Sexy Menopause — With Lisa Fitzpatrick

What happens when menopause, heartbreak and a crisis of identity collide and the life you thought you were living suddenly disappears? In this episode of The Resilience Movement Podcast, Donna Moulds sits down with physiotherapist, pelvic and sexual health educator and author Lisa Fitzpatrick for a candid conversation about menopause, desire, relationships, ageing and rebuilding your sense of self. Lisa shares the deeply personal experience of her fiancé ending their nine-year relationship by text while she was already navigating the physical and emotional changes of menopause. It left her questioning far more than the relationship. Who was she now? Was she still desirable? What did ageing mean? And how do you rebuild when the version of your future you believed in suddenly no longer exists? Lisa takes us into the messy middle of that experience from feeling invisible and undesirable to travelling alone through Laos for five weeks and beginning to rediscover her own worth, independence and appetite for life. Drawing on more than three decades of professional experience in pelvic and sexual health, Lisa also challenges some of the narratives women have been taught about menopause, ageing and sexuality. Together, Donna and Lisa explore why menopause can be more than a collection of symptoms to manage. It can also become a threshold into greater authenticity, confidence, pleasure and personal power. In this conversation, you'll hear about:  Rebuilding identity after heartbreak and major life transition  Menopause, ageing and the fear of becoming invisible  Why there is no one-size-fits-all approach to navigating menopause  Sexual health, intimacy and changing desire in midlife  The conversations couples need to have as their bodies and relationships change  Radical self-care and learning to listen to your body  Why desire doesn't have an expiry date  How an ending can become the beginning of an entirely different chapter Lisa is the author of Sexy Menopause: The New Science and Soul of Midlife Desire, launching 27 October 2026. Her message is powerful: Menopause doesn't have to mark the beginning of your decline. It can become an invitation to meet the most authentic version of yourself yet. Whether you're navigating menopause yourself, supporting someone who is, rebuilding after a relationship ends, or simply standing at the edge of a new chapter in your life, this conversation is about what becomes possible when you stop treating change as the end of your story. The Body Knows Before We Do with Elsa Valentine

What if your body has been trying to tell you the truth long before your mind was ready to hear it?Today's guest is Elsa Valentine founder of a neuroscience-based self-reflection app that uses video to create a dialogue between your past, present, and future self. Her path to building this technology began not in a boardroom but in breakdown twice. Once as a teenager when her nervous system said enough, and again while building a startup, ticking every wellness box on the outside while quietly collapsing on the inside.Elsa grew up with a mother who had bipolar disorder. She learned early to become invisible formless, accommodating, just not existing. What followed was a decades-long journey through somatic practice, breathwork, neuroscience-based mindfulness, and the hard work of learning to feel for a woman who once genuinely believed she had no feelings at all.In this conversation we explore what it means to stop running from what you feel and start listening. We talk about the neuroscience of emotion, the paradox of grief and freedom, and why self-compassion is not weakness it is the foundation everything else is built on.And Elsa shares a story that stopped me in my tracks the horse that arrived in her life on the very day her mother passed away. This one will stay with you.Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

Content Warning: This episode contains open discussion of suicide, grief, trauma, and psychological injury. Please take care of yourself first. What happens when you don't deal with pain and how it eventually forces you to.Todd "Donny" Maguire is a former Queensland undercover police officer who spent two years embedded in the state's criminal underworld as Donny Wilson, living under constant pressure, surrounded by violent criminals, and on more than one occasion genuinely believing he was about to die. What his colleagues didn't know was that behind the operation, Todd was carrying the unprocessed grief of losing his partner to suicide. Instead of stopping to deal with it, he went deeper into high-risk work. What followed was a period of self-destruction, declining mental health, and a death wish that wasn't about wanting to die by his own hand, but about wanting someone else to end the pain for him.In this raw and important conversation, Todd shares how that path unravelled, the moment that forced him to see what he'd been avoiding, and why he believes psychological injury deserves the same urgency and openness as physical injury.📖 Donny – An Undercover Cop with a Death Wish by Todd MaguireAvailable now: 🔗 Todd's website: https://toddmaguire.com.au/ 🔗 Amazon Australia: https://www.amazon.com.au/Donny-undercover-deathwish-Todd-Maguire/dp/1764384407If this episode brings something up for you, please reach out. Why Some Relationships Don’t Survive Boundaries

Boundaries are often talked about as if they are simple. But in real life, boundaries can change the trajectory of your relationships, your self-respect, and the way you move through the world. In this episode of The Resilience Movement, Donna Moulds explores the reality of setting boundaries not the social media version, but the version that sometimes costs you something.Donna shares a deeply personal story about the moment she realised that continuing to tolerate certain behaviours was no longer aligned with the person she had become. What followed was a decision that changed the dynamics of several relationships and ultimately brought a level of peace she had not experienced before. This episode explores:• Why boundaries are so difficult to create when you weren’t raised with them • How patterns of behaviour slowly reveal where boundaries are needed • Why the people who benefited from your lack of boundaries often resist your new ones • The emotional cost that sometimes comes with protecting your self-respect • The unexpected peace that can follow when you stop tolerating behaviour that diminishes youDonna also shares 10 practical steps for setting boundaries and reflection questions to help you examine where boundaries may be needed in your own life.If you have ever struggled with feeling responsible for other people’s comfort while ignoring your own wellbeing, this conversation will resonate deeply.Sometimes the most powerful act of resilience is simply deciding what behaviour you will no longer accept.Reflection Questions from the Episode• Who in your life leaves you feeling respected, supported, and valued? • Where are you currently tolerating behaviour that doesn’t sit right with you? • What might change in your life if you had the courage to create a boundary there?Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

    Today is a Good Day

Today is a good day. Now, I want to be really clear when I say that. That doesn’t mean every day is good. And it definitely doesn’t mean life is easy or that everything is going smoothly. What it means is this When I’m intentional, I can create a good day.I don’t wake up and immediately replay yesterday. I don’t start my morning carrying old conversations, old worries, or things I can’t change.Instead, I begin with gratitude. Not the fluffy kind. The grounding kind.Gratitude brings me back into the present moment. And from there, I move through the day consciously, not on autopilot. That means I respond instead of react. I notice my thoughts. I notice where my energy is going. And I make choices on purpose.Tomorrow is the 14th of January, and I want to pause here and ask you something. How are you doing? Not how you think you should be doing. Not how it looks on the outside. But honestly Are you on track with what you hoped this year would feel like? Or do you need to shift, adjust, or re-plan?And if you do That’s okay.So many people believe that once the year starts, the plan is locked in. That if you’ve lost momentum, or clarity, you’ve somehow failed. But resilience doesn’t work like that.Resilience allows reflection. It allows recalibration. It allows you to choose again without judgment.Sometimes progress looks like slowing down. Sometimes it looks like starting over. And sometimes it simply looks like choosing to show up differently today than you did yesterday.A good day isn’t created by circumstances. It’s created by intention. So if today needs to be a reset, let it be one. If today feels heavy, meet it with kindness. And if today feels steady, honour that too.Today is a good day. Not because everything is perfect. But because you still get to choose how you show up.Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

Mindset Over Motivation: Why Change Finally Sticks - with Jamie Elston

What if the reason change hasn’t lasted… isn’t your discipline, motivation, or willpower but your mindset? In this episode, I’m joined by Jamie Elston, a mindset-led coach whose personal journey challenges everything we’ve been taught about fitness, success, and self-worth.Jamie grew up carrying the label of “the fat kid.” Years of bullying, body shame, and all-or-nothing thinking shaped how he saw himself long after the moments had passed. By 18, that internal struggle led to anorexia. Even when his body changed, the disconnection didn’t.It wasn’t until one simple sentence from a coach reframed everything that Jamie stopped chasing extremes and started building a life that actually felt sustainable.“Until fitness is part of your lifestyle, you’ll never be happy.”That moment changed not just how he trained but how he lived. In this conversation, we explore:Why motivation fades and mindset is what makes change stickHow old labels quietly dictate our choices and self-worthThe danger of all-or-nothing cycles and “starting again Monday”Why doing less (not more) often leads to better resultsWhy external success doesn’t create internal peace without inner workThe mindset shifts that genuinely set you up for a different year aheadThis episode isn’t about New Year hype, punishment, or pushing harder. It’s about alignment, self-trust, and designing change that lasts. If you’ve ever felt tired of trying, failing, and starting again this conversation will meet you where you are and show you a more compassionate way forward. 🌱🎧 Listen in and ask yourself: What story am I still living from and am I ready to rewrite it?Reach out to Jamie - https://www.facebook.com/jamie.elston.146 Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

If you don’t know where to start right now, this episode is for you. This is not a New Year’s resolution conversation. It’s not about motivation, wishful thinking, or waiting for the “right time.”This episode is for anyone navigating change whether that’s a career shift, the end of a relationship, burnout, health changes, menopause, or the quiet realisation that life looks very different to how you imagined it would by now.In this episode, we explore why planning feels so hard after significant change, and why avoiding a plan often keeps us stuck rather than protected. We redefine what a real plan actually is not a rigid schedule or perfect vision, but a clear direction supported by simple structure and meaningful deadlines. You’ll be guided through 10 practical strategies to help you create a plan that works in real life, including:How to identify the season of life you’re actually inWhy choosing one clear focus reduces overwhelmHow to define what “better” really means for youThe role of deadlines as self-trust, not pressureHow to build structure before motivationWhat to remove when energy feels lowHow to handle resistance without self-judgementWhy clarity comes from action, not before itThis episode is designed to be listened to slowly. Compartmentalising & Using Your Emotional Intelligence to Stay on Track

Compartmentalizing & Emotional Intelligence: How to Stay on Track When Life Gets MessyEpisode Description: Ever had one of those days where one bad moment threatens to derail everything? A tough conversation before a meeting. A personal issue that bleeds into work. A challenge that sits heavy on your mind and steals your focus. In this episode, I’m diving into the art of healthy compartmentalizing — the skill of putting challenges into a “mental box” so you can stay focused on what matters most right now, and come back to deal with those challenges later. When paired with Emotional Intelligence, this becomes one of the most powerful tools for resilience, leadership, and personal growth.I share a defining chapter from my own journey — a moment when life threw me into chaos just weeks after launching a new business. With my back against the wall, bills to pay, clients to serve, and no time to fall apart, I had to dig deep and use these skills to keep moving forward. This isn’t about avoiding problems or pushing feelings down forever. It’s about managing your emotional state, protecting your focus, and giving yourself permission to show up fully — even when things are messy behind the scenes. You’ll learn: ✨ The 4 components of Emotional Intelligence and how they help you compartmentalize effectively ✨ Practical tools to keep emotions from spilling into the wrong moments ✨ Why this skill builds resilience, resourcefulness, and trust — in yourself and in others ✨ How to create boundaries, rituals, and “reset buttons” to help you shift your state quicklyWhether you’re leading a team, running a business, or navigating life’s curveballs, this episode will help you stay steady, protect your energy, and keep moving toward your goals — even in the middle of a storm.🎧 Listen now and learn how to box it, focus, and keep going.#Resilience #EmotionalIntelligence #Leadership #Focus #Mindsetmatters #theresiliencemovementSupport the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

🎙️Whole-Person Relationships: How Self-Love and Identity Shape Connection | Toby Whittington

In this episode of The Resilience Movement, I’m joined by Toby Whittington – an advocate, academic, and coach whose diverse life experience has shaped his powerful work in relational wellness. With over three decades of self-employment across creative, charitable, and sustainability-focused industries, Toby’s journey took a deeply personal turn following his diagnosis with Klinefelter’s Syndrome (47 XXY). Rather than viewing this as a limitation, Toby reframed his experience into a path of self-acceptance, later embracing his identity as a proud intersex person. Today, he’s an accredited sexologist, a relationship coach, and a master’s student in counselling, using both lived and scholarly insight to guide others in forming Whole-Person Relationships. We explore: ✨ What it means to be in a Whole-Person Relationship – and why this framework is vital in today’s disconnected world ✨ How Toby’s diagnosis became a catalyst for deeper self-love, identity integration, and emotional resilience ✨ The limiting beliefs many carry around love, intimacy, and identity – and how Toby has challenged these, personally and professionally ✨ How trauma-informed coaching, academic theory, and real-world experience combine to support healing in relationships ✨ Why vulnerability is not a weakness, but a bridge to deeper connection with oneself and others ✨ Practical advice for those beginning their own journey toward relational authenticity and self-trust This conversation is rich in insight for anyone navigating personal reinvention, emotional healing, or seeking a more compassionate approach to connection. Whether you're beginning your healing journey or a seasoned practitioner looking to deepen your understanding of relational dynamics, Toby offers a grounded and integrative perspective that blends academic rigor with human warmth. 🔗 To connect with Toby or learn more about his work, you can find him at https://www.whole-person-relationships.com/ 🧡 As always, thank you for listening to The Resilience Movement. When You Feel Invisible

🌟 When You Feel Invisible 🌟This is for the woman who’s ever looked in the mirror and quietly asked… “Where did I go?” 💭For the mums, caregivers, career jugglers — the ones who’ve spent decades showing up for everyone else 👩‍👧‍👦👩‍💻 And suddenly realise... they feel unseen. 🙇‍♀️That quiet sense of invisibility can sneak in as we age. The world stops noticing. Roles shift. And you wonder where you fit in your own life. 😞✨ I’ve been there. After turning 50 — my kids were grown, my marriage ended, my career had shifted — I felt like I’d faded into the background. And I wasn’t alone. So many women feel this.💥 But here’s the truth: You’re not meant to fade. You’re allowed to take up space again. You can find yourself — and fall in love with your life all over again.Let’s talk about how. Here are 10 powerful ways to shine the light back on YOU 🔦👇1️⃣ Acknowledge the feeling — without shame. 💬 2️⃣ Reconnect with your story — journal, reflect, remember who you are. 📝 3️⃣ Move your body — walk, dance, stretch, shift your energy. 💃 4️⃣ Curate your space — update your environment to reflect the real you. 🛋️ 5️⃣ Practice mirror work — “I see you. Designing Your Future – See It, Feel It, Act On It

🎙 Welcome back to The Resilience Movement Podcast! I’m your host, Donna Moulds, and today, we’re diving into a game-changer—creating a vision for your future, even when it’s unclear. If you keep looking back, you’ll stay stuck. So, how do we design a future that excites us, even without all the answers? Let’s talk about it. 🚀 The Power of Vision Imagine setting out on a road trip with no map, GPS, or clear destination—just a vague idea of wanting something better. Stressful, right? Yet, that’s how many of us approach life! We dwell on past mistakes, regrets, and lost opportunities. But what keeps us stuck isn’t the past itself—it’s our attachment to it. The key to moving forward is designing a vision that pulls you ahead instead of letting the past weigh you down.🌟 Seeing Your Future – Even When It’s Unclear You don’t need all the details to start moving forward. Clarity comes from action, not waiting.Instead of focusing on what you don’t want, shift to what you do want.Ask: How do I want to feel? What kind of life excites me?Create a vision board, write it down, or close your eyes and visualize yourself thriving. Even if it feels distant, see it.💡 Feeling Your Future – The Emotional Blueprint Your mind responds to emotions. Thinking about your future keeps it an idea, but feeling it makes it real.Imagine waking up in that future—confident, fulfilled, financially secure. What does it feel like? The more you immerse yourself in that feeling, the more your brain believes it’s possible. And when you believe it’s possible, you start making decisions that align with that vision.🎯 Acting on Your Future – Small Steps, Big Impact Here’s where most people get stuck—they see the vision, feel the excitement, but don’t act because they’re waiting for certainty. But certainty is a myth. The only way to create your future is by taking action, even when the path isn’t clear.Start where you are, with what you have.Make decisions from where you want to be, not where you’ve been.Surround yourself with people who inspire growth.Every action, no matter how small, moves you closer to your future.🔥 Final Words – You Hold the Pen Your past is just a chapter—it’s not the whole book. You hold the pen. You decide what happens next.Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

When Others Don’t Believe in You, Believe in Yourself

When others don’t believe in you, it’s crucial to believe in yourself more, not less. On this episode of The Resilience Movement podcast, I dive into why self-belief is the cornerstone of resilience. It’s that inner voice that whispers, “I’ve got this,” even when external voices say otherwise.People’s doubts often reflect their own fears, not your potential. Their perspective doesn’t define you; only you can do that. I’ll share actionable strategies to turn doubt into determination, such as reframing negative feedback into fuel for growth and celebrating small wins to prove your capability.Building a supportive circle of belief-builders is essential. Surround yourself with mentors, friends, and communities that uplift you. Let go of toxic relationships and lean into those who encourage and inspire. Resilience isn’t built in isolation; it thrives within a network of support.Daily practices like affirmations, journaling, and visualization can fortify self-belief. And setbacks? They’re not derailments but lessons to refine your approach. Every failure is a stepping stone toward greater strength and success.I’ll share personal stories of overcoming doubt and finding the courage to keep going, illustrating how resilience transforms adversity into triumph. Remember, your belief in yourself is your most powerful tool. When others don’t see your potential, prove it to yourself instead. If this message resonates, I’d love to hear your thoughts or stories about overcoming doubt. Connect with me on social media or through the podcast website, and don’t forget to subscribe and share this episode. Together, we can empower a world of resilient individuals. Create Your Vision - Thoughts Become Things

Creating a Vision for Your Future with Gratitude and VisualizationSegment 1: Understanding the Power of MindsetBefore we get into the "how," let’s talk about the "why." Life can throw challenges our way – setbacks, disappointments, and moments of doubt. It’s easy to fall into a negative mindset, focusing on what’s wrong or what’s missing in our lives. But here’s the truth: what you focus on expands. If you’re constantly thinking about the negative, you’re inadvertently inviting more of it into your life.Segment 2: The Transformative Practice of GratitudeGratitude isn’t just about saying "thank you" – it’s about cultivating a deep appreciation for the present moment and the abundance already in your life. When you focus on what you have rather than what you lack, you create a mindset of sufficiency and abundance. Here’s how to start:Daily Gratitude Practice: Each morning or evening, write down three things you’re grateful for. They don’t have to be monumental – it could be as simple as the warmth of your coffee or the sound of birds outside.Feel It Fully: Don’t just list your gratitudes; take a moment to feel them. Close your eyes and immerse yourself in the joy or comfort they bring.Segment 3: Creating a Vision with VisualizationNow that you’re building a foundation of gratitude, let’s talk about creating your future. Visualization is a tool that allows you to imagine your goals and dreams as if they’re already happening. Athletes, performers, and successful entrepreneurs use visualization to prime their minds for success. Here’s how you can start:Set Your Scene: Imagine Your Ideal Future: Anchor Your Emotions: Repeat Daily: Segment 4: Combining Gratitude and VisualizationHere’s where the magic happens: combine gratitude and visualization into a single practice. Start by expressing gratitude for what you already have, then transition into visualizing the future you’re creating. Segment 5: Real-Life ExamplesI share a couple of real storiesSegment 6: Taking ActionGratitude and visualization are powerful tools, but they’re most effective when paired with action. Start taking small, intentional steps toward your vision. Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

Don't drag your sorry self into 2024!

It's that time of year, you know, that time where if you were fortunate to have a break then you at some point will be returning to work, your job, your business your passion hopefully. If you are already back at work and hating it, this message is for you. There are some really simple strategies to help you get ready to return to work or your business without feeling dread. One of the ways is to be sure you have enough rest, and you can feel like you have recharged. I don’t know about you but I reached the end of the year exhausted, fatigued from stress and really need a break, in fact day one of my 2-week break, I got sick, so sick that I couldn’t do anything, this wasn’t a coincidence I can assure you, I probably knew unconsciously that I was going to crash and burn and if I didn’t I would have kept pushing through.2023 was full of amazing opportunities, and great achievements for all and it was also one of the hardest years of my career that I had experienced in some time. You see I had a plan, it was a great plan that would change lives, not only my team's but our client's lives and ensure they can build a better future.  By December I knew I needed a break so I could come back to work fresh and achieve all the plans we have made back in 2023 for 2024/2025.Those of you that have a job and spend every day at work hating it, get a grip, or should I say a new job, you aren’t stuck so stop spending 40 hours a week doing something you hate. If that’s where you are going to stay, then start getting grateful for what you have and so on a daily basis.I am grateful for my job as it …..fill in the blanksEven if you think you hate your job there is always things to be grateful for.Book picks for the month·         Build the life you want – Arthur Brookes and Oprah Winfrey·         Think again – Adam GrantFollow and subscribe to our podcastApple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-resilience-movement/id1493036606?uo=4Spotify:  https://open.spotify.com/show/5IqQe2AcH9d9NHVP46K328If you want to create a better life and be able to overcome challenges instead of being debilitated by adversity than you are in the right podcast, your host Donna Moulds has a wealth of experience in overcoming adversity, pushing herself beyond what she thought was possible and coming out the other end more resilient, more confident and with a zest for living life with purpose and passion. The Resilience Movement was created to help you find the tools and the determination to have the life you deserve helping you discover not only resilience beyond contemplation, it’s about discovering yourself, and developing self-love and self-worth creating more trust and belief in yourself to thrive in life, let’s face it you only have 1 life make it magical.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theresiliencemovementInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/theresiliencemovement/AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE: My podcast episode notes may contain affiliate links, if you purchase something through these links you won’t pay more, however, I may receive a commission that enables me to earn a living, keep the channel going and at times purchase a nice bottle of prosecco to celebrate your awesomeness, thanks for listening.Thank you so much for your support and understanding! Menopause - I can see the light

Season #8, Episode #3Menopause, I can see the light. This podcast is in no way advice for what you should do, I am not a medical doctor nor any kind of specialist in menopause, this is only my journey and I want to share hoping you may feel less alone in this journey.  These 2 years of menopause have been horrendous to say the least, from moments of rage, to being in tears in a corporate meeting, I felt like a crazy person. Anxiety hitting me like never before and bouts of such severe depression I wanted to drive my car off the road. After much deliberation and trying everything possible, I have started on estradiol and progesterone, and I feel like a normal person again only after 16 days on the new regime. Now the tablet is the solution it's not a quick fix, it's still up to me to eat well, sleep well, and don’t drink alcohol or if you do it's minimal and only occasionally. I take more vitamins than I thought possible and take magnesium daily.I feel like a walking health food shop, I feel joy again, and I am laughing again (always at myself) and I am pretty certain my family feel like they can breathe around me again. It was truly awful for them just as it was for me.Book picks for the month·         The Galveston Diet – Dr Mary Claire Haver·         Start with Why – Simon SenekFollow and subscribe to our podcastApple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-resilience-movement/id1493036606?uo=4Spotify:  https://open.spotify.com/show/5IqQe2AcH9d9NHVP46K328If you want to create a better life and be able to overcome challenges instead of being debilitated by adversity than you are in the right podcast, your host Donna Moulds has a wealth of experience in overcoming adversity, pushing herself beyond what she thought was possible and coming out the other end more resilient, more confident and with a zest for living life with purpose and passion. The Resilience Movement was created to help you find the tools and the determination to have the life you deserve helping you discover not only resilience beyond contemplation, it’s about discovering yourself, and developing self love and self worth creating more trust and belief in yourself to thrive in life, lets face it you only have 1 life make it magical.Follow us on:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theresiliencemovementInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/theresiliencemovement/AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE: My podcast episode notes may contain affiliate links, if you purchase something through these links you won’t pay more, however I may receive a commission that enables me to earn a living, keep the channel going and at times purchase a nice bottle of prosecco to celebrate you awesome listeners.Thank you so much for your support and understanding! Self Discovery Occurs in Stillness

Season #7, Episode #1Self Discovery Occurs in Stillness – Donna MouldsSo excited to start off 2022 and I want to share some of what I do to kick of the year on the right foot. Journaling can be very therapeutic and can help get the crap out of your head and onto the pages where you can decipher what’s happening. The only way to truly reflect and find what is inside is to be alone and still long enough to think about what you really want this one life to look like.I start with reflections on what has gone, not wallowing, simply reflection, I then move into what I am truly grateful for especially looking at the year that has gone what am I most grateful for and I know for some it will be that I am grateful this year is over, and that’s perfect for you.I then start writing my intentions for the up coming year in all aspects of my life, career, family, relationships, all if it. I build a clear picture of my intention so I can cement that and stay on track especially in challenging times.I then look to my future and plan this out and stay aligned to my values.Remember we are all resilient beyond what we contemplate is possible.Book picks for the month·         Set Boundaries, find peace – Nedra Glover Tawwab·         The Arc of Love – Esther PerelFollow and subscribe to our podcastApple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-resilience-movement/id1493036606?uo=4Spotify:  https://open.spotify.com/show/5IqQe2AcH9d9NHVP46K328If you want to create a better life and be able to overcome challenges instead of being debilitated by adversity than you are in the right podcast, your host Donna Moulds has a wealth of experience in overcoming adversity, pushing herself beyond what she thought was possible and coming out the other end more resilient, more confident and with a zest for living life with purpose and passion. The Resilience Movement was created to help you find the tools and the determination to have the life you deserve helping you discover not only resilience beyond contemplation, it’s about discovering yourself, and developing self love and self worth creating more trust and belief in yourself to thrive in life, lets face it you only have 1 life make it magical.Follow us on:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theresiliencemovementInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/theresiliencemovement/Website: www.theresiliencemovement.com.au Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...

Step through into 2022 with a plan

You may be curious about the title, however I want to remind you that we have stepped through a lot over the past 2 years and 2022 is just around the corner, so its time to step though with a plan. See the light in the darkeness

Right now here in Australia we are going through another lock down and its easy to get caught up in the crazy negative spiral, however I want you to think about what you can control and how you can fill your own cup to stay in a better frame of mind."Freedom is of the mind" is something Archie Williams said when he was asked how he survived being locked away, incarcerated for 37 years of his life, falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit. he used music to see light in the darknessIn this podcast I want to remind you of what you can control, the choices you can still make regardless of what other people are doing and decisions that are being made and are directly impacting you and your loved one's. I want you to think about how you can take care of your own mental health, fill your own cup and how you can still be grateful for those little things that can make a big difference. My hope is that you will see light in the darkness.Support the showThe Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:Psychological readiness and emotional regulationIdentity, responsibility, and role transitionLeadership behaviour and cultural impactSustained performance without burnoutWhat it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changesThis is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process. The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.New episodes released regularly.Follow & Connect🌐 Website: https://theresiliencemovement.com.au 🎧 Apple Podc...
