The Power of Perspective: How One Belief Can Change Your Entire Life
What if the biggest thing shaping your life right now… isn’t your circumstances, your past, or even what happened to you? What if it’s the meaning you assigned to it? In today’s episode, I share the incredible true story of AJ Vaden — whose family survived a devastating 13-car pileup near Chattanooga TN when she was just a little girl. Her brothers were reportedly pronounced dead at the scene before ultimately surviving, while her parents suffered severe injuries and long recoveries.Meanwhile, AJ walked away physically unscathed. And somewhere along the way, she began interpreting that reality through a painful lens:“My brothers are the miracles.”“My story doesn’t matter.”“I’m not important.”Not because anyone told her that, but because that was the meaning she attached to the experience. That single perspective quietly shaped years of insecurity, validation-seeking, and trying to prove her worth, until one conversation changed everything. This episode will challenge you to look at your own life differently — because sometimes the event itself isn’t what keeps us stuck…It’s the interpretation. Same story. Different perspective. Different identity. Different life.If you’ve ever struggled with feeling unseen, overlooked, not enough, or questioned your purpose… this episode is for you.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODE:The powerful true story of AJ Vaden’s childhood car accident and survivalHow two people can experience the same event but walk away with completely different identitiesWhy your life is often shaped more by interpretation than circumstanceThe hidden danger of the stories we subconsciously tell ourselvesHow limiting beliefs form from painful experiencesThe identity shift that changed AJ’s entire lifeWhy perspective can either imprison you or empower youHow to begin reframing the meaning you’ve attached to your own storyThe connection between perspective, identity, purpose, and performanceWhy one belief can alter the entire direction of your lifeLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

The Genius vs. The Genius Maker: A Leadership Shift That Will Change Everything
What if the way you’re trying to lead is actually the thing holding people back? In this episode, I’m challenging a leadership instinct most of us don’t even realize we have—the need to step in, solve, fix, and prove we know what we’re doing. It feels helpful in the moment… but it might be quietly capping the potential of the people around you. We’re talking about the difference between being the genius in the room and being the one who creates genius. Because the leaders who make the biggest impact aren’t the ones with all the answers—they’re the ones who know how to draw it out of others. If you’ve ever found yourself jumping in too quickly, filling the silence, or carrying more than you should, this one will hit. And it might just change the way you show up with your kids, your clients, your team—and honestly, anyone in your life. What You Will Hear in This EpisodeThe subtle ways high-capacity people become accidental diminishersA simple but powerful question: Do people get smarter or quieter around you?The “give the pen back” concept—and why it’s harder than it soundsHow the 10% talk / 90% listen shift changes everythingThe difference between addition vs. multiplication leadershipWhy helping can sometimes create dependence (and what to do instead)A quick self-assessment to check how you’re actually showing upHow to call people up into their potential—not unknowingly hold them backThe mindset shift that will make you more impactful in every room you walk intoLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Messy Success: Real Talk for Entrepreneur Moms Chasing Big Dreams
Ever wonder what life really looks like behind the perfectly curated Instagram posts, the polished websites, or the “effortless” success stories? In this episode, I’m keeping it 100% real about what it looks like to chase big dreams while showing up as an entrepreneur, practitioner, wife, and mom. I share the mess, the chaos, and the things that don’t go right behind the scenes—because let’s be honest, success is rarely as clean as it looks online. From pivoting how I spend my time, to juggling family priorities, to trying not to let my dreams and creative contributions die just because kids are a focus, this episode dives deep into the emotional rollercoaster of doing it all. You’ll hear me tell stories about the raw, real-life moments that remind us all we’re human: like cleaning up your kid's vomit from a stomach bug, which conveniently was in the office and podcast studio, while I was supposed to be working on my new life coaching service. To recording this very podcast episode surrounded by the lingering smells of said vomit, or chasing down a lost stuffed animal in our neighborhood minutes before hitting “record.” I want you to feel seen, laugh a little, and realize that this messy, unpredictable journey is exactly what success and abundance look like in real life. There’s no testimony without a test, no message without a mess, and no success without failure. This episode is for anyone who wants to embrace the mess, stay true to their dreams, and feel less alone on the path to creating a life they love. What You’ll Hear in This Episode:The unfiltered chaos of juggling entrepreneurship, motherhood, and marriage while launching a new life coaching brand. How I pivot my time and energy to prioritize family without sacrificing my dreams.Real-life messy moments: vomit in the office, early mornings derailed, and chasing lost stuffed animals before a podcast recording. Why embracing failure, mess, and imperfection is part of building real success. How to show up for yourself and your goals even when life is messy.Encouragement for parents, dreamers, and high performers to laugh, relate, and feel less alone on the journey.LEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Why Real Transformation Can’t Be Taught: Honoring The Life & Lessons of Dr. Arlene McFarland
A week ago, I said goodbye to someone who profoundly shaped the way I understand healing, truth, and transformation. Dr. Arlene McFarland was not only my incredible therapist who graced us with her presence here on The Abundance Formula Podcast only a few episodes ago, but also a dear friend and mentor. She was a guide, a truth-seeker, and someone who deeply embodied the principles she helped others discover for themselves. What made Arlene extraordinary wasn’t just what she taught—it was how she lived. Even while facing cancer, she refused to let circumstances define her identity. She chose her energy intentionally, continued serving others long after most would have stopped, and modeled what it truly means to be an impactful, powerful and transformative leader. In this episode, I’m honoring Arlene by sharing the lessons she lived out so beautifully—lessons about identity, truth, intentional energy, and the courage to trust the process of real transformation. My hope is that these reflections will inspire you to carry even a fraction of these qualities into your own life. If we do, her impact will continue rippling through the world in ways we may never fully see, but that’s the beauty of a life well lived — It keeps transforming people… long after you’re gone.WHAT YOU'LL HEAR IN THIS EPISODE•4 power lessons and ways of being I learned from my time with Dr. Arlene McFarland•Why choosing your emotional energy intentionally can change how you navigate life’s challenges•The powerful difference between your circumstances and your identity•What Arlene modeled about living with purpose—even while facing serious illness•Why the most powerful transformation is experiential, not instructional•What it means to relinquish control and trust in the healing process•Why great guides don’t try to fix people—they help them discover truth•How having someone walk with you through truth—without judgment—can change everythingLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Do Real Superheroes Exist? How to Find Your Unique Gifts
Have you ever wondered if real superheroes exist? My youngest daughter Saylor asked me that question, and our conversation opened up a whole new way of thinking about identity, gifts, and purpose. In today’s episode, I break down how discovering your God-given identity is the first step to uncovering the superpowers He’s placed inside of you. We talk about noticing the small clues in your everyday life—those natural abilities and joys that come without effort—and how they can lead to powerful “I am” statements that reveal who you really are. I also share examples of how to work backward from your natural strengths to uncover your true identity with practice and prayer. This episode is an accessible introduction to identity discovery. You don’t have to know it all or have it perfectly figured out—just start noticing your gifts, your impact, and the ways God is calling you to serve others. By the end, you’ll see that being a superhero isn’t about a cape—it’s about becoming who God created you to be.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEHow a simple question from my daughter sparked a big lesson about real-life superheroes. What it means to discover your God-given identity and superpowers.A simple “on-ramp” process to start uncovering your unique gifts today. How small clues in your natural abilities can lead to a powerful “I am” statement that will change the way you live your lifeWhy serving and helping others with the gift of who you truly are is the ultimate way to be a superhero.LEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Identity Speaks Louder Than Limitation: How to See Purpose, Perspective, and Possibility
What you were born with. What happened to you. What you struggle with. So many of us mistake these things for our identity. In this episode, I share why identity—not diagnosis, logic, or circumstance—gets the final say. Through the stories of Jesse Findling on American Idol and Paralympic runner Blake Leeper, this conversation explores how perspective shapes possibility, why your environment shouldn’t define you, and how the parts of your story that feel messy or limiting may actually be where your purpose comes alive. You’ll hear why calling doesn’t wait for you to be fixed, how the perspective you choose determines the opportunities you’re even able to see, and why the very things you’ve been tempted to overlook or discount in your life may be the exact places your identity and purpose are trying to speak the loudest.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEWhy we often confuse circumstances, struggles, and diagnoses with identityThe powerful contrast between what the world predicts and what identity decidesHow Jesse Findling’s stutter—and Blake Leeper’s lack of legs—became context, not conclusionsWhy your environment should never define you—or strip you of who you areThe difference between waiting to be “fixed” and stepping fully into your callingHow a simple perspective shift can radically expand the opportunities you’re able to seeWhy the messy, inconvenient parts of your story may be what make you uniquely valuableLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Healing Pain at the Root: Rewiring the Brain for Peace, Love, and Abundance with Dr. Arlene McFarland
What if your pain isn’t a problem to fix—but a story asking to be understood? In this episode, I sit down with Arlene McFarland—wife, mother, and Marriage & Family Therapist of 27 years—for a conversation that goes far beyond mere "talk therapy." We explore healing as a process of discovery, not instruction, and why true transformation can’t be told… it has to be experienced. Arlene shares her personal journey into the work she was called to do, how God has led her both before and after her cancer diagnosis, and what she’s learned about time, purpose, presence and love along the way. We unpack EMDR, emotional agility, false beliefs, and the subtle but powerful shift that happens when we stop asking “What’s wrong with me?” and start asking “What is true?”If you’ve ever felt stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by unresolved pain, or hungry for a fuller, more abundant life—this conversation will meet you right where you are.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEArlene’s personal backstory and how faith and calling shaped her 27-year career as a therapistHow her cancer diagnosis transformed the way she understands time, presence, and purposeWhat EMDR is, why it’s so powerful, and how to know when it’s the right toolHow Arlene guides people through healing without forcing outcomes Why finding the root of pain matters more than managing symptoms and results a in permanent changeWhy lasting transformation must be discovered—not taught or explainedThe greatest obstacle that keeps people from living the life they were meant forHow to develop emotional agility instead of constantly reacting to lifeLetting go of old beliefs and false identities that once felt protectiveThe profound shift from asking “What’s wrong with me?” to “What os actually true?”Tools for separating thoughts from the thinkerThe role of honesty—with ourselves and with God—in true healingPractical ways to begin healing even when you feel overwhelmed and unsure where to startWhat living an abundant life really means—and how to begin building one nowLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Three Words That Can Change How You Show Up Every Day
Most days, real change starts with awareness, not effort. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple daily practice built around three intentional words — words that act as anchors throughout your day and quietly reshape how you respond, decide, and show up. This isn’t about overhauling your life or setting new goals. It’s about creating repeat moments of awareness that change your trajectory in real time. If you’ve been craving more alignment, clarity, or consistency — without adding another heavy “practice” to your plate — this episode will meet you exactly where you are.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEWhy awareness, not effort, is the real engine of lasting changeHow choosing three intentional words acts as daily anchors for your behavior and mindsetThe science of why repeated, small moments of awareness shape identity faster than big goalsHow to interrupt old patterns in real time — without force or willpowerPractical ways to notice when you’re off-track and bring yourself back to alignmentWhy this practice builds self-trust and consistency, even when life feels chaoticHow to create a simple, sustainable routine that compounds over timeReal-life examples of showing up differently in parenting, work, leadership, and personal growthLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Stop Setting Goals — Build Habits That Actually Stick
In the last few episodes, we’ve delved deeply into helping you know who you’re becoming — now it’s time to build the habits that support it. In this episode, we’re not talking about goal-setting, we’re talking about the systems and action steps that actually make goals possible. Because if you want a new outcome, you need new behaviors — or stronger versions of the ones you already have. This conversation is about building habits that support the life you’re moving toward, without burning out or relying on constant motivation. You’ll learn how to anchor new behaviors to your identity, why consistency always beats intensity, and how small, intentional habit shifts — even just 1% at a time — compound into massive, sustainable growth. This episode is about becoming the kind of person who naturally lives out the goals you’re setting.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEWhy identity always comes before habits, and habits always come before resultsThe mindset shift from “What do I want to achieve?” to “Who do I want to become?”Why a goal without habits is just a wishHow consistency beats intensity (and why high performers don’t live in burnout mode)The power of improving just 1% at a time — and how that compounds over weeks, months, and yearsHow to raise awareness of your current habits before trying to change themSimple ways to audit your good and bad habits by life category or valueHow to use habit stacking to make new behaviors feel automaticReal-life examples of anchoring habits to routines you already haveWhy your environment matters more than willpowerHow to lower friction for good habits and raise friction for bad onesHow the people you surround yourself with influence your behavior more than motivationWhy accountability — personal and social — accelerates habit changeLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

How to Find Your True Identity And Release False Versions of Yourself
In the last several episodes, we’ve talked about growth, expansion, raising your standards, and stepping into your highest self—but none of that can fully land without addressing the foundation it all rests on: your identity. As you step into a new year, true transformation won’t come from doing more or fixing yourself—it will come from uncovering who you were before anything happened to you. In this episode, we explore the three types of identity most people live from, how false and constructed identities keep us functional but not free, and why truth-telling is the gateway to real healing. I’ll also guide you through a powerful confession and truth meditation designed to help release identities you may be holding—knowingly or unknowingly—and open space for your true identity to emerge. This episode is an invitation to make 2026 your most transformative year yet—from the inside out.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEWhy identity—not habits, goals, or productivity—is the true cornerstone of growth and expansionThe three types of identity people embody:False Identity (formed by experiences, environments, labels, or what happened to you)Constructed Identity (the version of you built to survive, succeed, control, or cope)True Identity (who you were before anything happened to you—rooted in truth, not behavior)Why constructed identities aren’t bad—but can quietly keep you stuck being functional versus being freeWhat “true confession” really means—and why truth-telling creates peace, even when it’s uncomfortableHow avoiding truth keeps trauma and limiting beliefs locked in the nervous systemA simple explanation of how truth access relates to healing and reprocessing (inspired by EMDR principles)A guided confession / truth-telling meditation & prayer to help release false identitiesHow this practice works whether or not you believe in God—framed as an honest experiment with truthWhy openness, curiosity, and honesty alone create real physical, mental, and neurological shiftsHow repeated truth practices can gently dismantle the protective fortresses you’ve built over timeLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

How to Stop Existing and Start Living
Are you living your life… or just existing? In this episode, I’m sharing a simple daily practice designed to pull you out of autopilot and back into truly conscious living—where you notice, learn, and experience your life instead of just moving through it. Inspired by the book, Living Fearless by Jamie Winship, this daily exercise isn’t about doing more—it’s about noticing more. I’ll guide you through a 3-part daily practice to: learn something new about yourself, discover something new about someone else, and uncover something new about God and the universe. I'll also talk about how engaging with awe doesn’t just make life feel bigger—it rewires your brain and challenges your existing mental models. Awe isn't just amazement--it's cognitive expansion and specifically engages the area of the brain that decides what in life really matters. This episode will help you reconnect with life, expand your perspective, and start living rather than merely existing. Oscar Wilde once said, “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” You are not one of those people. So let's get to work!WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEA simple daily practice to get off autopilot and feel alive againHow learning about yourself, others, and the Universe rewires your brain for meaningWhy awe is more than amazement—it expands your thinking, motivation, and perspectiveHow activating your brain’s salience network helps you recognize what truly matters and the crucial role experiencing AWE plays in this network Real-world examples of awe to inspire your daily practiceLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

How High Performers Create Necessity Without Burning Out
Most people think success comes from motivation or discipline… but high performers know better. In this episode, I’m breaking down how to build identity-driven necessity—the kind that pulls you toward your goals without burning you out. You’ll learn the difference between internal necessity and external necessity, plus how high performers turn both into momentum instead of pressure. We’ll also dig into the real reasons burnout happens and I’ll walk you through the framework I created called, the “North Star Reset” to realign your goals, reconnect to meaning, and clear energy leaks. I’ll also introduce you to my “Burnout Compass” so you can pinpoint exactly what’s draining your energy. Planted, Not Buried: Choosing Light When the World Feels Dark
Today’s podcast episode is in honor of those impacted by 9/11, as well as the violent events that have transpired this week alone. When life feels heavy and the world seems dark, it’s easy to believe you’ve been buried. But what would happen if you shifted your perspective of the darkness — What if, instead of being buried in a dark place, you've actually been planted? How we interpret the darkness dictates how we respond to it and our ability to take something intended for evil and turn it into the beginning of something deeper, stronger, and more purposeful. Darkness doesn’t always mean the end. Sometimes it’s where the most powerful growth begins and activates us into our next level of expansion in the fight for good over evil. This episode is about shifting your perspective — and finding hope when all hope might seem lost. WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODE:Why how we interpret the darkness mattersThe difference between being buried and being plantedThe process of how seeds grow and what that teaches us about resilience and purpose in dark timesA powerful perspective shift that turns evil into opportunity for goodPractical ways to choose light when the world feels darkEncouragement from Scripture and timeless wisdom to strengthen your hopeLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Strong Summer Mini Series Part 5: Recovery Hacks to Build Muscle & Burn Fat Faster
Welcome to the final installment of the Strong Summer Mini Series! We’ve walked through hydration, nutrition, protein, exercise goals and more—but today we wrap it all up with one of the most overlooked (yet most powerful) pillars of strength: Recovery. Think you need to be in the gym 7 days a week to see results? Think again. In this episode, I break down why muscle growth actually happens when you rest—not when you train. You’ll learn exactly how long different muscle groups need to recover, how to balance intensity with rest days, and how recovery habits can completely change your progress this summer and beyond. Plus, I’ll share my favorite recovery strategies (some you may not expect!) that will help you keep showing up strong without burning out. What You’ll Hear in This Episode:Why your muscles need at least 48 hours of rest to grow and repairThe smartest training splits (upper/lower, push/pull/legs) to recover while still hitting muscle groups twice weeklyHow overtraining and excess cardio can backfire by burning muscle, raising cortisol, slowing metabolism, and stalling fat lossThe role of deep sleep in growth hormone release, muscle protein synthesis, and balanced hunger hormonesHow poor sleep increases cravings, lowers workout quality, and disrupts fat-burning hormonesTips to reset your circadian rhythm in 2–4 weeks for better energy and recoveryWhy protein + fast-digesting carbs post-workout supercharge recovery and glycogen replenishmentThe difference between recovery protein (like 1st Phorm Phormula-1) and meal replacement shakesWhole food carb options vs. fast-digesting supplements for post-workout fuelingTop supplements for recovery: EAAs, creatine, glutamine, omega-3sNatural sleep aids like magnesium, melatonin, herbal teas, and Core-2Link to my recommendation for Post-Workout Protein Powder:1stPhorm Formula 1 Protein PowderLink to my recommendation for Post-Workout Fast Digesting Carb:1stPhorm IgnitionEssential Amino Acids (EAAs)—especially the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) to look for in a Post Workout Protein Shake/Powder:-Leucine – the most important trigger for muscle protein synthesis. It “flips the switch” that tells your body to start rebuilding muscle.-Isoleucine – helps with glucose uptake into muscle and also aids recovery.-Valine – supports endurance and reduces fatigue.-Glutamine – aids recovery and reduces muscle breakdown.-Other EAAs (lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, histidine, tryptophan) – your body can’t make these, but they’re all required to actually build new muscle tissue.LEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Mission Possible: Tom Cruise's Secret to Tackling Massive Goals
In the buzz surrounding the latest Mission Impossible release, one unexpected interview moment with Tom Cruise stood out to me — not for the stunts he pulled, but for the mindset he shared around setting and achieving big goals. Instead of just the typical “work backwards from your vision” advice, Cruise offered a grounded, grace-filled approach; one that honors the learning curve and embraces the humility of starting at the crawl, no matter how far you’ve come. He shared the exact method he uses to go from crawling to sprinting (sometimes literally off a building). It’s simple, powerful, and removes the pressure to have it all figured out. We’ll break down the difference between your action list and your learning list — and how giving yourself permission to grow might actually be the key to finally making your own “mission” possible.WHAT YOU'LL HEAR IN THIS EPISODE:Quick recap of my Memorial Day weekend and how we reflected on the massive sacrifice, bravery and resilience of those who have served our country to allow us the freedoms we enjoyHow the release of the last installment of the massively successful Mission Impossible series spurred a very interesting conversation between Tom Cruise and an Interviewer about how Cruise breaks down big goals in order to achieve themThe exact method of how Cruise breaks down his big goals and the phases he expects to go through in reaching themHow his approach is different and more empowering to me than other methods I've heard beforeLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstagram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

GET YOUR HOPES UP: Disappointment Isn’t Dangerous—Settling Is
Why have we been taught that lowering our expectations is the key to avoiding pain? And what if that mindset is actually robbing us of the fullest version of life, joy, purpose and possibility? In this episode, we dive into the idea that it’s time to rewrite one of the most damaging pieces of advice we’ve been giving ourselves and our future generations: “Don’t get your hopes up.” This cultural conditioning has taught us to avoid uncomfortable emotions and inadvertently caused us to function at a lower frequency. In this episode, we’ll uncover the power of allowing ourselves and our kids to feel disappointment and learn proper skill sets to turn “negative” outcomes into stepping stones. We’ll also talk about how to raise our frequency by aligning with hope, not fear and recognize that disappointment isn’t dangerous, settling is.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODEWhy we need to stop fearing disappointment and start embracing the full benefits of hopeThe cultural conditioning that has taught us to avoid uncomfortable emotionsThe real reason we tell kids (and ourselves) not to get their hopes upHow hope operates at a higher frequency—and why that mattersThe power of allowing ourselves and our kids to feel disappointment and learn proper skill sets to turn “negative” outcomes into stepping stonesHow to raise your frequency by aligning with hope, not fearLEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!!!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-abundance-formula-podcast/id1343007048Related Links for Jeana OldhamInstgram: @jeana_oldhamFacebook: Jeana OldhamWebsite: https://oldhamstrong.com

Fixing the Basket: How Healing, Though Painful, Leads to Abundant Fruit
In this episode, we dive into the power and pain of healing and the critical role it plays in us reaching our full potential. My word for the year has been “fruitful” and while being fruitful is rewarding, it also comes with increased weight. I share my journey of realizing that in order to carry even more abundance, I needed to “fix the holes” in my metaphorical baskets—acknowledging past traumas and fully committing to the recovery process. We’ll explore how the pain of recovery serves a deeper purpose and how to avoid resenting the process of healing and growth. We’ll also unpack the difference between “microwave success” and true abundance, as well as discuss the shift in perspective needed to see that digging up old wounds isn’t breaking you down, but putting you back together. Finally, we’ll explore how to avoid the comparison trap and fully embrace your becoming season and the next level fruitfulness you were destined for.Reflection on how a fruitful season can also be an effortful seasonMy realization that if I wanted to be able to carry even more fruitfulness, I was going to need to “fix the holes” in my metaphorical baskets, or in other words, work on healing past traumas that were limiting my potential for more abundanceCommitting to weekly therapy and the healing processHow the pain of recovery serves a purpose How to not resent the process of healing and growthHow “microwave success” is different than true success and abundanceDiving into the quote, “To commit yourself to the process means you respect the artistry of the calling.” -T.D. Don't Skip The Curveballs
This week I had to overcome quite a few obstacles and in doing so, it got me wondering where we came up with the phrase, “life’s curveballs.” I dove into this topic and found an amazing, now well-known article by three professors in the American Journal of Physics called, “How to Hit Home Runs: Optimum baseball bat swing parameters for maximum range trajectories.” In the article, they talk about what exactly a curveball pitch is in baseball, why they’re so hard to hit and why coaches were telling players to skip the curve balls, even if they ended up being strikes. Coaches believed up to that point that it was the fastball, the more predictable pitches that got the most homeruns…the study proved them wrong. It was the curveballs that yielded the most return when contacted effectively. We dive into this life lesson and how to not only play the curveballs, but anticipate them, prepare to hit them and aim for hitting in those extra runs!WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODE:What a curveball pitch is and why it’s the origin of what we all like to call “the curveballs of life”I take you through a well-known article by 3 professors in the American Journal of Physics called, “How to Hit Home Runs: Optimum baseball bat swing parameters for maximum range trajectories” and why this study is so importantThe key to hitting a curveball and how this translates to you overcoming whatever obstacles you might face in your lifeWhy we should aim to not let the curveballs go, but practice playing the curveballRelated Links/Follow UsThe Abundance Formula InstagramWebsite: Oldham StrongFacebookFacebookInstagram**Join The Abundance Formula Community FB Group for More in Depth Interaction and Freebie Tools to Build an Abundant Life!**LEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!The Abundance Formula on Apple Podcasts

Lastly, I’ll share my “word for the year” and why doing this and choosing several “focus points” for the year have been helpful as opposed to making a bunch of resolutions.WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IN THIS EPISODE:6 focus points for 2024 that will change the outcome of your yearWhat it means to be in “separation season” and why this will uplevel your 20243 questions to ask yourself to clear your blocksA pivotal analogy for crushing seasons and how this helped me through 2023Making moves even if the plan is not fully clearWhy staying laser focused on 1-2 main goals in a particular area is the way to goMy “word for the year” and why I like doing this and choosing several “focus points” for the year as opposed to making a bunch of resolutionsRelated Links/Follow UsThe Abundance Formula InstagramWebsite: Oldham StrongFacebookFacebookInstagram**Join The Abundance Formula Community FB Group for More in Depth Interaction and Freebie Tools to Build an Abundant Life!**LEAVE US A 5 STAR REVIEW!The Abundance Formula on Apple Podcasts
