Adaptive Biology, Not a Broken Body: Why “complicated” health issues are often intelligent responses
So many women are led to believe their body is broken when weight loss, hormones, digestion, or energy feel increasingly “complicated.” When the usual strategies stop working, the narrative quickly shifts to dysfunction, failure, or the idea that something about their body in particular, must be "broken" or "defective". But more often than not, the body isn’t malfunctioning - it’s adapting.This episode explores the difference between the broken body narrative and the reality of adaptive biology. Symptoms are not random or rebellious; they are intelligent responses to cumulative stress, restriction, under-recovery, and years of pressure placed on the system.
