    11. I ran my first 50k of the year! Get the inside scoop on my highs, lows, race plan and mentality while running 32 miles.

    On February 17, 2024 I raced in the Roaring Gap 50k here in North Carolina. It was an 8-mile loop course that I completed 4 times- including over 7,000 feet of elevation gain throughout the race. I discuss my personal race plan, what George my running coaching told me the day before, why I'm working on not being angry while I run, and how I achieved my goal of running under 9 hours. I briefly touch on the fact that I haven't always been proud of my physical performances, and crying at the finish line reflected the pride I felt again! I head into my next 50k on March 16, 2024 in Virginia and then onto my final goal of the Hydrating Humanity 50 miler on April 20, 2024.     Shelby has a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from Oklahoma State, and now works her dream job as an Ag Retail Rep specializing in an all-natural backyard chicken product line in farm and feed stores across the country.     Jordan Fong, who I had the privilege of coaching, is a retired college athlete who competed for both Stanford University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.     4. Animal-Based Nutrition + Food System, what it IS and what it ISN'T!

    Animal-based nutrition is not dogmatic, its not elitist and its not difficult- its just different than the current American way of obtaining food. An animal-based food system will always be the most stable, the most nutritionally dense, the most forgiving, the most attainable for all income families, and the most fulfilling.     3. Will Strength Training Make Me Bulky? A case for being a "lean mean mama machine" over being a "cardio bunny".

    Every woman should be strength training, regardless of demographic. Strength training increases metabolism, improves body composition, insulin sensitivity and posture, decreases blood pressure and resting heart rate while improving digestion and sleep. Oh, and it makes you more confident, promise! Kelsee talks through the main questions she gets about strength training, addresses some of the biggest myths behind strength training (don't have enough time, will it make me big?!, etc.) and why she's chosen it to be one of her main pillars to Moore & Company.     2. My Testimony, How Jesus is Refining Who I Am

    More Christians need to share their testimony- how they found Jesus and how He's changed, refined and shaped their lives. I GO FIRST! It can be hard and vulnerable to share, but I want people to be attracted to my Jesus through me. I need to, at the very least, share my journey of being a Christian and how my judgement + elitism is continually being humbled. I talk about how my saint-of-a-counselor in Kansas redefined the way I need to view people who are struggling, how to pray for those who are "rough around the edges" and how I uniquely have been given the ability to share the Gospel with the guys at work, despite the hard-to-understand gender roles that the "Church" can often give women. I don't have church hurt, so you won't find that here! But what you will find is a gal who wants JUSTICE!!!! And why that isn't always the best answer.
