If you feel like you’re constantly starting over with your health goals, this episode is your wake-up call—in the best way. We’re breaking down the lie that you need more discipline and exposing what’s actually keeping you stuck: perfectionism and the all-or-nothing mindset. Through Zechariah 4:10, we’re shifting your perspective on small beginnings and learning how God truly defines progress. Spoiler alert: He’s not impressed by intensity—He delights in consistency, obedience, and your willingness to simply begin. In This Episode You’ll Learn:  Why perfectionism—not laziness—is the real reason you keep falling off track  The truth about consistency (and why it’s NOT the same as perfection)  How the all-or-nothing mindset is keeping you stuck in cycles of guilt and shame  What Zechariah 4:10 reveals about how God views your progress  How to set small, sustainable goals that actually build momentum  Why “starting small” requires humility—and how it breaks fear of man  A practical way to invite the Holy Spirit into your goal-setting Ready for Personalized Support? S3. E11. Too busy to eat? That's the problem.

Feeling too busy to eat lunch? That might not be a time problem—it might be a trust problem. In this episode, we’re reframing mealtimes as moments of consecration—time set apart for the Lord—and why skipping meals is actually pulling you into self-reliance instead of dependence on God. Anchored in Leviticus 20:7, we’re diving into what it really means to be set apart and how that applies to your daily rhythms. When you choose to pause, nourish your body, and invite God into your meals, you’re not falling behind—you’re positioning yourself for supernatural strength, clarity, and provision. You’re not too busy to eat… you’re too busy NOT to. In This Episode, You’ll Learn:  What “consecration” actually means and how it applies to your meals  Why skipping meals is rooted in self-reliance, not discipline  How taking a lunch break is an act of trust and surrender  The connection between nourishment, productivity, and God’s presence  How mealtimes can help reduce overeating and emotional eating  Why God’s design for your body includes rhythm, rest, and refueling Ready For Support? If you’re struggling to stay consistent with meals, feel “too busy” to eat, or want to invite God into your health journey in a deeper way—I’d love to support you. 👉 Book your free call here: https://bio.site/abbiestasior

S3. E10. The truth about body image (that actually sets you free)

Body image struggles aren’t just about your body… they’re about where your mind is set and who you’re fearing. In this vulnerable episode, I’m sharing what God revealed to me in my own wedding season as I battled insecurity—and how He used Revelation 3:5 to shift my perspective from earthly thinking to eternal truth. Jesus meets us in our shame with compassion, but He doesn’t let us stay there. He calls us higher—into victory, into freedom, and into a mindset that reflects His truth over our feelings. In This Episode, You’ll Learn:  The real root of body image struggles (hint: it’s deeper than your body)  How fear of man keeps you stuck in insecurity  What it means to set your mind on things above  How Jesus leads you out of shame and into victory  Practical questions to ask God to heal your body image  Ready For Support? S3. E9. Why you're still struggling with food (you're missing this)

If you’re trying to heal your relationship with food without the Holy Spirit… you’re doing it the hard way—and honestly, the wrong way. In this post-Resurrection Sunday episode, we’re diving into what Jesus meant when He said it was better for Him to leave so the Holy Spirit could come (👀 yes, better!). Because here’s the truth: You don’t just need more discipline, a better plan, or more nutrition knowledge… You need the Helper. The Advocate. The Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit isn’t optional in your health journey—He is your wisest counsel. And if you’re not listening to Him… what are you listening to?   In this episode you’ll learn:  Why Jesus said it’s better that the Holy Spirit came  How the Holy Spirit actually guides your health decisions  The danger of relying on your own understanding (even with good intentions)  Why discipline isn’t your problem—dependence is  How to stop defaulting to diet culture and start following God’s voice   BOOK A FREE CALL WITH ABBIE HERE: https://bio.site/abbiestasior

What if the reason your health journey feels frustrating… isn’t your discipline—but your direction? In this powerful Holy Week conversation, I sit down with Christian dietitian and life coach Madison Perron to unpack what it really means to steward your body for the glory of God—not from control, but from surrender. We’re diving deep into the spiritual root of health struggles, the role of pride vs. humility, and how to actually partner with the Holy Spirit in your wellness journey. Inside This Episode You'll Learn:  The 4 Rhythms of Whole Body Wellness (that most people ignore)  Why your health journey may be failing without God at the center  The real meaning of “holistic health” from a Biblical perspective  How pride subtly shows up in your eating + body goals  Spiritual warfare in your health journey (and how to fight back)  Why “clean eating” and control can pull you AWAY from God  The connection between Genesis creation + the finished work of the cross  How to stop striving and start walking in victory + freedom   Work with Abbie here: https://bio.site/abbiestasiorDownload Abbie's FREE Holy Week Devotional here: https://www.yourdailybreadco.com/offers/drMvzyAX/checkout Connect with Madison Perron:Instagram: @madeformore_wellnessTikTok: @madeformore_wellnessFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/1ATkNJ4VoP/?mibextid=wwXIfrWebsite: https://www.madeformorewellness.com/Gratitude Journal: https://a.co/d/0bdYmV7y

S3. E7. Overcoming negativity bias in your health journey

“God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.” — Genesis 1:31 Before moving on, God paused. He looked. He declared it good. So why do we struggle to do the same? In this episode, we’re talking about negativity bias — our brain’s tendency to fixate on what’s wrong — and how it impacts our relationship with food, our bodies, and our progress. What You’ll Learn:  What Genesis 1:31 reveals about God’s character  How negativity bias shapes your health journey  Why celebrating small wins accelerates growth  A practical way to retrain your brain this week Work with Abbie here: https://bio.site/abbiestasior

S3. E6. The dangers of "clean eating"

"Eating clean" may sound healthy and righteous... but is this language leading to more guilt and shame, harming our relationship with food? In Acts 10, Peter has a vision where God tells him, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” While this passage carries powerful implications about inclusion and the Gospel, it also dismantles something many of us still cling to today: labeling food as morally good or bad. In this episode, we’re unpacking the subtle danger of “clean eating” language — and how it may be harming your relationship with food more than helping it. What You’ll Learn:  What Acts 10 really teaches us about food  Why “clean eating” language can increase food anxiety  How labeling food impacts your brain and behavior  A healthier, more biblical way to approach nourishment Work with Abbie here: https://bio.site/abbiestasior See the study about clean eating here (Ambwani et al., 2019): https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31171970/

S3. E5. When Jesus breaks your food rules

In John 5, Jesus heals a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years — and then tells him to do something shocking: “Pick up your mat and walk.” The problem? It was unlawful to carry your mat on the Sabbath. Why would Jesus ask him to break a religious rule? Because obedience to Christ will always matter more than man-made regulations. In today’s episode, we’re talking about how following Jesus may challenge your food rules — the ones that once made you feel safe. Whether it’s “no carbs after 7,” tracking everything you eat, or believing you have to earn your food through exercise, the Holy Spirit may gently invite you to do something different. And that invitation can feel uncomfortable. But freedom often does. If you’ve ever felt tension between your faith and your food rules, this episode will help you discern the difference between Spirit-led conviction and fear-based restriction. What You’ll Learn:  Why Jesus sometimes disrupts rule-following  How food rules can masquerade as discipline  The difference between wisdom and fear  How to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit in your health journey Work With Abbie Here: https://bio.site/abbiestasior

S3. E4. Managing ADHD as a Christian (feat. Caroline Falwell)

If you’ve ever felt like a “bad Christian” because you can’t stick to a Bible plan… if your morning routine starts strong and fizzles out… if you feel frustrated with your brain and ashamed of your inconsistency — this episode is for you. We cover how to manage ADHD as a Christian, so you can partner with God instead of fighting your brain! “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 Today I’m joined by Caroline Falwell, who helps Christians navigate ADHD through a faith-based lens. We talk about what it looks like to stop fighting your brain and start partnering with God in it. ADHD isn’t a spiritual failure. It’s not a lack of discipline. And it’s certainly not proof that you love Jesus less. What if it’s actually an invitation to deeper dependence? In this episode, you’ll learn: • Why ADHD can actually increase your dependence on God (and why that’s a gift) • How to release shame around inconsistent quiet times • Practical ADHD-friendly morning routine tips • What to do when you forget to eat (especially on medication) • Why all-or-nothing thinking is keeping you stuck • A flexible “component meal prep” idea for ADHD brains • How to create proximity to your priorities (without perfectionism) • The difference between consistency and rhythm • How to invite God into your day beyond a 20-minute devotional • Why external accountability can be a game-changer This conversation is full of grace, humility, and practical tools you can start using immediately. S3. E3. Why “cheat days” are spiritually harmful

When we call eating certain foods “cheating,” we may think it’s harmless—but Scripture shows us that cheating and unfaithfulness are never neutral. Jesus calls us to faithfulness of heart, not just behavior, and that includes how we relate to our bodies. In this episode, we explore why “cheat day” language subtly reinforces shame, secrecy, and self-betrayal—and how God invites us into a more integrated, honest, and life-giving way of eating. In this episode, you’ll learn:  Why “cheat day” language mirrors spiritual unfaithfulness rather than stewardship  How moralizing food splits us into obedience vs. indulgence  Why shame thrives in secrecy—and freedom thrives in integrity  How covenant with God includes how we care for our bodies  What it looks like to eat with gratitude, trust, and wholeness instead of rebellion  How reframing your language can renew your mind and heal your relationship with food If you’re ready to step out of the restrict–rebel cycle and into a more faithful, freeing approach to eating, I’d love to walk with you. 👉 Book a free call here: https://yourdailybreadco.typeform.com/workwithabbie 👉 Try the One Minute Pause App (Christian Meditation App) here: https://wildatheart.org/pause

S3. E2. Do you crave sweets after eating?

If you always want a lil sweet treat... this episode is for you! This episode will help you decode your cravings (without shame)! Jesus reminds us that we do not live on bread alone—but on every word that comes from God (Matthew 4:3-4). That truth matters not only for our spiritual lives, but also for how we understand our bodies. Sometimes, even after a full meal, we still crave something sweet—and that doesn’t mean we’ve failed or lacked self-control. Often, it means something deeper (at a soul-level) is asking for attention. In this episode, you’ll learn:  Why cravings are not sinful, but often informative  Common physical reasons you may want something sweet after eating  How underfueling, imbalance, restriction, dehydration, or eating too fast can play a role  When cravings are about dopamine, comfort, or pleasure—not hunger  How to build a “dopamine menu” so food isn’t your only source of enjoyment  Why dessert isn’t the problem—but expecting food to meet every need is If you want help learning how to listen to your body while staying rooted in Scripture, you don’t have to figure it out alone. 👉 Book a free food freedom in Christ call here: https://yourdailybreadco.typeform.com/workwithabbie 👉 Read the Dopamine Menu article here: https://www.additudemag.com/dopamenu-dopamine-menu-adhd-brain/amp/

S3. E1. Why "quick fixes" don't work & what God values instead

YAYYY Season 3 of the podcast is HERE! And we are recording in person!! God is so good! I've missed y'all! At the start of the year, it’s tempting to rush toward quick fixes—fast results, immediate change, and visible progress. But Scripture shows us that God is far more concerned with how something is built than how quickly it appears. In 2 Kings 12, we see the careful restoration of the temple using skilled workers and sturdy materials—investments meant to last. And Isaiah reminds us that what springs up quickly without deep roots often ends in grief. In this episode, you’ll learn:  How temple repairs in Scripture mirror how God invites us to care for our own “temples”  Why God prioritizes trained, trusted support and solid foundations over quick solutions  How diet culture mimics fast-growing plants that fail to bear lasting fruit  Why results alone are not the same as fruit—and how Jesus defines true success  How to discern whether an investment in your health is leading toward stability or striving If you’re tired of starting over and want to pursue healing in a way that honors both your body and your faith, I’d love to support you. 👉 Book a free food freedom in Christ call here: https://yourdailybreadco.typeform.com/workwithabbie

S2. E45. From Control to Trust: Letting go of macro tracking (with Madison Cacciola, CPT)

What happens when the very rules meant to keep you “safe” are actually keeping you stuck? In today’s powerful guest episode, Abbie is joined by Madison Cacciola CPT, a former macro tracker, personal trainer, and dear client, who vulnerably shares her journey from binge eating, food rules, and control to true food freedom in Christ. Madison opens up about why tracking felt necessary—how rules gave her a false sense of safety after struggling with binge eating—and why trusting her hunger and body felt terrifying. She shares what it looked like to walk through the messy middle of intuitive eating, surrender control daily, and confront the fear that letting go would lead to failure. Together, Abbie and Madison unpack: Why food rules often feel safer than freedom after binge eating How macro tracking can become an idol disguised as discipline The fear of weight gain—and what happened when it actually occurred Why intuitive eating is not a “free-for-all,” but a Spirit-led practice How shame entered the moment Madison saw the number on the scale—and the biblical parallel that changed everything Why obedience sometimes feels uncomfortable—but always leads to freedom The difference between striving for weight loss and striving for healing How surrendering food control deepened Madison’s intimacy with God Why freedom is worth the cost, even when the journey feels hard This episode is honest, emotional, deeply biblical, and full of hope for anyone who feels trapped by food rules, tracking, binge eating, or fear of losing control. S2. E44. Is it Biblical fasting or diet culture in disguise?

As we enter a new year and many churches begin prayer and fasting seasons, it’s important to pause and ask an honest question: Is this fast actually drawing me closer to Jesus—or pulling my focus toward food, weight, and control? In today’s episode, Abbie unpacks what Scripture really teaches about fasting—especially for those healing their relationship with food. This conversation is not anti-fasting; Jesus clearly says “when you fast.” But it is pro-discernment, pro-healing, and deeply rooted in biblical truth. If fasting pulls your eyes off of Jesus and onto your body, your weight, or food control, it is no longer biblical fasting—it’s dieting with spiritual language. Using Matthew 6:16–18 and other key passages, we explore how diet culture can subtly hijack spiritual practices (especially in January), how to examine our motives with compassion rather than condemnation, and how obedience may look different in different seasons. You’ll learn: What biblical fasting is for (and what it is not) Why prayer is essential for any true fast How diet culture distorts fasting—especially at the start of the year Why fasting from food may not be what God is inviting you into right now Alternative fasts that can actually support healing (body checking, the scale, tracking, comparison, distraction) Discernment questions to pray through before starting a fast How to fast in a way that produces peace, humility, and intimacy with God—not anxiety and striving If you’ve ever felt confused, pressured, or spiritually conflicted during fasting seasons, this episode offers biblical clarity, gentle guardrails, and freedom. In today’s episode, we’re preparing your heart and your body for Thanksgiving — a holiday that brings joy, gratitude, and let’s be honest… a lot of food. If you’ve ever found yourself overly hungry, overeating, or curled up on the couch in pain afterward, this episode is a gentle invitation to try something different — something surprisingly simple, profoundly biblical, and deeply effective. We dive into John 21:1–14, where Jesus invites His disciples to “Come and have breakfast.” Yes… Jesus ate breakfast. And there’s a powerful reason you should, too — especially on Thanksgiving. You’ll learn: • Why eating breakfast is actually Christlike (and how this Scripture reveals God’s kindness in your eating) • How skipping meals makes overeating inevitable — physically and spiritually • A practical plan for Thanksgiving morning that helps you stay grounded and Spirit-led • How eating earlier in the day prevents that ravenous, urgent hunger that leads to overeating • Why doing this doesn’t “ruin your Thanksgiving meal,” but redeems it • How to enter the holiday with peace, intention, and self-compassion • How God wants to redeem your experience with food, even on feast days This isn’t about restriction. It’s about receiving God’s grace, honoring your body, and stewarding your hunger in a way that aligns with Christlike compassion. If you're ready for a calmer, more intentional Thanksgiving — this episode is your fresh wind. ✨ Book a free 20-minute call to heal your relationship with food with a faith-based approach: 👉 https://yourdailybreadco.typeform.com/workwithabbie
