Peace in the Mess: A Gentle Way to Find Calm Again

What if the mess... isn't the problem? In today's episode, I share a real life moment when my chicks got out and everything turned into little chicken chaos-feathers, mess and all. Instead of rushing to fix it, what if we pause and notice our thoughts of possibly "this should not be happening."When we question our stories around the "mess in life" often our story is bigger than the mess. This is where all the stress comes from. This is a quiet invitation to:release resistance to what's happeningmeet the moment without judgementfind calm, even when life feels overwhelmingInspired by a book I read long ago, Byron Katie's book on "Loving What Is"Take a breath...and come back to yourself."I meet this moment as it is"I'd love to connect! Presence, Creativity and Trust

Finding Stillness in a Busy LifeLife can feel a little or a lot overwhelming and busy. Our minds can follow these rhythms if we are not aware and allow that to happen. We can go from one task to the next, one worry to the next. In this episode, we explore the simple practice of returning to the present moment.Through allowing our minds to come back to center, allowing ourselves to come back to the moment, to where we are on this earth, we can center. Through mindfulness, small creative moments, and a gentle reflection on fatih and trust, this episode invites you to pause and reconnect with what is happening right now. You'll also hear how creativity- whether painting, journaling, cooking, you fill in the blank, can help quiet the mind and bring you back to a place of calm. In this episode we explore:Returning to present momentHow creativity can calm the mindA simple one-minute mindfulness practiceTrusting the process and taking small steps of faithA small practice for today:Take one minute to pause. Notice your breath, your surroundings, and how your body feels. If you'd like, try a creative act-a few lines in a journal, a quick sketch, a new recipe, or simply doing something with your hands while staying present. Let it be simple, let it be imperfect.Presence often begins with one small moment. I would love to hear your thoughts on your creative choice. Let me know-info@lavendermind. comHave a wonderful day! In this Episode, We Talk About:Why the pressure to stay high vibe can feel overwhelmingHow the thought "I should be somewhere else by now" creates nervous system tensionThe difference between grounding and bypassingA shift to help bring you back to the present momentA Grounding Reframe from the Episode:Instead of fighting where I think I should be, I choose to honor where I am.Right now, this is where I am.This is NOT giving up on growth-It's stopping the war with the present so the body can settle.Thank you for being here. Big Trust, Puppies and Pillows

Trust sounds spiritual....Until my nice pillows are chewed! ????What does trust look like in real life?Sometimes it looks like a brand-new puppy.Chewed pillows. And standing in the middle of what looks lide snow-except you live in southern Louisiana, and it's actually pillow stuffing scattered everywhere. In this episode, we talk about trust as a practice, not a personality trait. Not something you "have" once life feels safe-but something you return to again and again, right in the middle of uncertainty, mess and everyday moments. We explore:-Why trust is really about where your attention goes-How gratitude gently calms the nervous system without pretending everything is fine-What it means to regulate worries to the periphery instead of letting them sit at the center of your mind-And how coming back to center-again and again-is its own form of trustThis is a quiet reflective episode, with a little bit of life humor that I seem to never escape. It is a reminder that you don't have to solve the worlds problems or your own to feel into this Trust. We can always choose where our attention goes.Closing idea- "I come back to center, again and again."If you enjoyed this, share it with someone you think would enjoy it. I always appreciate you being here! If you would like to get in touch with me. [email protected] and have a wonderful day!!!! Perfection is Not Peace

Perfection often looks like responsibility. Like maturity. Like "doing things right."It is great to hold yourself to a high standard. I am not saying laziness is the winner here.Often times perfection is fear dressed up in a costume. It says, wait, polish and postpone. In this episode, I share why perfection doesn't bring peace, and how waiting for the right time can keep us disconnected from what matters most. This episode is an invitation to stop waiting for ideal conditions-and make space for what matters, right now.In this episode, we explore:Why perfection is often about control, not excellenceHow waiting for the "perfect time" delays lifeHow imperfect beginnings can become powerful go-lightsA simple reframe to help you move forward without pressureWhat is something meaningful you've been postponing because life feels too full-and where could you make a small space for it today?"You don't need perfect conditions-just a place to begin."Thank you for being here, have a wonderful day.

Kick and Smile, One Square at a Time

What if the way through fear isn't figuring everything out-but taking the next small, brave step?In this episode, I share two simple stories-painting with a 13 year old neighbor and dancing with my mom at my wedding-that reveal a truth: peace lives in the present. We explore how overwhelm comes from trying to hold the whole canvas of life at once, and how returning to one square at a time allows courage, creativity, and divine guidance to meet us right where we are. This episode is an invitation to stop waiting for certainty and start moving with trust. Sometimes, all you need to do is kick and smile!Takeaway:One square, One kick, One brave breathe at a time.Reflection:Where in your life are you trying to see the whole picture instead of focusing on the square right in front of you?
