Listening to the Body: Healing Pain through Kindness

In this episode, I’m joined by Arianna Montanari, yoga teacher, beekeeper, and creator of natural skincare, for a gentle, honest conversation about pain and healing. We explore how pain can reduce when we meet the body with kindness rather than force, and how movement doesn’t have to be violent or pushing to be effective. Arianna shares how years of living for others and outsourcing her power intensified her pain, and how everything shifted when she chose to listen to her body instead. By learning her body’s own language and treating it with care, her relationship with pain transformed. This episode is an invitation to soften, take your power back, and meet your body as an ally rather than something to fix. The Recurring Nights I Woke to the Smell of Smoke

It's our monthly dreamwork podcast with my dear friend, Shauna. We explored the living language of dreams, the symbols, sensations, colours, and moments that rise up from the subconscious / psyche to speak to us in the night. We talk about how dreams aren’t random stories. They’re experiences,  felt in the body before they’re ever understood in the mind. They’re pulsing with emotional truth, pointing us toward fulfillment, depth, pleasure, and the parts of ourselves we’ve forgotten to listen to. And then… we go into a listeners recurring dreams  the one where the smell of smoke jolts her awake, where panic floods her where the hallway glows orange like a fire, and where she run toward her children on the other side of the living room.  We explore many angles this dream might be taking the dreamer on, and we trust our insights will bring the dreamer some softness, an opening and a deeper connection with this dream and its message.  Shauna and I are so very honoured to hold your dreams and explore them on this podcast. if you would like us to explore yours, please share them using this link.  To connect with Shauna Instagram: @dreamingwithshauna website: www.spiraljourneydreamwork.com To connect with Lucy Instagram: @lucyellis_therapy website: www.lucyellis.com.au

You Can’t Feel Your Design Until You Feel Your Body

In this episode I sit down with somatic coach Kari Hovik for a powerful conversation about what it actually means to embody your Human Design, not from the mind, but from the body. We talk about what it looks like to live as each time in real time:to hold your energy, and to walk through the world as you, not the version of you that’s been coached, corrected, or talked out of your natural power.  Kari shares how the mind will always try to pull us away from our truth… but until our nervous system is regulated, grounded, and rested, we can’t truly access the fullness of our Human design. If your mind is running the show right now, let this episode be an invitation to pause, soften your body, and come home to your inner rhythm. First the nervous system settles… then the body comes online… then your design wakes up. This is how we feel it. This is how we respond / Initiate / reflect / receive This is how we arrive as ourselves. A must-listen if you want to move out of overthinking and into embodied living.      In today’s episode, I sit down with Vibrant Kylie from Young Warrior Hearts. Now she pours that wisdom into children and teens, helping them see that they are the hero in their own story. Through storytelling, imagination, and the magic of being truly seen, Kylie gives young people a language for their inner world and in doing so, she continues to heal the little 7-year-old girl inside herself. Money, Men & God: A Life Held by Love

In this episode, I sit down with my coach, Casey Warwick, for a deep, heart-led conversation about being in service, to love, to God, and to life itself. Together, we explore how devotion and daily acts of love create the foundation for provision, trust, and deeper connection. What We Talk About: What it really means to be of service, not for recognition or reward, but as an offering to love itself. The small, everyday ripples of service that open the heart: a softened tone, an honest word, a quiet act of kindness. Why those who give to get burn out fast, and how true service keeps you open to divine provision. Casey’s initiation into trust,  in God, in relationships, and in her own vulnerability. Relearning partnership and building new foundations of honesty, connection, and faith. The link between trusting God and trusting men and how control and clinging block the flow of what’s truly meant for us. The cost of self-abandonment and how resentment is often a sign we’ve said “no” to ourselves somewhere along the way. Why you can’t miss what’s for you but you can block yourself from receiving it.  Strap in, its a great episode with lots of takeaways.  To join Casey and Jai's new program - Money, Men and God click here To get The Advent calendar for your heart click here

The Girl Inside: Coming Home to Your Inner Child

In this episode, I sit down with Laura Summs, a therapist and inner-child advocate, to explore the tender art of re-parenting the parts of us that learned to stay quiet. We talk about how the inner children in the shadow the ones who hide behind perfectionism, people-pleasing, or emotional shutdown are often the ones most in need of our love. Laura shares how to begin building trust with those younger parts, so they feel safe enough to show themselves and soften. Because until we take them seriously… until we hold them in love… we’ll keep replaying our old adaptive patterns, still trying to earn safety instead of embodying it. This conversation is an invitation to meet your inner child with curiosity, compassion, and a promise: you’re safe with me now. Listen in for stories, practices, and gentle reminders that healing comes from finally loving all the pieces you once left behind.

Why You Keep Dreaming You Forgot Your Shoes (or Showed Up Late)

Lucy and Shauna unpack a recurring dream that so many of us secretly know, turning up somewhere important without shoes, or being late and terrified of getting in trouble. Our dreamer has had this dream since high school: she shows up to school or work barefoot or in slippers, or arrives late and spirals into panic instead of simply calling ahead. Slow as a Revolution: Why Feminine Embodiment Matters Right Now!

In this episode, I sit down with a Karina Gutierrez, a beautiful feminine embodiment coach to talk about why feminine embodiment isn’t just a practice, it’s a revolution. We dive into: Why the world is crying out for the feminine right now. How living in overdrive and burnout has become the “norm” and why we can’t sustain it. The truth about how women have been taught to meet the masculine with more masculine, creating competition instead of polarity. The power of nourishing our feminine, reclaiming slowness, and letting it be the starting point of change. Energy Doesn’t Lie: The Truth About the Spleen Centre

In this episode I sit down with my Human Design bestie, Bec Carey, to dive deep into the mysteries of the Spleen Centre. Bec brings the perspective of a defined spleen, while I share from my experience of being undefined, and together we open up a powerful conversation about health, intuition, safety, and risk. We explore: How defined spleens can be less in tune with their health, while undefined spleens are hyper-aware of it. The difference between splenic intuition (that quiet knowing) and sacral response (that fire and turn-on). Why it’s not about listening to words, but reading energy, because energy never lies. Risk-taking tendencies of the undefined spleen, and the lessons that only arrive when boundaries get pushed too far. How to check in with your body to feel what’s truly right for you. Cooking in a Collapsing House - A Dreamwork Podcast

In this episode of our Dreamwork Podcast, Shauna and I explore the dream of a house that looks appealing and modest from the outside… but inside, the foundations are falling apart. In the kitchen, two partners are cooking as if nothing is wrong. We dive into the symbolism of houses as the self, the tension between façades and unstable foundations, and what it means when others seem to ignore the collapse around us. This dream opens the door to big questions of attachment bonds, relationship wounds, inner child work and repeating old patterns.    If you would like Shauna and I to discuss your dream,  We would love to. Root Centre talk with Bec

In this episode, Bec and I dive deep into the Root Centre in Human Design, the centre of pressure, adrenaline, and movement. Bec has her Root defined, while mine is undefined, so you’ll hear us explore both sides of this energy and how it shows up in our lives. We talk about: - The pressure I feel to move fast and “do, do, do” when I’m around defined roots - The art (and necessity) of slowing down, settling, and relaxing with an undefined root - The grounded, solid presence of defined root people (you can even hear it in the way they walk!) - How those of us with undefined roots can feel lighter, floatier, and sometimes unsettled in comparison - The beauty of noticing your family’s “root energy” and how it impacts the household vibe This conversation is all about learning to honour your natural rhythm instead of forcing yourself into someone else’s pace. Join the Heart Cave Your pain is not something to fix, but something to walk with? In this gentle, soulful conversation, two counsellors, Lucy and Skye sit together in the rawness of life’s hardest moments and explore how we honour what we’re going through. We talk about grief, change, growth, and the beautiful complexities of being human. Skye shares her reverence for each client’s inner wisdom the truth that we already carry what we need, even in our most vulnerable seasons. Together, we reflect on how our pain shifts over time, inviting us into deeper layers of ourselves. This episode is an offering to anyone who feels like they’re holding something heavy. We don’t promise quick fixes we promise presence. Because when pain is honoured, it softens. When struggle is witnessed, it can breathe. And when we walk with what hurts instead of pushing it away, we get to live a life not just despite it… but because of it. We speak to: 🌿 Navigating grief, pain, and emotional growth 🌿 Meeting yourself with compassion through every stage 🌿 Carrying pain lightly not by denying it, but by making space for it 🌿 How presence, connection, and shared humanity help us keep going This is for the tender-hearted, the weary, the ones doing their best to stay open in a world that hurts sometimes. Don’t Fight the Feelings — Learn to Ride the Wave instead: A Guide for Emotional Authorities in Human Design

Get your Bestie and join the Heart Cave MAY special Don’t fight the feelings, learn to ride the wave instead. We had a plan for this episode. But emotions had other ideas. We were meant to be talking about the Spleen... Instead, Bec and I got completely swept up in our waves and landed, unsurprisingly, at the Solar Plexus. Because that’s what it’s like being an emotional authority. Some days you’re floating on your back with the sun kissing your face. Other days, you’re getting sand rash on your cheeks and wondering if you’ll ever breathe again. Both Bec and I have our Solar Plexus defined, and this conversation is a deep, honest, and slightly hilarious unpacking of what it’s like to ride the emotional wave while navigating life, relationships, clarity, and recovery time. Yes, emotional hangovers are real. Yes, sometimes we want to speed it up and get over it. But clarity, as we’ve learned, doesn’t live in the urgency. It lives in the pause. The bottom of the wave. The muddy middle. Bec also referenced a brilliant resource:“Solar Plexus Center in Human Design” from Human Archetypes—definitely worth checking out if you want to go deeper. This one’s for the feelers. For the ones who’ve tried to numb it, rush it, override it... And are finally ready to accept their emotional authority. We’d love to hear from you, whether your Solar Plexus is defined or undefined, what has your wave taught you? DM us or drop us a voice note. We’re in this sea together. You’re Not Crazy, You’re Changing - A Relationship Talk for Menopausal Women

This is the episode every woman navigating the change needs to hear. Lucy is joined by therapist Tracy Proud from Nest Counselling for a raw, compassionate conversation about what really happens inside our relationships during perimenopause and menopause. Together, they unpack: Why this phase of life brings such intensity to our intimate relationships How childhood wounds resurface — not to sabotage us, but to be seen and healed The rising divorce rates in midlife, and the staggering number of women who later regret those decisions How to stop projecting onto your partner and start getting honest about what you’re experiencing Why open-hearted communication (even when it’s messy) matters more than ever The added complexity when neurodivergence is present in the household How to hold space for yourself and your relationship — without losing who you are This isn’t about blaming hormones or partners — it’s about reclaiming this time as a portal for deeper connection, healing, and truth. If you’re in the thick of it or love someone who is, this one’s for you. A conversation to remind you: you’re not broken, you’re becoming. Confessions of a recovering Co-Dependent Therapist

Together we explore: The co-dependent patterns we didn’t see coming. Why our work can’t fill the void (we are not here to save our clients) The identity unraveling that happens when we start choosing us. The Therapy Session Was Over, But Then the Real Work Began

Therapy isn’t just about what happens in the session—it’s about what happens after. It’s about how we take what we uncovered, sit with it, integrate it, and let it move through us. Yesterday, I did just that. I stopped. I let go. And I let something unexpected happen. My inner child took over, and she wrote a poem. A love letter. A goodbye. To my sweet boy, Zulu. This episode is about receiving yourself—through grief, through creation, through the messy, beautiful emotions that come when we finally stop doing and just let ourselves feel. It’s about the power of integration after therapy, and how sometimes, the real healing begins when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start witnessing what’s already here. 💛 In this episode, we dive into: Why therapy is only the beginning—the real work happens in the integration space How writing & creativity can help you receive your emotions instead of resisting them The power of witnessing yourself through spoken word & self-expression Why we over-give, over-do, and struggle to just be (and how to shift into receivership) A deeply personal reading of my poem for Zulu—and how grief, love, and creativity intertwine This episode will hit you in the heart. It’s for anyone who’s navigating emotions, craving space to receive themselves, or wondering what to do after therapy opens something up inside them. 💌 Loved this episode? Becoming and Becoming Again: Returning to the Unstoried Self

In this episode, I’m joined by the incredible Roxy, a woman who is still becoming, forever changing, and learning to rediscover herself through the quiet whispers of her internal intelligence. Roxy opens up about her journey out of a toxic domestic violence relationship, sharing how she tapped into this deep wisdom within—allowing it to guide her, heal her, and lead her to peace. She talks about the power of not getting stuck in the stories we tell ourselves, and how through breath, guided meditation, and touch, we can reconnect to our bodies’ wisdom. This isn’t just about healing; it’s about coming home to love—pure, peaceful, and accepting love that allows us to giggle at ourselves and see the humor in the human experience.   For Roxy, this connection to her internal intelligence wasn’t just a tool—it became a necessity. As she started to listen and trust this deeper knowing, it was like a miracle unfolding. The relief she felt from stepping out of the story and into the space of peace and acceptance is something she now cannot live without. In this conversation, we dive deep into what it means to return to the unstoried self, to laugh at the humanness of it all, and to embrace the love that comes from truly being in tune with who we are. These aren’t just feel-good buzzwords; they’re scientifically proven to improve your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I’ll share why reconnecting with your inner world is the key to breaking free from these patterns and opening the door to a life filled with love, creativity, and abundance. We’ll explore how emotional healing rewires your brain, transforms your relationships, and sets the stage for a happier, more expansive life. Rebuilding the bridge to your Inner Child

In this episode, I’m diving into the delicate and beautiful process of building trust with your inner child. At first, it might feel awkward or even uncomfortable—after all, if she’s been silenced or ignored for years, why would she believe that it’s safe to come out now? I’ll share how to approach this inner work with compassion, patience, and a whole lot of love, so you can create a relationship with your inner child that feels nurturing and supportive. When she trusts you, life becomes more vibrant, joyful, and deeply fulfilling. I also talk about the importance of allowing emotions—both the messy and the magical—to flow through you as part of this process. Building trust with your inner child means holding space for her feelings without judgment, letting her know it’s safe to express herself fully. If you’re ready to begin this journey of trust and healing, you won’t want to miss this episode. When Life Feels Dusty - Finding the Forgotten Rooms of Your Potential in your dreams

The dream we explore in this podcast:  I’m in a house (sometimes it’s as if I’m at an open home with other people walking around other times it’s my own house and I’m home alone) It’s usually dark and dusty inside and I come across a door that no one else seems to notice. When I go through the door there’s a whole other section of the house that no one else knows about. It’s huge…another kitchen, lounge area, indoor pool, bed room etc. and I just explore it on my own. It’s also dusty and a bit rundown as if no one’s been in there for a long time.
