In this first of a three-part run, I set out the broad historical map the series will follow, starting with Solomon’s Temple, the destruction of the First and Second Temples, and the Masonic legend of Hiram Abiff before moving into the rise of the Knights Templar. Tonight I split the programme into two very different but connected conversations about reclaiming control. In this episode of *Trial by Jury*, I sat down with Sukh to unpack what he sees as the three pillars of governance — the legislature, the judiciary and the executive — and why he believes an independent judiciary, rooted in jurors acting from conscience, is essential if people are to defend their autonomy over mind, body and property. This week on the Willoughby Surgery, I walked listeners through the opening stages of our Foundation Course and explained why I believe they matter.
