Episode 11: The weight you carry
Welcome to episode 11 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast!Hello from sunny Cyprus! Being here, having a change of scenary brought something into focus: how much our enviornment quietly shapes everything. The people around us. The experiences we carry. The emotional weight passed down through generations. Sometimes weight we end up carrying that was never ours to begin with.My grandparents immigrated to a new country with a new language and had to find their feet from scratch. And I grew up with that adaptation too, because it doesn’t just live in one generation. We pick it up without ever consciously choosing it.This epsiodes offers a look at that generational weight and outlines the importance of the enviornment and the quality it brings to your life.Studies have shown that you are the average of the 5 closest people around you. And that can have a huge impact. It can either be uplifting, caring and supportive or pull you down and keep you stuck. But here’s what I’ve also learned: when you start to shift what & who you surround yourself with, something else begins to move too. The people around you feel it. And slowly, they start to do the same.In this episode you’ll get:* Insights on the generational weight that can be put on us * How the quality of the environment quietly shapes you * How trauma operates beneath the surface* An invitation to look inside the emotional backpack you’ve been carrying * The compounding effect on your environment when you put yourself firstImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 10: NO is a full sentence
Welcome to Episode 10 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast!10 episodes already, I can’t believe it!Whether you’ve been here from the start or are joining us for the first time (welcome!) - thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being here. This space has quickly become a fixed date in my calendar. A moment to sit together and talk about life. Because honestly? Everything is better when we do it together. We often wonder if we’re the only ones going through hard times. Through my own journey I’ve learned that we are far more alike than we sometimes think. And that’s exactly why this space matters.Speaking of space…. Let’s get into this week’s topic: setting boundaries that actually get respected. If you look at the origin of the word boundary, it signals separation. Distance. And maybe that’s exactly why it so often comes loaded with uncomfortable thoughts.I’m being selfish. What will others think of me? I can’t be that strict.I’ve had every single one of those thoughts too.But I’m also deeply convinced that boundaries are the highest form of self-respect. I like to think of them as protecting your personal space, just as you wouldn’t let everyone into your physical space, boundaries work the same way for your mind and your overall health. In this episode you’ll get:* A new definition of what boundaries really are* Why being comfortable with silence is an advantage* A reminder of when we were all masters of boundaries* Why you need space in order to protect them* 3 practical tips to start establishing them todayImperfect, but perfectly me. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 09: Everyone is better than me
Welcome to episode 09 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast!Scrolling, perceiving….comparing?!It is no secret that Social Media has brought us together and made communication and meeting new people across the world easy, affordable and accessible. But it also opened the door to constant exposure and stimuli from other people’s lives, their behaviors and achievements. A fruitful ground for comparison available 24/7. As human beings we need social comparison and our brain is naturally wired to evaluate and rank ourselves to ensure our belonging in our ‘tribe’. But with social media we quickly rank ourselves against everyone and move from using comparison for orientation and adaptation towards rejecting and negating ourselves. And suddenly we think ‘Everyone is better than me’. This episode offers a new perspective to challenge that assumption and look behind the reasons comparison touches something deep within us. In this episode you’ll get:* The role that social media plays in comparison & community* Insights on how social comparison is crucial growing up* The risk of obsessive comparison and why it’s you vs. you* An invitation to look at envy as a signal * How to challenge the ‘Everyone is better than me’ autopilotImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 08: If your emotions could talk
Welcome to episode 08 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast! We surpress in meetings, keep up the brave face. Numb ourselves through screens or television. And go through life like this day by day.Until it adds up and your body suddenly starts ‘speaking’.We now know through the proven mind-body connection that if the mind doesn’t process certain emotions correctly, the body takes the hit.The natural emotional cycle lasts approximately 90 seconds causing a rise in hearth & breath rate and temperature until it dissipates and your body returns to its normal state. If we would stick to that, great. There wouldn’t be any problems. So where’s the blocker?Let me ask you something.Ever caugt yourself ruminating over something that happened hours, day even weeks ago? This is what happens. Our mind is prolonging that emotion by overthinking, overanalysing and forcing it to stay in our system.Studies have shown that you can literally spot where the emotion sits within the body. And it brings a great message we can learn to detect. That’s why interventions that only focus on the spoken word aren’t as effective as work that includes our body.In this episode you’ll get:* An introduction of the natural emotional cycle* Hints where your body stores emotions* An understanding of the role of the nervous system* Insights on what the emotion might be telling you* A practical tool to try out to calm your nervous system Imperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 07: Overcoming fear
Welcome to episode 07 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast!I’ve been loving receiving your messages on where and when you listen to this podcast - whether on your walk, in the car or during your lunchbreaks. So it’s time to get comfortable for a rather uncomfortable topic for this week’s epsiode: Overcoming your fear. You have that one situation, goal, person or even decision that causes that feeling of unease. That tight knot in your chest or stomach. That causes sweaty hands. And immediately your brain has something to say about it, too. Why you can’t make it and it’s too big/ambitious/risky for you. Convincing you that this is the wrong decision, delivering enough reasons why it might be just like that. But our brains are also lying to us and filter out main evidence that would contradict our biggest fears. With 60.000 to 80.000 thoughts per day our brains repeat 85% of the thoughts from the previous day. If we look at our fears from that perspective, it becomes quite quickly clear, why overcoming our fears sometimes feel impossible. Because we unconsciously fed these old beliefs based on past experiences. And it’s understandable. Because our system tries to protect us from the free fall. At least that’s what it feels like for many of us.The bad news? If you want to grow and expand your comfort zone you’ll face certain fears at some point. There’s no shortcut. The good news? We can use that feeling and learn to turn it into power to push through. First with small steps, then through repeated actions. That’s the technique the most successful people in the world are using too. If they can do it, so can you. Let’s go through it together! In this episode you’ll get:* An invitation to locate fear also on a physical level* Reasons why fear is not only bad* Insights on why your brain treats fear like a free fall * Why there’s only one way out and you need the right equipment to do so* Encouraged to overthink the best case scenariosImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 06: Same old story
Welcome to episode 06 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast! Not good enough. Not smart enough. I have to be perfect. I should be more successful.Don’t we know it all? That same old story running inside of your heads. Keeping you awake at night. Feeling sometimes worried about the future. And giving you the impression that nothing’s ever going to change. Because it’s constantly there. Over and over again. Like it’s stuck on replay. A broken record we accept and belief. And that quietly might be pulling us in the wrong direction. But what is actually the right direction? When it comes to transformation and change, lots of initiatives focus on the wrong starting point: The Strategy.Whilst we’re technically good with having a strategy and executing it, there are other aspects that hold a way greater leverage in helping us achieve our dreams and goals. Our state and story. You need the first to have the energy to look at the last. And the story to go with the right strategy. But are you living your life based on an old, outdated story? In this episode you’ll get:* The 3 key elements on the journey to promotion to Inner CEO* Why shifting from external to internal is the first step* An invitation to look on the other side* The real difference between impression vs. expression * One key takeaway to use that replay to your advantageImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 05: Under Pressure
Welcome to episode 05 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast! This week’s topic is one many of you have asked about and I think most of you will relate to: Finding mental strategies for everyday life when you’re under pressure. In a fast moving, ever changing world it’s easy to find ourselves piling up tasks, expectations, meetings and commitments. Until it becomes harder and harder to handle it all.But how do we stay grounded and balanced when pressure rises — whether that’s internal or external? Before we dive into that, there’s something important to understand first. Stress is part of our human existence. We actually need it to move forward and grow. But there’s a point where it becomes too much. And before we look at how to release it, we need to understand what’s happening in your brain and what’s quietly contributing to the weight in your everyday life before it gets too heavy. In this episode you’ll get:* Insights on why stress isn’t necessarily something bad* An explanation of the teakettle of stress and your brain’s response to pressure* A breakdown of 4 hidden loads* that impact your coping mechanism over time* Strategies on how to release pressure using the ‘Power Hour’* An invitation to take another viewpoint instead of going all in or out*more about the hidden loads in ‘Big Trust’ from Dr. Shadé ZahraiImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 04: Outside of the Box
Welcome to episode 04 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast!First of all, thank you all so much for listenting, commenting and sharing the podcast so far. It means more than you can imagine and helps me tailoring the episode topics closer to what’s on your mind & heart. This week’s topic touches on something I’ve gone through these past years and don’t think gets talked enough about. It’s that moment when you realise you are outside of the box. And you no longer fit in.Quite scary, but also quite human.Throughout our lifes we evolve as human beings - we change, we grow, we learn. And through that we eventually arrive at a point where the old no longer fits and the new isn’t there yet. You just know you can’t go back. This truly is an exploration of how to find beauty in that process, sharing it from my own experience and inviting you to look at the questions that matter to help you determine where you actually want to fit in.In this episode you’ll get:* A glimpse into my personal experience with ‘falling out’* A new perspective of finding beauty in being the black sheep* Reflections on the right questions when it happens* Insights on the hidden cost of trying to fit into the wrong room* An invitation to express your individualityImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 03: Time to say goodbye
Welcome to episode 03 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast! Many of you have asked me to talk about letting go — and why we sometimes face such resistance around it.You know you have to. It might even no longer serve you. Maybe it’s even holding you back or keeping you stuck. Whether that’s a job, a relationship, a friendship or something else entirely. And yet you seem to end up at the same point, over and over again. That’s because letting go isn’t just ‘a moment.’It’s a complex, uncomfortable process and it deserves some real attention. In this episode we break it down and dive deeper into what’s actually going on in your brain. Using the analogy of an open mental tab that’s waiting to be closed, we explore what prevents us from moving through it.There’s nothing wrong with you. It’s actually very human. It’s easy to find yourself ruminating over potential outcomes or overthinking the whole situation, unconsciously creating an emotional weight instead of releasing it. And that’s exactly what sticks to the brain. In this episode you’ll get:* Insights into why your brain treats letting go like unfinished business* Why it can feel like losing a part of yourself* Simple ways to detach yourself using neuroplasticity & visualisation* A different perspective on letting go by loosening the grip rather than forcing the releaseImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 02: Mind the Gap
Welcome to episode 02 of the Inner CEO Code Podcast!Have you ever noticed how life just keeps adding up? Expectations, roles, tasks, thoughts, one by one they pile on. Until one day you look around and realise: there’s no space left. You feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and desperately in need of a break. That break often comes in the form of a vacation, a long weekend, or in the worst case scenarios through sickness forcing you to stop. But what if we didn’t have to wait for that moment? In this episode, I’m using the analogy of an overstacked train compartment I was in earlier this week. You know the one, where people keep pushing in even though there’s clearly no room?So let me take you on a little journey as we explore what happens when we don’t create space to digest, grow and rest before rushing off to the next destination. And how we can learn to do it differently. In this episode you’ll get:* An analogy of how we move through life: are you stacking your brain?* Simple ways to create space and get unstuck* Insights on the meaning of seasonal changes* How to spot your personal signs before things get too much* The powerful link between body & mindImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy, LisaMusic credits: TVARI Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe

Welcome to the Inner CEO Code Podcast
Welcome to the Inner CEO Code Podcast’s first episode! I’m so glad that you’re here and part of this little project.Recording a podcast has been on my ‘plan’ for a while now. But as you know, we sometimes are perfect at working out the perfect plan to then realise that life is all but predictable. After almost a year of overthinking, overplanning and waiting for the 'perfect moment’ I realised that the perfect moment is NOW.So here I am. Not perfectly ready - just ready.Following a quote I’ve heard earlier in the week ‘Come as who you are and work with what you got’, that's exactly what this is. Real experiences, personal stories, and honest reflections on what it means to lead from the inside out.In this episode you'll get:- A warm welcome to the Inner CEO Code Podcast- An introduction to the voice behind the mind (Hi it's me!)- How ditching the perfect plan can be something positive- Useful tools for when things go outside of the planImperfect, but perfectly me.I hope you enjoy.Thank you for being here. With joy,Lisa Get full access to Lisa Rosato at collectiveanchors.substack.com/subscribe
