The Dandelion Effect: Reframing Worth, Visibility, and How You See Yourself

In this week’s episode, I share how a simple springtime run in Chicago led me to a powerful reminder about perception and self‑worth. Learn how dandelions, who were once prized, then dismissed, and have now been rediscovered, can mirror the way our identities can be shaped by the stories society tells about us. Together we’ll dig into how perception becomes reality, especially for neurodivergent, creative, and out‑of‑the‑box thinkers who’ve been misunderstood for generations. This episode invites you to reframe how you see yourself and step into a more empowered version of your Next. Ready to shift your own narrative? Book your free 30‑minute strategy session designed to meet you exactly where you are and tak that first step towards your Next. For a full transcript of today’s episode, email [email protected] with the word “transcript” in the subject line. Running Into the Wind: Resilience, Reflection, and Autism Acceptance

In this episode, I open with the story of my first running race of the year, and the lessons that showed up for me between the gusts of wind and the shifting course. I talk about what it means to start strong, slow down, and still honor your pace, especially when you’re rebuilding. This race becomes a metaphor for consistency, self-compassion, and returning to goals that once felt out of reach. From there, I shift into this week’s discussion honoring Autism Acceptance Month and share what the actually autistic community wants you to know, drawing from my years of living, teaching, and coaching within neurodivergent communities. I also highlight how you can amplify autistic voices, explain who ASAN is, along with why many in the adult autistic community feel better represented by them versus Autism Speaks. Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, setting personal goals, or learning how to be a better ally, this episode invites you to reflect, grow, and keep showing up - wind and all. Are you ready for personalized support? Harmony, Balance, and the Bridge Ahead: 444 Reflections for Creatives & Neurodivergent Thinkers

In today’s episode, I explore the powerful symbolism of the 444 angel number and how its message of balance, protection, and divine guidance showed up during the 4th Women’s Wellness Summit. I then go on to share why the first quarter of the year is an ideal time for intentional reflection and offer four simple questions to help you assess your growth, challenges, and next steps. Plus, I share my answers to these same questions as I guide you through my reflection process and discuss how my own coach’s insight into overworking and overcomplicating has given me a new lens through which to see myself. Whether you’re a late‑diagnosed neurodivergent adult, a deep creative, or an out‑of‑the‑box thinker, this episode invites you to pause, reflect, and realign with the path ahead. Ready for personalized support? The Courage to Learn: Knowledge as the Bravest Resistance of All

In this week’s episode, I continue our series on the many faces of resistance. Join me as I discuss how knowledge itself becomes a powerful form of resistance, and why the courage to learn, unlearn, and evolve is one of the bravest acts we can choose. In addition to sharing another famous face of resistance from the Harlem Renaissance, jazz great Duke Ellington, I’ll also share my personal journey of how knowledge has been a type of resistance in my own life - whether because I challenged myself or was challenged by others to be open to receiving it. Lastly, we’ll unpack how knowledge can be a powerful act of resistance in your own life as you gain understanding about your brain, your values, your definition of success, and what you need to get you there. This knowledge empowers you to resist those outside forces trying to tell you who you are. Ready to have the power of self-knowledge at full force in your life? Book your FREE 30-minute Strategy Session, a powerful space where together we’ll explore what you need, and then you’ll leave with a tool, strategy, or action step you can use right away. Bonus: receive a 10% credit towards any coaching package if you book in the month of February. Love as Resistance: Why Relationships Are a Radical Act

In this week’s episode, I explore how love and relationships can be one of the most powerful forms of resistance. For many of us, relationships can be both a foundation for growth and one of the things we are most afraid of. However, they’re often the very thing that helps us withstand outside pressure, or resist. Join me as I discuss how using love as a verb, especially in a world that often profits from division can be the greatest act of resistance of all. If this episode has you curious to explore further, wanting to resist in your own way, or desiring to build stronger relationships in your own life, I’d love to support you! All month long, I’m offering my signature free strategy session plus a 10% credit toward any coaching offer you choose if you book in February. Resistance as Self-Care: Thriving Through Winter, History, and Hard Seasons

It’s my February kickoff episode! Join me as I begin a month-long series exploring resistance as both a cultural force and a deeply personal act of empowerment for us all. From the mood-shifting sunlight in a Chicago winter to the brilliance of the Harlem Renaissance, I share how creativity, joy, and self-expression have always been powerful forms of resistance. You’ll learn why developing your ability to focus on areas in your life in which you have direct impact and control is a transformative mindset shift, especially for ADHD, autistic, and multi‑passionate minds. I also unpack the difference between self-reflection and actionable growth (inspired by one of my own favorite podcasts!), and why showing up for yourself is one of the most radical choices you can make. This episode will embolden you to challenge old narratives, reclaim your energy, and embrace resistance at its most personal level.Ready to turn the inspiration this episode creates into real momentum? This is your personal invitation to book your free strategy session with me today.Because You Can Do It. And I Can Help. You can also sign up here to get my Neurodivergent Success Series delivered directly to your inbox!Curious about my love for That Was Us (along with the original show This is Us)? Check it out for yourself, and then let me know what you think. Soup, Surrender, and Starting 2026 with Purpose

In this first episode of 2026, I invite you into a few of my cozy New Year’s Day traditions: pajamas, family, homemade soups, and a lively Dungeons & Dragons session, before I dive into the heart of today’s conversation: setting your intention for the year ahead. As the “Twixtmas” (my new favorite word!) haze lifts and life begins to reset, I break down why resolutions often fail and how choosing an intention or “word of the year” creates a more compassionate, flexible, and growth‑centered foundation. I also share the key differences between resolutions and intentions, why intentions support true thriving, and how to choose an intention that aligns with who you’re becoming. You’ll learn about my own journey with intention-setting, which was born at the start of 2021 from a need to restore balance in my life in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic of 2020. It’s something I now do at the beginning of each year, with my 2025 intention of “Growth” leading to such an unexpected shift that I hadn’t even imagined a year ago. At the end, you’ll even find out what my intention for 2026 is, and I promise it’s a doozy! This intention gives me just the right mix of excitement and discomfort that I know will support continued growth in my personal and professional life - which is exactly what I want for you. Whether you’re still reflecting on 2025 or ready to step boldly into the new year, this episode will help you ground your energy, focus your mindset, and start 2026 with purpose. Want support reflecting on your 2025 growth and choosing a 2026 intention that will both inspire and challenge you? Schedule your free 1:1 strategy session using this link, and let’s work on it together. https://tidycal.com/kimberlyfreyconsulting/strategysessionYou can also sign up here to get my Neurodivergent Success Series delivered directly to your inbox! For a full transcript of today’s episode, email [email protected] with the word “transcript” in the subject line. 🚀 Support the Show: Follow, like, share, and subscribe to You Can Do It to help grow our community designed for neurodivergent adults, deep creatives, and out-of-the-box thinkers trying to find their way. Because You Can Do It.And I Can Help. 🌐 Let’s Connect:Website: KFreyconsulting.comFacebook: Kimberly Frey ConsultingInstagram: @kimberlyfreycoachingBlog: kfreyconsulting.blog

In this final episode of 2026, I’m inviting you into a cozy year-end reflection that starts with three lasagnas, family traditions, and a whole lot of gratitude. As Christmas passes, Hanukkah wraps, and the winter solstice settles in, I’m sharing the stories, celebrations, and even a little Bears playoff excitement that shaped this week. I also reflect on why I chose to keep releasing episodes through the holidays this year and how that decision aligns with my commitment to thriving, not just surviving. Together, we’ll walk through three powerful reflection questions that are aligned with our recent conversations about Thriving. These three questions are designed to help you notice your growth, honor your proudest moments, and step into 2026 with clarity and intention. This episode is both a summary of and reminder that thriving is about progress, presence, and paying attention to who you are becoming. I also can’t wait to share what’s coming in January, but for now, let’s close out this year with purpose, gratitude, and a whole lot of heart. Finally Seen: How an ADHD Diagnosis Rewrote My Daughter's Story

In this deeply personal episode, I welcome my daughter Jenna as my very special guest to share her emotional journey of growing up misdiagnosed and misunderstood. From early struggles in school to years of confusion and frustration, her story sheds light on the hidden challenges many neurodivergent individuals face - especially generations of women who were misdiagnosed due to a false narrative that only boys had ADHD. It wasn’t until the beginning of this year that Jenna received her ADHD diagnosis which has brought clarity, validation, and a new sense of self. Together, we explore how being “finally seen” has transformed Jenna’s confidence, relationships, and daily life. This candid conversation offers hope, insight, and a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to understand your brain and embrace your truth.Interested in Jenna’s custom alt-clothing or allergen-friendly baked goods? Why ADHD Isn’t Actually Rising (We’re Just Finally Seeing It)

In this episode, I explore the growing curiosity around the rise in ADHD diagnoses, especially among adults and women. Using the powerful metaphor of Galileo’s stars, I reframe the conversation: it’s not that ADHD is suddenly more common; it’s that we’ve finally developed the tools, language, and awareness to recognize it. From shifts in pediatric care and education to the impact of social media and self-discovery, I unpack why so many are now finding clarity and connection through diagnosis. I also share personal insights from my work as a coach and educator, highlighting the relief and empowerment that come from understanding how differently wired brains truly work. Are you an adult newly diagnosed with ADHD or autism?
