What Celebrity Chef James Barry Wants You to Know | Heather Aardema
Celebrity chef James Barry has a habit of opening people's pantries. What he finds is almost always the same; it's overstocked shelves, duplicate items, and food choices that don't match how people actually want to feel. In this conversation, he shares how kitchen and food clutter affect your health and human potential, and how simplifying what comes in your home can be the change that massively improves your life. From one-use gadgets to "healthy" convenience foods, this episode challenges what we've been taught and will help you see why, and what to do next. We talk about why this happens, the question that keeps people stuck, and one of my favorite tools to help move forward with a lot more clarity, honesty and less self-induced pressure. What Plants Teach Us About Order, Compassion, and Decluttering with Jennifer Payeur | Heather Aardema
Did you know that plants sense, respond, and regulate in real time? In this episode, I sit down with Jennifer Payeur, founder of Nature Provides, to explore what plant intelligence can teach us about clutter, overwhelm, and blocked flow—both in the body and in the home. Jennifer brings a grounded, practical perspective to plant wisdom. Through her work with plant stem cell remedies, education, and storytelling, she helps people understand how plants support detoxification, cellular repair, and resilience when the body is overloaded. Her approach isn't about adding more - it's about restoring clarity by addressing congestion at the root level. That lens offers powerful insight into why clutter builds, why decisions stall, and how regulation - not force - creates order. The Kitchen Clutter You Don't See - but Your Body Feels with Mira Dessy | Heather Aardema
I go to my grocery store once a week. My husband, Randy, also makes a weekly grocery run. There are four of us - and food is where a significant portion of our money goes. Do we eat everything we buy? We're getting much better. When I shop, one of my teenagers always comes with me. I have them read ingredient labels out loud because the print is tiny - and honestly, because it tells us a lot. If they struggle to pronounce what's on the label, I take that as a signal there's probably a better option. We already know food is one of the largest sources of waste in landfills. What we don't talk about as much is the clutter inside processed food itself - ingredients that burden the body, cloud decision-making, and drain energy. In this episode, I chat with Mira Dessy, also known as The Ingredient Guru, to talk through what to keep, what to question, and what to let go of in the kitchen. This conversation is about creating a kitchen that works with your body instead of against it. If food decisions feel heavy or confusing - and you're ready for a lighter, more supportive way forward - this episode is for you. Why Clutter Impacts Cellular Health (and How to Fix It) with Dr. Monisha Bhanote | Heather Aardema
Clutter isn't just something you see. It's something your body processes. Your cells are always responding to your environment. Including your home. In this episode, Heather Aardema sits down with Dr. Monisha Bhanote, a five-time board-certified physician and author of The Anatomy of Well-Being, to explore how physical clutter, mental overload, and chronic stress show up at the cellular level. You'll hear why clutter creates inflammation, why overwhelm is often a nervous system in survival mode, and why letting go gets easier when the body feels safe. When you understand what your system is responding to, your space can begin to shift too. This episode is for anyone who feels heavy, stuck, or worn down - and wants a lighter, more sustainable way forward. How Better Decisions Create Less Clutter | with Heather Aardema
Most people struggle with decluttering because they focus on the stuff. But what keeps them stuck is the thinking behind it. In this solo episode, How Better Decisions Create Less Clutter, Heather Aardema shares a deceptively simple question that transformed the way she declutters, decides, and lives: What were three of my best decisions this year? What began as an inability to throw away old family calendars revealed something deeper - how identity, worth, and memory can quietly turn into physical clutter. By shifting the focus from what happened to what was intentionally chosen, Heather shows how agency - not force - is what actually makes letting go possible. This episode explores why clutter often lingers long after we understand it, and how intentional decision-making can dissolve both emotional and physical buildup. When choices are made consciously, clutter loses its grip - before it even enters your home. Listen to learn how one question can reduce overwhelm, prevent future clutter, and help you live more by design - and less by default. What were three of your best decisions this year? The Freedom Shift That Makes Decluttering Easier | with Heather Aardema
Most people struggle with decluttering because they think the problem is the stuff. But the real weight usually comes from the thinking behind it. In this solo episode, The Freedom Shift That Makes Decluttering Easier, Heather Aardema shares a small moment that revealed a much bigger pattern. When she was offered a piano she didn't need and didn't have space for, her first instinct was to say yes. Not because she wanted it - but because of the story attached to saying no. That moment exposed what keeps many people stuck: obligation, guilt, and inherited "I should" thinking that quietly drives our decisions. In this episode, Heather introduces The Freedom Shift - a simple mindset tool that moves decisions out of pressure and back into personal agency. When you shift from "I should" to "I'm free to," decluttering becomes calmer, clearer, and far less exhausting. This episode is for anyone who feels stuck, conflicted, or surprised by their own reactions while decluttering - and wants a lighter, more intentional way forward. Listen to learn how changing the way you think can stop clutter before it enters your home - and make letting go feel simpler. Your Space Mirrors Your State with Helen Armstrong | Heather Aardema
Most people start decluttering by looking at their stuff. But the real clutter usually starts inside. In this episode, Heather and intuitive healer Helen Armstrong explore how unprocessed emotions, inherited patterns, and absorbed energy create the heaviness people feel in their homes and in their bodies. You'll hear why certain spaces feel overwhelming, why letting go feels harder than it "should," and why some of the emotions that rise up during decluttering don't even belong to you. When you understand what your system is holding, your space begins to shift too. This episode is for anyone who feels stuck, heavy, or confused by their own reactions - and wants a clearer, calmer way forward.
