33: Where Yin Yoga Meets The Nervous System – You are Invited To Join YinMersion

Half way into my pregnancy it has already been teaching me so much about nervous system capacity in a very real and embodied way. There have been moments where I’ve had to completely let go of productivity and simply listen to what my body was asking for. Moments where slowing down wasn’t a wellness choice or a mindful lifestyle decision, but the only thing that felt possible. And in many ways, that experience has deepened my relationship to my work even further. Because so much of what I teach around yin yoga and the nervous system comes back to this exact thing: learning how to listen before the body has to shout louder. And because of that, I’ve been thinking very carefully about how I want to move through this transition with intention. And the answer that kept coming back was this: One more YinMersion. One more opening into this work before life shifts into a completely new chapter with motherhood.Because over the past year, this community has grown so much. Many of you found my work only recently. Others wanted to join YinMersion last time, but life got busy, timing didn’t align, or you simply weren’t ready yet.For those who are new here, YinMersion is a free online experience taking place from 19–21 June, where we explore yin yoga through a nervous system and trauma-informed approach. Whether you join live, through the recordings, the intention is to create enough spaciousness for this work to be felt and integrated in your own timing, rather than simply consumed intellectually. The event is open to both yoga teachers and practitioners, and no prior experience is needed.Thank you for being part of this community during such a transformative season of my life.If today’s episode resonated with you, and you feel called to explore this work more deeply, here are a few gentle next steps you can take:If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Join my free YINMERSION event on 19-21 June 2026, a 3-day journey for yoga teachers and practitioners to explore how yin yoga can transform the way you relate to your emotions, body, and nervous system.https://greenomlet.kit.com/f1dcfb7d4c More resources:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856 Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand after my maternity break:28 Feb – 9 Mar 2027 https://tri.ps/UcPui25 Apr – 4 May 2027 https://tri.ps/rAlpu6-15 Jun 2027 https://tri.ps/QusiF  If travelling is not an option right now, you can also join my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training:https://liz41.podia.com/100hr-trauma-informed-yin-yoga-chinese-meridians-teacher-trainingJoin the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand before my maternity break:22-26 Mar 2027 https://tri.ps/WcBtX Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching soon:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3 Check out what my previous graduates share about their experience: https://youtu.be/taDFLfa7rM4 Teacher Training Demo Video:https://youtu.be/LNVceTgK4CQ

32: What is YinMersion And Who Is It For

What exactly is YinMersion and who is this experience really for?In this episode, I’m sharing more about the intention behind YinMersion, my free 3-day online experience for yoga teachers and practitioners exploring yin yoga through a more embodied, nervous system aware, and trauma sensitive approach. We talk about:❊ why many people intellectually understand healing, nervous system work, or yin yoga, yet still feel disconnected internally ❊ what happens when yoga becomes another space for performance, optimisation, or “doing healing correctly” ❊ why so many teachers quietly struggle with holding emotional space in classes ❊ how practitioners can still feel stuck in cycles of overwhelm, shutdown, anxiety, or overthinking despite “doing all the right things” ❊ the difference between intensity and true depth in a yin yoga practice ❊ why nervous system capacity shapes our experience of stillness far more than flexibility doesI also share who this work tends to resonate deeply with, and honestly, who it may not be for.YinMersion includes educational workshops, guided yin yoga practices, reflection, live teaching, and space for integration across 3 days together online.Whether you’re a teacher wanting to hold space more confidently or a practitioner wanting to understand yourself more deeply through yin yoga, this experience is designed to help you explore what is happening underneath the surface of the practice.YinMersion takes place 19–21 June.Replays will also be available if you cannot join live.If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Ready to go deeper? 31: On Popular Demand: YinMersion is Back in June!

YinMersion is coming back this June ✨This is a free 3-day online experience for yoga teachers and practitioners who want to explore yin yoga through a more embodied, nervous system aware, and trauma sensitive approach.Over the years, I’ve noticed that many people can understand concepts intellectually, yet still feel disconnected from their own bodies in practice. We can learn about the nervous system, emotional regulation, meridians, and mindfulness, but actually recognising those patterns in ourselves is a very different experience. And that’s exactly the space YinMersion was created for.Across these 3 days, we explore:❊ yin yoga beyond flexibility and performance❊ how the nervous system responds to stillness❊ emotional awareness in practice❊ the difference between pushing through and truly listening❊ how to approach yin yoga in a more therapeutic, sustainable wayThis experience is open to both yoga teachers and practitioners. You do not need previous experience, flexibility, or any prior nervous system knowledge to join. Each day includes guided yin practices, teachings, reflection, and space to integrate what you notice in your own body and experience. And if live participation isn’t possible, recordings will be available, so you can move through the experience in your own time and revisit the sessions as needed.Especially in a world that constantly encourages us to push harder, stay productive, and override ourselves, I believe spaces like this matter deeply.Sometimes the most meaningful shifts happen very quietly:when we slow down enough to finally hear ourselves clearly.YinMersion takes place 19–21 June and I would truly love to welcome you into this space. If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Ready to go deeper? 30: Why Going Deeper in Your Yin Practice Has Nothing to Do with Flexibility

One of the most common things I hear from students, both in classes and in trainings, is this idea of wanting to “go deeper” in their practice. And very often, what they mean by that is getting further into a pose. More stretch, more sensation, more intensity. It’s such a common way of thinking, especially in a yoga culture that has, for a long time, associated progress with flexibility. But over the years, both in my own practice and in teaching, I’ve come to see that depth in yin yoga has very little to do with how far your body goes into a shape. In fact, some of the deepest experiences I’ve witnessed, both personally and in my students, happened in very subtle, almost unnoticeable ranges of movement. Because what we often call “going deeper” is not really about intensity. It’s about awareness. And awareness requires a very different kind of attention than pushing further into sensation. This is the topic I explore in this video. If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Ready to go deeper? 29: Can You Hold Space – for Yourself & Others - The Skill Most Courses Don’t Teach

In this episode, we explore something I feel is missing in many yin yoga teacher trainings: learning to truly hold space. Most courses teach poses, sequencing, anatomy, and meridian theory. And while those things matter, they don’t necessarily prepare teachers for what happens when a real human experience unfolds in the room.Because yin yoga has a way of bringing people into contact with themselves on much deeper layers. Emotions can surface. Stillness can feel unfamiliar. Silence can feel usafe. And in those moments, teaching becomes much less about guiding shapes and much more about presence, attunement, and nervous system awareness. In this episode, I explore:• Why space holding is a skill most teacher trainings don’t fully teach• What happens in the nervous system during yin yoga• Why trauma awareness matters in yin yoga spaces• How teachers can unintentionally override or overwhelm students• The difference between guiding poses and holding grounded, supportive space• Why understanding your own nervous system changes the way you teach and practiceI also share more about my Meridian–Emotion–Nervous System Yoga Method® and why this work became such an important part of my teaching over the years. If this conversation resonates, you can begin exploring this approach through my free Yin Reset practice, or join me inside YinMersion where we go deeper into these layers together in a more structured and experiential way.Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Ready to go deeper? 28: Rethinking Yin Yoga – Why Your Practice Might Feel Dysregulating

Yin yoga is often seen as the place to slow down, switch off, and finally relax. But what happens when stillness doesn’t feel calming at all?In this episode, I explore something that is rarely spoken about in the yin yoga space: why slow does not automatically mean safe, and why stillness can sometimes feel uncomfortable, restless, or even overwhelming instead of regulating. We look at how the nervous system actually responds to stillness, why long holds can become dysregulating without choice and awareness, and how the common expectation to “just relax” can create more disconnection rather than support. This is an invitation to rethink what regulation really means. Not as constant calm, but as the ability to move between different nervous system states with more flexibility and resilience. If you’ve ever felt unsettled in a yin class, questioned your experience, or wondered if you were doing something wrong, this conversation will help you understand what might actually be happening beneath the surface. If you’d like to explore this in your own body, you can start with my free Yin Reset practice, a gentle entry point into a more trauma-informed, nervous system aware approach to yin yoga. And if you’re ready to go deeper, YinMersion is returning this June, a free 3-day experience where we explore how to work with the nervous system in both practice and teaching. If today’s episode resonated with you, and you feel called to explore this work more deeply, here are a few gentle next steps you can take:If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a short accessible yin practice to experience my signature approach:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Ready to go deeper? 27: Why Most Online Yoga Courses Don’t Work (And How to Find One That Does)

In this episode, we explore a belief I hear often in the yoga world: “You can’t really learn yoga online.” And honestly, I understand where that idea comes from. Many people invest in online trainings, watch a few modules, and then the course slowly disappears into the background of their lives. The information is there, but something important is missing: the connection, the guidance, the accountability that turns knowledge into embodied understanding.Because watching videos alone does not make someone a yoga teacher. Practicing does. Teaching does. Being witnessed, receiving feedback, and having a mentor guide you through the learning process does.At the same time, I’ve personally had incredibly positive experiences with online learning, from my prenatal yoga teacher training, to marketing education for yoga teachers, and currently an 875-hour yoga therapy program that is truly mind-blowing. These experiences showed me that online education can work when it is designed with the human element in mind.In this video I share:• why many online yoga courses don’t work• busting the myth that online learning is ineffective• what actually creates transformation in an online training• and how I designed my online self-paced Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga Teacher Training differentlyI also share about my upcoming live trainings in Thailand this April and June, which will be the final opportunities to join me in person before I take a maternity break. If traveling isn’t possible, the online self-paced TTC remains available and includes mentoring, community, and guidance along the way.If today’s episode resonated with you, and you feel called to explore this work more deeply, here are a few gentle next steps you can take:If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856 Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, designed for you to experience how my integrated signature approach The Meridian-Emotion-Nervous System Yoga Method works:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand:12-21 Apr 2026 https://tri.ps/SNpHU1-10 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/HSIje  If travelling is not an option right now, you can also join my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training:https://liz41.podia.com/100hr-trauma-informed-yin-yoga-chinese-meridians-teacher-training Join the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand:27 Apr-1 May 2026 https://tri.ps/KEjqV15-19 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/OcxwY Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching in late-January:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3 Check out what my previous graduates share about their experience: https://youtu.be/taDFLfa7rM4 Teacher Training Demo Video:https://youtu.be/LNVceTgK4CQ

26: A Personal Life Update – Final Live Courses Before I Take A Maternity Break

For the past couple of months, things have been a little quieter here. In this video, I’m sharing a personal life update and explaining why.I’m 3 months pregnant and the first trimester has been a very humbling experience. The past weeks have brought a lot of nausea, fatigue, and a strong reminder that sometimes the body asks us to slow down in ways we didn’t plan for.Because of this new phase of life, I’ll be taking a maternity pause from my live trainings later this year. This means the April and June courses in Thailand will be the final opportunities to join me live before I step away for a while. Live trainings are expected to return next February (2027), depending on how recovery and this transition into motherhood unfold. In this video I also share how this will shape my work in the coming months, and why the online self-paced Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training will remain available, including live mentoring sessions. If you’ve been considering joining one of my live trainings, this spring will be the moment. And if travel isn’t possible, the online training offers a flexible way to explore this work while learning at your own pace.Thank you for being part of this community and supporting this work as life moves into a new chapter. If today’s episode resonated with you, and you feel called to explore this work more deeply, here are a few gentle next steps you can take:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856 Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, designed for you to experience how my integrated signature approach The Meridian-Emotion-Nervous System Yoga Method works:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand:12-21 Apr 2026 https://tri.ps/SNpHU1-10 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/HSIje  If travelling is not an option right now, you can also join my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training:https://liz41.podia.com/100hr-trauma-informed-yin-yoga-chinese-meridians-teacher-training Join the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand:27 Apr-1 May 2026 https://tri.ps/KEjqV15-19 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/OcxwY Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching in late-January:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3 Check out what my previous graduates share about their experience: https://youtu.be/taDFLfa7rM4 Teacher Training Demo Video:https://youtu.be/LNVceTgK4CQ

24: The Post-Holiday Nervous System - Why Slowing Down Feels Challenging After the Holidays

The period after the holidays is a strange in-between space. On the outside, life seems to return to normal. Work resumes. Schedules fill up again. There’s a quiet expectation to get back into rhythm, to be productive, to move forward. But inside, many of us feel anything but settled. In this episode, I’m talking about what really happens in the nervous system after the holidays, especially if that time included emotional intensity, family dynamics, old roles, or expectations we thought we had already healed. We explore why slowing down often feels hardest after the holidays, even though that’s when we need it most. Why stillness can feel uncomfortable, restless, or even unsafe for an overworked or overstimulated nervous system. And why rest isn’t something we can force, it’s something the nervous system has to relearn. We’ll talk about:why stillness isn’t passive, but intelligenthow yin yoga supports nervous system flexibility rather than forcing relaxationwhy pushing through is often the beginning of burnoutand how small, intentional pauses can make a real difference, even in a busy lifeThis episode is for yoga practitioners, teachers, and anyone who feels exhausted, wired, or disconnected after the holidays and is craving a more honest, sustainable way to come back to themselves. If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856 Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, designed for you to experience how my integrated signature approach The Meridian-Emotion-Nervous System Yoga Method works:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand:20-29 Jan 2026 https://tri.ps/YjTBO2-11 Mar 2026 https://tri.ps/zMgTI12-21 Apr 2026 https://tri.ps/SNpHU1-10 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/HSIje  If travelling is not an option right now, you can also join my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training:https://liz41.podia.com/100hr-trauma-informed-yin-yoga-chinese-meridians-teacher-training Join the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand:5-9 Jan 2026 https://tri.ps/NHjar23-27 Mar 2026 https://tri.ps/srwAN27 Apr-1 May 2026 https://tri.ps/KEjqV Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching in late-January:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3 Check out what my previous graduates share about their experience: https://youtu.be/taDFLfa7rM4 Teacher Training Demo Video:https://youtu.be/LNVceTgK4CQ

21: You Are Enough - You Don’t Need to Be Healed First to Hold Space

Have you ever felt like you’re not ready yet to teach, to lead, or to hold space for others, because you’re still healing yourself? You’re not alone. In this episode, I share the quiet truth that so many yoga teachers and practitioners carry: the belief that we must be “fixed,” fully healed, or endlessly educated before we can hold space safely. But readiness doesn’t come before the journey - it comes through it.We’ll explore:✨ The myth of needing to be “ready” before you begin✨ Why your sensitivity and imperfection are your superpowers✨ How trauma-informed yin yoga helps you create safety through presence, not perfection✨ Why your lived experience is what makes you a powerful space holderIf you’ve ever doubted yourself, compared yourself to others, or felt like you don’t know enough, this episode is for you.If today’s episode resonated with you and curious to experience how this works in practice, I invite you to explore it through my free resource: The Emotional and Nervous System Yin Reset. 20: If it was just about the pose, we’d all be healed by now

Most yoga teachers and practitioners believe yin yoga is about stillness, long holds, and deep stretching. But beneath the surface, something far more profound is happening and most teacher trainings or even classes completely miss it. Because yin yoga doesn’t just stretch your body, it speaks to your nervous system. It touches the emotions that live in the deep layers of the body, the stories stored in your tissues, and the parts of you that can’t be reached through movement alone. In this episode, I explore the depth of yin yoga that moves beyond sequencing and anatomy, and into trauma-awareness, emotional processing, and nervous system attunement. You’ll learn why: – Just memorizing poses won’t make you a trauma-informed yoga teacher – You can’t sequence your way into safety – Real teaching begins with attunement, not perfect alignment – Yin yoga becomes transformational when you understand the Meridian–Emotion–Nervous System connection This is for the teachers and practitioners who sense there’s more to yoga than what they’ve been taught, who are ready to create and hold safe spaces. If today’s episode resonated with you and curious to experience how this works in practice, I invite you to explore it through my free resource: The Emotional and Nervous System Yin Reset. 19: The Subtle Kind of Burnout Behind Always Holding It All Together

There’s a kind of exhaustion that goes beyond tiredness, the kind that no amount of sleep, meditation, or self-care can fix. It’s the quiet burnout of always being the one who holds it all together. In this episode, I share a very personal story of how I discovered that my “balanced” lifestyle - yoga, healthy lifestyle - was actually built on nervous system dysregulation. I looked calm on the outside but was still performing calm instead of feeling it.This conversation is for anyone who’s ever done everything right and still felt disconnected, anxious, or overwhelmed. You’ll hear:✨ The subtle ways burnout hides behind high-functioning habits✨ How we use yoga to numb instead of connect (without realizing it)✨ What happens when your nervous system finally feels safe enough to soften✨ How yin yoga became the bridge from performance to presenceIf you’ve been holding space for everyone else but haven’t felt truly held yourself, this is your invitation to pause and feel what your body’s been trying to tell you.If today’s episode resonated with you and curious to experience how this works in practice, I invite you to explore it through my free resource: The Emotional and Nervous System Yin Reset. 18: Beyond Asanas: How the Felt Sense of Safety Transforms Your Yin Yoga Practice

When you come into a yin yoga pose, what truly matters isn’t how deep you go, it’s whether your body feels safe enough to soften. In this episode, we explore the felt sense of safety, the deep, quiet signal in your nervous system that says, “I don’t have to be on guard right now.” Without this internal safety, no sequence, no cue, and no posture will create the calm we long for. You’ll learn:Why your nervous system must feel safe before it can relaxHow trauma-informed yin yoga helps the body trust againWhy “regulation” isn’t about staying calm How well-meaning yoga cues can unintentionally bypass the body’s realityWhat changes when we prioritize safety before shapesThis isn’t about performing poses. It’s about remembering that healing happens when your body feels safe enough to unfold, not when you force it into a shape. If you’re ready to experience this for yourself, try my Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, a gentle practice designed to help you reconnect with safety, softness, and self-trust.If today’s episode resonated with you and curious to experience how this works in practice, I invite you to explore it through my free resource: The Emotional and Nervous System Yin Reset. This experience combines short comprehensive theory, a guided yin yoga practice based on my integrated signature approach The Meridian-Emotion-Nervous System Yoga Method® and a reflection journal to integrate your experience. You can access the free yin yoga reset through the following link: https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Further Resources:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856 Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand:14-23 Dec 2025 https://tri.ps/Aximf20-29 Jan 2026 https://tri.ps/YjTBO2-11 Mar 2026 https://tri.ps/zMgTI12-21 Apr 2026 https://tri.ps/SNpHU1-10 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/HSIje Join the waitlist of my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training launching December 2025:https://greenomlet.kit.com/bba2aad3e1 Join the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand:3-7 Nov 2025 https://tri.ps/nrlWr5-9 Jan 2026 https://tri.ps/Nhjar23-27 Mar 2026 https://tri.ps/srwAN27 Apr-1 May 2026 https://tri.ps/KEjqV Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching in early 2026:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3

17: Your Nervous System in Yin Yoga: Why Flexibility Isn’t Just Physical

Most people think flexibility in yoga means touching your toes. But real flexibility - the kind that actually is life changing - has nothing to do with how far you can fold. But what I wish more yoga spaces would talk about: real flexibility isn’t just about the body. It’s about your nervous system. It’s about how you meet emotions, how you respond to stress, how you hold space for what’s uncomfortable without shutting down or running away. In this episode, I’m unpacking what I call “nervous system flexibility”, the missing link between emotional regulation, trauma-informed principles, and how yin yoga and meridian work connect the dots. You’ll learn: Why traditional yoga and meditation might not be reaching your deeper layers How yin yoga supports your emotional and energetic body through the meridian system Why stillness might feel uncomfortable and how to feel safe in it The real difference between performing calm and actually feeling it I’m also sharing part of my own story, how I went from chronic burnout and anxiety to discovering yin yoga as the practice that helped me rebuild from the inside out. 16: Unlocking What Other Yoga Practices Couldn’t: My Journey Into Yin Yoga

Have you practiced yoga perhaps for years and still felt like something was missing? Maybe your body got stronger, your flexibility improved, but deep down your nervous system was still running on overdrive, your emotions still felt stuck, and the stress or burnout never really went away. That was me for years. In this episode, I share my turning point from corporate burnout and illness into discovering yin yoga and trauma-aware practices and why they reached places that “regular yoga” never could. We’ll explore:Why so many people practice yoga and still feel stuck in stress or overwhelmHow my illness forced me to slow down and discover yin yoga as nervous system medicineThe difference between stretching your body and actually releasing stored emotionsWhy safety, trauma-awareness, and nervous system regulation matter more than “fancy flows”What makes yin yoga uniquely powerful for integration, embodiment, and healingIf you’ve ever wondered why your yoga practice didn’t fully shift the patterns you were hoping it would, or if you’ve felt like “something deeper” was missing, this conversation is for you.If today’s episode resonated with you and curious to experience how this works in practice, I invite you to explore it through my free resource: The Emotional and Nervous System Yin Reset. 15: When Spirituality Becomes Avoidance: Understanding Spiritual Bypassing

Have you ever felt out of place in a yoga or spiritual space, surrounded by all the “good vibes”, but inside something just didn’t sit right? That subtle discomfort, what I call the spiritual ick, often points to something deeper being avoided. In this episode, I explore spiritual bypassing: when spiritual language or practices are used to dismiss real emotions, grief, trauma, or responsibility. We’ll look at:What spiritual bypassing is and how it shows up in yoga and wellness spacesCommon phrases that can unintentionally create harmThe consequences bypassing has on our nervous system and healing journeyWhy integration, embodiment, and grounded practices matter more than “high vibe only”How to create yoga spaces where all of you is welcomeIf you’ve ever rolled your eyes at “just let go” or felt unseen in a yoga class that pushed positivity over reality, this conversation is for you.If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856Try the free Emotional & Nervous System Yin Reset, designed for you to experience how my integrated signature approach The Meridian-Emotion-Nervous System Yoga Method works:https://greenomlet.kit.com/3a39c33ccc Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand:14-23 Dec 2025 https://tri.ps/Aximf20-29 Jan 2026 https://tri.ps/YjTBO2-11 Mar 2026 https://tri.ps/zMgTI12-21 Apr 2026 https://tri.ps/SNpHU1-10 Jun 2026 https://tri.ps/HSIje Join the waitlist of my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training launching December 2025:https://greenomlet.kit.com/bba2aad3e1 Join the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand:4-8 Oct 2025 https://tri.ps/nrlWr Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching in early 2026:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3 Check out what my previous graduates share about their experience: https://youtu.be/taDFLfa7rM4 Teacher Training Demo Video:https://youtu.be/LNVceTgK4CQ Work with me 1-1: https://greenomlet.kit.com/fcf19e4a4f Subscribe to my channels, so you don’t miss future episodes 😊

14: The Truth About Triggers in Yoga: What Every Teacher & Practitioner Needs to Know

Triggers in yoga are real, and they show up for both students and teachers, yet they’re rarely talked about openly. In this episode, we explore what triggers are, why they happen, and how they relate to trauma stored in the body. You’ll learn: How even seemingly “safe” postures like Child’s Pose, Happy Baby, or Puppy Pose can activate the nervous system. Why verbal cues, touch, stillness, or breath practices can unintentionally trigger trauma. How to respond with choice, agency, and compassion instead of avoidance. Whether you’re a yoga teacher who wants to guide students safely, or a practitioner seeking a deeper understanding of your own nervous system, this episode will give you tools to navigate triggers without shame or fear. I also share why avoidance doesn’t help healing, and how understanding triggers is a core part of my courses, where we dive deeply into safe, empowering teaching practices and nervous system awareness. 13: Touch Can Heal or Harm – How Ethical Touch & Informed Consent Transform Yoga Spaces

Touch in yoga can be one of the most supportive tools for healing, or one of the most harmful one.The difference? It’s not the adjustment itself, but how, why, and with what awareness it’s offered. In this episode, we dive into the deeply important (and often overlooked) topic of ethical touch and informed, ongoing, explicit consent in yoga spaces. We’ll explore:Why consent cards and “one-time agreements” don’t actually protect studentsHow trauma responses like freeze and fawn can turn a “yes” into a hidden “no”What safe, trauma-informed touch looks and feels like (and when not to use it at all)Why informed consent is not a checkbox, but a continuous, fluid processHow to read non-verbal cues and respond with attunementThe truth that touch in yoga is never neutral, it can either regulate or retraumatize. If you’re a teacher, this is about shifting from “I know what’s best” to recognizing your students as the experts of their own bodies. If you’re a practitioner, this episode will give you language and awareness to advocate for yourself and your boundaries in class.✨ This is exactly why I created my trainings:The 100HR Trauma-Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians TTC (for teachers ready to integrate trauma-informed tools deeply into their yin practice and teaching)The 30HR Trauma Awareness Training (for teachers and practitioners wanting essential, practical skills in trauma awareness and space holding, without committing to a 100 hours course)Because at the end of the day, students won’t remember the “perfect” alignment cue or sequence. They’ll remember how safe they felt in your presence.Touch can heal. Touch can harm. Let’s make sure we’re using it with integrity, clarity, and care.If this resonates and you feel called to this work, I invite you take the first gentle steps:Download my free eBook: Meridians & Emotions and Yin Yoga https://greenomlet.kit.com/37e3011856 Watch my free Trauma Awareness Webinar - Trauma Informed Yoga Foundations:https://greenomlet.kit.com/6bfdbb9108 Join my next live 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training in Thailand:14-23 Dec 2025 https://tri.ps/Aximf20-29 Jan 2026 https://tri.ps/YjTBO2-11 Mar 2026 https://tri.ps/zMgTI Join the waitlist of my online self-paced 100HR Trauma Informed Yin Yoga & Chinese Meridians Teacher Training launching December 2025:https://greenomlet.kit.com/bba2aad3e1 Join the live 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course in Thailand:4-8 Oct 2025 https://tri.ps/nrlWr Join the waitlist of the online self-paced 30HR The Art of Trauma-Informed Space Holding course launching in early 2026:https://greenomlet.kit.com/af6ac132a3 Check out what my previous graduates share about their experience:https://youtu.be/taDFLfa7rM4 Teacher Training Demo Video:https://youtu.be/LNVceTgK4CQ Work with me 1-1: https://greenomlet.kit.com/fcf19e4a4f Subscribe to my channels, so you don’t miss future episodes :)

When we talk about trauma-informed yoga, two words carry immense weight: self-regulation and co-regulation. They might sound technical, but they’re anything but. These are deeply human skills, the invisible threads that help us stay steady in our own nervous system, and allow us to meet others with presence, safety, and compassion. In this episode, I explore: ✨ What self-regulation really is (and how to practice it as a teacher or practitioner) ✨ The role of co-regulation and how our nervous systems impact one another ✨ Why creating safety matters more than perfect cues or sequencing ✨ Common classroom experiences where regulation skills make all the difference ✨ Simple grounding & centering techniques I use before every class to show up centered and steady Because here’s the truth: when students walk into class, they don’t just bring their bodies. They bring their stories, their stress, their emotions, and their nervous systems. And as teachers (or even as fellow practitioners), how we regulate ourselves and how we show up for others shapes the entire experience. This is why self-regulation and co-regulation are at the heart of trauma-informed yoga. 11: Attunement & Space Holding: The Missing Skills That Separate Good Teachers from Transformative Ones

Yoga is not just about sequencing, cues, or playlists. What truly transforms a class is how safe, seen, and supported your students feel in your presence. In this episode, I explore: What attunement really is, and how it shapes the nervous system state of your students The art of space holding and why it matters more than the “perfect” class plan Why the antidote to anxiety isn’t calm, but safety Practical attunement tools you can start using today Red flags that signal when a space isn’t truly safe This isn’t about fixing anyone or being endlessly calm. It’s about presence over performance. It’s about learning how to co-regulate, how to notice the subtle cues, and how to create an environment where students can truly rest into themselves. If you’ve ever felt that something was missing in your yoga teacher training when it comes to safety, trauma awareness, and the nervous system, you’re not wrong. Most trainings don’t teach this. And yet, these are the exact skills that separate a good teacher from a transformative one.
