And this year, coming off a summer of ‘I don’t know’, I'm sharing the reset I’ve done the last few years - with some new added clarity steps. The Fall Reset Workbook & Guide combines my love for purging what’s not serving us, refocusing on actual self-care, and the concept of 'tiny experiments' over rigid goal setting. (Members of The Haven, let me know what you think of the guide! It was in your email this week ☺️)Click here to get your instant downloadWhether it's through spiritual resets, energy audits, imaginative play, or physical space cleanups, this reset guide is designed to help you find clarity and move forward in a way that feels truly right for you. Crying & Throwing Up: Let’s Talk About The Fear In Getting Visible

Thank you Kristi Keller 🇨🇦, Sarah, and the other almost 3 dozen people who came to hear us yap & think & wonder & challenge & f****n’ LAUGH for an hour! This week’s live with Dre Beltrami was, per usual, so much fun and the convo was SO important. Visibility - getting visible for your business, brand, whatever - is not everyone cup of tea. And for so many it’s more like a cup of anxiety. BUT if getting visible is something you truly what you want to do, no matter the reason, you have to just to do what Melinda Mae did in the Shel Silverstein poem (thank you to the wonderful person who helped me remember the name!). You take one small bite after another until you’ve eaten the whole damn whale. (I can’t find my book, it’s really bugging me, but here’s the poem & illustrations) Melinda Maeby Shel SilversteinHave you heard of tiny Melinda Mae,Who ate a monstrous whale? She thought she could,She said she would,So she started in right at the tail. And everyone said,'You're much too small,'But that didn't bother Melinda at all,She took little bites and she chewed very slow,Just like a little girl should......and eighty-nine years later she ate that whaleBecause she said she would! ! !Getting visible means simply doing the thing that scares you one little bit at a time until it’s not as scary any more. Until you conquered your whale. And now I need someone to tell me I’m not alone in my childhood love of Shel Silverstein! We read Where The Sidewalk Ends every night before bed for years. These groups can act as a support system, providing camaraderie and advice. The Weight of Responsibility: I discuss the heavy burden of being solely responsible for the success or failure of your business and how this can contribute to feelings of loneliness.Lack of Immediate Support: Entrepreneurship can be particularly lonely for those without immediate support from family and friends. I emphasize the importance of finding a community that understands and supports your journey.Burnout and Creativity Loss: I share my experience with burnout and how it was linked to my loneliness. Recognizing the need for support and community was crucial in overcoming this challenge.Strategies to Combat Loneliness:Professional Networking Groups: I encourage listeners to search for and join professional networking groups, both online and in-person, to find like-minded entrepreneurs.Finding a Mentor: Having a mentor who is further along in their entrepreneurial journey can provide invaluable support and guidance.Seeking Professional Help: If loneliness leads to burnout or other mental health concerns, I recommend speaking with a therapist or mental health professional.Homework (for my star students!)I invite listeners who have experienced loneliness in their entrepreneurial endeavors to contact me via Instagram, DM, or email. I discuss how I've learned to embrace this period for stillness and preparation rather than rushing into new launches or projects.🌱In this episode:What is the "Seed in the Snow" mindset?January (or any month, day, hour you choose) can be the perfect time for recalibration. The importance of planning over immediate action.Reflecting vs. rushing – finding the balance for better outcomes. Why big business launches might need to wait.Reestablishing routines and order in your life and home.Prioritizing self-care and health in the new year. How can the family get involved and benefit from this mindset?I also touch on the importance of self-care, especially as I navigate my recent Lupus diagnosis, and how my family has adopted this mindset, benefiting from the calm and structure it brings.I encourage listeners to consider adopting a "Seed in the Snow" mindset in their own lives, whether for a month, a weekend, or just an afternoon, to build a strong foundation for the year ahead.4 Key Aspects of My “Seed in the Snow” Approach:Prioritizing planning over immediate action.Reflecting on ideas rather than hastily executing them.Avoiding big business launches in January.Reestablishing routines and order in both my personal life and business___________________________🔗 Connect with Katie:TikTok - @katiekastnermarketingInstagram - @katiemkmarketingBlog - www.katiekastner.com👉 Follow The Marketing and the Margins Podcast for more tips on marketing, mindset, and mastering the balance of life as an entrepreneur. And if you found value in this episode, please consider sharing it with other entrepreneurs who could benefit from these insights!
