“Doing everything right… but still can't get lean enough.”

Jon has been training for 15 years. He tracks his calories, hits his protein, plans his cuts, and sticks to the plan. And yet he's still never been able to get as lean as he wants...Which means he's always stopped his bulks short of the time needed to grow enough muscle to make a difference.Sound familiar? In this week’s episode, we dig into why.Because this isn’t a motivation problem, nor a knowledge problem either, it’s what happens when you’re doing almost everything right, but missing a few key pieces that are holding you back.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

“The curse of knowing too much.”

This week’s podcast is about a frustrating place many people eventually reach.Ryan, 47, a father of four, is on a mission he calls Project 50.He started strength training three years ago and has done an incredible job transforming his health, dropping 30 lbs — which I'd estimate means 40 lbs of fat loss and 10 lbs of muscle gain. Bravo! But now he’s stuck. Not because he doesn’t know what to do, but arguably, because he knows (and consumes) too much, and he can't decide.Should he keep cutting? Start a lean bulk? Take a break?Every option seems right… and wrong… at the same time.In this episode, I help Ryan move forward from his decision paralysis. We talk about:Is it time to purge his algorithm of fitness content? How to decide between cutting and bulking (without overthinking it).Why the feelings about your body will never fully line up.The mistake that causes most people to spin their wheels for months or years. And how to make a decision he's actually stick to.If you’ve ever felt stuck and unable to pick a direction, this episode is for you.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

“How Little Can I Do and Still Maintain?”

This week’s podcast covers situations that I am sure many busy working dads will recognize in themselves.Today's guest, Sayer, is now fit, lean, and athletic. He lifts, rock climbs, officiates high-level sports, works a demanding remote IT job, and shuttles two very active kids between practices and games. From the outside, there’s nothing "wrong."In the last three years, he has escaped the skinny fat trap by cutting and dropping 20 lbs of fat, and then successfully bulking for 14 months after that. But he now finds himself gaining and losing the same 5–10 lbs, struggling for motivation, and wondering whether to push forward, pull back, or simply protect what he’s built.Instead of forcing another bulk or cut, we explore a different idea:What if we turn his next phase into a 6-month experiment to find how little he can do while maintaining his physique?------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

    “I Weighed 260 Pounds at 13”

This week’s podcast is one of my favorite kinds of conversations.Shelby, 41 from Oklahoma, describes himself as a "regular guy with regular guy problems." In reality, he’s a single dad of four boys who’s lost close to 90 pounds, rebuilt his health, and designed his life so progress happens by default — not through white-knuckle discipline. This isn’t a transformation story driven by obsession. It’s about preventing bad decisions before they happen, making workouts unavoidable, and redefining success as the ability to say yes when life offers something physical. In this episode, we talk about:Why environment beats willpower every time. How Shelby trains seven days a week without burning out.The power of "non-negotiable" routines. Why food rules can work better than food restraint. And how long-term fitness is really about capability, not leanness.Let’s get into it.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"Strong Enough for the Slopes Into My 60s"

Today I’m joined by Paul. He is 50, lives in Switzerland, has a demanding corporate job, and is an avid alpine skier. He’s also someone who’s stayed naturally lean most of his life — abs included — without much effort. This conversation is about what happens when that natural leanness becomes the thing holding you back. We talk about rebuilding after repeated injuries, training for robustness rather than aesthetics, and why deliberately gaining weight — even losing your abs — can be a smart investment if your real goal is staying strong, athletic, and injury-free for the next 10 to 15 years.Let’s get into it.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"The Diet Isn’t Over When the Diet Ends"

Today’s conversation is with Don Selkirk. Don is 52, has trained consistently for decades, and has a physique most people would be more than happy with. But like many experienced trainees, a small visual cue in the mirror was enough to trigger a familiar thought: “I should probably tighten this up before it gets away from me.”In this episode, I help Don plan his cut to trim the 15 lbs of fat he’s slowly gained over the past year, and then return to maintenance in a way that minimizes intrusions into his life, so he can maintain it forever.Let’s get into it.Relevant links:https://rippedbody.com/finding-calorie-maintenance/https://rippedbody.com/diet-break------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"I Know What to Do… So Why Am I Still Stuck?"

This week’s podcast is for the people who already know what to do, but can’t seem to make it stick.Nico (42), originally from Venice, Italy, but now living in Austin, has a demanding career, trains regularly, eats well, and stays lean year-round. From the outside, he’s doing everything "right."Yet for the last five years, he’s felt quietly stuck — unable to push past the same plateau, unable to regain the muscle he once had, and slowly losing motivation despite having all the knowledge. This wasn’t a conversation about macros or programming. It was about why progress stalls when life gets full — travel, work, relationships, comfort — and how losing momentum often has less to do with discipline and more to do with belief, tracking, and commitment. If you’ve ever thought, "I should be further along than this," this one will hit close to home.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"My Old Physique Is Holding Me Back"

Today, I’m speaking with Jon. He’s a Brit who used to be ripped at 50. — That was when he lived in Australia. But for the past 7 years, he’s been back in the UK, and his fitness has gone downhill. He’s heavier than ever, and coming off a knee replacement, a fused foot, and months of disrupted training. The gap between what he remembers and what he sees in the mirror is messing with his head.In this episode, we unpack a problem I see all the time in experienced trainees:When your past best physique becomes your worst comparison point.Jon’s notunfit. He’s disciplined, consistent, and still training hard. But clinging to the idea that he should look the same at 55 as he did at 50 has sapped his motivation. We talk through how to reset expectations without lowering standards, why rushing to get his abs back is the wrong move, and how leaning out first will make everything else easier — from joint health to cardio to long-term consistency.Links mentioned:https://www.strongerbyscience.com/research-spotlight-metabolic-rate/https://rippedbody.com/diet-progress-tracking------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

“Dr. Eric Helms and Andy Morgan on The Muscle and Strength Pyramid books (3rd editions)”

If fitness feels more confusing now than it did five or ten years ago, you’re not imagining it.This week on the podcast, I’m joined by **Dr. Eric Helms** to talk about *why* we wrote the Muscle & Strength Pyramid books in the first place, and why, a decade later, we decided to completely rewrite them for the third editions. This isn’t a marketing episode. It’s a conversation about information overload, false precision, and why most people aren’t stuck because they lack effort — they’re stuck because they’re trying to do too many things at once.In this episode, we discuss:- Why fitness advice has become noisier, not clearer.- How the Pyramid frameworks help you filter what matters from what doesn’t.- Why flexibility done right *improves* results instead of watering them down.- The difference between “progressive overload” and actual progression.- How to train, eat, and live without sacrificing relationships or sanity. We also walk through what’s new in the third editions. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by fitness content, this episode will help you zoom out, calm down, and focus on the levers that actually move the needle.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

Once the diet ends, most people don’t know what to do next.In this episode, Coach Matt and I talk about how to transition from fat loss to maintenance without panic or rebound. And then we talk about finding the least training you can do to maintain your physique. We use Fred’s story — a reader who dropped from 360 lbs to 166 — as a real-world example of what to expect when you stop cutting and start maintaining. We cover:How to calculate your maintenance calories after a deficit. Why regaining 5–10 lbs after a cut is normal (and not fat). What "maximum maintenance" means — and how to find it.How to reduce training volume without losing muscle. Why maintaining your physique is often harder mentally than dieting. This episode will help you end the "yo-yo" cycle and finally hold onto the results you’ve worked for.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

“I Quit My Job to Finally Get in Shape”

Todd, a father of six, spent two decades in engineering and renewable energy. At 48, he decided it was time to re-engineer something else: his own life.Todd walked away from his career — not because he had to, but because he wanted to. He called it an "environment change." His goal was simple: finally take his health seriously, rebuild family connections, and reinvent himself.Three months later, he’s down nearly 40 pounds and delighted with the success he has had. But he’s also confronting new challenges: how to avoid the all-or-nothing mindset, how to eat sustainably instead of obsessively, and how to set goals that last beyond the initial rush of progress. In this episode, we dig into:Why Todd’s “temporary retirement” became the forcing function for change. How he lost 28 lbs in 34 days, and what really happened behind the numbers. Why aggressive dieting works short-term but fails without a plan afterward. How to reintroduce carbs without fear, and why this is necessary for his path forward.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

This week, Coach Sam joins me for a new Q&A episode. I put him to the test by asking him to answer a reader’s question — one I’d already answered myself — to see how closely his advice matched mine.**Q: “Two months ago, I finished a two-month weight loss program. I’m 6'0" and weighed 248 lbs. I lost 41 pounds and feel great. I ate twice a day — each meal was about 5 ounces of lean meat, high-fiber veggies, and berries. I was full, but my daily intake was around 1,000 kcal.I’m now in maintenance, but would like to lose another 20 pounds of fat and gain some muscle. I’m 56 and just started swimming three times a week. I also want to add lifting. Chandler is a form of client of mine. He’s a 42 year-old father of two young boys living in Savannah, Georgia. We work together 11 years ago when he got stuck, and we managed to make a level change in his physique. In the year since Chandler has diligently kept up his training and progress tracking, tried different training styles, and tried cutting and bulking many times, but he hasn't been able to break through the plateau since.Has he reached his genetic potential? Is there something that has been missing? I think so. And frankly, I think the answer is hiding in plain sight and it goes back to what we did when we first work together.I hope you enjoy this conversation with Chandler. Most people don’t quit training because they don’t get results. They quit because their expectations didn’t match reality. In this episode, Sam and I dig into a real coaching application where someone claimed to have gained 20 pounds of muscle in six months, based on body fat devices and faulty tracking. We talk about why this isn’t possible, the bigger problem in the fitness industry (coaches telling clients what they want to hear), and why being brutally honest up front is our preferred way to build trust. We cover:Why body fat progress-tracking methods like BIA machines give false hope. The real pace of muscle gain for intermediates vs. beginners. How unrealistic expectations poison coaching relationships. Why intelligent people often get stuck questioning instead of doing. What a realistic bulk-and-cut cycle actually looks like.If you’ve ever wondered whether your expectations are helping or hurting your progress, this episode is worth your time.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle (https://rippedbody.com/)(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

And what unfolded in our conversation wasn’t a discussion about macros, training splits, or the fastest way to drop fat.Instead, it became about letting go.Letting go of all-or-nothing thinking. Letting go of pressure to always do more. Letting go of the idea that being "less than perfect" means falling behind.Because when we dug in, he realized that the biggest gift he could give to himself and his family right now, was learning to to do less and be ok with that.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

Fred has lost more than half his body weight — and kept it off for two decades. But this isn’t just a story of fat loss. It’s about persistence, identity, and learning to love the process long after the novelty wears off.In this episode, Fred shares how he went from 360 pounds to a 173-pound marathon runner… and why he still doesn’t see himself as "fit" in the mirror. We talk about the long road to building a new identity, the struggle to push through plateaus, and how he’s now chasing a different kind of finish line: finally seeing his abs, for the first time ever.Let’s get into it.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

I broke my arm and tore three shoulder ligaments. Here’s my recovery plan.

Last Sunday, I had a freak accident while cycling that resulted in a broken arm and three torn shoulder ligaments. So I decided to jump on a call with Ripped Body Coach Sam to explain my recovery plan. This episode isn’t a pity party. It’s the recovery blueprint I’m following — and the mindset that’s keeping me from spiraling while I can’t train normally. We've worked with thousands of clients over the years. Occasionally, people get injured. We always help them work through it. Now it's my time to walk the walk.We cover:👉 How I’m adapting my training during rehab.👉 The nutrition changes I’m making to support healing (without gaining excess fat).👉 Why this might actually be the perfect time to improve other areas of my fitness.👉 How I'm mentally framing things to deal with the frustration.Whether you’re sidelined by injury now or just want to know how to handle it if it happens, this may be worth a listen.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"I promised my family I'd come back bigger and stronger."

Brian is an engineer living in New York, a disciplined calisthenics enthusiast, and one of the most thoughtful guests I’ve ever had on.Eighteen months ago, when Brian returned to Malaysia to visit his family, his parents commented they were worried about how skinny he had gotten. — They didn't realize how hard he had been working to unfatten himself after an unsuccessful dream bulk. Nonetheless, he made a promise to his family, that the next time they saw him, he’d be bigger, stronger, healthier, and more confident.Since then, he’s been tracking his calories, weighing himself daily, and has emailed to ask me the kind of smart, self-aware questions that most people avoid. In today’s episode, we talk about how his mindset evolved, the trap of trying to gain muscle without any fat, and what it will take to gain the 10 lbs of muscle he is after.Let’s dive in!------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"Someone asked if I still work out..."

Scott was one of the first clients I ever coached — and one of the first client transformations I ever posted online. At his leanest, he was absolutely shredded. But that was over a decade ago.Since then, life happened — including a multi-year battle with cancer, time off from training, and a long road back to health. Now 50, Scott’s strong again. Back in the gym. Lifting heavy. Building momentum. But recently someone asked him, "Do you still work out?" And that simple comment triggered something he didn’t expect — a wave of doubt, reflection, and ultimately, renewed drive to get lean again. This podcast episode is about what it takes to get back on the path — when you’ve already been through hell and back.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

Why the Carnivore and Anti-Seed Oil Movement Scares Me

This One’s Personal. While updating our Client Onboarding Guidelines this week, I found myself going off on a bit of a rant.Fifteen years ago, my cousin died of a heart attack. I was too broke to fly back for the funeral. I’ve regretted that ever since. So when I see dangerous diet trends gaining traction — the kind that could quietly send someone else’s cousin to an early grave — I can’t stay quiet.Let me be clear: I don’t dispute that some people have had success with the Carnivore diet in addressing certain health issues. That’s great, and I don’t take issue with people sharing those experiences. What I do take issue with is when those anecdotes are twisted into broad recommendations. Worse: when they’re paired with anti-science claims about seed oils, and used to justify sky-high saturated fat intakes. This boom in saturated-fat-pushing, seed-oil-demonizing advice? It’s not going to end well for a lot of people.---Further Reading 📘 From Sigma Nutrition:Cholesterol, Lipoproteins & Lipids: Understanding CVD RiskThe Impact of Diet on Blood LipidsHow Diet Influences Heart Disease RiskThe History of Fat, Cholesterol & Heart Disease (Podcast)🧠 From Uproot Nutrition:A Comprehensive Rebuttal to Seed Oil Sophistry------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"I just want to see my abs — once."

Savio grew up the chubby kid — avoiding pools, hiding behind crossed arms, and feeling the weight of insecurity long before he ever picked up a weight. Now in his 30s, he moved from Canada to live in Vietnam with his wife, but he is still chasing the same goal that’s been with him for half his life: to finally see abs. But as he tries to diet down, self-doubt, conflicting advice, and the temptation to “adjust something” too soon keep creeping in.We talk about how to stay objective, the hierarchy of training and nutrition priorities, and how to know when to push versus when to hold steady.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

Don’t be fooled by how fit he looks.Don is 6’4”, 180 lbs, lean, and strong—but what makes his story special isn’t what you see now. It’s the journey he has been on.He’s a 41-year-old father of three who used to weigh 250 lbs. He’s yo-yo dieted for over a decade. He even got liposuction once because he thought it would help him feel “enough.”But what really changed his life was when he broke the all-or-nothing mindset that held him back. And in this conversation, Don shares exactly how he did that. "What worked before isn’t working now."

Brian, a 44-year-old father of three, has already done the hard thing — he lost 40 pounds, got lean, built serious strength, and learned to fuel himself like an athlete. But now, years later, with more on his plate and less room for perfection, he’s looking to get back into shape and is wondering: “Why isn’t what worked before working now?”We talk about the pressure of setting an example for his kids, the frustration of stalled progress despite doing everything “right,” how he’s learning to trade perfection for sustainability, and what he needs to do differently to get unstuck.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

Today I’m speaking with Richard Golden — a longtime Ripped Body reader who’s undergone a dramatic transformation over the last decade.Rich grew up with an identical twin brother who was lean, while he struggled with weight gain, body image issues, and cycles of yo-yo dieting. At his heaviest, he weighed over 230 lbs.Now at 44 years old, he’s sitting at a lean and healthy 155 — and more importantly, he feels in control for the first time in his life.We talk about how a painful breakup triggered a turning point, what he learned about sustainability after years of failure, and why he’s now chasing something new: not just maintenance, but mastery. But can he push through the final plateau now that his health is not on the line — or will comfort hold him back?Let’s get to it.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"Weekdays I’m perfect. Weekends, I spiral."

Michael opens up about his lifelong struggle with weight, starting in his early 20s when he hit 200 pounds, without any muscle. After the birth of his first son, he realized he needed to change — not just for himself, but to keep up as a dad. That was his first serious cut, and it sparked a 10+ year journey of self-education, strength training, and cycles of cutting and bulking. He’s now stronger than ever but stuck in a long-standing all-or-nothing mindset, especially with weekend eating. During the week, he’s disciplined and in control. But when Friday hits, family time, baked treats, and decompression turn into overeating — not just for enjoyment, but out of habit.Michael wants to set a better example for his four kids, especially his son, who’s now lifting and developing his own self-control. He’s wrestling with how to stay consistent, how to eat in a way that balances discipline with family joy, and how to shift from "perfect or nothing" to something sustainable. He’s not just chasing fat loss — he’s trying to break a generational pattern before it repeats.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

"I want to bulk — but I’m afraid of undoing everything"

Alex opens up about his years-long battle with performance obsession, burnout, and a hidden addiction to Adderall. What began as a drive to "get the physique" spiraled into overtraining, under-recovering, and chasing a shredded look at the cost of his mental and physical health. A serious injury and a breaking point in his personal life forced him to confront what he was running from — and how much he’d been avoiding.Alex shares how rebuilding his relationship with food, training, and himself has given him a new mission: to pursue sustainable progress, not perfection. But that doesn’t mean the struggle is over — he's standing at the edge of his next challenge: bulking. And with it comes old fears of bloating, body image, and letting go of his abs. This is an honest conversation about identity, control, and learning to trust the process — even when it’s uncomfortable.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)

Introducing our new coach: Sam Edwards — “I’ll never let a client go through what I did!"

It started with a moment of quiet shame: his girlfriend swooning over a Twilight actor’s abs while Sam sat next to her, skinny-fat and stuck. That moment sent him chasing change — first through generic magazine workouts, then into the hands of a “pro” coach who gave him abs, yes, but also exhaustion, rebound weight gain, and a deep sense of failure.Sam rebuilt himself the hard way — through obsession, mentorship, and reps. He became the coach he once needed. But success brought its own trap: business mentors told him to prioritize profit over people. That wasn’t who he wanted to be.In this episode, Sam shares what pulled him back to coaching for the right reasons, the personal loss that changed how he shows up for clients, and why empathy — not macros — is his real coaching superpower.------------Since 2011, we’ve helped 2,000+ busy men get lean, strong, and in control — without supplements, gimmicks, or sacrificing their lives to the gym.👉 Get our Free 15-Day Transformation Kickstart Bundle(Training program, nutrition guide, and 15-step course to help you avoid the most common mistakes.)
