Episode 25 – SOUL FOCUS: The Power of Creation – How Our Thoughts & Feelings Shape Our Reality

How can we be ‘creative’ when creativity and being a creator are not taught in education?  Cassie leads this insightful episode of the Soulful Reawakening podcast, introducing us to how our conscious and subconscious mind works. She explains how we can control our thoughts and feelings to create what we want in life and shares practical tips for using sleep, prayer, and visualisation to manifest our desires. Cassie poses thoughtful questions for Anna and E-J about suppressing feelings, accepting our thoughts as accurate (or not), and cause and effect. The conversation unpicks a spiritual topic, making it easy to digest the interconnection between our conscious and subconscious minds.  E-J suggests we are a by-product of our habits – good or bad – and Anna describes how her current routines feed into her future self vision. Cassie encourages us to remember our true magnificence and that creating our true being is essential for conscious creation.  Our thoughts create form and sometimes (many times) we must let go of things needing to be a certain way in order to step into our creator being.  Listen to this intuitive episode to learn more about reaching your full potential and harnessing the power of the conscious and subconscious mind. _ _ _ Thank you so much for listening. How can we slow down and experience the enjoyment of the here and now without niggling anxieties creeping in? In this episode of Soulful Reawakening, Cassie and E-J explore the concept of alignment and living in the present moment. An oracle card inspires and reminds the duo to let go of worrying about the future and to find peace in the present. Episode 23 – Overthinking, Overpreparing and Creating Flow

How can you tell when you are experiencing a state of flow? Anna and Cassie talk about personal situations of being in and out of flow on today’s podcast and encourage you to notice the positive aspects of being ‘in flow’.  Anna shares the experience of presenting her first journalling workshop and how she took a different approach in preparing a single-page overview of notes and three exercises. The result was a completely different experience to the gut-wrenching nerves felt from previous presentations when she overprepared. Cassie talks about her HR and corporate experiences and highlights what happens when a simple presentation becomes not so simple when we’re trying too hard to impress or make a difference! She shares a simple exercise to illustrate how to feel comfort and tension in our bodies. While it might be considered the right thing or the only way to address anxieties around an uncertain future, overthinking and overpreparing can suppress creativity and authenticity. When we notice what it feels like to be in flow, it’s easier to slide into its positive state and spot what incidents or triggers knock us out. Tune in to this episode and learn how to find your flow and become naturally more energetically aligned with yourself and more engaging and encouraging in the eyes of others. _ _ _ Thank you so much for listening. Episode 22 – What Roles Do Loyalty and Fickleness Play in Life?

What do the words ‘loyal’ and ‘fickle’ mean to you, and how do they show up in your personal and professional routines and with connections? On this episode of Soulful Reawakening, Anna, Cassie, and E-J pick a card from a new ‘Clear Thinking’ pack and encourage you to seek answers to a question you’re contemplating. The card has two sides, which provoke a deep conversation about the dynamic between pets and children and the love they both bring to family units and individuals.  A theme of nurturing weaves through today’s discussion, following both abstract and figurative threads. Cassie asks if we are being loyal to ourselves and our inner child, Anna reflects on the beasts (or big challenges) we face, and E-J talks about polarities.   The card's flip side presents a different message that incites more questions and thoughts – not hostile oppositions, but different perspectives from an ever-changing world. Listen to this conversation as an invitation to be loyal to yourself, consider who you really are and pay attention to what you feel to be true. Episode 21 – BODY FOCUS: Perimenopause, Menopause – The Signs, Symptoms and Support

Are you in your mid-30s to mid-50s and feel as though you could be struggling with the effects of perimenopause and menopause? Don’t stay quiet and ‘get on with it’. Talk, seek support and carry on living life to the max. E-J leads this episode of the Soulful Reawakening podcast, focusing on the effects of perimenopause and menopause. She identifies why females experience this stage of life and what they can expect regarding physical and emotional signs and symptoms.  E-J discusses the importance of exercise to help counteract the effects of perimenopause and menopause, but also as a preventative measure. As well as providing a boost of energy, body weight and resistance exercises can guard against depleting oestrogen levels. It’s not only us that this phase affects. The impacts can stretch to all relationships because changing hormones influence moods, emotions and identities. Talking about perimenopause and menopause is the first place to start, and the trio openly talk about their own experiences and share valuable resources to learn more and to track emotional and physical symptoms.  Listen to this informative episode to hear more about a period in life that affects all females (and their friends, family and work colleagues), and act now with E-J’s call to action steps. _ _ _ Thank you so much for listening. Episode 19 – Who is Your Magnificent Me?

How do you define yourself and are there areas in life where you may be dimming your shine? Cassie and E-J jump straight into this Soulful Reawakening episode by pulling a card from the Divine Feminine Oracle Card Deck to seek inspiration into the magnificent. ‘I am the voice of my body and soul, and I choose the life I want to live.’ Wow, how powerful are these words as an affirmation? Affirmations are truths we can draw encouragement and empowerment from every day in our exploration to find our magnificence.  During times of trauma, milestone points in life and after significant change, we can find ourselves questioning if there is more to life. Do you ever find yourself suppressing your authentic self and going with the flow, even though it feels unnatural to you, just to fit in or because of societal and peer pressures? E-J discusses goal setting and how the menstrual cycle can affect women's physical training and exercise. She recommends ‘Psycho-cybernetics’ by Maxwell Maltz for a spot of honest reading and mindset-shifting. Cassie explores defining yourself by the roles you play in life in various situations and shares how she rediscovered herself after leaving the corporate world of HR and executive coaching. Title: Episode 18 – Tapping into Spirituality

What role does spirituality play in your life, and how does it impact your wellbeing?   This is a huge question poised on the lips of many. In this episode, the Soulful Reawakening trio opens the lid on spirituality and discusses how we can tap into our incredible selves without being ‘woo woo’.   There are no rules when it comes to spirituality. Spirituality can provide a much-needed soulful reawakening when life serves up challenges or we question what it’s all about.   Our logical brain tends to try to make sense of everything, which can block us from tapping into our spiritual side. Rationality and living inside our heads prevent us from being creative and living our best lives. Following the rules of others or putting others first is the opposite of pursuing our authentic destiny and what we desire.   Anna, Cassie and E-J share their journey and perspective on spirituality and how they incorporate spiritual practises into daily life. The conversation delves into having a sense of connection, mindfulness, meditation, and the role of escapism as a coping strategy for life’s stresses.   The hosts consider how we can stop our brains from thinking in favour of simply sitting and being. Listen to this episode for ideas about living in the present and being aware of what’s around you instead of being inside your head or multitasking. Episode 17 – MIND FOCUS: Becoming More Adaptable, Creative and Ways to Reframe Negative Narratives

Uncertainty and challenges are inevitable, but how can you embrace ambiguity and complex situations while maintaining positivity?  Anna leads this episode of the Soulful Reawakening podcast by introducing ways to take uncertainty and challenges in our stride. By approaching situations with an openness to different perspectives and curiosity, we can cultivate a growth mindset, staying positive, creative and flexible.  Anna encourages us to share five things in our journals that help us seek out life's positive and joyful aspects. She invites Cassie and E-J to share their thoughts, and, as usual, the conversation develops in an abundance of different directions that bring value and insight. A powerful suggestion from Cassie is to ‘observe, not absorb’ what’s going on in front of us. What can we learn?  To help us get to grips with our thoughts, feelings and emotions, Anna shares a free app that prompts us to log how we feel throughout the day. Keeping a log of our moods and the incidents that lead to us feeling that way highlights trends and provides evidence we can work with and grow from.  Finally, Anna shares a few examples of positive language that help reframe typical negative narratives when things don’t go according to plan – I can’t, I don’t know, I’m scared, I’ve failed. We’ve all thought or said them! Listen to this informative episode and learn how to slow down, be gentle to yourself, and spot the signs life offers as lessons and opportunities. _ _ _ Thank you so much for listening. Episode 16 – Finding the Gold at Rock Bottom and Letting Go

Do you ever feel like you’ve reached ‘rock bottom’, can’t understand how you got there, or see any way to pull yourself up or out? In this episode of the Soulful Reawakening podcast, Anna, Cassie, and E-J pull a card for inspiration and let chance guide the conversation. Colette Baron-Reid’s Enchanted Map Oracle Cards presents the ‘rock bottom’ card as a symbol for addiction in all forms, subtle and obvious.  Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results will never provide you with what you desire, so how do we change for the better and what steps can we take when we feel there is nowhere else to go? Sometimes, the only way to go is up. Still, it takes courage to overcome the insanity of hanging onto something that isn’t serving us well and letting go – physically, mentally or spiritually.  The trio contemplate the card and surprisingly come up with different interpretations and actions, including the metaphorical flow of water, holding onto traumas and past experiences by being a victim of your perceptions, and asking for support (like a good bra, as pointed out by E-J) when you need it. Listen to this episode and consider what ‘rock bottom’ means to you. Episode 15 –Launching into the New Year, Setting Goals & Resolutions – Meh!

Have you hit the ground running this year? Research suggests the most popular resolutions for 2024 are exercising more (who knew?), weight loss, and dietary improvements.   A new year is typically a time of planning and goal setting. Yet the so-called New Year’s Resolutions are inherently flawed, with a whopping 69% failing to keep them (Yougov.co.uk). According to 2023 statistics from Forbes Advisor, less than one in five people in the UK set resolutions last year. However, this year, around 51% of those aged 18-34, 34% aged 35-54, and 12% of those aged 55 and over will be setting goals. Does this suggest we become jaded with the concept as we age? Perhaps. Join Anna, Cassie and E-J in the first Soulful Reawakening episode of 2024 as they share their feelings around the New Year and discuss whether they’ve launched or eased forward. Resolutions, goals, intentions, or the latest trend to set a word of the year are prime topics of conversation. But how vested are we in maintaining the focus long-term? The trio chat about movement, nourishment and nurturing, along with a few real-world examples, to encourage us to think about ourselves and what really matters throughout the next twelve months.  Listen to this impromptu episode and be ready to ask a few questions about how you stay on track and nurture yourself in 2024. _ _ _ Thank you so much for listening. Episode 14 – Who Are You Really?

Who are you? And what is your purpose on planet Earth? How we identify presents a deep and meaningful conversation that asks how we see ourselves in the eyes of our ‘self’ and the eyes of others.  Are you completely in alignment with who you feel you need to be? Perhaps you’re in a transition period and have questions. Or maybe you don’t have a clue and are intrigued to learn more.  This latest Soulful Reawakening podcast digs deep and encourages us to be curious about what we want, who we are – and what it all means. To help explore the topic, Cassie pulls a card from Caroline Myss’s Archetype Card Deck.  Join Anna, Cassie and E-J as they share intuitive responses to the ‘Visionary’ card and learn how applying your mind, body and soul to your ‘presence’ can create more clarity on your true self and identity – and start to carve out a more aligned future. And finally, Anna urges us to pick up a pen and scribble what we’re grateful for during times of tradition spent with loved ones. Episode 3 – Relationships, Love Language and Different Perspectives

How many times do you make a decision because you feel compelled to meet certain expectations? Be they your own or those of others. In this third episode of the Soulful Reawakening Podcast, Anna, Cassie and E-J pick a creativity card that prompts an open and refreshing conversation about different perspectives and choices. The threesome chats about relationships with family, friends, partners, children and professional colleagues and how speaking ‘different languages’ can massively impact the situation and relationship as we often find ourselves in circumstances that don’t serve us well. Unfortunately, we can stay in messy situations too long because of unfitting or unmaintainable expectations. Only when we spot the wisdom or gold from a message or lesson learnt do we see a different perspective that enables us to change, stop and grow.  The discussion touches on Gary Chapman’s Love Languages, makes suggestions about journalling to stay open-minded and encourages you to do something new today. Have you ever felt stifled by societal norms or struggled to voice your true emotions? Prioritising ourselves instead of others without feeling guilty can be difficult. Being real and connecting with our inner truth, others and our surroundings in the moment takes time and effort, but it’s an ability that we all absolutely have! Anna, Cassie and E-J immerse themselves in another soul-searching conversation inspired by a thought-provoking creative card. The curious trio delves deep into the challenges of self-awareness and the pressures of societal expectations – particularly for women who have historically been moulded as caregivers. Episode 2 – Slowing Down, Being Sustainable and Tending to Your Garden

Do you ever feel like life is a rollercoaster and there’s no stopping point? In this second episode, Anna, Cassie and E-J are back with an enlightening conversation, prompted by an oracle ‘rose’ card, about slowing down, being sustainable and tending to your garden. All too often we can put the needs of others before ourselves and all too quickly, we can become consumed by the world and others around us. In this episode, the Soulful Reawakening podcast trio delve into current topics such as repurposing, recycling and a circular economy, but in the context of nourishing and taking care of ourselves.  How can we be sustainable in looking after a newborn, our family, our clients and our business effectively when we struggle to look after ourselves? Slowing down and taking time to allow the mind and body to be calmer actively takes effort, yet it’s essential to notice when we’re feeling swamped and put an end to, sometimes, quite destructive behaviour.  We can learn so much from nature and if we think of ourselves as having seasons, we can allow ourselves to fall apart and grow and see the ebbs and flows as a natural part of our lifecycle. Being present with ourselves, noticing resistance areas and acknowledging limiting beliefs will help us see beyond the tinted goggles and, therefore, clear the lens.  Listen to this episode and think about ‘beingness’. Ask yourself if ‘what you are being is sustainable?’ Thank you so much for listening. Please do get in touch and let us know what’s on your mind and, collectively, we can help each other.
