Celiac disease affects millions of people worldwide, yet many still do not understand the seriousness of this autoimmune condition. In this special episode of the Menopause Mindshift Self-Love Podcast, we talk about the realities of living with celiac disease and why safe gluten-free food is not a trend or lifestyle choice. For people with celiac disease, eating gluten can cause serious health complications, including long-term damage such as osteoporosis and increased cancer risk. This episode is part of Podcast Thon, a global initiative where podcasters dedicate an episode to a charity that matters to them. I am supporting Celiac Canada, the national charity committed to improving the lives of Canadians living with celiac disease through education, advocacy, and research. This topic is very personal to me.
