It's Not Bad Behaviour — It's Their Nervous System: Supporting Neurodivergent Kids at Home & School with Meredith Dawson
It's Not Bad Behaviour — It's Their Nervous System: Supporting Neurodivergent Kids at Home & School with Meredith Dawson Can't you just sit still? Can't you talk less? Just calm down. Meredith Dawson heard those messages all through school, and at almost 54, she still feels them land. Today she's turned that experience into her life's work. Meredith was one of my very first guests on this show, and I'm so honoured to have her back. She's a well-being educational consultant, classroom teacher, and the founder of Thriving Life Co. and Wild Wonder. She has spent over 25 years in education, from early childhood and owning her own daycare to teaching in the school system. Now she coaches neurodivergent kids, their families, and the educators who support them. In this conversation, we get into what "neurodivergent" and "neuroaffirming" actually mean. We talk about why "bad behaviour" is so often a dysregulated nervous system trying to communicate, and why so many kids (especially our girls) are quietly masking in class and falling apart at home. I share how all three of my kids' dyslexia went unnoticed because they were hiding behind their classmates. Meredith gives us simple, powerful tools to use right away, like the W.A.I.T.pause, breaking tasks into tiny steps, and the reminder to just believe them. We also talk about advocacy: why you don't have to accept "let's wait and see," how small changes in the classroom can transform a child's day, and why it's time for our systems to evolve so every child can thrive, not just survive. Whether you're a parent, a teacher, or someone who still carries the "too much" messages from your own school days, this one is for you. 💡 Key Takeaways Behaviour is communication. Before reacting, ask what your child's behaviour is trying to tell you. Use W.A.I.T. — Why Am I Talking? When a child is dysregulated, more words can feel like fireworks going off in their system. Pause and ask what they need: support, a snuggle, or a high five. Understanding isn't excusing. Offer choices, celebrate when they pick a solution, and still hold the boundary. Believe them. When your child says they're struggling or exhausted, trust it. That's where realistic expectations begin. Break it down. If getting from A to B feels impossible, build the steps: A1, A2, A3. Trust your gut and don't wait. If you're told "let's wait and see," you can push back. Early support can prevent shame that lasts a lifetime. Make tools accessible, not earned. Supports like ear defenders should be as easy to reach as pencils and paper. Tiny language shifts create big energy shifts. A small reframe can turn a reaction into a response. About Meredith Dawson Meredith Dawson is a well-being educational consultant, classroom teacher, and the founder of Thriving Life Co. and Wild Wonder. Known as "Ms. Mere" to her students, she brings over 25 years of experience in education, from early childhood and owning her own daycare to teaching in the school system. Today she coaches neurodivergent children, their families, and educators, helping them build nervous-system awareness, neuroaffirming language, and the accommodations kids need to truly thrive. Based in North Vancouver, she runs monthly outdoor programs for primary and elementary learners, supports families across BC in person and remotely, and leads pro-d workshops for teachers. The Fall Reset: How to Brain Dump, Time Block & Organize Your Week Without Feeling Overwhelmed
The Fall Reset: How to Brain Dump, Time Block & Organize Your Week Without Feeling Overwhelmed Back-to-school season has a way of making us crave routine again—but getting organized doesn’t have to mean creating a stricter schedule or trying to cram even more into your day. In this episode of The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast, Brittany shares a practical fall reset for busy women and moms who feel like they have 47 tabs open in their brains at all times. We’re starting with one of the simplest tools Brittany has been using with her coaching clients: a 90-second brain dump. Before a meeting, focused work session, or the start of your day, getting everything out of your head and onto paper can create the mental space you need to actually focus on what’s in front of you. From there, Brittany walks through her simple framework: Do it. Delay it. Delegate it. Delete it. Because your brain dump isn't supposed to become another overwhelming to-do list. We also get practical about calendar organization, time blocking and day blocking—including how Brittany color-codes her family and business calendars, why she’s experimenting with assigning specific types of work to specific days, and the importance of creating an actual stopping point for work. In this episode: How to use a 90-second brain dump to clear mental clutter Why a brain dump is different from a to-do list The Do It, Delay It, Delegate It, Delete It method How to prioritize when everything feels important Time blocking vs. day blocking—and how to decide which works for you Simple calendar organization for busy moms and families Why your calendar often reveals your real priorities How routines can create more freedom instead of more rigidity Creating boundaries around your workday How to be more present and be where your feet are A simple fall and back-to-school routine reset you can start today This isn't about becoming more productive just so you can squeeze more into an already-full life. It's about asking a better question: Does the way I'm spending my time actually reflect what I keep saying matters to me? As life shifts into a new season, use this episode as your invitation to clear your head, take another look at your calendar, protect what matters and create routines that support the life you're actually trying to live. Your fall reset starts with 90 seconds. Grab a piece of paper, brain dump everything you're carrying, and then decide: Do it, delay it, delegate it—or delete it. Because you don't need to do everything. You need to know what matters now. 🎙️ THE MOM SWEAT SANITY PODCAST Motherhood • Mindset • Fitness • Goal Setting for Modern Moms Hosted by Brittany Anderson — Certified High Performance & Accountability Coach, entrepreneur, retreat host, endurance athlete, and mom of three. Men On Pause: Why Menopause Is Ending Marriages and How Couples Can Survive It | Marjie Martini
Yesterday she was your partner. Today she feels like a stranger — and neither of you knows why. In this raw, zero-fluff conversation, menopause strategist and author Marjie Martini joins Brittany to pull back the curtain on the 10-to-15 year hormonal transition that's quietly dismantling midlife relationships. Marjie shares her own harrowing journey — a menopause that started at 39, a misdiagnosis that nearly cost her life at 49, and the years of research that turned her into one of the few people helping women actually build a strategy for thriving after 40. Then she gets into the book that's putting her on the map: Men On Pause, a blunt, tactical manual co-written with relationship coach Shems Heartwell to help the men in our lives finally get it. This one is for the women in the messy middle, and for every husband, brother, coworker, and friend who wants to show up better. It's about hormones, yes — but really it's about not losing yourself, not losing each other, and building the kind of community that carries us through the next 30 years. What We Cover Who Marjie was before "menopause strategist" — 25 years as a hairstylist, a life split between Whistler and Sayulita, and the health crisis that changed everything The menopause journey that started at 39 and the misdiagnosis that nearly turned fatal at 49 Why the real gap isn't information — it's strategy. Why the "magic pill" mindset fails and what actually works The surf-buddy conversation and the Kid Carson podcast moment that sparked Men On Pause Why the book had to be co-written with a man — and how Shems Heartwell delivers the "what to say and how to be" that most partners are desperate for The masculine framing (the Red Zone, Tactical Neutrality, the intel briefing) and why it lands with men when a therapy-style approach doesn't "Gray divorce": why divorce rates over 45–50 are sitting around 70%, and how many strong, thriving midlife women are ending up single Why only about 5% of women have hormones dialed in — and the two biggest roadblocks stopping the rest The money reframe: hormones at roughly $2–4 a day vs. Botox, gymnastics classes, and $10 lattes Get your baseline now — why every woman in her 30s should log her hormone panel and keep the data Why your prescription will change one to two times a year for the next 10–15 years — and why staying hyper-aware of new symptoms matters (yes, even "itchy crawly skin") Reaching sovereignty in your 50s — more compassion, less people-pleasing, and finally putting your own cup first The one sentence to hand a partner along with the book — and why this conversation belongs with our sons and daughters, too About Marjie Martini Marjie Martini is a menopause strategist and the author of Men On Pause, a #1 Amazon bestseller in Men's Health. Drawing on 25 years in the beauty industry, four years working alongside hormone and regenerative-medicine specialists in Mexico, and her own decade-plus on bioidentical hormones, Marjie helps women over 40 cut through the noise and build a personalized strategy to feel like themselves again. Her mission is to bring menopause into the mainstream for both women and the men who love them — so relationships and community stay intact. She splits her time between Whistler, Canada and Sayulita, Mexico. FROM THE VAULT: Dr. Stacy Sims: Women Are Not Small Men
Welcome back to The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast. Today, we’re going into the vault and bringing back one of the conversations from earlier this year that I genuinely think is worth hearing again. Our most listened to in the first half of the year. My conversation with Dr. Stacy Sims. If you know her work, you know the phrase: women are not small men. And this conversation was such an important reminder that the way we train, fuel, recover and take care of ourselves as women needs to actually reflect our physiology, and the season of life we're in. And honestly, I think sometimes we hear something once, take what we need from it in that moment, and then six months later we hear it completely differently. So whether you listened the first time or this is brand new to you, I wanted to bring this one back. From the vault, here is my conversation with Dr. Stacy Sims. 🎙️ THE MOM SWEAT SANITY PODCAST Motherhood • Mindset • Fitness • Goal Setting for Modern Moms Hosted by Brittany Anderson — Certified High Performance & Accountability Coach, entrepreneur, speaker, retreat host, endurance athlete, and mom of three. A Mom Moment on Teenagers, Letting Go & the Empty Nest Countdown
No guest. No framework. No three neat takeaways. Just Brittany, in it — same as you. It's been a while since a Weekly Mom Moment, and there's a reason for that. These episodes require actually sitting still with what's going on, and life has been full in a way that made stillness feel like a luxury. But the whole reason this podcast exists is to say the thing out loud so you don't feel crazy for feeling it too. So this week, she's saying some things out loud. The family back from Portugal — two weeks that were their son's grad trip, and a deliberate choice to give time instead of something you unwrap. Brittany gets honest about the myth that magical family moments just happen if you love your kids enough. They don't. You carve them out, you protect the calendar like it's a client meeting, and you have to be the one who sees the window closing. Nobody else is going to point it out. She talks about the different dynamic of the trip — their son brought his girlfriend — and gives permission for the complicated flicker of feeling that comes with that. She talks about watching him be a partner to someone, a preview of the man he becomes when she's not in the room. Then there's the tattoo. He got another one, and so much of it looks like hers. He told his dad he wanted pieces of it to reflect both relationships. He put his parents on his body, permanently, on purpose — at nineteen, when he doesn't have to make room for them in his story at all. And right behind that honour comes the other feeling: he moves out again in under two weeks, and he'll be gone for eight months. Brittany goes into the math she keeps doing that isn't helping. The sound of his footsteps on the stairs she didn't know she'd memorized. Their eldest daughter leaving next year. Being down to one kid in the house and sitting in her kitchen thinking, what is this life, where did this go? And she talks about their youngest — going into tenth grade, still the funny, easy, happy one, but changing. The moments she goes quiet. The hugs she takes without explanation. The work of not chasing it, not filling the silence with twelve questions, and trusting she has good people in place and will come when she's ready. This episode is about holding two things at once, which might be the entire skill of parenting teenagers. Grief and pride, in the same breath. Missing him and being thrilled for him. Loving that they're becoming their own people and quietly wishing for a few more years of them being hers. If you're in this season — if you're staring down a kid leaving, watching one pull away, or just realizing your window is smaller than you thought — the ache isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. The ache is the receipt. And if you're still in the hard early years and this feels like a distant problem: nobody's telling you to cherish every moment. Just that the time is the whole thing. It was always the time. Magical family moments don't happen on their own. At this stage, nobody hands you the time or warns you the window is closing. You have to be the one who sees it and protects it. Unstructured time is where the real conversations live. Not sit-down mom questions — car rides, long waits, walks with no destination. Boredom with your teenagers is underrated. Memories are what make them want to be part of you. At a certain point, coming home becomes optional. The years of showing up are what make them choose it. The flicker of feeling when a new person joins your family isn't ungenerous. It's just love that hasn't figured out where to reorganize itself yet. This stage of mothering isn't managing anymore — it's being available. It's harder to stand in the doorway and wait to be invited in than it is to fix the problem. Grief and pride can occupy the same breath. Holding two opposite true things at once may be the entire skill of parenting teenagers. If they leave, it means it worked. The goal was always to build someone who could go. Knowing that in your head and feeling it in your body are completely different things. "The ache isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. The ache is the receipt." "I'm not building memories for nostalgia. I'm building a family that they choose to keep coming back to." "He put us on his body. On purpose. Permanently." "Nobody is going to say, 'Hey, your window is closing, you should probably book something.' You have to be the one who sees the window." "It's not managing anymore. It's being available." "The goal was always to build someone who could leave." "Boredom is underrated. Unstructured time with your teenagers is where the good stuff lives." "The time is the whole thing. Why Your Kids Feel Your Nervous System Before They Hear Your Words | Katherine Aucoin
Mama, if you've ever found yourself yelling and then spiraling in guilt afterward — this episode is going to feel like a giant, oxytocin-filled exhale. 💛 I sat down with Katherine Aucoin — a former therapist of 9 years who transitioned into trauma-informed parenting coaching because she realized moms didn't need more parenting books, Instagram scripts, or willpower. They needed to heal themselves first. We get into the science of why you can decide in your head to stay calm and still explode — and it's not because you're a bad mom. It's because your nervous system is running the show, and no amount of memorized parenting phrases can override a body stuck in fight-or-flight. Katherine walks us through: 🧠 What "trauma-informed" actually means — and why it's not an excuse, it's the opposite 🔥 What's happening in your brain in the 3 seconds before you yell (spoiler: your prefrontal cortex is offline) 👶 Why your kids feel your nervous system state more than they hear your words — especially kids 7 and under 💥 Where the gentle parenting movement has gone sideways — and why "firm AND kind" is what kids actually need to feel safe 🌸 The containment hug — a live nervous system regulation demo you can do in 30 seconds (yes, I did it with her) 🧬 The oxytocin vs. dopamine truth about the female nervous system — and why your screen time is depleting your regulation reserves 🪞 Reparenting yourself — what it actually means and how it breaks generational cycles for your kids 🎯 Her signature somatic + inner child coaching process — starting with today's trigger and working back to the root cause ☀️ Her brand new program: "Stop Yelling Before Summer" — a 6-week intensive built for moms who are at capacity and out of tools This one is for the mom who's tried all the parenting books, saved all the reels, and still feels like she's failing. You're not. You just haven't been given the right entry point — and that entry point is you. nervous system regulation for moms · trauma-informed parenting · stop yelling as a mom · mom rage · somatic healing for mothers · reparenting yourself · breaking generational cycles · gentle parenting · mom triggers · Katherine Aucoin · Blossoming Mother · parent coach BC · containment hug · dysregulated mom #MomSweatSanity #TraumaInformedParenting #NervousSystemRegulation #MomRage #StopYelling #GenerationalHealing #Reparenting #SomaticHealing #ConsciousMotherhood #GentleParenting #MomsHelpingMoms #MotherhoodJourney #BreakingCycles #MomLife #MomPodcast 🌸 Connect with Katherine Aucoin Instagram: @katherine.aucoin Website: blossomingmother.com 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? Dr. Kelly Casperson + Friends on Hormones, HRT & Everything You Weren't Told LIVE Panel Podcast
You Have Permission: Hormones, HRT & Everything You Weren't Told LIVE Panel Podcast What happens when you put 100 women in one room and four of the most trusted voices in women's health on one stage? This. Recorded live at Seymour Golf & Country Club, this episode of the Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast tackles the conversations we've been told to whisper about — hormones, HRT, weight, testosterone, and the permission every woman deserves to stop waiting for. Host Brittany Anderson opens with the belief that built this whole room: most of us are waiting for permission — to want more, to take up space, to ask for support — and everything shifts the moment we stop. Then the panel goes there. Honestly, generously, and with a lot of laughter. In this episode: Why that stubborn 5–10 lbs around the midsection is about far more than "eating less" — and the 11 hormonal systems actually at play What to test before you accept "your labs are normal" Is it ever too late to start hormones? The truth about the "age 60" myth (and the 102-year-old who's been on HRT for 52 years) Why "it's a guideline, not a deadline" The perimenopause–ADHD connection, brain fog, and why "just start somewhere" beats another online quiz Testosterone for women: libido, mood, muscle, energy — and why the "normal" lab ranges may be, in Dr. Casperson's words, made up in-house The reframe to carry out the door: you are not broken — you were just never handed the full picture Meet the panel: Dr. Kelly Casperson — board-certified urologic surgeon, founder of the Casperson Clinic, author of You Are Not Broken, and host of the top-ranked You Are Not Broken podcast Dr. Karen Van Wyk — Medical Director of Healthcode for Women, blending family medicine, functional medicine, and somatic work for root-cause hormonal care Dr. Allana Polo, ND — naturopathic physician, founder of Polo Health & Longevity Centre, and author of The Hunger Code Shirley Weir — founder of Menopause Chicks, a community that's supported hundreds of thousands of women through perimenopause and menopause Resources mentioned: You Are Not Broken (Dr. Kelly Casperson) · The Hunger Code (Dr. Allana Polo) · Menopause Chicks community · Healthcode for Women · Polo Health & Longevity Centre A few lines that stuck with us: "Your driver's license is not a permission slip for or against something." "It's a guideline, not a deadline." "We're complicated Ferraris — not Hondas or Toyotas." "Just start somewhere." Want to be in the next room? The Return Flight Home: Don't Let Summer Become Drift Season
There's something powerful that happens on the flight home. Not because the vacation is ending... but because your brain is finally processing everything you've experienced. The conversations. The slower pace. The new perspectives. The woman you became while you were away. The question is... What happens after you land? In this solo episode, Brittany explores the viral "Return Flight Theory" and introduces a concept she's calling Drift Season—that quiet period where routines disappear, momentum fades, and before you know it, September arrives wondering where summer went. This episode is your invitation to enter summer with intention instead of autopilot. Inside you'll discover: Why the flight home is often where the biggest mindset shifts happen What "Drift Season" looks like (and why it happens to almost everyone) The simple mindset shift that protects your momentum without sacrificing the joy of summer Three powerful journal questions to help you create an intentional season Why choosing "first times" might be the simplest way to keep growing all summer long This isn't about doing more. It's about becoming more intentional with the life you're already living. Because summer doesn't have to be the season where you lose yourself. It can be the season where you become even more of who you're meant to be. Journal Prompts: Who did I become in the first half of this year? What do I want this summer to feel like? What is one intention I'm setting that will protect that feeling? If this episode resonated with you, send Brittany a DM on Instagram and share your one intention for the summer. @BrittanyAndersonCoaching Don't wait until September to become her. Remember Your Why: Power in the Pause
Episode Title: Remember Your Why Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do isn't push harder—it's pause. In this solo episode, recorded from a quiet morning in Portugal on Ryan's birthday, Brittany shares a personal reminder about slowing down, reconnecting with your purpose, and being fully present for the life you've worked so hard to build. If you've been caught in the cycle of doing, achieving, and constantly thinking about what's next, this conversation is your invitation to get quiet, reflect, and remember your why. Because the life you're building deserves to be lived—not just achieved.

From $2M to Burnout with Anna Lozano
From $2M to Burnout to "The Great Realignment": Anna Lozano on Doing Less & Building More We spend so much time chasing the goal that nobody prepares us for the silence on the other side of it. 🤍 In this episode, Brittany reconnects with business mentor Anna Lozano — five years after their first conversation — for a raw, expansive talk about reinvention, identity, and what it really means to build a life (and business) that feels good, not just looks good. Anna built a $2M network marketing business, then co-founded the affirmation brand Love Powered Co., scaled it to a successful exit… and then crashed into three years of grief, hives, and 75-minute daily meditations trying to answer one question: Who am I now? This conversation is for the woman in her 40s quietly rewriting her own definition of success — the one who's exhausted by hustle culture and starting to wonder if she can actually do more by being more. 🌿 In this episode, we get into: 💔 The identity void after a big win — and why no one talks about post-success grief 🔥 "The great realignment": leaving masculine hustle culture without losing your ambition 🧘♀️ Why slowing down feels like danger to your nervous system (and how to make it feel safe) 🛵 Anna's frazzled-to-aligned 15-minute reset (the "Vespa & Vision" frustration → gratitude method) 📲 The real reason a confident speaker can be terrified of a 90-second talking reel 🤝 "One conversation" that led to a 16,000-unit deal with Jillian Harris — and the 3 years of relationship-building underneath it 💌 The give-to-ask ratio every woman needs to audit 👧 Raising daughters who become their own kind inner voice Whether you call it frequency, intuition, or just finally listening to yourself — this one's a tune-up for your whole self. 💫 📇 CONTACT INFO Guest — Anna Lozano ⚠️ Website: https://annalozano.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_annalozano/ Podcast: Prosperity Playground Podcast Host — Brittany Anderson Website: brittanderson.com Podcast: The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? Peptides, Cardio Addiction & the Midlife Body Reset with Stephanie Gambetta
You Can't Outrun Your Hormones: Peptides, Cardio Addiction & the Midlife Body Reset What if the workouts that used to work for you are now the exact thing wrecking your hormones? Stephanie, founder of The Loop Way, joins Brittany to unpack the world of peptides, GLP-1s, and why so many midlife women feel like their bodies have suddenly stopped responding. After a ski accident at 47 forced her to surrender the cardio addiction she'd been using to numb a divorce, Stephanie discovered peptides — and built one of the fastest-growing peptide education and coaching companies in the wellness space. We're talking BPC-157, TB-500, KPV, micro-dosing GLP-1s, why cardio is canceling out your strength, and how to build your body up instead of breaking it down. This is the conversation every woman in her 40s and 50s needs to hear. 💛 🔗 GUEST LINKS Website: theloopway.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/loop.way/ 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? You're Probably Under-Eating AND Over-Training (Here's How to Tell)
You're doing everything "right" — strength training, hitting your protein, saying no to the wine — so why does it still feel off? This week Brittany sits down with Shannon Platt, women's health and performance coach (and former pelvic floor clinic owner) from the East Coast, for a refreshingly honest conversation about what actually makes women feel their best in their 40s and beyond. Shannon gets real about the body-comp goal she nailed (19% body fat — leaner than ever) while missing her scale number entirely, the Mexico girls' trip that reset her relationship with perfectionism, and the blind spots she sees in nearly every client. Spoiler: it's not the protein you're missing — it's the carbs. From pelvic floor truths no one talks about, to lifting heavier than you think, to why a little novelty might be the most underrated wellness tool of all — this one's for every ambitious mom who's tired of white-knuckling her way through wellness. 💛 🔗 Connect with Shannon Platt 📸 Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/shannplatt/ 🌐 Website: ShannonPlattTraining.ca 💻 Work with Shannon: Online coaching worldwide + in-person coaching in the Halifax / Nova Scotia area 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? "God Signs My Paychecks" — Jaclyn Shaw on Unapologetic Wealth & Building a Business as a Holy Vessel
"God Signs My Paychecks" — Jaclyn Shaw on Unapologetic Wealth, Spiritual Conviction & Building a Business as a Holy Vessel What if God signed your paychecks? Spiritual mentor, best-selling author, and speaker Jacqueline Shaw joins Brittany on the Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast for a soul-stirring conversation on unapologetic wealth, divine conviction, and what happens when you stop performing for the algorithm and start being the truth of who you are. Jacqueline shares the "spiritual smackdown" moment she had three weeks postpartum that changed the entire trajectory of her life, why it took her 8 years to pick up the pen (and only 3 weeks to write the book), and how she went from running a multiple 7-figure business that left her exhausted on the beach with her kids — to building a brand entirely led by God. This one is for the woman who has felt called to more but keeps shrinking, the entrepreneur tired of hustle-formula marketing, the mama who knows in her bones she's meant for impact, and anyone ready to stop apologizing for wanting wealth that creates real ripples in the world. LIVE EVENT: The Hunger Code, Hormones & The Real Reason You Can't Lose Weight with Dr. Allana Polo, ND
LIVE EVENT: The Hunger Code, Hormones & The Real Reason You Can't Lose Weight with Dr. Allana Polo, ND This one is special. This episode was recorded live — in a room of 45 women at Seymour Golf & Country Club in North Vancouver — and the energy in it is unlike anything we've done before. Dr. Allana Polo, ND is a naturopathic physician, founder of Polo Health & Longevity Centre in New Westminster, BC, and author of The Hunger Code. She has been in practice for over 15 years with a deep focus on women's health, weight loss, hormones, and menopause. In this conversation we go deep on why the diet roller coaster keeps spinning — and what it actually takes to get off it for good. In this episode we cover: The origin of The Hunger Code and why Dr. Polo has been thinking about this her entire life The six hungers — healthy hunger and the five unhealthy hungers — and how to identify which one is running the show for you Head hunger, heart hunger, habit hunger, hormone hunger, and hypersensitivity hunger — broken down in plain language Why perimenopause changes everything about how your body processes food, weight, and cravings The role of estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, insulin, and thyroid in weight gain that has nothing to do with what you're eating Why "calories in, calories out" is only one tiny piece of a much bigger picture The emotional and mental roots of disordered eating — and why the first three chapters of the book go there first How to start listening to your body again when social media and diet culture have completely drowned out your internal signals What a real support team looks like for women navigating this season of life — and why you cannot do it alone The one question every woman in perimenopause should be asking her doctor. About this series: This episode is part of the live series — where The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast and MOMentum Collective collide in real life. Real women, real rooms, real conversations. True influence doesn't feel like marketing — Chelsea Clark on mom creators, building without burnout, and why moms move markets
True influence doesn't feel like marketing — Chelsea Clark on mom creators, building without burnout, and why moms move markets What if the secret to building a successful business wasn't working harder — it was working smarter, on your own terms, in school hours? Chelsea Clark is the founder and CEO of Momfluence, https://www.momfluence.co/, a marketing agency connecting brands with mom creators across North America. Since launching in 2019 (from Costa Rica, with a newborn and a toddler in tow), Chelsea has run over 1,000 campaigns and built a platform of 8,000+ creators — all while working around 25 hours a week and protecting her evenings like a full-time job. In this episode, Chelsea and Brittany get into it all: the messy origin story, why moms are the most powerful and underestimated buying demographic on the planet, and what "authentic influence" actually looks like when brands stop treating creators like salespeople. This one is full of real talk, honest laughs, and some genuinely sharp takes on marketing, motherhood, and momentum. "True influence doesn't feel like marketing — it inspires action through genuine connection." — Chelsea Clark In this episode we cover: → How Chelsea went from running restaurants in Toronto to building a marketing agency from Costa Rica with a baby on her hip → Why she started momfluence after she couldn't find a single agency that actually worked with mom creators → The real reason brands keep getting influencer marketing wrong (hint: they think creators are salespeople) → Why moms aren't like Gen Z creators — and why that distinction matters for fair pay → Her framework for authentic storytelling in brand campaigns and why briefless collaborations work → How she runs a growing business in 25 hours a week and what "balance" actually looks like as a founder-mom → Her vision for momfluence — 500 self-serve brands, AI-powered matching, and a $10M exit → Why she tells people about her ideas after she's already done them (and why you should too) Connect with Chelsea: 🌐 momfluence.co 💼 LinkedIn: Chelsea Clark mom entrepreneurinfluencer marketingauthentic contentmom creatorsbuilding without burnoutstartup lifework-life balancemomfluence 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? From Corporate Burnout to Coaching Parents: Andrea Barr on Career Pivots, Scaling a Business with Littles, and Designing a Life You Actually Love
From Corporate Burnout to Coaching Parents: Andrea Barr on Career Pivots, Scaling a Business with Littles, and Designing a Life You Actually Love If you've ever sat at your desk thinking this isn't it — this episode is for you. Today I'm sitting down with someone whose story is going to hit close to home for so many of you. Andrea Barr is a Certified Career and Life Coach for Parents, host of the globally ranked top 3% podcast All Figured Out, and a fellow North Vancouver mom in the thick of raising a 3 and 5 year old while building a business she genuinely loves. After a decade in the corporate world and two major career pivots of her own — from advertising in Toronto to Aritzia's leadership development team to launching her own coaching practice — Andrea now helps ambitious parents figure out exactly what needs to shift so they can keep growing without losing themselves in the process. This conversation went deep, went real, and honestly went places neither of us planned. We talked about what it actually looks like to scale a business with littles at home, why the answer is almost never quit everything and start over, and what happens when you finally stop swirling and start asking the right questions. Oh — and she said something out loud on this episode she's never even told her husband. You're going to want to stay for that one. In This Episode We Cover: The two pivotal moments that forced Andrea to blow up her career path — and what she learned each time How becoming a parent brought clarity and urgency to decisions she'd been avoiding Why she niched into coaching parents specifically and what makes it completely different from regular career coaching The swirling thoughts problem — and how coaching helps you finally make sense of what you actually want Why the answer is almost never quitting your job, and what small shifts actually move the needle Rhythms vs. routines — and why a menu approach to your week works better than a rigid schedule What it really looks like to scale a business with a 3 and 5 year old at home The Breakfast Club — her monthly in-person community event and why she built it Why she's done saying "just" and "little" when describing her business The someday goal she's claiming out loud for the very first time Rapid Fire Highlights: Morning person ☀️ Daily sanity saver: washing her face Favourite North Van spot: United Strangers Best mom advice she ever received: "The best thing you can do for your kids is to enjoy your own life." Be Boring. Be Consistent. Be Rich. Marketing Strategy That Actually Builds Your Business.
Be Boring. Be Consistent. Be Rich. Marketing Strategy That Actually Builds Your Business with Jessica Krewson. If you've been showing up on social, posting consistently, and still wondering why nothing is moving — this episode is for you. Brittany sits down with Jessica Krewson, founder of Design Crew, a marketing and graphic design agency she built from a literal zero moment: zero clients, zero funds, zero plan. Fifteen-plus years later, Jess has worked with multi-million dollar brands and developed a framework she calls aligned marketing — and it's not what most people think it is. In this conversation, Jess gets refreshingly real about what's actually working in marketing right now, why your messaging is probably the reason your content isn't converting, and why the most successful entrepreneurs she's worked with spend 80% of their time in vision and content creation. In this episode you'll learn: What aligned marketing actually means (beyond the buzzword) and how to find the sweet spot between what lights you up and what your clients desperately need Why being "boring" with your content is actually the goal — and how repetition builds trust faster than anything else The 2am problem: how to tap into the exact words your ideal client uses so your messaging stops falling flat The biggest difference between entrepreneurs who are just posting versus those who are actually building a business Why your email list is the one asset you actually own — and how to use a lead magnet to grow it When to bring in support, how to delegate strategically, and why you should do it before you feel ready How trial reels work on Instagram and why they're a smart way to test content with a cold audience The role of AI in modern marketing and how to use it without losing the human element that makes your brand irreplaceable Resources mentioned: Follow Jess on Instagram: @designkrew Website: designkrew.com DM Jess to get on the waitlist for her Marketing & Flow Assessment (limited spots per month) 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? The hidden shame behind the word peptide. The Real Talk on GLP-1s.
There's still hidden shame behind the word peptide. We're ripping it off today. What they actually are, who they're for, and why half the women taking them are getting it dangerously wrong. — with Dr. Sienna Olson & Michelle Kilduff _________________________ Peptides are everywhere — and almost no one is talking about them honestly. In this episode, I sit down with two women I trust on this topic more than just about anyone: Dr. Sienna Olson, practicing chiropractor and peptide coach out of the US, and Michelle Kilduff, Canadian nutrition and fitness coach turned peptide therapy coach. We all met through the MCM Mastermind, and the minute the three of us got on a call together I knew this conversation had to hit the mic. We go there. The shame still wrapped around the word peptide. The "miracle drug" narrative around GLP-1s that's already collapsing in front of us. Why so many women are on the wrong peptide at the wrong dose with no one actually coaching them through it. What the Canada/US accessibility gap really looks like in practice. Why "the math ain't mathin'" for so many women in perimenopause — and what peptides can (and absolutely cannot) do about it. We also get into the stacks — Glow, Tirzepatide, BPC-157, Tessamorelin, CJC — the real results, the bee-sting reality of injecting them, and why your lifestyle has to get harder, not easier, once you add peptides to the mix. I also share my own year-and-a-half microdose journey with GLP-1s, how I actually gained two pounds of muscle while on them, and what having emergency appendicitis six weeks ago taught me about how fast the foundation can slip. If you're peptide curious, already taking one and spiraling in silence, or just sick of being told half-truths by people selling you a vial — this one is for you. What we cover Why peptides still carry a weird shame (and the exact narrative that's keeping women in the dark) What a peptide actually is — and why GLP-1s are only one chapter of a much bigger story The GLP-1 rebound effect nobody warned women about Who peptides are actually for — and who absolutely shouldn't touch them yet The Glow Stack (GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500) — what it does, what the bee-sting feels like, and why Sienna can't put it down Tirzepatide, food noise, and the moment Michelle says it "cracked my soul open" Tessamorelin vs. CJC for muscle retention and recovery (Wonder Woman energy, per Michelle) Cycling on and off peptides — why receptor desensitization matters more than your IG feed is telling you Canada vs. US access: the questions you must ask any research-based company before you inject anything they ship Red flags when sourcing: sterility reports, third-party testing, label language, and companies that rebrand every six weeks Why coaching with depth matters — and why "here's your protocol, email me in a week" is how women end up in the heroin chic 2.0 pipeline My personal microdose GLP-1 journey: 5% body fat down, 2 lbs of muscle gained, and what appendicitis taught me about staying strong through it How to tell if a peptide provider is actually watching your blood work — or just writing a script Stand-out moments you'll want to clip "We're going through a glow up right now." — Sienna on the evolution of the wellness toolbox "It is the wild wild west right now." — Michelle on the state of peptide misinformation "It's kind of like the gas to the fire that your system needs." — Sienna on how peptides actually work "Don't Google, don't go ask ChatGPT, you come to us — do not spiral, we got you." — Michelle on what depth coaching looks like "This is not what this journey looks like. This is supposed to enhance everything you're already doing — not to the point where you're just rotting." — Sienna on the desperate-housewife GLP-1 trap Connect with our guests Dr. Sienna Olson — DM her on Instagram @dr.siennaolson and send the word PEP to start a conversation. We Raised Him to Leave… But I Wasn’t Ready for This
We Raised Him to Leave… But I Wasn’t Ready for This This one is personal. Because somewhere along the way… they grow up. And no one really prepares you for these milestones— the ones that don’t just pass… they land. In this episode, I’m sharing what this season looks like in real time: my son turning 18, graduating, and moving out to follow his dreams. The pride. The ache. The quiet questions every mom asks herself: Did I do enough? Did I get it right? Is he ready? We move so quickly through the early years— first steps, first days, packed lunches, busy schedules— thinking this phase will last forever. Until suddenly… you’re standing in the “big ones.” The ones that make them adults. The ones that stretch you as a mother in a completely different way. This episode is about: Letting go while still loving deeply Trusting what you’ve built over the years Watching your child become their own person And realizing… these milestones are yours too If you’re a mom in the thick of it, or you feel this season coming— This will hit home. 🤍 Because we’re not just raising kids… we’re raising humans. And that matters more than anything. ____________________________________________ 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? I Went to a Rachel Hollis Event Alone… And It Shifted Everything
I Went to a Rachel Hollis Event Alone… And It Shifted Everything Last week, I walked into a room where I didn’t know a single person. No safety net. No built-in circle. Just me… choosing to go anyway. In this episode, I’m breaking down what really happens when you step outside your comfort zone and into a space that challenges how you think, who you surround yourself with, and what you believe is possible for your life and business. After attending RISE: Elevate, led by Rachel Hollis, I was reminded of something powerful: You don’t need to know exactly what you’re going to get from an experience… but if you go with intention, you will always walk away with something that moves you forward. Inside this episode, I share: • What it actually feels like to attend an event alone (and why it matters) • The real reason getting in the right rooms changes your trajectory • The 3 unexpected things you gain every time you say yes to growth • Why you’re not stuck—you may just need a new environment • How one conversation, one moment, or one realization can shift everything This conversation is for the woman who knows she’s meant for more… but feels like she’s been hovering in the same place. If that’s you, this is your reminder: The next version of you doesn’t stay where it’s comfortable. She puts herself in rooms that expand her. 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? The Questions That Actually Tell You Who You Are | Anything But Average Mondays
The Questions That Actually Tell You Who You Are | Anything But Average Mondays This one is a little different… and honestly, one of our favorites. We hit record thinking it would be “short and sweet” rapid fire — but what came out was real life, real opinions, and the kind of conversations we’re all already having (or thinking about). From guilty pleasures and confidence outfits to ideal days and bigger conversations around aging, choices, and what we actually value… this episode is light, honest, and unexpectedly grounding. Because sometimes the simplest questions? They tell you everything about how you’re living. In this episode, we talk about: → Guilty pleasures and letting yourself just enjoy things → Beach vs. city vs. mountain (and what that says about you) → What actually makes you feel confident → The “ideal day” conversation — and why most of us are closer than we think → Living life by choice, not default → The truth about aging, beauty, and doing “too much” → Why women feel like things have to be hard (and questioning that) → ChatGPT, AI, and the reality of data (nothing is private anymore) → Voice notes vs texting (and what we actually prefer) → Sundays, routines, and creating space → Food cravings, hormones, and listening to your body → Group dinners vs one-on-one time — and protecting your energy The underlying theme: You’re not as far off from the life you want as you think. Most of it comes down to: → the choices you’re making → who you’re spending time with → and how honest you’re willing to be with yourself Take this with you: Ask yourself the same questions we asked each other. Not the polished answers. The real ones. Because your answers will show you exactly where you are… and where you’re ready to go next. Are Busy Friends Actually Better Friends? | Anything But Average Mondays
Are Busy Friends Actually Better Friends? This week on Anything But Average Mondays, Brittany and Christina are back with one of those conversations that starts with spilled coffee and somehow ends up in a very real conversation about friendship, capacity, busy seasons, and the pressure we put on ourselves. They dive into the question: Are busy friends better friends? And like most real-life conversations, the answer isn’t black and white. From packed schedules and changing priorities to how friendship looks in different seasons of life, this episode is a reminder that being busy does not make someone a better friend — and being unavailable sometimes does not make someone a bad one either. They also chat about travel life, being present in different environments, rest, relationships, screenshot chaos, eating habits when you’re home alone, simple protein-packed meals, and why so many women need to stop judging themselves so harshly. This one feels like sitting in on a real girlfriend conversation — honest, funny, relatable, and full of little reminders we all need. In This Episode The hilarious reality of spilled coffee, too many drinks on the table, and thousands of screenshots How many photos is too many photos on your phone Why different seasons of life change how we show up in friendship Are busy people better at making time because they schedule it Why not taking things personally in friendship changes everything The difference between being full and being overextended FOMO of life and wanting to say yes to what matters Why getting away changes your energy, presence, and relationship What Brittany and Christina actually eat when they’re home alone Simple thoughts on protein, creatine, leftovers, and easy food habits A reminder to stop shaming yourself and trust that you’re doing the best you can Key Takeaway A good friend is not defined by how busy they are. A good friend is defined by how they make you feel, how they show up when they can, and the grace they give in the seasons when life feels full. We’re all doing the best we can with the capacity we have. Less judgment. Less guilt. More grace. More honesty. More real friendship. 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? The Season I Didn’t Expect: When Life Forces You to Slow Down
The Season I Didn’t Expect: When Life Forces You to Slow Down In this solo episode, Brittany shares a very real and personal reflection on a recent season she didn’t expect — an emergency appendectomy that forced her to slow down in a life that normally moves fast. As a mom of three teenagers, business owner, coach, and someone who thrives on momentum, being forced to pause was both humbling and eye-opening. Brittany opens up about what it feels like when your body makes the decision to stop, how identity can get tied to productivity, and why sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is listen to what our body and life are trying to tell us. This episode is a reminder that strength doesn’t always mean pushing harder. Sometimes it means resting, healing, and allowing space for the next chapter to unfold. If you’ve ever felt like life suddenly hit the brakes on your plans, this conversation will resonate. Momentum is powerful — but sometimes the pause is exactly what we need to realign, heal, and move forward stronger. health, emergency surgery, appendectomy, personal growth, healing, women’s health, motherhood, slowing down, mindset, resilience 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? Emergency Surgery, Peptides & The Wake-Up Calls Our Bodies Send | Anything But Average Mondays
Emergency Surgery, Peptides & The Wake-Up Calls Our Bodies Send | Anything But Average Mondays In this episode of Anything But Average, Brittany and Christina dive into a very real conversation about health, healing, and the wake-up calls our bodies sometimes give us. Brittany shares the unexpected experience of landing in the hospital for an emergency appendectomy, walking through the symptoms, the fast-moving hospital visit, surgery, and what recovery has actually looked like in the days following. From the anxiety of not knowing what was happening to realizing how incredible the human body truly is, this experience became a powerful reminder about paying attention to the signals our bodies send. Christina also opens up about her own health journey right now, including ongoing back issues, exploring peptides, and the work required to maintain strength, mobility, and resilience. Together they unpack: • What happens when your body forces you to slow down • The importance of acting quickly when something feels off • Recovery, patience, and giving your body the time it needs • Exploring new tools and therapies that support healing • Why health awareness and self-care should never be optional This conversation is honest, reflective, and a reminder that even the strongest, most driven people still need to listen to their bodies. Sometimes the biggest lesson is simply this: health is everything. • Brittany’s emergency appendectomy and hospital experience • What recovery from surgery actually looks like • Christina’s back injury and healing process • The growing conversation around peptides for recovery and support • Learning to listen to your body and respond quickly • Resilience, patience, and respecting the healing process health awareness, emergency surgery, appendectomy recovery, peptides, healing, hospital experience, resilience, women’s health, recovery mindset, listening to your body 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? GLP's - the Way Women Over 40 Can Reclaim Their Confidence
The Hormone Shift: How Women Over 40 Can Reclaim Their Strength, Metabolism & Confidence with Jennifer Hanway In this powerful and practical episode, Brittany sits down with nutritionist and women’s health expert Jennifer Hanway to unpack what is really happening in a woman’s body after 40. From perimenopause to postmenopause, Jennifer breaks down the hormonal shifts that impact energy, weight, mood, muscle mass, skin, and sleep — and explains why so many women feel like their bodies have suddenly stopped responding the way they used to. Jennifer shares her journey from professional dancer to functional nutritionist and why she now focuses specifically on helping women navigate midlife with strength and strategy instead of frustration. Inside this conversation, we dive into: • Why menopause is technically one day — and why most women are actually in perimenopause • The critical importance of preserving lean muscle mass • Why protein is non-negotiable for women over 40 • The truth about GLP-1 medications and “food noise” • How gut health directly impacts hormones and inflammation • Why protecting your sleep is foundational for everything This episode is honest, science-backed, and empowering. It’s not about shrinking yourself — it’s about building strength, resilience, and metabolic power as you age. Health Is Non-Negotiable | Anything But Average Mondays
Health Is Non-Negotiable | Anything But Average Mondays This week, Christina and Brittany are having one of those honest, unfiltered conversations. The kind where you talk about what’s actually happening in your body… how aging really feels… and why health can’t sit at the bottom of the priority list anymore. They dive into inflammation and how it quietly impacts everything from energy to long-term disease, the growing conversation around peptides and recovery, and the reality of navigating wellness in a world where “nothing feels real anymore.” This episode is about taking your health seriously. About discipline. About gratitude. About choosing to live in a way that doesn’t leave you with regret. If you’re building a life, a career, a family — none of it works if your health falls apart. This is real talk on movement, mindset, nutrition, recovery, and what it means to age with intention. We don’t shy away from the skepticism. We don’t pretend we have it all figured out. But we do believe this: Health is non-negotiable. health, aging, self-care, wellness, inflammation, peptides, recovery, motivation, mental health, authenticity, gratitude, discipline, anti-aging strategies • Personal health and wellness journeys • Inflammation as a root cause of chronic disease • The role of peptides in recovery and aging • Discipline vs. motivation in long-term fitness • Beauty routines and self-care rituals • Nutrition and movement as foundational health pillars • Gratitude as a mental health tool • Your health is not optional — protect it at all costs. • Living authentically reduces regret and strengthens resilience. • Inflammation is at the root of many diseases — reducing it should be a priority. • Peptides may support recovery and aging when used responsibly. • Gratitude shifts perspective and strengthens mental health. • Discipline builds results long after motivation fades. Motherhood Didn’t Kill My Ambition — It Refined It with Kelsey Reidl
Simplifying Your Business Without Losing Your Ambition with Kelsey Reidl What happens when motherhood reshapes your ambition, but doesn’t shrink it? In this episode of The Mom Sweat Sanity, we sit down with marketing strategist Kelsey Reidl to talk about building a business that’s both strategic and sustainable. Kelsey shares her journey from studying human resources to stepping fully into online marketing and entrepreneurship. What started as curiosity turned into clarity — and what she thought was a career pivot became a purpose. But the real shift? Motherhood. Becoming a mom didn’t slow her down. It sharpened her focus. It forced simplicity. It refined her business model and helped her lean into what she does best: high-level, one-on-one marketing consulting rooted in data, clarity, and genuine connection. This conversation is for the woman who is: • Building a business • Raising a family • Protecting her time • And still deeply ambitious We talk about: Why simplifying your offers can increase profitability and peace How data-driven marketing saves time (and emotional spiraling) Why experimentation is a required mindset in entrepreneurship The role of sports and physical movement in resilience and leadership And Kelsey’s powerful LEAK Method for time management — especially for moms who want ambition and calm This is a grounded conversation about strategy, motherhood, marketing, and creating a business that supports your life — not competes with it. From there, the conversation flows into today’s overwhelming media landscape, the Nancy Guthrie case, and the impact of constant headlines on our nervous systems. They unpack conspiracy theories, social media influence, and the challenge of raising grounded children in a world that feels louder and more chaotic than ever. The episode also explores: Peptides for recovery and healing Hormonal treatments and aging The mental side of health management How to focus on what you can control What it means to parent in today’s culture It’s honest, nuanced, sometimes controversial, and deeply relatable. Self-Doubt, Leadership & Hosting a Women’s Retreat
Self-Doubt, Leadership & Hosting a Women’s Retreat: What No One Tells You About Leveling Up After every women’s retreat comes the quiet. The hugs fade. The photos get posted. The room clears. And then the question creeps in: Was it enough? In this solo episode, Brittany pulls back the curtain on what leadership actually feels like behind the scenes of hosting a transformational retreat for ambitious women. Because while retreats look powerful on the outside — connection, community, elevated experiences — what most people don’t see is the inner dialogue of the woman holding the room. The self-doubt. The standards. The pressure to make sure everyone walks away changed. This episode is for the woman who is: • Building a business • Creating community • Growing her visibility • Leading others • Expanding into bigger rooms • And quietly asking herself if she’s doing enough Inside, we talk about: – The emotional high of hosting a retreat for women – The subtle self-doubt that shows up at every new level – Why “Is this enough?” is actually a leadership trait – The difference between self-evaluation and self-rejection – How to move through doubt without shrinking – Why perfection doesn’t scale — alignment does – What truly creates transformation inside women’s retreats – How to take needle-moving action even when your confidence wobbles If you are building something — a coaching business, a personal brand, a room for women, a movement — this episode will meet you exactly where you are. Because leveling up does not remove doubt. It teaches you how to lead while it’s present. And that’s the work. 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? Connection Is the New Luxury with Emily May Shimwell
Connection Is the New Luxury: Motherhood, Community & Building Rooms That Matter with Emily May Shimwell In this episode of The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast, Brittany sits down with Emily May Shimwell — Yorkshire-born storyteller, professional gatherer of humans, and founder of Dine Wilder Events — for a powerful conversation about motherhood, identity, and why connection is the new luxury. Emily shares how Dine Wilder was born from a deep desire to pull women out from behind their screens and back into real life. Using the dinner table as her vehicle, she designs in-person experiences — curated dinners, panel events, and conferences — that create spaces where conversation flows, confidence returns, and genuine connection takes root. Since September 2024, over 800 women have pulled up a chair at Dine Wilder gatherings, choosing depth, presence, and community over noise, performance, and comparison. Together, Brittany and Emily explore the quiet isolation many mothers feel, the importance of maintaining a strong sense of self, and how intentional spaces — and small acts of courage — can completely change how women show up in their lives, relationships, and work. As a mum to Jack (5) and Wilf (3), Emily speaks honestly about building something meaningful while raising young children, jumping before you’re ready, and creating rooms people are still talking about long after they leave. This episode is an invitation to reconnect — with yourself, with other women, and with what actually matters. ✨ What We Talk About Why connection is the new luxury in motherhood and modern life The story behind Dine Wilder and building intentional, in-person community Motherhood, identity, and not losing yourself after becoming a mom How curated spaces help women soften, open up, and feel seen The power of intergenerational relationships between women Choosing depth, presence, and joy over hustle and performance Jumping before you’re ready and trusting your intuition Why brands that lead with humanity build deeper loyalty Creating rooms — in life and business — that truly matter 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? From the Grammys to Your Bank Account: Authenticity, Money & Modern Life | Anything But Average Mondays
From the Grammys to Your Bank Account: Authenticity, Money & Modern Life | Anything But Average Mondays In this episode, Brittany Anderson and Christina Lecuyer dive into the kinds of conversations many people are thinking about — but not always saying out loud. From the Grammys and public authenticity to money habits, subscriptions, student debt, and the real cost of education, this episode blends cultural commentary with real-life financial awareness. Brittany and Christina unpack how quickly expenses can add up, why understanding your personal finances is a form of self-leadership, and how women in particular often undervalue their worth — both personally and professionally. They also explore alternative paths to success beyond traditional education, the rise of trades and small businesses, and the importance of real-world experience over checking boxes. At its core, this conversation is about ownership — of your voice, your money, your value, and your life. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by finances, questioned the “right” path, or struggled to confidently ask for what you’re worth, this episode is for you. 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? The Right Women Always Find the Room
The Right Women Always Find the Room A late-night reflection on trust, growth & women’s community On the eve of leaving for Palm Springs, I’m recording this episode from a very real, very honest place. This is a late-night reflection on what it means to trust your yes, to step outside your comfort zone, and to say yes to being in the room — even when it feels uncomfortable, imperfect, or inconvenient. Every time women gather, something powerful happens. The right women show up. The conversations go where they’re meant to go. And growth unfolds in ways you could never plan. In this episode, I share why bringing women together — especially moms and women entrepreneurs — is the heart of what I do, why leadership doesn’t require perfection, and why space, connection, and trust are exactly what we need right now. If you’ve been feeling the nudge to choose yourself, to step into a room, or to trust where you’re being guided — this one is for you. “The right women don’t find the room by accident. They find it when they trust themselves enough to say yes.” PODCAST WRITE-UP: 🔥 READY FOR SUPPORT? Brittany shares a framework used inside the MOMentum Collective, helping women reconnect to who they are in their current season and how that alignment creates momentum instead of burnout. The second half of this episode features a replay of a powerful and timely conversation with nutritionist and former athlete Kelsey Poulter. This episode aligns seamlessly with Brittany’s recent conversation with Dr. Stacey Sims, continuing the discussion around fueling younger athletes, female athletes, and performance longevity. If you’re a mom of an athlete, coach, or someone supporting young athletes, this conversation is one you won’t want to miss. PART ONE: SOLO COACHING — LEADERSHIP STARTS WITH YOU In this solo coaching segment, Brittany explores the often-overlooked truth that leadership begins with self-leadership — not titles, roles, or expectations. She walks through a practical framework used with private clients and inside the MOMentum Collective, focusing on: Why clarity creates momentum How ownership leads to empowerment Why follow-through matters more than motivation How leadership at home and work is modeled, not explained Why alignment reduces burnout and overwhelm This segment is for women who want to lead well — without losing themselves in the process. PART TWO: REPLAY — FUELING THE FUTURE WITH KELSEY POULTER In this replay, Brittany sits down with Kelsey Poulter to discuss the nutritional needs of young athletes and the powerful role food plays in performance, recovery, and long-term health. Kelsey shares her journey from competitive athlete to nutritionist and breaks down common myths around sports nutrition — particularly those impacting female athletes. Together, they explore how education, support, and accountability can change the trajectory of an athlete’s development. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE SOLO COACHING TAKEAWAYS Leadership starts with self-awareness and clarity Momentum comes from alignment, not pressure Ownership creates freedom, not blame Consistency builds trust — with yourself and others Self-leadership sets the tone for families and organizations KELSEY POULTER CONVERSATION TAKEAWAYS Persistence plays a huge role in athletic success Transitioning from athlete to nutritionist can be deeply fulfilling Nutrition is a critical component of athletic performance Carbohydrates are essential for energy and performance Sugar is not the enemy for active athletes Food should be understood as fuel, not restriction Athletes often underestimate their caloric needs Protein intake should be individualized Meal planning supports consistency and success Nutrition education should start early Female athletes face unique health considerations, including menstrual health Hydration directly impacts performance and recovery Breakfast and sleep are non-negotiables for young athletes Accountability improves habit consistency Group-based nutrition programs provide cost-effective support Community creates motivation and follow-through Proper fueling can help prevent injuries and burnout MEMORABLE QUOTES FROM THE EPISODE “Food is fuel for my body.” “Carbs are awesome.” “Sugar is their best friend.” “Whatever is going to work for you.” “You want your training to go up.” “Stop skipping breakfast.” “Put your phone away for better sleep.” CONNECT WITH KELSEY POULTER Follow Kelsey on Instagram: 👉 https://www.instagram.com/kelseypoulter/ FINAL THOUGHT Leadership — whether in your home, career, or community — starts with how you lead yourself. And for young athletes, performance starts with education, proper fueling, and support. Reframing Anxiety: Why It’s Not the Enemy (and What Women Really Need to Heal)
Reframing Anxiety: Why It’s Not the Enemy (and What Women Really Need to Heal) with Lori Streetor Anxiety. Burnout. Emotional eating. Sleep struggles. If you’ve ever felt like your mind just won’t shut off, this conversation will land deeply. In this powerful and honest episode, Brittany Anderson sits down with therapist Lori Streeter, who has spent over 20 years supporting women through anxiety, emotional eating, burnout, and major life transitions. Together, they unpack the outdated stigma around therapy and reframe anxiety — not as something to “get rid of,” but as something to understand, work with, and even harness. Lori shares why so many women are exhausted beyond rest, how anxiety often shows up through sleep issues and food relationships, and what’s really happening beneath the surface when we call ourselves “just stressed.” This episode is a reminder that therapy doesn’t have to be heavy or intimidating — and that asking for support is not weakness, it’s wisdom. In this episode, we cover: Why therapy isn’t all gloom and doom (and never should be) How anxiety can actually be a superpower when understood properly The connection between anxiety, sleep, and constant mental load Why emotional eating is often rooted in secrecy and self-protection The misunderstood role of bariatric counseling in mental health Burnout vs overwhelm — and how to tell the difference Why the “anxious generation” is more aware, not broken How intensive therapy experiences can accelerate healing The importance of normalizing honest conversations about mental health Whether you’re navigating anxiety yourself, questioning your relationship with food, or wondering if therapy is “for you,” this episode offers clarity, compassion, and a whole lot of permission. You don’t need to do this alone. Sound Bites “Anxiety doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.” “Food is often a coping mechanism long before it’s a problem.” “Burnout is not stress — it’s what happens when stress never ends.” The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast – Motherhood, Mindset, Fitness & Goal Setting for Modern Moms Balancing mom life, personal growth, and your own goals without losing yourself? Wellness Without Overwhelm: Real Conversations on Fuel, Movement & Energy | MOMentum Collective GUEST SERIES This episode is a little different. Today, we’re sharing a mash-up conversation pulled straight from inside the MOMentum Collective during our Health & Wellness focus month. You’ll hear honest, practical conversations with Michelle Kilduff and Jennifer Temperley — two women who approach wellness in a way that actually fits real life. We talk about food and cooking without perfection. How and why supplements and capsules can support your body. Movement that feels doable, not punishing. And what sustainable health really looks like when you’re juggling work, family, and everything in between. This isn’t about extremes, rules, or chasing the next wellness trend. It’s about building habits that support your energy, your health, and your life — without overwhelm. This episode is just one glimpse into what happens inside the MOMentum Collective. While this month focused on health and wellness, the Collective also dives deep into business, personal growth, mindset, leadership, and accountability — all designed to help women build real momentum in every area of their lives. If you’ve been craving conversations like this, support like this, and a space where you don’t have to do it all alone — this is your sign. Michelle Kilduff Michelle Kilduff is passionate about helping women simplify their approach to health and wellness in a way that fits real life. She believes food, movement, and daily habits should support your energy, not control your life. Michelle focuses on practical, sustainable choices that help women feel stronger, healthier, and more confident without overwhelm or extremes. https://www.mkilduffcoaching.com/ Jennifer Temperley Jennifer Temperley brings a grounded, realistic perspective to wellness, with a focus on nourishment, daily movement, and supporting the body through intentional habits. Gifts Are Hard, Health Is Personal & Your Mindset Matters More Than You Think | Anything But Average Mondays
Gifts Are Hard, Health Is Personal & Your Mindset Matters More Than You Think | Anything But Average Mondays In this real, wide-ranging conversation, Christina and Brittany dive into the everyday topics that quietly shape our lives — health, hormones, money, mindset, and the pressure to “get it right,” especially during busy seasons. They kick things off with honest health updates, from sinus infections to wearable health tech, and share candid thoughts on tracking data versus trusting your body. From there, the conversation shifts into the stress of gift-giving, why it often feels so overwhelming, and why experiences almost always mean more than material things. The episode also touches on investing — stripping away the fear, complexity, and noise to focus on consistency, patience, and mindset — and how lessons from market shifts (like COVID) mirror the way we navigate life. Finally, Christina and Brittany open up about anxiety, especially as it relates to hormonal changes, food cravings, and the comfort found in nostalgia (yes, including the healing power of a grilled cheese). This episode is equal parts grounded, comforting, and perspective-shifting — a reminder that simplicity, trust, and presence often matter more than perfection. • Navigating health challenges and listening to your body • Wearable health tech and knowing when data helps (and when it doesn’t) • Why gift-giving feels so hard — and how to make it meaningful • Personalized gifts vs. pressure purchases • Why experiences often beat “things” • Simple, sustainable investing strategies • Mindset lessons from market volatility • Anxiety, hormones, and emotional regulation • Food cravings, comfort, and nostalgia • Trusting the process — in health, money, and life • Health changes can hit even when you “do everything right” • Data is helpful — but intuition still matters • Gifts don’t need to be expensive to be meaningful • Experiences create deeper, longer-lasting connections • Investing works best when it’s consistent and uncomplicated • Mindset is everything — in money, health, and life • Hormones play a major role in anxiety, especially for women • Comfort foods can be healing, not shameful • Reflection helps calm future-focused anxiety “I have a sinus infection.” “Gifts are so hard.” “Buying gifts is hard.” technology gift giving investing mindset anxiety hormones food cravings wellness personal growth relationships experiences vs things women’s health financial mindset The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast – Motherhood, Mindset, Fitness & Goal Setting for Modern Moms Balancing mom life, personal growth, and your own goals without losing yourself? Before You Throw in the Towel… Listen to This December Theory | The Weekly Mom Moment
Before You Throw in the Towel… Listen to This December Theory | The Weekly Mom Moment December is a strange month. It feels heavy and hopeful at the same time. It asks us to slow down… and also invites us to align before the new year rush pulls us in. In this honest, heart-forward episode, Brittany opens up about what this season has really looked like behind the scenes — hospital visits, the shift of a child moving out, the emotional rollercoaster of volleyball tryouts, and the quiet moments that remind us how fast life can change. From there, she introduces The December Theory — the idea that December isn’t asking you to do more… it’s asking you to see yourself. To notice what you’ve been carrying. To choose rest if you need rest — and alignment if you’re ready for alignment. Brittany shares her own daily anchors that help her stay centered during chaotic seasons: • intuitive movement • real hydration • gratitude in any form • micro-moments of quiet • sauna + cold plunge when her body asks for it • and gentle check-ins with her “future self” This episode is a reminder that December is not the month to throw in the towel — it’s the month to rewrite how you finish your year. And if you’re craving clarity, grounding, or a fresh internal start, Brittany invites you to join her for: ✨ The 2026 Vision Map Workshop — December 28 at 9 AM PST (Free) Build the year. From Love Is Blind to Self-Love: Kelly Chase on Healing, Boundaries & Becoming Magnetic
From Love Is Blind to Self-Love: Kelly Chase on Healing, Boundaries & Becoming Magnetic In this powerful and deeply honest episode, Brittany Anderson sits down with Kelly Chase — entrepreneur, coach, and reality TV standout from Netflix’s Love Is Blind. Kelly opens up about her evolution from corporate burnout to becoming a woman rooted in self-worth, boundaries, and deep inner healing. Kelly shares the raw truth about what fame brought into her life—both the noise and the clarity—and how choosing herself became the turning point for everything: her peace, her purpose, and her relationships. Together, Brittany and Kelly dive into: What burnout really looks like beneath the surface. Rebuilding self-trust after years of people-pleasing. Why rest IS productive (and actually necessary). How manifestation works when you finally feel worthy of what you’re calling in. Attracting aligned love and friendships instead of chasing the wrong ones. The importance of boundaries when you’re evolving. Kelly’s signature program, Goddess Magic, and how it helps women step into their power and finally own their worth. If you’re in a season of reinvention, reclaiming your energy, or rebuilding your self-belief — this episode will feel like a warm, honest exhale. Choosing yourself is the foundation of self-worth. Healing from burnout requires rest, honesty, and boundaries. Manifestation works when you act like the version of you who already has the thing. Self-love is a practice, not a destination. Boundaries protect your energy and rebuild trust with yourself. Pain can be turned into purpose — and even profit. Goddess Magic is Kelly’s pathway to helping women step into power, worthiness, and magnetic energy. https://www.instagram.com/chaselifewithkelly/?hl=en The Mom Sweat Sanity Podcast – Motherhood, Mindset, Fitness & Goal Setting for Modern Moms Balancing mom life, personal growth, and your own goals without losing yourself? A Packed Jewelry Store: Are We Really in a Recession? | Anything But Average Mondays
A Packed Jewelry Store: Are We Really in a Recession? | Anything But Average Mondays In this episode, Christina shares a hilarious moment when her watch strap snapped and clattered to the floor — the kind of everyday chaos every woman knows too well. But the real twist? What happened next: a packed jewelry store, lineups, and people buying high-ticket items like the economy didn’t get the memo. Brittany jumps in with her signature perspective, highlighting how these tiny everyday moments tell bigger stories about people, spending habits, and the weird contradictions of “the economy.” Is it struggling? Thriving? Or just… confusing? From watch fails to unexpected behavioral insights, this convo reminds us that the most ordinary moments are often the most revealing — and the most entertaining. Even chaotic little moments can turn into the best stories. Consumer behavior doesn’t always match the headlines. Local businesses can be packed even when everyone claims money is tight. Humor is hiding in almost every daily mishap. Personal experiences can shift how you see the world around you.
