and inspiring to me the way he would unashamedly fight for what he believed in. I loved hearing the passion and excitement in his voice. And I remember thinking how grateful I was that he was on our side.A few months back I was listening to him do an interview, I think with Jack Hibbs, when they were discussing what was next for him. I remember Charlie saying that right now he was spending some time enjoying the fruit of his labor. I keep replaying that in my head thinking on one side how grateful I am that he did get to see a little fruit while on this earth, but then on the other side feeling such a deep sense of loss over this man that seemed to still have so much left to do!Was that truly all that God had planned for him? What about his beautiful wife and two little ones? What about the many people who were close to him? What about our country?I’m reminded of Stephen-the first martyr for Christ-and the short time he seemed to have on earth. What grief those close to him must’ve felt! Did they think his life was unfairly cut short? That he was taken too soon? Did they have any idea of the impact his death would have for the world for the rest of time?Would there’ve been a Charlie Kirk without Stephen’s death?Charlie’s life exemplified Christ not only because he spoke and fought for Truth, but because he went to the sick. He took the Truth where it was desperately needed and where we’ve neglected to go for far too long. And the devil hated him for it. The devil will always hate strong, godly men who say, “here I am Lord, send me.”So, the question now is: Are we willing to carry on the legacy of men like Stephen and Charlie even if it means death or losing a loved one? Will we say, “here I am Lord, send me”?When a few weeks have passed and emotions aren’t as high and you’re bombarded with all the things, will you remember to carry the torch? Will you still want to? Where does your passion come from? How important is verification?
As someone who operates in black and white, I get so frustrated when I hear elected officials (or really people in general!) completely disregard something that is so blatantly obvious! "A moral and religious people"
Founding Father Samuel Adams said, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”That leaves me to wonder, what happens when we’ve become an immoral and irreligious people? What happens to the Constitution?I think we’re seeing first hand that it no longer is being used the way our Founders intended; to protect we the people from having our God-given rights infringed upon. It serves much like the Bible does for many “Christians” (I used that term very loosely in this context); people picking and choosing what it means when they want it to!So again, where does that leave us? More importantly, where does that leave future generations?War is waging, I pray you are seeking the Truth and guiding your children to do the same because that is the ONLY way there will ever be hope again in this country!Thank you to Camden County Presiding Commissioner for being my guest today and giving a short update regarding his case. From the very beginning of session this year, we knew Bryant was one to watch. So don’t be fooled by his baby face looks, he’s ready to step into the ring with the big boys and make them go all 12 rounds!Almost weekly I say how grateful I am for this platform God has given me that allows me to learn and talk to many wonderful people. This week, was no exception!Bryant is passionate and committed; not only to this state but more importantly to raising his family to love God and take duty seriously. For decades well-intentioned parents have been trying to protect their kids from harsh realities but in the meantime are paving the way for a destructive culture that will lead to an unrecognizable country where freedom becomes a history point instead of a daily blessing.We must teach our kids what it means to be good stewards of the country God has given us. There are certain words we hear and automatically the mind goes to, “conspiracy theory”. But one major thing I’ve learned these past few years as I’ve dug deeper into politics on every level is that these “conspiracy theories” are rarely “theories”!It’s time to stop assuming anything Orwellian or dystopian is only in Hollywood; if we open our eyes and actually look at what’s going on we will see many of these “theories” being played out in our own backyards!Jan, Linda, and Bob have spent many hours and lots of energy researching what the TransAmerica Corridor (TAC) is, who’s behind it, and what the effects will be for us and generations to come.I would generally direct you to the TAC website so you can look firsthand at the things we’re discussing but as of this morning, the website was on maintenance mode…nothing to see here people! *wink winkThankfully, lots of screenshots were taken before the website shut down so you can see what is being said is right from the TAC minds.Please take the time to look through the research and dig in more on your own and share this episode with others. “No shot, no school”?
Whether you send kids to public school or not, I’m sure you’ve heard it said that without the proper vaccinations, a child can not enroll in school. And in some situations a parent can be threatened with neglect if they choose to not abide by this requirement.So what does the law actually say? Act4MO
To be honest, I hadn’t even looked at Amy M Castro and Michael Compton website until about an hour before I interviewed them. Not because I don’t like them or disagree with their cause, but because I’m just like the rest of you…busy. I thought I had already seen anything that they would have to offer so why take the time to look at something new and overwhelm myself with yet another place to get information?!When I finally did get on there this morning so I would have a better ideas of what questions to ask them, I was blown away! Could it be that there was finally a website that was EXACTLY what I had been wanting?!All I could think while I browsed through was, “I can’t believe I’ve gone without this all this time!”The way they break things down is so simple and helpful. It’s so easy to get a snapshot of what you need to know OR dig in much deeper. And while they do share their thoughts on certain legislation, it’s evident that they have really tried to look at both sides when doing their research.I applaud them for sacrificing so much time, energy and money to try and help educate and equip those of us who are “too busy” to pay attention and/or get involved. There’s truly no excuse now! I urge you to check out Act4MO.org and bookmark it. It will be the best tool you can have to stay informed but not get overwhelmed.While all things take money, the biggest request Michael and Amy have was not for financial help but simply for more people to sign up for the Rapid Response team texts, or to get in touch with them and go take a trip to the Capitol, or to simply share their social media posts! There’s so many non time-consuming ways you can make a really big difference. They’ve done all the hard work, I think we can go the other 10%!And while they might not ask for donations, I will gladly ask on their behalf because I know how needed what they’re doing is and how important it is for us to come alongside them. “God’s purpose is not to make us happy in our sin.”A testimony is a powerful thing. Scripture says that “they overcame him (the accuser) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” (Rev. 12:11a)Sometimes I think people feel like unless their testimony has a “wow” factor it’s really not worth sharing. But I believe every person who has surrendered their life to Jesus has the biggest “wow” factor you can get in a testimony! So go and share yours, I know it will impact someone!Julian definitely has some “wow” factors in his testimony but I know that he would absolutely agree that the most amazing part of his story is God’s unending love and mercy. The Bible Experience
It was a pleasure interviewing Rick Khol and hearing how God has richly blessed him and used him for the past several decades!I first heard about the Bible Experience a few months ago and was able to take a tour of it on a weekend trip to Wichita, KS for my niece’s wedding. It was such an amazing experience! Hidden away in the back of Genesis Church this museum goes above and beyond what you would expect to find.Rick has spent many years collecting precious items that all help tell the story about The Greatest Story. Marshall lived a normal childhood. As the baby of three boys, they were known to be loud, adventurous, and well…boys!It’s clear through Marshall’s story that from a young age, the Lord was preparing his heart to receive salvation. And while he lived the life of a Christian on the outside for awhile, the enemy was doing his best to convince Marshall to live in fear and anxiety, ultimately keeping him from full surrender to Jesus Christ.Through the loving discipline of some men who had invested greatly into Marshall’s life, he was eventually “handed over to satan” so that he might truly return to the Lord (1 Corinthians 5:5; 1 Timothy 1:20). After years of living apart from Christ, knowing his actions were wrong, Marshall finally had an encounter with the Savior that would end up changing the course of his life forever!You can hear through his testimony how the Lord has softened Marshall’s heart and how sincerely he loves the Savior! School Choice’s Hidden Agenda

MO Legislative recap
As I share on the show, I’m so grateful for people like Miss A and the many others who have given hours and hours of time and energy to listen/watch and take notes of the session. The rate of bills being heard and passed this session made it impossible to keep track of everything. Please make sure to contact the Governors office (573-751-3222) and ask him to VETO SB79. We discuss this on the show but as a recap: this bill began as 3 pages and one section on “healthcare benefits for certain organizations” but changed to 31 pages and eight sections, then retitled “healthcare”. Unconstitutional?? It transforms a choice for medical treatment into a legal obligation if a pregnant woman tests positive for STI’s. While the language does say the woman has the option to take the test, it is very dangerous to assume that a woman who takes the test will be told and/or will know that if she does test positive she will then be mandated to receive treatment.I know when I was pregnant there were things that I missed because of hormones going crazy, sleepless nights, and the all too familiar baby brain! I guarantee you there are many woman who will go along with what their OB suggests because they haven’t had the time nor the brain power to do the research themselves and will then be blind-sided by this dangerous language of “shall”. How about the government just keeps their dirty paws off?!STOP MAKING MORE LAWS!!!! This is just part 1 of the recap. Weekend of Liberty!
It’s hard not to feel like the people of Missouri are better off when the legislators aren’t in session!We’ve seen so many things pushed through this session, all in the name of “the people”. And yet, we’re still waiting for the “fix” to Amendment 3 and IP Reform; the two things we’ve been promised since the beginning of session were a “top priority”.Are the legislators that out of touch with us common folk? Or are they that much smarter than us that they can see what we can’t? Or, are they so caught up in their position that the wrath of We the People is much less intimidating than the wrath of the Powers That Be?Lisa from Shield Maidens of MO has taken a lot of slack for calling things out. But I for one am so incredibly grateful for the work that she does to fight on our behalf. Even though often times we don’t deserve it because we just rely on others to stand up for us, she continues to push forward because her calling came not from the people but from THE King! And when THE King calls, you better come running!Lisa discusses how people can get involved the last two weeks of session and what to be on the lookout for (bills that are in conference). Click here to see it on the House website and here to see it on the Senate website (you’ll scroll almost to the bottom). You will be looking at the Bill Calendars. This is a great page to bookmark so you can reference it often to see what bills are coming through in the future.Please consider gathering some other individuals in your county to rotate being up at the Capitol whenever the legislators are in session the last two weeks of session. That would be 5/5-5/16. You can find the House and Senate session schedules on their websites.Tom and I discussed a troubling mental health bill. You can reference that here.You can also reference the sections of the MO Constitution that he discussed re 2A rights and the single subject rule in the pictures below. Or, if you want to look up the actual constitution you can find that here. Amendment 1 Sec. 23 (2nd amendment); Amendment 3 Sec. 21&23 (single subject bills).Also what I find troubling is the ballot language from 2014 when Missourians voted to approve giving the GA the authority to infringe on our 2A rights if having a mental disorder. As you can see, there was NO mention of this on the actual ballot question.It was included in the Fair Ballot Language which is often off to the side at your polling place but it seems to me like that should have been on the actual ballot since it’s literally taking away rights that you’re supposedly voting to keep!Again, this is why it is SO important to KNOW what you’re voting on BEFORE you go vote! There’s no reason in our time of information on demand to not be educated on these things. I don’t care who’s “in charge”, t is our responsibility to protect what God has given us for generations to come!And as always, remember to pray!
